thekrafter:And you think, it's after suddenly raising the price of petrol that we should now start running to fix PHCN? Shouldn't the task of fixing PHCN have happened earlier? And knowing that the problem with PHCN has not been fixed combined with the petrol price increase, what does that tell you about the intelligence of the people at the helm of affairs? |
I don't know why dummies keep talking as if petrol is only used to power automobiles. So how about generators? Let me preempt and say, I should get solar panels right? How much power can solar panels generate? Yet PHCN might not provide power for up to 3 days? |
Odunnu:How do you turn a joke into a joke? |
Will the buses also help power the millions of generators running on petrol? |
You are a funny guy. What does the state of California have to do with NNPC? It appears you don't even know what the real crux of the matter is. |
Lol. He's either right or wrong; but he's more likely correct than you. You are making pronouncements on a sector you barely know compared to the man, yet you declared he's wrong (even without seeing his analysis). Is that logical? Have you ever worked in the sector or even NNPC? The man made his analysis pretty public yet I don't see NNPC refuting it. They have been mute, yet you think you know better. |
I don't need to read his analysis to know that he is clearly mistaken, if he thinks that N65/liter doesn't represent a subsidy.
And you think you know more than a former Petroleum Minister? |
I don't think we are on the same page. I only tried to show you that your suggestion of a marginal price differential on importation is incorrect. For a proper analysis check Prof Tam David-West's analysis which showed that even @ 65/liter there was no subsidy; rather there was price inflation. |
I have never understood this argument. I guess it is marginally cheaper to transport crude oil to a refinery in Nigeria if your target is the Nigerian market. But taking the crude, shipping it abroad and refining it there probably isn't much more expensive. Stated differently, one shouldn't expect that the price of producing refined oil will be much cheaper in Nigeria than elsewhere. Marginally yes, but not much. Assuming that there aren't some subsidies.
What don't you understand? That transportation is costly? Or that importation is costly (import duties)? If you think transportation of oil from Nigeria to the US will only make it marginally costly, can you then explain why cars shipped in from the US usually cost double the price of the same car in the US? Or you think it's just the greedy Nigerian at work again? |
989900:Of course we do. The excess is spirited away through our offshore waters to "First World Countries" who need them more. |
FEMARY1:Those who know have already demonstrated that there really is no "subsidy". And using commonsense comparing the gas price in Nigeria and the US, as soon as the Nigerian price actually begins to approach the US price you know there's no subsidy. Rather there's a price inflation. |
I can't quite believe anybody living in the US does not realize why there really is a half-hearted effort to stop illegal immigrants from Mexico. Believe you me, if the disadvantage outweighed the advantage, the US will put a complete stop to it. You can't compare the effort in securing the US/Mexico border to the Nigeria/Benin or Nigeria/Niger border. |
y2kaustin: @logica, are you sure you are not suffering from ancestral course?, you really need cleansing in every ramification.i rest my case, you better go and seek for God's forgiveness or else!!!!!Your father is suffering from ancestral curse. The name of the curse is ignorance. That's why he was a neanderthal, and you are a monkey; the intelligence continues to dwindle from generation to generation. Blithering f00l. |
y2kaustin:Only logical people can benefit not id!ots like you. As long as imbeciles like you still exist and are the majority, there is very little sensible people can do. |
They apparently received a security alert being circulated by United Nations officials, claiming an attack is planned for Lagos. We dey wait. |
saintneo:Because his parents were not Christians? Or because they didn't know they could pray to God? |
OmoPastor:You seem to forget that the same purported Boko-Haram attacked Muslims during their celebration. |
isquar3d3:LOL. But I thought Jesus was so eager to be used as a sacrificial lamb? But belief apart, analysis of the whole event showed Jesus knew he had it coming and had resigned himself to fate. |
You mean, they can't pray about it and bind the "Demons of Boko-Haram"? |
IbroSaunks:. . .and wouldn't the answer be, "as much math as the problem domain required"? Now when you think about how varied the problems programmers are trying to solve are, what does that tell you? |
Kobojunkie:All I can say is the ONLY kind of self-taught programmers that you can ridicule as you did in your post are those PHP programmers, and not the ones who actually provide the syllabus which you go study over a 4 year period. If you can't get that, then I'm afraid of the kind of code you come up with. |
Kobojunkie:Before I go any further to insult you, can you then tell us who you refer to as "so called self taught programmers"? |
IbroSaunks:. . .or perhaps, as pointed out, you don't know what programming really is. |
Kobojunkie:It seems you have decided self-taught = set of all web programmers e.g PHP "gurus". If that's the case I think you are mistaken. Many of the pioneers of game graphics and computer game development techniques were self-taught (e.g John Carmack). Now a bunch of the concepts they came up with are being TAUGHT in college classes. Besides you can still be in college and self-taught in the sense that you are picking up skills not taught in class. The fact remains that the best programmers in college had already started off by themselves probably way before college. If I was to depend on what I was taught in college, I don't think I would have stretched my career this far. Anyway, I agree with omo_to_dun's professor. I can't even believe that question is being asked. |
Of course you only score an OWN GOAL on YOUR goalkeeper. But that ball had no right going in. That goalkeeper is the weakest link. |
Apparently you just became a good candidate for PETA membership. |
While I can hardly put any evil beyond the CIA, I find this hard to believe especially since Reverend Jones killed himself. CIA agents usually escape after the atrocities have been committed. I watched a documentary on the incident recently, and the camera focused on a sign-board with an ironic quote (by George Santayana): "Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it". For what ever reason, Reverend Jones could relate to this quote, but I found it ironic since the quote applies to what's currently going on in Christianity - quite a number of churches refer to their "MOG" as "Daddy"; just as was Reverend Jones. |
This is to him who hath understanding. Decipher this message: His followers called him "Daddy". Jones was called "Father" or "Dad" by the adults as wellhttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jonestown Does this ring a bell? |
Check out the Etisalat website: http://etisalat.com.ng Go to "our services>Devices" menu. You will find "Gaga Phone" and other phones which run on Android. |

@efisher, I will advise you ignore this monkey. He's either a troll, or mentally ill. |
