Anyway a final and general post:

This is nothing but celebrity news - just informational. But the typical bigot (who by the way has 4 or 5 girl-friends) see it as an avenue to criticize. It's very simple; read and fvck off.

Also from my experience, it's very insecure men (apart from the religious) who usually criticize other men for being "promiscuous". You can criticize the average Yoruba man for one thing - his swag.

This is the envy of many men who spend years accumulating money to get the confidence to speak to the level of women who broke-a$$ Yoruba men talk to. Let's face it; many men are not promiscuous by choice: they have no game. They are not promiscuous because they are religious or focused; they are simply unable to attract women (even with heaps of dough). The typical Yoruba broke-a$$ man will fvck the wives of money bags and take their women. Break their hearts. That I know. So focus on that.

Well. i like to sometimes illustrate my point from personal experiences. A married Yoruba girl once came to my office, told me what shewas looking for and i told her what she needed to do. She was not satisfied, she instead started enquring about where i lived and how she would like to come and visit me.
So just to call her bluff, i told her where i stayed, this married yoruba lass came to my house scantily dressed and making advances basically she offered me nyanshing. now am not gonna say if i accepted the nyanshing or not.  As for the yoruba guys they will nyash their best friend's wife in a jiffy, also witnessed that happen. I even know one Yoruba guy who went about telling eveyone that a girl had AIDS simply because the girl refused to nyansh him. Na wa for dem ooo
From your post I can tell you should simply be ignored (if your moniker is not telling enough).

All the Yoruba guys (and there were like 17 of them) that were working at my father's printing press while i was in Nigeria were all promiscuous and had numerous concubines. I would know because they were brazen about it and talked openly of it. These women sometimes come to the office to see them even though we know they are not their wives and that they are all married. It was a common knowledge and all others who are not yorubas were always talking about it. Not saying Igbos and others do not engage in such way of life but it is not as pronounced as with the Yorubas. Most Igbo men who engage in extra-marital affairs often are afraid of the consequences and try all they can to shield their family from it.
LOL. Educated ignoramus. These men working at your father's printing press; what were their roles? So what's your point if you say Igbos also are promiscuous? Yet again you say Igbo men who are promiscuous usually hide it; so what's your point again after all whether you hide it or not, a promiscuous man is simply a promiscuous man? You sound confused. So their promiscuity is not as pronounced as the Yorubas? Why don't you go site your printing press in Igbo land and come back with the stats of the people you employ there?

Even in Lagos, except you are a blind Igbo person I don't know why you would begin to state that Yorubas are more promiscuous. It's not like the best of the Igbos converged in Lagos. You don't need to go back to Igbo land to confirm that Igbos are just as promiscuous as Yorubas generally. So making such a comment indicates self-delusion.

And as I pointed out, if a bush man comes from somewhere in Igbo land and lands in Agege and some other slums like Ajegunle and then makes "informed guesses" from his Yoruba neighbors in these slum areas, it's to be expected. Just as it's expected that a bush Nigerian going to America and living in the slums in Brooklyn can make "informed guesses" about African Americans in general. But an enlightened Igbo boy living in some GRA area in Igbo land arriving in Lagos to stay in Gbagada Phase 2 or Ikoyi will not draw the same conclusions.

But the only problem is they seem to be forgetting where they are coming from as they seem to forget all the promiscuous people they left behind where they were coming from. That is a strange kind of amnesia. An informed person will not let his prejudices cloud his judgement.

If rules-of-thumb are anything to go by, conclusions can be drawn from the fact that a sizable number of pros.titutes in Lagos and even Abuja are Igbo. I know this, and I am not making guesses here because I was deep into the club scene. Yet if you go to Igbo land, you won't find a disproportionate number of say Yoruba women or Idoma women into prostitution. Yet an Igbo woman will open her mouth and say Yoruba women are promiscuous? You can draw your conclusions.

there certainly is a GB alphabet in yoruba distinct from B i assume this to be the case in Ibo/Igbo
Actually the "gb" consonant sound in "Igbo" is between the Yoruba "gb" and the actual "b" consonant sounds. To confirm, ask an Igbo person to pronounce the Yoruba word "gbogbo" and you will see the difficulty they have in pronouncing the Yoruba "gb" consonant sound. (I noticed this in the Imo or should I say Owerri as I only had 2 samples and they both come from Owerri). They pronounced it as a soft "gb" closer to "b".

The way I see it, if I am not comfortable going to Hausa land to conduct business or live, yet a Hausa man can come to Yoruba land and live comfortably and conduct business the equation is not balanced. We shouldn't be together as a country then.

The fact that this is generally known but the promiscuity criticism is usually in the direction of Yoruba (coming from Igbo which to me is quite comical considering they are generally not immune to promiscuity) should tell you something. Basically turning a blind eye to their own bad eggs while focusing their searchlight on Yorubas who they want to hate. Yorubas call it "a wa wi" - fault finding. Mind you, I know many Igbo people who are not this self-deluding and it's basically because they are enlightened; as opposed to "bush".

Stop deceiving yourselves. Which new generation Yoruba muslims have one wife. Even the ones that have one wife usually have numerous concubines. As i'm talking to you there's a woman close to where i live that has 7 children from 7 different men. And all the men are married.
Again I speak of enlightenment. ALL the Yoruba Muslim acquaintances I have are monogamous. Well, they may have numerous concubines, but how does that make them different from you or any other Igbo man? I want you to say Igbo men generally don't have multiple concubines (which would be quite comical) so I can introduce you to a few.

With regard to the reference to the supposed promiscuous Yoruba woman with 7 children from 7 men (which bush Igbo people usually use to conclude that Yoruba women are promiscuous), again please tell me if you don't know ANY promiscuous Igbo women. Once you do, I will introduce you to a few Igbo women with just as many children from different men and those without children but even more promiscuous (basically pros.titutes).

You're right there are Igbo people who have had multiple pregnancies but you don't see such happening in record numbers as it is in the SW(no offense). I think it has a lot to do with culture or religion. It's mostly ramant among Yorua muslims.
I will take this as a semi-retraction. But it doesn't take one to be an astrophysicist to know that Islam APPEARS to support having multiple wives. The new generation Yoruba Muslims usually have one wife. That's the difference between enlightened and "bush". Where did you get the stats indicating this "record numbers"? Or you are making up your stats? I'm sure any stats you come up with will give similar results whether the samples come from Yoruba or Igbo land.

2face Idibia's case is an isolated one. It's very rampant among Yoruba men.
It always amuses me when bush people come to Yoruba land, mix up with bush Yoruba people and from them draw stereotypes on Yorubas in general - Yoruba men (and women) are promiscuous. Imagine an Igbo female saying Yoruba women are promiscuous (that too I have heard like this ridiculous post). I know enough Igbo men who have impregnated multiple girls; the only difference is that they ensure the girls have an abortion. I suppose the crime Femi is committing is keeping the kids? Well he's capable of taking care of the children.

I have been wondering why people keep saying they never received their 30% bonus. It could be scenarios:

1. You received it but didn't know it wouldn't show up in your balance when you do a *232#. If you check the response, you will see a bonus separate from your main balance.

2. You didn't register your SIM within the period stated. I registered sometime in August when I saw the promo and got the 30% on my top-ups. Then there was another promo (not for registering) not long after and I got that too. Immediately the promo ended, I got an SMS message telling me I would get the bonus soon. I got it 3 days later.

Do you have an idea of what the damage was and how much it would have cost? Even with comprehensive insurance it can be difficult to get the insurance company to fix the damage; too much paper work and several months of waiting time, and you may have to abandon the car till it's fixed. Do you know how much inconvenience you face in this kind of scenario? I will never be a supporter of the victim fixing the problem created by a careless, incompetent monkey. If you are human you should be ready to take responsibility for problems you create. It's the exact same reasoning when you get hit by a bus in traffic. Then the baboon starts prostrating and then when that doesn't work it turns into cajoling or even violence. Often he even gets the support from his passengers who many times even before they possibly take to violence make utterances like "you big pass this" or "the damage no too much" (as if they know how much the broken rear light of a Mercedes Benz will cost to fix).

As pointed out, some of these girls have been threatened with the death of their relatives if they manage to escape. OK, so you escape and you are granted asylum, what next? You think you and your family are safe?

They may have even witnessed the killing (or disappearance) of the "troublesome" ones amongst them, so how can they doubt the threat to their loved ones?

And if the syndicates are as cunning as some I've heard of, they may send baits to the girls to test them to see if they are willing to escape. Now how do you under the circumstances even identify a genuine help or a trip to your death (and disappearance)?

You may also want to wonder how in this present moment some people can still be conned into being taken away to Italy. It still boils down to ignorance (though a few may actually know what they are up against and may think they are sharp enough to find an escape route). Do not think everybody has access to Cable TV or read newspapers, talk less of Internet.

It's much more complicated than that.

Well, the few who have been able to beat the chains, were also trafficked from the villages. So I see no reason why more of them cannot them be informed on how the system works for them.
Look, the ones that escaped were HELPED; or just decided to take risks which could easily result in death; and then later got illuminated. Which was my point. You think they were just sitting in their darkened rooms in chains and suddenly had light-bulb moments? Immigration Law is not taught in obscure villages in Edo FYI.

I will also like to point out to you that prostitution even in countries where it is legal is controlled by criminal and brutal syndicates because it is very lucrative. A girl can't just skip along from no where and start hooking in street corners (even in the US); She will disappear very quickly and will be lucky if her body is ever found. That's what these girls face. Now add that to a huge dose of ignorance.

Problem I have with the attitude of some Nigerians abroad is they are still so stuck in that Nigerian mindset that they do not realize the authorities/law is there for their good.
You actually think a girl straight from the village can figure this out? Or you actually think someone who believes some mumbo-jumbo she recited while Unclad in front of some effigy will kill her if she reneges on an agreement can figure this out? There is a reason that such people are usually rescued by a concerned citizen informing the authorities or a lawyer: ignorance.
