https://cdn.pmnewsnigeria.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/01/Muazu-of-PDP-.jpg The crisis rocking the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP ) at the national level may soon consume it as the former National Chairman of the party, Ahmadu Adamu Muazu, may have concluded arrangements to form a new party with some notable chieftains of the party, investigations have revealed. Already, Muazu has allegedly succeeded in wooing some northern Nigeria power brokers as part of his agenda for 2019 Presidential election in the country, impeccable sources who pleaded anonymity have hinted. Investigations further revealed that, Muazu, otherwise known as “game changer”, has allegedly curried the support of some major northern leaders. Muazu who was said to have started consultation on his next political agenda may have recorded major achievements as he has also met with some leaders of the PDP who have consented to his plan and are a ready working together with for the realisation of his new dream to become the next President of Nigeria. Among the party’s big wigs who have allegedly met with Muazu are the former Senate President, David Mark; the incumbent Governor of Rivers State, Barrister Nyesom Wike; and the former Secretary to the Government of Federation,(SGF), Senator Ayim Pius Ayim. Further investigation revealed that Muazu with these other PDP leaders have held several secret meetings after which they were said to have agreed to move with their supporters to the new party to be formed in any moment from now. According to a reliable source, the last meeting of Alhaji Muazu with other PDP leaders in their resolve to move out en mass and form another party was successful. “Their last meeting which came up in Lagos last week was successful and I can assure you that all plans have been concluded. It seems there is no going back because I can confide in you that they have cemented their plan. “All I can tell you is that PDP is finished because by the time these people leave to form another party with our Game Changer, what remains again? I can as well confide in you that Alhaji Muazu has already secured the support of some powerful northern leaders who are already keying into his agenda. In fact, they have even started giving him some moral support and advice on how to go about it. The deal is already signed for 2019 and there is no going back,” the source said. It was gathered that Muazu’s reason for planning to go out of the PDP, is for him to get a soft landing and escape from being exposed by the party, as there have been several allegations against him involving anti-party activities. For instance, Ekiti State Governor, Mr Ayodele Fayose had accused Muazu of a secret deal with an APC leader before the presidential election with the intention to betray the PDP and the former President, Goodluck Ebele Jonathan which Fayose said was responsible for the PDP defeat in the 2015 general elections. http://www.pmnewsnigeria.com/2015/09/10/muazu-plans-to-form-new-party-run-for-president-in-2019/ |
The Federal Government on Thursday said it has dispatched a high-powered technical team to examine the location where a 300-level Accounting student, Oluchi Anekwe, was reportedly electrocuted at the University of Lagos. It said the technical team, led by the Managing Director of the Nigeria Electricity Management Services Limited, Engr. Peter Ewesor, had arrived Lagos and were on the ground to commence investigations into the matter. “At the end of the exercise, the team is expected to find out what actually went wrong and which group or individuals are culpable after which appropriate sanction will be forwarded to the regulator, Nigeria Electricity Regulatory Commission,” the Permanent Secretary, Federal Ministry of Power, Dr. Godknows Igali, said in a statement. He said the team would come up with a report, adding that the report would also contain future mitigating measures that would prevent such kind of occurrences. Igali expressed condolences to the bereaved family on behalf of the sector and noted that the ministry would ensure that proper investigation was done on the matter and culprits brought to book. According to media reports, Anekwe was returning to her room in Sodeinde New Hall on the campus when a high tension wire snapped and fell on her. It was also reported that the pole from which the wire fell had been faulty for a while but was left unattended to by the school management. “This was despite the fact that the institution had its own electricity distribution cable which it monitored, inspected and fixed in case of any problem,” the statement said. http://www.punchng.com/news/electrocution-fg-sends-technical-team-to-unilag/ |

The Anambra State Police Command has uncovered and evacuated four decomposing dead bodies in a room along Olisa Onyeka Crescent, Commissioner’s quarters, Ifite, Awka, the state capital. The policemen led by the state Commissioner of Police, Hassan Karma carried out the operation following a tip off, Tuesday morning. Sun reports that the police team, which was accompanied by an ambulance and some morticians, on arrival broke the door of the room and discovered four dead bodies already decaying. The four ladies reportedly died on Saturday night in a room without any injury on their bodies. One of the deceased, identified as Mrs. Chinwe Obi, said to be the owner of the room, was a staff of Anambra State Independent Electoral Commission INEC, Awka. Mrs. Onyebumuo noted that the tenants said awful water was emitting from her (deceased’s) room, adding that she had not picked her phone since Sunday. The landlady revealed that the deceased had lived in the building for 11 months. Also speaking, the Caretaker of the building, Ignatius Machie, said he was contacted on phone by some tenants who told him they suspected some people died in that room. It was confirmed by a tenant (name withheld) that the husband died on Friday and was taken to mortuary. However, the police is yet to ascertain the identities of other three deceased persons. The Commissioner of Police said some tenants reported to the police that they perceived awful odour emitting from the room suspecting that something funny might have occurred in the apartment. CP Hassan confirmed that the husband of the deceased tenant, who resided in Cotonou, died in the same room when he visited last Friday. http://dailypost.ng/2015/09/10/police-discover-decaying-corpses-of-inec-staff-three-other-ladies-in-anambra/ |

It is just so difficult for PDP to come to terms that they are no more in power. Just only yesterday, you will hear them shout 'Peedeepeee Power'. Trust me, that acronym has faded into the oblivion. Tinubu thank you for reminding them to shut up, sit and watch. |
The National Leader of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Ahmed Bola Tinubu, has asked the opposition party, the Peoples Democratic Party to keep its mouth shut if it has nothing meaningful to say. Tinubu strongly warned members of the former ruling party to remain silent on national issues because they ruined the country before their exit on Many 29. He stated this while speaking with State House correspondents after visiting President Muhammadu Buhari, along with Bisi Akande at the Presidential Villa, Abuja on Wednesday. His visit is coming barely 24 hours after former president, Olusegun Obasanjo also visited the Presidential Villa. The former Lagos State governor also refuted the report in some quarters that himself, former Vice President Atiku Abubakar and former interim National Chairman of the party, Chief Bisi Akande, were battling over who would emerge as the chairman of the party’s Board of Trustees (BoT). He insisted that the party was focused on supporting President Buhari to achieve his goal of transforming the nation. He said, “Don’t listen to rumours, there is no struggle. Our party is not even looking at the direction of power struggle or anything of such. “The support structure is to encourage and support the President as you have heard from Chief Bisi Akande, to help him institutionalize his goal, principle and vision for a new Nigeria.” On people attacking the president for not releasing his ministerial list, he said: “There is pitfall in rushing, quick fix, depending upon the depth of the rot. And that rush can cascade into mistakes of unimaginable magnitude. There is equally glory and recovery in slowness, when you have a slow fix of a bad foundation. “So to me, I would rather take the one that will last the country and endure for a longer period of time than the rush hour shopping.” He also disagreed with the Peoples Democratic Party’s claim that President Buhari was dictatorial. The APC chieftain said, “I disagree with that. He was elected on a platform of democracy, he has adhered to rule of law so far. What is dictatorship about what he has done? He has helped to stimulate the economy in the various states and that is where the people are. So what is dictatorship? “And the institutional paralysis had occurred in the country. It is very important for a steady man like the President to really help the nation recover from the paralysis and that is what he is doing. So I don’t see what is dictatorial about that.” “If they don’t have anything to say, they rather be quiet. They created what is wrong here today and we can’t sweep that under the carpet. There must be rule of law,” he added http://dailypost.ng/2015/09/09/pdp-should-keep-quiet-they-created-the-problem-we-are-facing-today-tinubu/ |

Nigerians don't just want recovery. It's about time they start disclosing names of these thieves and arraign them to face prosecution. People want justice for the injustice meted out by the previous administration. How can one person steal to the tune of billions? Does he or she want to eat 100 meals a day? GMB, please start jailing abeg. |
