I use to live opposite the Prince of Wales Club off Old Kent Road. Its a nice joint to pick up lots of unattached Black babes without much hassles. The girls do always outnumber the guys there.

I finished my Masters degree @ University of Westminster and i'm currently pursuing another PG course @ London Met Uni. Compared to the University of Westminster London Met is behind in terms of administration/research and prestige but it is far better than the other London Universities. It is the biggest University in London in terms of size with lots of Naija students at both the Holloway Rd and Moorgate campuses.

Christianity EtcRe: Brotherhood Of The Cross And Star by LondonCool(m): 11:59pm On Dec 22, 2006
Olumba Olumba Obu is the Spiritual leader of the Brother of the Cross and Star. Their H/qtrs is in Calabar, their members live in communes mainly around the Mbukpa area of Calabar South. Members believe that O.O.Obu is God (although he is from Biase local government area), and he is professed to have powers to settle impossible situations. There is a myth that he arrived as a Fish by the sea shore. It is also believed that the original O.O.Obu died mysteriously years ago, and that he can transpose himself metaphysically to different places without actually traveling there. His members occassionally clash and fight with members of Helen Ukpabio's (the Actress) church over doctrinal and personal issues.
AdvertsRe: Cross River State Christmas Festival '06 by LondonCool(m): 11:37pm On Dec 22, 2006
The problem is that there are not enough Hotels in Calabar to accommodate and match the teeming influx of visitors during this festive period. Apart from Metro,Mirage,Pyramid & Channel View Hotels there is  very big dearth of decent Hotels in Calabar to match the hype

How much will the festival cost the CR State Govt? Why force Civil Servants to take compulsory Annual leave during the month of December just to celebrate a carnival ? After the whole carnival, the civil servants still get owed 2 months salary.

TravelRe: Visa Requirements For Dubai? by LondonCool(m): 1:11am On Dec 22, 2006
Naijacutee,

Passengers are categorised into 2 1) Visa Nationals- They require mandatory visa's before entry into countries 2) Non-Visa nationals-They do not need to obtain visa's before traveling but obtain them at entry at the airport from the Immigration officers.

Nigerians are Visa-Nationals to the UK govt. But are Non-visa-nationals to the U.A.E govt, so when traveling to Dubai you simply should have proof of hotel accommodation and a return ticket to show to the immigration on arrival and your Nigerain passport gets stamped with a 60 day visa.
TravelRe: Uk Visa - Visa Appeal Process by LondonCool(m): 12:55am On Dec 22, 2006
Your appeal duration may depend on many variables but could take between 3-6 months.

After a rejection, you are told if you qualify for an appeal and where the appeal will go to. It is usually Assylum and Immigration Tribunal, London.Your Appeal will be sent to the AIT in London for registration which takes about 2-3 weeks, once registered and an appeal number is issued the ECO at the British post you applied will review the appeal along with his manager (ECM) .

In case the ECO/ECM decides to over turn the decision he will then send you a letter appeal withdraw form (APP9) .In case the  ECO decides to stand by his decision he will then have about 78 working days to prepare a report on the same and then send it to the AIT after which the AIT Judge will look at your appeal .If you have opted for a paper hearing the judge will make a decision based on the paper evidences you have given and if you have opted for a personal hearing then the sponsor will be given a hearing date and has to be attended by the representative or the sponsor.  You then apply to AIT attaching further evidence with a proviso that it has to be what the ECO is reasonably expected to be aware of.

AIT then sets a hearing date which is usually by a single judge - Adjudicator. Upon hearing both you (the petitioner) or your solicitor and the ECO (THE RESPONDENT REPRESENTED by Home Office staff), the Adjudicator takes a decision. That decision if favourable will usually instruct that an EC be issued. Otherwise the earlier decision is supported.

The story does not end here,  if the AIT judge decides to make a decision in your favour he will then send a letter about his decision to you as a appealent, your repersentatiove or sponsor and to the ECO who made the decision,  after this the ECO will have 28 days to appeal against the decision and if he decides not to appeal you will be issued with a entry clearence after 28days from the date of the decision but if he decides to appeal you will be back to square one,
TravelRe: Have You Been Refused Or Denied A Visa? by LondonCool(m): 12:29am On Dec 22, 2006
You do not need a Nigerian based Barrister to process the appeal, afterall he will not be there at the Asylum & Immigration Tribunal in London when the case comes for hearing. Anyone can process it, its very straightforward. By the way whats your success/failure rate?
TravelRe: Anyone Residing In London by LondonCool(m): 12:26am On Dec 22, 2006
The distance between your accommodation and school is not an issue. the issue is that your sponsor gives proof of his accommodation, also a thorough ECO may want to factor the cost of transportation into the total funds available provided by your sponsor. In other words, if your sponsor provides a very "fat" bank balance then the issue of distance will not arise, it may arise if the funds are marginal.
TravelRe: British Embassy: Account Information Survey by LondonCool(m): 12:21am On Dec 22, 2006
I totally disagree with your statistics and challenge your source. The BHC have a unit called RAU -Risk Assessment Unit, their job is to ascertain genuine documents submitted and they do contact Banks to verify statements and bank balances. If visa's were refused despite genuine documents being submitted then the reasons for refusal would have also been given too,  Sometimes, if they can not really ascertain the genuineness of financial information submitted thay can still refuse the visa then wait for you to proof the genuineness when you apply for an Appeal (if you are smart enouh to do so).
