haymekus:Really, that is the reliable person you want us to listen to? Someone whose opinion can change so easily. So if Tuchel says Messi is the best player before getting appointed by PSG, he'd go to PSG and say Neymar is the best player? What do you guys smoke? Really, I'm curious! -Lord |
Olamyyde:Is Messi a dribbler? Yes. A skillful player? Not by a long shot. Ronaldinho, CR7, R9, Pele, Zizzinho; those are skillful players. All skillful players are dribblers, but not all dribblers are skillful players. Why I have to educate you on basic football terminology is lost on me. -Lord |
haymekus:Really, that is the reliable person you want us to listen to? Someone whose opinion can change so easily. So if Tuchel says Messi is the best player before getting appointed by PSG, he'd go to PSG and say Neymar is the best player? What do you guys smoke? Really, I'm curious! -Lord |
ddippset:What exactly isn't black or white about CR7 struggling with knee injuries during the 2014 WC? Explain! Another long post without anything meaningful. Dude, Messi is not skillful. Only delusional Messi fangurls say Messi is skillful. He literally doesn't perform skills. He uses body feints to dribble only. Seriously, do you read what you type before clicking the "Submit" button. -Lord |
ddippset:Lame a$$ nigga! So you have to use each sentence as a paragraph to make your post appear longer? You didn't even make a valid point in all the trash you wrote. Was the ball that led to the penalty in the Spain match received in the penalty box? Was the De Gea shot played from the within the penalty box? Was the FK also played from the penalty spot? Did France Football apologize to Iniesta or not? It's a simple yes or no? Has Modric or Kroos entered the top 3 like Xavi and Iniesta regularly did during Messi's "peak"? Was Ronaldo struggling with knee injuries during the 2014 WC? Yes or no? You just ended up typing nothing noteworthy. Of course Ronaldo remains Ronaldo. A freak of nature. A 33 yr old almost hitting the fastest speed limit set by a 23 yr old peak Bolt. He is the GOAT! -Lord |
haymekus:You just got owned bro! You should wait until La Midget shows up against Croatia or Nigeria (his favorite opponent). Lopetegui on CR7 in 2018: "Cristiano Ronaldo is the player I want by my side always. Obviously, the best in the world is at Real Madrid." What were you saying? -Lord |
ddippset:Yea, only reason anyone called Messi sh*t was because you messi fangurls put it in everyone's face that Messi was the 8th wonder, called CR7 sh*t first, and made it seem like Messi didn't get any help whatsoever from Xavi and Iniesta (people he actually shared the Ballon D'Or top 3 with... France Football apologized to Iniesta for not giving him a Balon D'Or; still waiting for Modric to get such an apology). Or like CR7 wasn't doing anything. Now Modric and Kroos do same, and all you guys are mad. What's the issue with you guys really? And look at you trying to start a furore. Ronaldo had 3 consecutive bad world cup games. He was playing through an injury dumba$$. See how you guys create problems and unnecessary pressure for your maestro. God help you guys and Messi doesn't win this WC, you'd see the very definition of a flame bashing. You guys never learn. It's how you f*ckers were calling Ronaldo, Penaldo; and now confirm that Messi shouldn't take penalties anymore because he sucks at them. Who woulda thought scoring a penalty would require such difficult skill. Hopeless bunch! In 2007 when Kaka, CR7, LM10 were the top 3, Ronaldo fans had nothing awful to say about Kaka or Messi. 2008 when CR7, LM10, and Torres were the top 3, Ronaldo fans had nothing awful to say about Messi. 2009, LM10 pipped CR7 to the Ballon D'Or thanks to a masterclass from Xavi (MOTM), Iniesta, and Messi in the finals; and all of a sudden Messi fans started disrespecting Ronaldo who had been exquisite for 3+ years. I can vividly remember comments after Messi's sick header. By 2012, I don't think there was any Messi fan on the planet who even respected Ronaldo or what he was doing. Now the tables have turned completely, and you guys want us to play civil. Time's up schleprocks. CR7 started this dominance, look at his 2006 WC performance. Heck even his 2004 Euros performance was epic. All of a sudden 33-year old Ronaldo is unbelievable but 23-year old Ronaldo wasn't? I can bet none of you Messi fans saw this coming. After Spain dismantled Argentina in the friendlies, you guys believed they'd rape Portugal, because CR7 is only a poacher you said. This is 33 yr old Ronaldo hitting 40km/hr against Spain. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vnLkGJ1cyCc 23 yr old Usain Bolt average speed in the 2009 race that broke the World speed record was 37 km/hr (top speed was 44 km/hr). Early this year, you dumbf*cks were calling Ronaldo finished! So how does a slow, aging, declining Ronaldo go past the best average speed of peak Bolt? CR7 is the greatest of all time. There is no peak Cristiano Ronaldo. There's just Cristiano Ronaldo. You guys talk about 2009-2012 Messi, CR7 fans talk about a 2006-Present Cristiano Ronaldo. -Lord |
Krasid:I would have overlooked it, but his fans have been so disrespectful of CR7 that it was fun to taunt the living hell off them less than 24 hours after most of them acknowledged CR7's greatness. Now, here don quiet like graveyard. Teaching a valuable lesson that you don't have to disrespect or diminish the accomplishments of an all-time great just to make your favorite all-time great look better. There's still Hazard+Debryune and Neymar+Coutinho games to come, this WC is f**king lit. -Lord |
gentlegenius:That's a problem for those who are "fanatical" about a$$. BTW, look at any Caroline Danjuma photo; believe it or not she had what some would describe as a flat a$$ in the past. Now her bod is off the charts. -Lord |
Miremoses1:Nice. With Mayoral leaving to understandably seek more game time, he should fill in nicely as a backup. -Lord |
Krasid:There was good reason to be optimistic. When we qualified, a potential team setup was: Iheanacho up front (as a fluid/false 9), Onyekuru and Moses on the wings, Iwobi as a 10, Ndidi and Mikel holding the mid, Ebuehi-Leo-Ekong-Idowu at the back line. On a good day such a team would give any of the other teams something to worry about. Unfortunately, things turned out to be much different. -Lord |
Beautiful face by a mile. Most people can work on their body to make it better, you'd need plastic surgery to make a face better. -Lord |
Miremoses1:Ofc they weren't superb. They didn't have to be. IMHO, and sorry for being a pessimist, but Nigeria beating Iceland is a tall order. I don't see it happening, but I hope I'm wrong. -Lord |
Miremoses1:Good game from him. Kovacic shoulda done better. Nigeria just go do legbegbe for Russia. SMH! -Lord |
neezar:2014 wen Ronaldo play WC with injury. As if Messi fans let us hear word then. The good thing about CR7 winning this round 1 against Messi is that it's the WC. 3b people are watching, so all the barkabots and messifangirls masquerading as fans and pundits can have their idiocy exposed. Ronaldo is finished. Messi is a big game player. We are sha seeing the difference between a GOAT and a pretender. -Lord |
ddippset:Long story. Until 2016, Portugal had never won a tourney. So how do you want to put them in the same league as the heavyweights. The goal of every team is to win a competition not escort others or be top whatever. Portugal is not in the same league as Argentina both in pedigree and player strength. Oga beer parlor gossipers is meant to say that they are not up to scratch to win a competition. It's as simple as that. -Lord |
ddippset:You didn't get my point. It's like saying Hazard is in top 5 players on the planet. Does that put him in the same breath as CR7 and Messi. After the top 5 in Europe, you have the B-level teams. Portugal, Netherlands... belong to that group... Your top 6 statement makes Portugal appear better than they are. It's like saying Peru is a top 6 South American team. Does that put them in the mold of Brazil, Argentina, Uruguay, or Chile? Oga, with the exception of Bernado, Pepe, and Quaresma; those fellas you mentioned are beer parlor gossipers. Maybe you didn't see how Costa raped Fonte yesterday. How many Portugal players would walk into the Brazil, Germany, Spain, Argentina, France, Belgium team? -Lord |
ddippset:Bros ez na. Portugal na B-level team na. Germany, Italy, Spain, France, England are the top 5. Portugal is not in the same league as these teams. Those teams have history. Until 2016, Portugal hadn't won an International tourney in their history. That firm belief that you have what it takes to win since you've won it before is often understated. We see it all the time in the Champions League. It's why Uruguay can come into this WC thinking they can win it, while Portugal comes in hoping for a good run. Until recently, England always thought they had a chance at the WC, because they won it once. They haven't even won the Euros in their history and have a worse run in the Euros than Portugal, Russia, Netherlands, Czech, Belgium, and Denmark. It's that belief that's spurring Argentines to believe they can win it. Even if Messi wasn't in the team and they got to the WC, they'd be favorites. Did you know that German FA has already booked a hotel in the city that'd host the Semi Finals? Yet you want to place them in the same league as Portugal, because Portugal is in the top 6. -Lord |
FergieRaww:It's a funny statement. We can't compete, but we want to buy Neymar with a 350m bid. We were willing to pay 200m for Kane if he was available. We'd gladly give 200m to land Salah. Excuses, excuses, excuses. Just because you don't want to pay someone his due. Come to think of it, the genesis of this issue was that Perez promised CR7 an improved contract and went back at it, which led to CR7 making that statement after the CL final. Something everyone was annoyed about. That's the genesis, and the consensus was that: If you made a commitment, follow it through. Don't play games. No one put a gun to his head to make a commitment to a 31-32 yr old CR7. 1 yr later and with him still performing at his best, you want to bring the "we don't have the financial buoyancy" excuse. No sh*t sherlock! And now, he's making it seem like we are an unreasonable bunch, when he simply left the issue we were talking about and went on a different tangent. -Lord |
blizzers:CR7 and Messi played with peak Kaka, Rivaldo, Ronaldiinho, Robinho, Raul, Henry, Ibrahimovich, Figo, Raul. And we have their own A-list--Neymar, Hazard, Griezmann, Dembele, Mbappe, Iniesta, Isco, Xavi, Ribery, Schweinsteiger... The difference is that unlike then, CR7 and Messi have longevity. If El Fenemeno didn't have his injury, he'd have had at least 5 Ballon D'Ors. If CR7 and Messi were playing with any of the other greats, they'd all share the Ballon D'Ors. So it'll be a three-way or four-way street instead of the two-way street that it is now. CR7 and Messi play like gods every season (except a season when either has an injury which is rare). Now whoever wins the most prestigious trophies get the Ballon D'Or. It'd have been the same if El Fenemeno or Pele or Maradona was competing now. Football didn't go down, you couldn't have asked for a better rivalry than CR7 and Messi in modern times. Heck Pele and Maradona didn't play at the same time, yet see how tumultuous their rivalry is. CR7 and Messi have been very professional about theirs even though they take each others Ballon D'Or. Both are breaking records every match they play in. It's unreal. -Lord |
AtYourCervix:Dude, did you really read the posts in that episode? First off, the bloke categorically said CR7 doesn't deserve a new contract and that we should force him to honor his contract for 3 yrs and afterwards release him. Don't try to change the topic deftly. Every Madridista I know affirms that many of our star players are not paid as well as they could be. CR7 is asking for a raise, and it's CR7 we're talking about. When the news that the club was giving Bale a new improved contract here, did you see any comment of people saying why give an injury-prone player who's always out for half a season an improved contract. Even though he earns 65k/wk less than CR7 already? Did anyone object to Marcelo getting an improved contract? This isn't group think, it's common sense. You have the greatest player of all time playing at 33 like he is 23. This man has a net worth of $450m. It's not just about the money to him. You guys complaining about different circumstances for other clubs, what planet do you think we ply our trade in? We just bought an untested starlet for 45m. We are about to pay 80m for a GK (same amount we signed the GOAT btw). We would pay 250m+ to bring Neymar and would definitely give him same or high wages of 35m. When it comes to Neymar, Rodrygo, Alisson or anyone else, we can be like other clubs; but when it comes to our GOAT and any of our star players, some of us start becoming penny wise, pound foolish. That's hypocrisy. So I'll reiterate, it isn't about group think; it is about common sense. Hopefu.Landlord knew he was disrespectful that day, he even admitted to it, but wrapped it under this "it's a jerk move, but it's business." Now you're trying to turn things around. How about you read and understand what we're talking about before commenting? Just an advice. -Lord |
He was scratching his goatie beard. To signify that he is the Greatest Of All Time (G.O.A.T). -Lord |
Yonce:That pose was funny to me. Because if CR7 had done it, the self-righteous barkadogs would say he is arrogant and pompous. And he shouldn't tote his own horn. Miremoses1:Every great needs a bit of luck. Pele-Brazil, Maradonna-Argentina, Zidane-France, R9-Brazil... Then he gives Ronaldo a national team that had never won an international tournament until he played. Salah and Bale have the same poor luck. Amazing players, poor teams. Yonce:All goals scored by players playing in Madrid. #FootballCapital -Lord |
usbcable:The CR7 does NOT deserve a better contract crew! We waiting. That's how they'll allow PSG to carry CR7 and they'd rest him throughout all the games and prepare him for UCL games (using derbies derbies and against bottom teams to boost his stats, impression, and to get him match ready). He'd win every trophy in France and prolly win the UCL for them. How a Madrid fan after all CR7 has done for us can be so disrespectful beats me. -Lord |
Miremoses1:It's up to Perez. -Lord |
Miremoses1:It was SPECIAL! The game was amazing. This is entertainment in its purest form. Costa's bullying. Isco's disco. Nacho's screamer. G.O.A.T masterclass. It had everything. Portugal needs to do better at the back. They're usually more compact. It's Spain alright, but conceding 3 goals in a competitive game isn't their MO under Santos. Guedes was not up to scratch today. I hope he grows into the tournament and performs well. Quaresma almost had a spectacular goal of his own in the latter stages. -Lord |
Yonce:Abeg forget mata. I no even get strength to type again. No need. Today's performance is just... Got to savor this moment. If Perez like, make him continue dey play games. Spain tried to stick it to him with the tax nonsense. He made sure they regretted doing that. -Lord |
What a game of football. GOAT masterclass. Iniesta, Isco, Busquets, and Costa were a joy to watch. Spanish football is just special... -Lord |
But but but, he can't score freekicks anymore... There's a reason why he is the G.O.A.T. This is "finished" Ronaldo everybody! -Lord |
It didn't take too long did it. Spanish tax agency slams 18.8m fine and 2 years suspended prison sentence on Ronaldo. Expect more shots in the coming weeks and months. -Lord |
spongeisback:Not even replying him anymore. Their kind create more problems than they solve. -Lord |
dannio:Rubiales case na old story. If Spain doesn't get a good result today, the FA will resume with the Lope card. -Lord |
