Jarus: SUBS
EGWUEKE: Thrown in for injured Omeruo. Against a star-studded Spain is not the best occasion a rookie will want to be tested, but Egwueke still managed to have an average game. He felt jittery, probably star-struck, initially but later came into the game. 5/10

In my opinion, he should have 6/10 as he held his own and did quite well after his introduction.

Jarus:
GAMBO: That miss was unforgiveable. Honestly, I would have scored that goal. If in doubt ask the goal keepers at Ajah Harmony estate emirate stadium, where such goals are my trademark. 2/10

http://jarushub.com/2013/06/24/player-rating-nigeria-vs-spain/

The miss was not just unforgiveable, it was blasphemous...he should score 0.5/10...

worldtrush: Its really unfortunate dat Abati could slaughter his integrity because of money.one of the most articulate and highly reputable journalist b4 is now destined to sink with a cluless and fast sinking govt.I can't wait to see the aftermat of his misadventure.

Am not an Abati fan o...but I really wonder how we would all act if we were in his(Abati)shoes and I am sure 95% of us would act the same way.

When money comes into play, self contentedness takes over, "whats-in-it-for-me" attitude also takes over.

so we should not judge the things we see as we do not know the circumstance behind his betrayal of his fellow Nigerians.

Perhaps he has skeletons in his cupboard, perhaps he needed the money for "some project" we do not know.

All I know is that he did it for the love of something or the fear of something...that's for him to know only.

Politics / Re: Wamakko Governor Of Sokoto Suspended By PDP by lordimpaq(m): 8:23am On Jun 06, 2013
He must have breached some rule to be suspended..

that's is their business really....my only problem is which is more important the people or the party?

If an action that is people oriented is considered as anti party by the party, who is wrong or who is right.

I believe that is what most governors and public administrators face today and until we all become people oriented then there would not be any of these issues.

When the interest of the party supercedes the interest of the people, there would be problems.

MR Roundabout, you mean you can not show us anything apart from that village roundabout to reflect Akwa Ibom's largest budget in Nigeria?

You can not show me anything because there is nothing to show and I know this because I've been there several times. Even in your Uyo, once you get off the main road, it's nothing but village. You can even see the environment around the roundabout, na the same backward village..

Why should I even take a clown showing off with village roundabout in 2013 ?

smh...

Bros...give Uyo some credit, the place na fine place o...at least its also in Nigeria abi?

Afterall, there are also slums in Lagos, its better to be objective rather than getting at each others throat over which city is finer...

That is not something that can happen, people don't just forget their differences or change their attitudes.

Yes I know, its a gradual process, the first stage is to acknowledge it. Its a systemic thing but it can actually happen, maybe not in our lifetime but it will eventually happen.

maybe it would take something catastrophic to change our mindsets, I actually pray for something of that nature to happen.

CROWÉ: Vision 2020 will not happen for the simple reason that Nigeria has major problems that need to be addressed.

I believe the major problem is us as Nigerians failing to live as ONE.

The sooner we realize that we are all the same the better for us...that is why each individual in Nigeria are trying to accumulate more wealth than the other and this mentality has filtered down to marrow even in 5 year olds.
Eventually, it leads to selfishness, then it breeds greed which now materializes into corruption. If we learn to be selfless, all of us, Nigeria would be the best place ever.

Just tried from my MTN it says it doesn't exist.

In my opinion, a three digit emergency number would have been easy to remember just like in other countries.

better still, we could have still used the existing 199 and make it active and publicize it.

nice idea by the way, but its not working for now, maybe later, they would rectify the fault.

Actionleap: Guys, be realistic. It takes time between when this number is approved by legislation and agreement are reached with all the telcos to hook up. It's a long process. Part of it is the registration of your SIM card. Also, they're yet to employ the 3,000 workers. Patience is the word for now. I believe strongly that it will work.

this should have been done before publicizing it, it portrays a job half done...all necessary dependencies should have been cleared before saying the job is done. Nevertheless nice development, it should have been added among GEJ's quick wins but its coming a little late.

don't get me wrong some state governors have built higher capacity power plants but we should not use this place to be hassling each other claiming one party gov has done better than the other. I

we are all Nigerians aren't we?

I wonder why we act as if we are disunited...at least give unity a chance and acknowledge each other's achievements and failures fairly..
Nairaland / General / Re: Couple Sleep-Off While Driving On Eko Hotel Road In Victoria Island by lordimpaq(m): 4:19am On May 24, 2013
Its really amazing when people do not actually know what happened and the thread is filled with assumptions about the situation and no one even cares to find out the true story.

firstly, they are not actual couples, the male is a driver while the female is his boss as she is a zonal executive of a bank on Adetokunbo Ademola as depicted on the lady's lapel

secondly, the couple did not sleep off, they slumped and had to be resuscitated.

the story according to the drivers of that bank is that they were coming from the house of the friend of the female, what transpired in there we do not know.

Both are now awake but have not spoken a word as at last night, all indications point to them being drugged or some form of drugging...well we would see how it unfolds...

That liverpool sits at 7th place just 3 points away from us...all we have to do is lose and Liverpool win...Liverpool is not a middle table club...with all due respect.

3. Sagna - lacks complete depth of what a left full back does. Wenger needs to bring back Jenkins, He was much better for the first few games He played this season.

U r kidding me...Jenkinson for Sagna...that is utter blasphemy....also he is not a left full back, played a good game in my opinion. Santos is the one that played left full back..he should be the one not playing for Arsenal ever..

sad, they lost, when a team dominates too much, other teams would do all they can to beat them.

just as arsenal was back then, the teams evolve and they employ strategies just for some particular 'dominant' teams,

the same can be said of barcelona today, and a little bit of fortune/misfortune is also needed.

the would be equaliser looked clean though,

Ujchief you amaze me,what great job has Capello done with the Three Lions? For a coach that earn £12m a year, they struggled to qualify for the Euro despite being drawn in a weak group drawing at Wembly and you call that great job.
For information Harry Rednapp was declared not guilty yesterday being 8th of February same day Capello resigned.

England did not struggle to qualify for the Euros, they didn't lose any game throughout the qualification, they even qualified with a game to spare. so when u say they struggle, i'm a bit confused.

Also note that the same England beat the world champions spain. The team is solid built around Scott parker, thats the best thing that has happened to England right now,

In my opinion, I think the FA interfered in his team and he left. I can bet you if Harry rednapp took over, England would not even go past the first round.
