The same people that will tell you that "we are equal partners in this union" want you to pay all the bills. "He that comes to equity must come with his hands clean." The other thread a guy was asking how much should a man have in his bank account before considering marriage, and not even one lady contributing said anything about ladies too equally supporting the marriage cost, and these people want equality in marriage. It was as though they don't exist when planning marriage, only how to select the wedding gown they will wear, and they seemed very fine with it (not even one protested that it's a two-party affair and both parties should hit a certain financial level before getting married). Now this one is saying that you are a shameless man if you ask a woman to pay some bills. You can't shy away from things like this yet demand equal rights in a marriage or partnership and be taken serious. It doesn't work! |
Do these people actually want their demands met or the whole meeting was just a big jamboree? You should be negotiating hard with Gambari and not cutting cakes and singing merry songs. That's what is expected of you by the Niger Delta people. |
MJ just dey top this list every year like Top Tea |
This guy has branded controversy and is selling his way into millions. |
Every living Nigerian deserves such infrastructures as well. We are just as human as the Canadians, Germans, Americans, etc. Sadly, I doubt if most people in Africa's most populous nation will experience such in their lifetime. |
Nothing is too big a price to pay for one's freedom. He did what he had to do to live life like a decent human. I pray the price the Nigerian masses would pay to break free from mediocre leadership and a chain of suppressive governments wouldn't be all our lives. |
No be only "i have received thousands of phone calls," na millions! Keep lying Charly Papa you hear? The daughter even responded to that post, saying he was being hypocritical and "chasing clout." |
If she had done this photo shoot just 6 months ago, the headline would have read, 'Cardi B reacts as a Nigerian Lady Recreates "Invasion Of Privacy" Cover.' The extent to which someone's life can change, within the twinkle of an eye, by simply having the opportunity to be on a huge platform cannot be overstated. From a girl that had little-to-no-name in the highly competitive entertainment industry a few months ago, to now being instantly recognized on a first name basis, there are definitely few thrills bigger than that. |
Happy birthday to Flavour and his beautiful daughter. May all your dreams come true just like those of your fathers'. |
When i saw the first picture, i was like, "nice sketch!" Na when i see the final result i just marvel. Some people have developed their skills to respectable standards. |
Binarytimes:Chief, don't look back. You hear wetin i dey talk so? Don't look back! even if she be the amalgamation of Nadia Buari and Agbani Darego in terms of beauty, it doesn't matter. Any human being (not even female this time) that is lazy, to the extent of waking up late and not washing their own clothes when due, has not sorted out their life and priorities. She's not just lazy; she's dirty as well. You've been foolish so far until now. It's time to wear your big boy pants and do what's right by you. |

Very apt. Love should be managed 50-50; where 50% is allocated to the heart and emotions, but the other 50% is reserved for the head and logic. Apply too much "logic" to love, and you miss the magical, "butterfly in the belly" feeling it brings and it becomes more like a chore. On the other hand, if you love someone absolutely and unconditionally, then you give them the power to ruin your life with a few words or actions. If you love anyone completely and unconditionally, it means the person has complete power over you. Don't entrust that much power to any human; it can even corrupt an angel. |
These are equipments General Electric and Siemens make and sell for millions of naira per unit, although with better safety checks and superior materials. Nevertheless, this young mind should be encouraged because he has demonstrated knowledge of the workings of a transformer. Give him access to the right expertise, better working conditions and materials, and we may well have sound, locally-made, commercial-grade transformers in about a decade's time. |
Is it that Nigeria has always had this much snake eaters? Or the recession and resultant hunger in the land has turned everyone into a reptile eater?

How you go report this kind news and you no put the person picture? Abi na the candle be the John T Bobick? |
I truly hope he used personal funds to get him this gift (which is very much unlikely). We should eschew this culture of wasting public funds we've been entrusted with on things that don't benefit the people we claim to represent. All States and the Federal Government keep singing to everyone who cares to listen that the national earnings can't take care of our needs, hence we're borrowing from left, right and center. But here we are, engaging in waste of the little we have. |
Lol. To be honest, I will advise you to respectfully make the call instead, because that 15 naira you go spend fit save you from unwanted highlight. Except you don't care about a video clip of you and your wife appearing on Igbere TV news or, if the content she give make sense well well, Instablog9ja and Tunde Ednut go help you achieve overnight stardom. |
They both look good. Also good to see that their friendship is still blossoming after the show. |
There is something fundamentally wrong with the black man's relationship with money. PDFM - Public Display of Financial Muscle (be it actual wealth or make-believe, blacks love it). It gives us so much ego trip, sotay even Pastor sef no fit help but succumb to the yearnings of the melanin pigment. |
Always painful losing a loved one, particularly a parent. I pray you find the needed strength to pull through this loss. |

No one wants to grow old and die, particularly when you've got a lot going for you in life. Scientists wan cash out from the human fear of aging or dying. |
Zero excitement from her, lIttle-to-no chemistry from the couple. Seems like it's more of a marriage of convenience. I hope i'm wrong and there's actually more chemistry in their relationship than being displayed in this 45-second video. |
some50686:When i tell people that, on the average, single guys that are actively dating have more sex and enjoy their relationships better than married couples, they always think it's a lie. Dear OP, it's not that your wife is wicked; it's just impulses that even she doesn't fully grasp. You said it yourself that your married friends told you the same thing before you got married, proving to you that there is a pattern. As a married man, if your marriage with your wife is going hitch-free, especially in terms of sex and how organic it happens, and you both enjoy it and are satisfied, then you are the exception, not the rule. Most times, there's just something about being in a comfortable and secure arrangement that sexually turns women off. Even they do not understand why it happens. So sorry about your predicament, and if your account of events is true, it means you've done almost everything you ought to do. You can try the reporting-to-her-parents route, but if I were you, I wouldn't bother. Coercing her to give in to sex against her wish through her parents plea will make you hate the sex. I don't sugarcoat things! You're gainfully employed and a young man, the solution is pretty easy. |
See the way Ned touch her for head after the shot like, "well done my daughter, well done!" Husband and wife always seeking ways to create content for their teeming and ever-hungry social media fans. |
They're finally speaking up after weeks of silence. That should be the new world record for longest preparation for a letter/speech. So much for being the most prominent Igbo interest group. |
Blacks in the U.S. are having it the worst in the world in terms of coronavirus infection rate, while blacks in Africa are having it the best in terms of coronavirus infection rate... What a funny irony! Everyone living outside Africa is waiting for the day a coronavirus vaccine would be released to heave a sigh of relief; in contrast, you're almost viewed as a nutcase if you cover a mask fully on the streets of Nigeria. People just carry masks to get a pass into malls and offices. As soon as they walk through, it becomes jaw mask. Praying for our brethren-in-colour in the diaspora; this too shall pass! |
The game of football is bigger than anyone. Regardless of whether he goes or stays, the league won't stop being watched and followed by its committed fans. After all, despite Ronaldo and Messi giving their best years to Laliga and winning a sea of trophies, the English Premiership is still the most watched and followed football league in the world. Life goes on, Football goes on! |
Until i watched the video, i almost thought Emmanuella's mum is her only surviving parent. So na the papa be that dark handsome man standing there beside the mum naim na so so "my mama, my mama" naim full the video and writeup. I'm glad she also wanted getting her dad a car and still plans to, but chulren chulren chulren, make una talk true, wetin fathers do una wey na only mama mama everywhere. Na crime to be man again? ah ah! Abeg, my pikin dem, make una forgive me in advance for this unforgiveable sin wey no dey ever make fathers be their children favorite o

Which one be "Umahi left for Personal Reasons - Umahi" again now. Mods, correct the topic on the frontpage to what the actual topic is, being: "PDP: Umahi Left For Personal Reasons" That said, who else is tired of the whole Umahi-PDP-APC brouhaha?
