In this age when man struggles with sin on a daily basis, irrespective of how holy with try to keep ourselves,temptation is everywhere, sin is almost inevitable, you might lie and not know itt, u could find yourself exchanging insults with the next motorist or end up making money your idol through your work work attitude, u might find yourself singing along to a secular song u enjoyed beforree u were saved,Orr you might even be glorifyingg porn and Immoraliy when u put on your tv..still yet all this are sin which we struggle with everyday, would it be fair tto condemn such people to thesame eternal punishment with murderers,Adulterers,Homosexuals,blasphemers,Ritualists,witchees,Terrorists,Rapist and other extreme scenarios..!

The whole obituary and epitaph idea is nott haas bad as the writer paints it,it was just a class exercise not a critical part of GTBs recruitment criteria. It was supposed to take you into a moment of sober reflections on how you want to be remembered when you are no longer around..Remeber you won't be there to actually write your own obituary so what would people write about you wwhen you are gone. It was meant tto charge us on how we should live our lives.

I think giving in church should be based on personal choices because it is clearly stated in 2 Cor 9:7
7 You should each give, then, as you have decided, not with regret or out of a sense of duty; for God loves the one who gives gladly.
 
We need to be very careful when we give to God, because when we do it as a sense of duty or grudginly we are only fooling ourselves, we need to give wholeheartedlyand gladly for God to accept it so that we dont end up like Cain Gen 4:3-6

When we give to God it should be our best we cant decive God because he knows our hearts he knows all our thoughts

But the truth about tithe is that most of us only give it because we see it as a sense of duty, or our Pastor keeps quoting Mal 3:10, sometimes some people wish they dont have to pay it, while some have conflicting thoughts on other things they could have done with the money, or they keep mulling on what the church(pastorates) would use the money for, the moment you begin to have such thoughts then the purpose would have been defeated.

Lastly before you choose whether to pay tithe or not, consider what Jesus said in math23:23 (Have you obeyed the really important teachings)

How terrible for you, teachers of the Law and Pharisees! You hypocrites! You give to God one tenth even of the seasoning herbs, such as mint, dill, and cumin, but you neglect to obey the really important teachings of the Law, such as justice and mercy and honesty. These you should practice, without neglecting the others.

As for me i pay tithe only when my spirit leads, not every month,cause its quite unwise to pay and then start grumbling afterwards, anytime they have projects which are needed in the church i contribute when i can, i give alms to the poor, i i spend a substantial portion of my salary on relatives who have no Job.

Do that which only gives you peace, If you give to God's work, He would bless you, but give only because you want to because the Bible doesnt mandate it

I agree with the co-worker line..infact I had a very funny experience..was dating a very hot new entrant @ my office,was so crazy about her that sometimes I get carried away touching her and doing other stuff with her @ work..but the story went bad went I noticced that my boss just transfferd me to another unit and took her to work under him,first I didn't see anything wrong until I noticed her attitude towards me changed she wouldn't let me touch her again and was always buusy weekends,it took the intervention of a colleague that asked me why I wanted to terminate my employment @ d office..later she didn't even hide it she started following him home,sharp sharp I jst withdraw my interest.....!like say I get choice...!

@ Op.. 4months is short now...I waited for my fiance for 3yrs....when I first asked her out she didn't ggive me any response, then I lost contact with her due to NYSC,after seeing her again she was already seeing someone else,I felt bad but I kept on trying my luck,I got advice on nairaland,on what to do,was advised to stop callin and to start acting like I was no longer interested in her..guy I did this for just twwo weeks and believe me she called back to ask if she had done anything..I told her she didn't do anything wrong,I kept a distant from her and all of a sudden she was the one chasing me..I eventually got her on a date and told her my mind in plain terms...''I can't be just friends with u''told her to make her choice and she did..she said yes and we wld be walking down the aisle soon.
No gal wld want to tell you they are single,they wld always say that they have someone even when the guy might be just another toaster like you..you can applly my techniqu if you are sure that she has strong feelings for you too..and that you guys cannot really do without each others company..But then again if u find out she is in a very serious relationship,dontt kill yourselff over her u could search and find someonebetter.

But @Op don't u recive monthly emails on your statement of accounnt,or sms alert for transactions on your account..I once wworked with the bank but left for masters,belive you me,if you have so many customers tto attend to like they do,you wld not really be able to satisfy them all,but I don't think aany sane banker wld want to be rude to a customer (don't you know that you are the one paying their salary)..you claim you wwere once a banker,why didn't you jst apply your banking knowledge to address this issue instead of coming to post here...if you didn't withdraw the money am sure they won't accuse you(there was definetly a debit in your account)..dunno why I see this as just another flimsy attempt to defame the the bank..things do go wrong in banking transactions and u shld know that cause it is human like you that post..but evvryy transaction has a document and your bankers would willingly show them to you as prove when things like this come up..There is more to your story...!
