It is not that we lack Talents in Africa, what we lack is the ability to develop that talent to its full potential(no resources to aid development). If we have a player who is naturally gifted(lets assume he even gets selected), but has only played with average players in the local league all his life, do you think he would be able to rise to the occasion at the big stage overnight ??

What would you do if you must quit your job in Nigeria to leave for permanent residency in Canada? My salary is seven figures and my career prospects here in Nigeria are bright. I have less than 2 months to leave for Canada or I'll lose my permanent residency. Bro I would be honest with you, you may not be able to make or save that much in Canada on the short run, it would take a while for u to get to that level. But a lot of people leaving Nigeria for Canny are also earning well. The question is why are they leaving? The future economic outlook of Nigeria is very uncertain.. Bleak to say the least. Sit down and think about what Nigeria would be like in another 10years. Rising insecurity,inflation, massive exhange rate instability, trade deficits because of reduced demand for oil.Not to talk of infrastructure, Electricity. Etc.. Except something changes drastically.. Nigeria is not a very good option.. You would be very comfortable in Canada but u might not be so wealthy..

I don't understand this story. It does not make sense, the dispatch rider has limited access to internal information for him to be the primary suspect of such a crime na. Haba, who gave him the documents, who signed it ? who authorized the payment? To what accounts were the payments made ? Even if he was a party to the fraud, the dispatch cannot really be a big player in such a fraud Them just dey suffer the guy for no reason.

I am not sure the school dropped IELTS for her. Most applicants can be very lazy when reading requirements. For a lot of schools in Canada Nigeria is exempt from the English qualification requirement because we receive our Education in english. I am always shocked when i see people saying they were required to write IELTS to gain admission. If you probe further on the school site you would see Nigeria as one of the countries listed as exempt. But on the initial application page it is usually stated as a requirement for applicants.

I don't know why i don't see this as a good thing... I don't want to be governed by any Nigerian in Canada. I was governed by Nigerians in Nigeria, it was not a pleasant experience. Let everybody go and make money and live peaceful and comfortable life in Canada. Let the Oyinbo rule the country the way they have always done it.

If the information provided during the interview differs from the flight information booked by your brother, then that might have been the issue. There has been a trend of Nigerians on US tourist Visa booking flights to certain parts of the US close to the Canadian border going to cross as refugees. So immediately they see the flight details booked, they can infer the possible intent, especially if it is not anywhere close to address of their host(say your host is in Texas but you booked flight to New York). Also while they were boarding, the load you would carry if you are going for 2 weeks would be different from the kinda of load you would have if you want to relocate. A lot of things can easily give away your intentions. But this aside you would would have to go to the embassy to find out. Really sad the kids had to face such a painful experience.

Innoson Vs. Guarantee Trust Bank(GTB)

--In 2004, Innoson imported about 25 containers of motorcycle CKDs. After paying the legal duties, the Nigerian Customs illegally siezed the containers and sold off the items.

--Innoson approached the Court and was awarded 2.4 billion naira together with interest from the date to run till the money is paid.

--Nigerian Customs had an account with GTB credited with over 10billion naira. Innoson obtained a garnishee order nisi against the cash in the account. This Order simply means a directive to the bank to appear before the court to show why the money in that account belonging to the Nigerian Customs should not be credited to Innoson to clear the judgment debt.

--GTB could not show reasons and the Court made the order absolute- meaning the bank should pay the judgment sum to Innoson and not allow the Nigerian Customs to access the fund. The Customs did not appeal or protest the order.

--Instead of complying (a matter which doesn't affect them), GTB appealed against the judgment to the Court of Appeal. The court affirmed the decision of the lower Court. GTB appealed to the Supreme Court and failed again.

--While the appeals lingered on, the interest increased to over 6billion naira, putting the total sum acruable to Innoson at over 8.8billion naira. By this time, the Nigerian Customs has accessed the same funds the Court ordered to be paid to Innoson. That's how GTB incurred huge liability, a price it is now mandated to pay for crying more than the bereaved.

--At this point, GTB is the party technically owing Innoson as it was the party that denied Innoson access to the sum the Court awarded them. Given the final judgment from the Supreme Court, Innoson obtained an order from a Federal High Court in Awka to attach or confiscate GTB's properties they can lay hands on to offset the judgment debt.

--Innoson is simply demanding the money the Court once ordered GTB to release to them. The company doesn't care whether or not Customs has absconded with the money.

--Innoson has not taken over GTB's banking business. The company's interest is in the properties and the company will confiscate as many it can until it has satisfied the sum.

Guy, what I see here is that you married out of your social class. She probably settled for you due to her age. She accepted what was available which is you, but she is not proud of you. She is not willing to show you off. If you check her past relationships, She probably dated hotter guys that she loved more than you. See eehnn it so bad,I was at a social gathering abroad, and immediately one guy found out i was from Nigeria, he brought it up. It was so embarrassing. When i could not take the mockery anymore, i told them they were very foolish for falling for such scams. That since they all agree that we are all fraudsters then why do they keep sending money to people they have not seen. But it has really given us a bad name....!
