I know people that have had similar experiences, it is a very unfortunate situation, but she is not going to change, this is a burden you will have to bear till she dies. She is Schizophrenic, some of her normal attributes are there, but the mental sickness has compounded it.
Not sure how God decides who gets to experience such through out their lifetime.
Try to find a way to ensure she takes her drugs daily.
I can assure you everything you mentioned here was componded by the sickness.

Please don't toy with infertility, it will break you, it will cause you pain you have never felt, it will discount everything you have ever worked for, it will bring you shame and make you curse the day you were born, your love for your spouse will wane and you will wonder why you had to go through this pain. You will pray and pray, people will tell you it's because you haven't fasted, you will fast, they will say it is because you haven't done another thing.

I will recommend you forget societal standards and do what works for you.

If all the churches opened in Nigeria in the last 20 years were actually business (restaurants, factories, professional services et all), we would have more Jobs, and the economy will be stronger, and the hardship will not be so much.

Culture / Strange Gift by lorenzos1: 5:14am On Apr 22, 2023
Recently a friend and his wife visited me at home, late at night without pre- informing me of their visit.
They live about 30 mins drive from me and usually come visiting once in 4months after several invites.
When they came in the wife handled me a bag and said it was a gift from the husband. On opening it I saw 3 native caps.
Now I do not wear native and I have never seen the husband on native, so I told him I don't need it, since I have no native to go with it. He insisted that I should take it that I can wear to church sometime, I mentioned we do not wear caps in church, and that he should give it to any of his brothers or cousins. I asked why he didn't call to ask me about it first since he had never seen me on native.
He became adamant and refused to take or touch the gift. He mentioned that I should at least even check if it is my size then I became suspicious.
Because it was becoming an argument, I changed the topic and offered them something to drink which they declined then there was a huge silence and they said they were leaving.
When they got to the door, I asked if he would be taking the caps and he didn't say anything and left.

Now about 3 months before this his wife asked me to recommend her for my previous role in my department, so I told her how much I was earning and what she should bargain for, i aslo told her i got a good offer on getting promoted, and then she mentioned she doesn't understand why it is so hard for her husband to get a similar good Job.
Should I be worried. Or am I thinking too much ?

Edited: I did not wear the cap, I threw it away.

If you leave in a white man's world and you see how they are in charge of everything and the blacks only consume . Plus how they look down on you just because of your color regardless of your education, talents, wits and intellect. You won't know when you would start wishing you were not black. Racism is actually an ideology that the black man is an inferior race, sadly we consistently feed this ideology. I guess Mike was willing to go any length to be accepted by the supposed superior race.

Family / Re: Why Too Many Broken Marriage? Any Way Around It? by lorenzos1: 2:25pm On Feb 01, 2022
From my observations, a lot of marriages fail due to a couple of reasons.

1. Lies and false expectations; I have seen relationships where the guy and girl keep lying to each other on background, finances and always putting up false appearances and raising unrealistic expectations, when they finally marry reality sets in and both parties are unwilling to settle into the new lower reality.

2. Intolerance: Simply put people no longer want to endure any form of discomfort, people are very impatient and once things don't work out, they move on to the next.

3. Changes in the dating scene and Social media influence: Before the average lady is 25 she would have dated 3 to 4 guys, also the average 30 year old guy has dated several ladies, dating and breaking up with multiple partners does not prepare you for marriage, it prepares you for divorce, cause you are now used to leaving when it doesn't work. Social media doesn't help, a lot of media personalities have been divorced and they create an impression that it is not that bad. This creates a herd mentality "Everyone is doing it".

4. Lastly the world has lost its moral compass people just want to enjoy life, have multiple sexual partners and not be accountable to anyone, Religions that once gave us a strong moral guide is now viewed as false due to the many scandals involving Men of God. Women are now able to express and explore their own sexual desires, before it used to be frowned at and men ran the show. But now it goes both ways and men can't take it.

I actually thought about this after church on Sunday, these Indians worship strange gods but they are very successful immigrants same applies to the Chinese then I see we blacks and started to wonder if this really works. Collectively Nigeria should be a very successful nation if tithes alone guarantees prosperity. You have to work hard and smart to make your money, whether you pay or not.

You can give to honor God, but don't let anyone threathen you about it. Have you ever wondered why it's the most repeated message at every opportunity they get.

Celebrities / Re: Snoop Dogg Compares How Police Arrest White Murderers And Unarmed Black Men by lorenzos1: 3:23am On May 29, 2020
You see the truth about life is that, Humans generally love to discriminate against each other across any lines that can possibly exist ( Color, Social class, Religion, tribe, Education, Financial status, intelligence). I really don't know why we are wired like that. Unfortunately for the black man we tend to be on the receiving end across most of these discriminatory lines because we have never really proved ourselves to be superior in anyway.

Think about it for a second, all other races discriminate against the black man, the question is why? We are perceived as being crude, unintelligent, unproductive, Violent, poor, Criminal minded and other forms of social vices are attributed to us. While we can argue that these are inaccurate stereotypes, if you look at the black man generally we unfortunately check a lot of these boxes. Can we name any progressive or highly developed black nation that compares with Western Societies, just one. Sadly there's none in 2020.

In the case of the US, it would appear the Police officers are trained to use excessive force on all black suspects regardless of the levity of crime committed, possibly to kill them at any chance they get. They do not value the life of the black man at all and a lot of the white folks don't like them. And unfortunately the African Americans are not helping, a large percentage of them are uneducated, they are jobless, they go into crime at very early stages, joining gangs, doing drugs, killing each other and feeding more into the stereotypes just see how they have turned the protests into looting and burning down the city. A lot of black communities in the US are an eyesore I have been to Baltimore and Detroit my God, a lot of places in lagos are safer and better.

While I strongly believe we have the capacity to be better and outsmart every other race, the black man really needs to look inward and hone his potential, Most of those African Americans need to stop the blame game, they should get more Educated and be more informed, they should try to get into top Political positions, Ministries, Police force, Medicine, Industry, and places where they can influence decisions at the top. They should change these crude, violent criminal narratives. See how the Chinese within 30 years have grown to become a world leader and they now claim a strong place in the society. These are guys that used to be known for abject poverty. Now they too discriminate because they feel they are better.

Black Africa also needs to wake up, For how long will the bBack Man be identified with poverty and disease. We can be trained, there are so many successful Colored People.

While I strongly frown at racism and killing of black people unjustly, I don't think protests or making the Police fear you will solve it. There have been so many protests before this. The most viable solution will.be to change the narrative because I don't think racism will go away soon and humans are unfortunately wired to discriminate.(We always want to feel better than the other person we just have different ways of expressing it).

Bro, how do you explain the part of the bible where abraham told his senior servant to look for a wife for his son and come with her. Did his son leave Abraham's house?

Leave does not necessarily mean relocate.

I don't know what else leave means to you. But leave means leave okay. Abraham was very great, He was the father of many nations, I am not a bible scholar but that goes to show he was wealthy and probably had a lot of property. It's not advisable for any couple to live with their parents, you can discuss this with older and more experienced people around you for insights.

Travel / Re: 800k A Month: Should I Travel To Canada? by lorenzos1: 8:10pm On May 25, 2020
Guy, you are making a lot of money already in Nigeria right now. You can comfortably save 50% of your salary. You might not be able to save a lot here in Canada, but your standard of living and cost of living will be higher. So if you want more money Nigeria might be good but what is the value of this money with inflation catching up. Lemme give you my experience

The Big question is not about what you earn now, but the value of what you earn in a few years time. In 2015 USD was N160, i was planning to do an online MBA course which was about 45K USD then it was just 7.2m, i got the admission and deferred the program for a year. By 2016 exchange rate was now 360 and the program would now cost me 16.2m, i clearly could not put that kind of money on some MBA (not like i had it anyway). I started thinking of investing in property instead and i noticed I didn't have enough to get a good property (was earning 500k per month). In the end i decided to ask myself why did the exchange rate depreciate so badly within such a short period of time and what are the chances it will get better (Balance of trade, Import driven economy, over dependence on oil (monoproduct economy), extreme corruption, myopic leadership, lack of basic amenities to support economic growth) have this things changed since then, the answer is no, currently Naira is still depreciating as if we are the only ones affected by covid. As of 2017 IMF stated that if the Naira was actually flexed it's real value to the dollar was about N520 to a dollar, then i read about Venezuela a country very similar to ours their currency is now so bad, they can't afford a lot of necessities (drugs, food et all). May things never get that bad for Nigeria.

Our leaders are not visionary people, things will not get better unless there is a big change in our system of governance. Nigeria is currenly the poverty capital of the world. When you have so many poor people around then the rich will not be safe (so you migh want to consider security)

Basic Amenities : You won't fix the roads, and power is still a big issue.

I completed my Master's in Canada in December, I got a low paying clerk Job in January and had to stop due to Covid, but i still purchased a 2015 SUV without taking credit, but my wife has been working for over a year now, she was recently approved for a mortgage and her pay is not even fantastic. I have peace of mind, I see people doing what we call odd Jobs living well. In conclusion, just look at the pros and cons and make your choice Canada also has its ills, there is racism, your kids might turn to drugs, LGBT thingy, distance from family, bad weathe, high bills & taxes, little savings etc. But ask yourself How was Nigeria 10 years ago compared to now as it progressed. And like someone said You can't be a lizard in Nigeria and suddenly become a Crocodile in Canada. If you have what it takes to succeed you will succeed anywhere.
