Guy, you are making a lot of money already in Nigeria right now. You can comfortably save 50% of your salary. You might not be able to save a lot here in Canada, but your standard of living and cost of living will be higher. So if you want more money Nigeria might be good but what is the value of this money with inflation catching up. Lemme give you my experience

The Big question is not about what you earn now, but the value of what you earn in a few years time. In 2015 USD was N160, i was planning to do an online MBA course which was about 45K USD then it was just 7.2m, i got the admission and deferred the program for a year. By 2016 exchange rate was now 360 and the program would now cost me 16.2m, i clearly could not put that kind of money on some MBA (not like i had it anyway). I started thinking of investing in property instead and i noticed I didn't have enough to get a good property (was earning 500k per month). In the end i decided to ask myself why did the exchange rate depreciate so badly within such a short period of time and what are the chances it will get better (Balance of trade, Import driven economy, over dependence on oil (monoproduct economy), extreme corruption, myopic leadership, lack of basic amenities to support economic growth) have this things changed since then, the answer is no, currently Naira is still depreciating as if we are the only ones affected by covid. As of 2017 IMF stated that if the Naira was actually flexed it's real value to the dollar was about N520 to a dollar, then i read about Venezuela a country very similar to ours their currency is now so bad, they can't afford a lot of necessities (drugs,food et all). May things never get that bad for Nigeria.

Our leaders are not visionary people, things will not get better unless there is a big change in our system of governance. Nigeria is currenly the poverty capital of the world. When you have so many poor people around then the rich will not be safe (so you migh want to consider security)

Basic Amenities : You won't fix the roads, and power is still a big issue.

I completed my Master's in Canada in December, I got a low paying clerk Job in January and had to stop due to Covid, but i still purchased a 2015 SUV without taking credit, but my wife has been working for over a year now, she was recently approved for a mortgage and her pay is not even fantastic. I have peace of mind, I see people doing what we call odd Jobs living well. In conclusion, just look at the pros and cons and make your choice Canada also has its ills, there is racism, your kids might turn to drugs, LGBT thingy, distance from family, bad weathe, high bills & taxes, little savings etc. But ask yourself How was Nigeria 10 years ago compared to now as it progressed. And like someone said You can't be a lizard in Nigeria and suddenly become a Crocodile in Canada. If you have what it takes to succeed you will succeed anywhere.

Whatever you did to raise the 4m, continue with it, save more, raise about 8m apply for master's abroad if you have a first degree (Canada, Australia, UK, Ireland) get your work permit afterwards and get a good Job, u will get that money back within two years and can live a good life. Thank me later

To be honest with you, what kinda of Jobs will people with OND/HND get in Nigeria, only a handful of them get good paying Jobs, the discrimination is systemic , and most of them end up with low paying and contract Jobs. You clearly do not fall into her social class and you didnt even attend one of the best Polytechnics in Nigeria.

My advice forget love now, go and work on yourself, improve your skills,Education, Get a good Job, make money. Girls will come and you will be proud of yourself....

Truth is i don't like the show, but it would be silly to condemn it just because you don't like it. Am sure the first question would be what does the show teach you....? Well if you watch football or any other sport for that matter you might as well explain what you learnt from it. It is just entertainment. If you talk about the sexually explicit content of the show, well its is for 18 and above, if you watched Game of thrones, Spartacus et all... you can't complain about this. They just released the results of two courses for 200L first semester and I had F, (3 credit load each) it is very painful because I read my books.


Anyway I want to ask if it's still possible to graduate with a good 2.1

Guy, it might still be possible u still have about 5 semesters to go... But u would need to sacrifice. I was in a similar situation while in Uni a long time ago, I made the decision and I ended up with a 2.1 and that 2.1 took me out of poverty.
Firstly u need to calculate the minimum GP u have to make each semester to make the 2.1.
Then have a written plan.
U might need to change your social circle start walking with d First Class students and follow their ways.
Think of it as a chance to better your life.

It is because when u go to mechanic markets.. Oju irin, ladipo, oyingbo and the likes to get your car fixed. some miscreants would just appear out of no where and fix it on your car... and then start beghing you to pay...If you ask them to remove it they might scratch your car or leave marks on it in d process.
