I believe the ability to fix bugs not minding where the script came from proves how professional one is.

I'm not saying the organization is actually using a codecanyon script tho.

In my experience, working for script people never ends well. They buy scripts because they feel it's cheaper then they get developers to add features and modifications even fix bugs for very low budget because they feel they've bought the script their business needs for cheap so why pay well for modifications? However, such people lack the financial capabilities to run a successful business, hence before you know it they are out of business and having worked for them for cheap ends up being for nothing because at the end there is nothing to show for it.

Bro it happens un both sides. I've hired more than 10 persons here on NL and after initial payment or full payment excuses start to come up or even not attending to chats anymore.

I'm in serious mess because of these guys now. I've lost over 500k from just hiring people here.

Some will start so well and at the end just stop for no reason.

You in particular keep searching for script kiddies and you never have a reasonable budget, you can't be dirt cheap and expect to work with professionals.

Never work without a deposit and never deliver work until full payment. They all come with the excuse that they've been scammed by other developers, always tell them that their trust issues does not constitute an emergency for you.

And who would vouche for you as a reliable client? Some clients also have the tendency of wasting developers time. I have a recent incident that's still salty in my mouth. If you have trust issues then gather enough money and go for premium services where your deep pockets gaurantees success.

It could be that he has hit some financial troubles and not necessarily skid addled with your money. Sometimes the money you clients pay is not enough to sustain the development of your projects.

You always go for cheap which leads to you encountering the very desperate among us.

Having said that, no one has any right to promise something, take money and not deliver, it's still on the developer.

If the project is important, count your loss and just hire someone else. I'm available at the moment and can design Shopify websites, but not at that budget and definitely not within days on that budget.

In your cpanel, under file management, visit the public_html folder and delete everything there then proceed to upload your WordPress files.

This Chef hilda's vs Chef Dammy's brouhaha has really opened my eyes to how an average Nigeria thinks and operate as human. People, most especially Nigerians; the social media peeps are automatically wired to social media influencers and artistes. They cant think for themselves, they are like sheeps, gullible zombies who only likes what the influencers like, move in the direction they follow. They only appreciate and cheers on what the popular influencers and artiste like. So anything other than that, outside the validation of this 'higher humans', is condemnable and unworthy to them.

Hilda capitalised on this well. She played the game very nice. She paid big influencers and artiste for publicity before going into the cook-a-thon. They publicised and promote her to their gullible followers whose only existence in life is to reflect, to mirror their validations. So any other person outside that circle, is seen as opportunist, a fake, or as someone not worthy of been cheered or champion.

Just like the case of Chef dammy. Most of this gullible followers criticising and attacking her, see her as fake, as unworthy just because the 'higher humans'; the influencers and artiste which they worship, havent given her their validations. So the followers see nothing good in her quest for recognition. To hell with her ! They say.

Senseless human who cant think for themselves. Who cant make decisions for themselves unless they are been influenced. You see them with big phones, speak and type big grammar, but have the brain as small as a single grain of sand divided into four places...

Your budget is always dirt cheap and you treat everybody like they'll scam you off your peanuts and still expect to find so called "capable" hands! Take your jobs to fiverr and hire some Indians.

If they are premium themes, it will be hard to find someone to get a copy from unless you go for the nulled version and that is something I will discourage you from doing. So your only options are to use a reliable free alternative or build one from scratch, which is not hard to do if you know what you're doing.

If you've taken client work and over promised and under charged, that's on you and you should learn your lesson. If it's a personal project, grab a free and open source theme and customize or build one from scratch for the valuable learning experience.

You said above you don't have time, but in my experience, you could build a custom WordPress theme in a matter of a few days, depending on the number of pages by focusing on the templates you need for your website, since it's tailored to your website, there will be no need for bloat and needless features and functionalities.
