"I'm sorry mum"-i said, scratching my head and grinning at the same time.
"I'm going over to agnes' side to see if they are ready, now go and wait the others whole I go check up on agnes, and don't gi around watching retarded kids annoying soccer"- my mum said and flew on to her sister' my aunt agnes' side of the area.

I was about to leave anyway, I shrugged and flapped my little wings headed to our little hide out, it has been our hiding place for months before our human neighbors started thinking of getting rid of our kind, laboring to invent things to carry out their devious plans.
well they would have to look for someone else to get rid of, since we are moving and leaving them to their punny weapons, cuz we are one step ahead of them, we've always been. well at least we became immune to their wacky pesticides, we also learnt how to migrate and adapt and also dominate our new environment. this part of the world sucks. Man is always trying to out smart every other creature. destroying the free habitat they were given, even breaching to ecosystem of other creatures, destroying our God given space with their research and developments.
well it wont be long and I won't have to see all this nonsense anymore, before the day ends we will be on a flight headed to africa, ' The land of no development' , ' The land of backward ness' .

I remember when my uncle ben first came back from africa, the awesome story he told us about the place, everyone present held their jaws with their mouths agape-

"you mean they don't have electricity?"- my dad had asked with the most amazement.

"they have! it just barely comes on"- uncle replied him enthusiastically, scratching his beard.

he continued - "the place is very hot, you could survive for decades, and a lot of folks don't observe the ' golden hygiene rules ' " - uncle ben said with air quotes on ' the golden hygiene rules'

"plus africans don't resist us that much"- his african partner chipped in.

uncle ben had gone to africa a bachelor but returned with this hot black african dame that inspired my interest in our african types.

" the conditions in africa is favour able to our kind and for our survival also" uncle ben continued , looking each of us in the eye to see our response, which was positive.

"from the weather, lack of maintenance, careless ness, dirty environment, africa is the best place to live, plus with this western dudes trying to exterminate us , we gotta move and africa is our best bet." my uncle ended his speech with this and everyone bought his idea.

I was engrossed in my little self, watching the four little kids kicking the ball without any direction in mind. I thought to my little self
*if only I had legs as strong as those I would be out there too, playing the ball, but! with more accuracy and agility, instead of watching these lads annoy me with there childish play pattern*

come to think of it, why do every kid I see playing soccer always play as if its a free game. I hissed. '

Oh there they go again!' one of the kids was already crying and yelling

"the ball is mine, give me the ball"

the other three must have denied him a brief session with his ball
'i thought kids were meant to be the purest in hearts? or is it evolution that turned man this evil?'

but who cares? definitely not a creature like me! I looked around to see if there was any activity I could involve my little self in , but everywhere was bore stiff
"men this place sucks, I can't take this anymore!!!" I said out loud but no one noticed. as I raised my wings to leave that vicinity, I felt some ones cold hand on my cheek "ouch!"-- I cried in pain "MUM!"
my mum must have been looking for me and got really pissed when she saw me perching idly, she never really liked idle me, what a fierce woman.

"young man, what in hades name are you doing out here, when everyone else is busy preparing for the journey." that was my mum

"I just came out to get warm"-i replied
"Genius! with a very lame excuse!" my mum exclaimed, slapping my head this time.
