Phones › Re: Samsung Banned From Selling Some Phones In U.S. by loswhite(m): 10:04pm On Aug 12, 2013
Promhize: US ahhh us! us!
The other time samsung won a case to stop the sales of some older iphones, the government vetoed it, now they can now ban samsung. Well what is my headache about it, but US is such an hypocrite.
Well its good news that in some years to come china's economy will be larger than that of the US, that's if they don't accuse china of oppressing it citizens and invade in a bid that they are fighting for human right or arm opposition (rebel).
What amazes me is how they've turned rebels into such a legal group.

And its obvious (without sentiments) that samsung phones are the most innovative and best. And that is obvious in the number they have sold already. Apple should stop disturbing themselves, china's population alone more than quadruple US' own.

In two months alone s4 sales has hit over 20million, Apple and the US govt there's no stopping samsung. #samsungforlife.
it took a whole 2 months to sell 20 million s4 and u think it was impressive...smh 4 ignorance

The price of the bag Winfrey wntd to purchase was too exorbitant (equivalent to the price of a car). so the salesgirl ws only tryin to advise her as a client to go for a cheap affordable commodity because she nvr knew that Winfrey is a moneybag. so it is foolhardy for anyone to translate wht happened in zurich as racism.

Christianity Etc › Re: What Did Pope Francis Really Mean By "Who Am I To Judge Gay People"? by loswhite(m): 9:06pm On Jul 30, 2013
datChelseaBoy: I love this Pope so much because of the way he thinks, though I'm not a Catholic. He has this humility and wisdom that makes him stand out among other world leaders and former Popes. That was why he was able to attract a world record crowd of over three million in Brazil last Sunday. I support what he said. Though he clearly disapproves of homosexuality in its entirety, he believes that homosexuals who are truly repentant and remorseful should be allowed to seek the face of God in the Church. Even Jesus himself forgave an adultress and a condemned robber during his lifetime. The Church (and the society at large) should not reject or condemn such people instead it should welcome them with open arms and show them love and kindness. Afterall they were not the ones that chose to be gay, they were born into it.

Once again let me repeat, for the sake of those who find it difficult to understand even the simplest of things and those who like to make mountains out of anthills, the POPE DOES NOT SUPPORT GAY MARRIAGE OR HOMOSEXUALITY. ALL HE IS SAYING IS THAT THE SOCIETY SHOULD NOT REJECT THEM. HE IS SAYING THAT THEY SHOULD BE INTEGRATED INTO THE SOCIETY AND OFFERED HELP
are gays asking 4 help? Gay as a minority is forcing their way of life in the society and u are talking abt help and integrate ... U funny o

elujah1: I guess what you were taught applies mainly to Nigerian firms coz its so common in Nigeria, Leventis is another example, i remember going there as a little kid, but now it no more. I still believe its poor management, and when they get to the point where they become comfortable and feel on top, next comes the decline.
where else have u been to apart from Nigeria? How would u knw what is happening in other part, if u are not there.FyI it does not apply mainly to Nigeria. It happens all over d world.

Ayee Idris: I understand the awareness you are trying to create OP. However, it only made me remember all the news report CNN used to do on us, depicting the filthiest part of the country to show the world that we are a backward 3rd class nation. We have plenty wahala as a nation. Even the New Born babies know that, but development is more than a beautiful surrounding. Even the "great" USA have slums and ghettos. We have a lot of other important problems to tackle. Qatar didn't do this on their own. They had investors willing to do business in their country. We have investors running away, from Virgin Airlines to Dunlop and many others. So when we fix the underlying problems, investors will return and Nigeria will be beautiful once more, but it starts with us.
Misinformation galore.

Many of those screaming childnotbride could have saved their breath on 29 (4) and looked for the relevant section to attack if they as much as READ the legislation in question. But then since a vast majority of Nigerians DO NOT READ, coupled with the Senator Yerima beef & the bandwagon effect (me too i'm talking, or i'm among), its not hard to see why so much misdirected noise was made over that legislation.

Even on nairaland here, some people were still writing epistles and stating categorically that "Nigeria wanted to introduce a law allowing child marriage" when the issue at hand was actually the removal or retention of a certain clause in a section devoted entirely to citizenship and which in actual fact had to do with giving an edge or not to women who were under 18 but married.

It is also not surprising why our leaders have continued to do nonsense, get away with it and still get voted again by people. WE DON'T READ. We never bother to find out just how much cra..p or otherwise we are getting from the leaders.
I hope that from now, especially by 2015, Nigerians will for once actually use their active campaign mentality for something good rather than relying on sentiments as usual.
what do you consider under 18 but married as? Secondly, the fact stated, that senator yerima pushed 4 it . Giving that we know yerima got married to 13 yrs old, while he was a governor, how do u expect us to react? Had it been u read it properly ,you would have understood that the section in question carried ambiguities that needed clarification. Plus yerima stated sumtin concerning Islam. pls help me explain how it is just related to citizenship

I agree with Karen the whole idea behind BBA is to get Kids and Adultkids with little to do busy while their mates are actually making meaningful contributions to the world.

A friend used to make a whole lot of noice about this show. I thought it was a real deal until I decided to watch it and discovered that it sucked.
BBA is 4 kids and u agree with Karen and Karen was a former BBA star. Infact it was after she participated in BBA that ppl knew that there is sumbody called Karen.

Politics › Re: Marriageable Age Of Places Around The World by loswhite(m): 4:52pm On Jul 21, 2013
JaaizTech: Marriage is a cultural issue and also a personal issue, I sincerely believe that if not for the intent of antagonising one and other, this won't be generating so much controversy.
My intent is to first state the Islamic point view. Islam does not stipulate an age for a girl to get married, but what Islam says is that when a girl attains the age of puberty, the parents should hasten to Marry her to a suitable person. The age of puberty varies and hence no particular age is stipulated. in the past whether in European, African or Arabian culture marriage was contracted early, sometimes below 10. Did this practice in itself mean an end of the world for the girls, did it make them lesser human beings or immensely detrimental to their well-being is the question to be asked. If Hausa culture encourages early marriage I think we should all respect that, none of us love those girls being married out early more than their parents, so let us stop pretending we care that much.
Marriage is not a death sentence or an end of the road, for anyone. I am married with 2 kids and my wife is still schooling, so also are many people that I know. if truly, we care about the age of the girl, then why are our girls so sexually active at JSS level, I remember vividly, Sandra and Eniola, they were between 13 - 15, even though fully grown, when boys (university boys ) were already after them, they had no intentions of marrying them but to just have fun. These are things we should show disgust at, why not ask for a legislation against fornication, if truly we are sincere.
nigerian constitution is not Islamic constitution. @ legislation against fornication goes a long way to expose ur dumbness. I would have love to educate u on the subject but I doubt if u will be able to comprehend. U too far jor
Are all Nigerians the same ethnic groups with the same cultural values?

WTF is my business if some ragheads somewhere in the middle of the Sahara desert up North prefer child marriages? What has it got to do with me?

And what has people throwing twins in the forest got to do with me? - I'm Yoruba and we never threw twins in the forests - heck we worshipped them. I've got twins in my family and my ancestors were also twins. So that crap has nothing to do with me, and I could care less about those who practised it.

The earlier you lot understand that Africa doesn't have a homogeneous culture - the better for us all! undecided
is Nigerian constitution a regional constitution? Provided it is Nigerian constitution we all have the right to speak up as Nigerians and not as it is d north or south problem.
Politics › Re: Marriageable Age Of Places Around The World by loswhite(m): 4:17pm On Jul 21, 2013
ihimami: Mr. Shym-x, you have made a very important submissions here and I agree with you completely. One thing I have come to realize about most commentators from southern part of Nigeria, is that they feel they are more intelligent and have a superior view about social order just because of western influence. This is the same attitude the Western world is exhibiting by trying to foist their way of life on the world despite the negative effects to human civilization, or how do you explain the idea of man marrying another man. The family value system which we practice in Africa is slowly being eroded due to this western influence through main stream media houses and social media.
a senator that is 50 yrs old married to 13 yrs is worst than 2 consenting adult male that decide to get married. My point is Nigeria don't have any moral justification to jail a gay if their constitution permit marriage to underage .

Abagworo: Nigerians and indeed most Africans suffer from mental slavery. We need to emancipate ourselves. Many of us now view traditional religion as inferior and satanic. Christianity is not better than Islam, Buddhism, Shintoism, African religion or even atheism. We should understand that all are religions with our original religion being Sango, Amadioha, Olokun etc.
how is it related to d topic? Did anybody stop u from worshiping ur Sango? If u think that opposing, getting married to underage kids, makes us mental slaves, then I don't knw what to call u, cos u r worst Dan dumb
