Ikenna351:

First thing you need to do is to understand your lion, know your engine before you decide what to do on the condition you are facing.

That your Cub engine looks like TU (1.4 liter) doesn't necessarily mean its 1.4 litre. TU5JP, which is 1. 6 liter , looks like TU3JP (1.4 L), just like EW10J4 & EW7J4 Peugeot engines. Not many people or mechanics know about this. So you may end up buying parts or part of engine that may not fit well on the current engine in the lion or not match the Cub's injection system.

Also, we don't have only one TU3 (1.4 L) in Peugeot 206s. For example, we have TU3J4, TU3A, etc. Their timing belts differ. For example, there is a TU engine with 101 teeth timing belt, while there is another with 104 & 109 teeth. So you have to specifically know what TU engine is in your lion, before you decide what to do, the right parts for it or whatever you choose to do.

It's easy. Look up for your Cub's engine model in Peugeot database and take it from there. Or you choose whatever feels good to you.

Ikenna, Lion King.

God bless u bro ,got the engine in solid condition direct tokunbo it was actually an automatic TU3A 1.4 8valve. so the gearbox was detached and sold to me..still rocking it till now and travelled eith it. my only issue nw is my BSM.. doesnt send proper contact to fuel pump to send fuel..somtime whn i leav the car in slow after 5mins it off..or if my fuel is at rrserve it off and i have to rrstart always..

Politics / The US Is Changing The Face Of The $20,$10 And $5 Bill by lovetterrison(m): 8:43am On Apr 22, 2016
WASHINGTON — Treasury Secretary Jacob J. Lew on Wednesday announced the most sweeping and historically symbolic makeover of American currency in a century, proposing to replace the slaveholding Andrew Jackson on the $20 bill with Harriet Tubman, the former slave and abolitionist, and to add women and civil rights leaders to the $5 and $10 notes.

Mr. Lew may have reneged on a commitment he made last year to make a woman the face of the $10 bill, opting instead to keep Alexander Hamilton, to the delight of a fan base swollen with enthusiasm over a Broadway rap musical based on the life of the first Treasury secretary.

But the broader remaking of the nation’s paper currency, which President Obama welcomed on Wednesday, may well have captured a historical moment for a multicultural, multiethnic and multiracial nation moving contentiously through the early years of a new century.Tubman, an African-American and a Union spy during the Civil War, would bump Jackson — a white man known as much for his persecution of Native Americans as for his war heroics and advocacy for the common man — to the back of the $20, in some reduced image along with the White House. Tubman would be the first woman so honored on paper currency since Martha Washington’s portrait briefly graced the $1 silver certificate in the late 19th century.

While Hamilton would remain on the $10, and Abraham Lincoln on the $5, images of women would be added to the back of both — in keeping with Mr. Lew’s intent “to bring to life” the national monuments depicted there.

The picture of the Treasury building on the back of the $10 bill would be replaced with a depiction of a 1913 march in support of women’s right to vote that ended at the building, along with portraits of five suffrage leaders: Lucretia Mott, Sojourner Truth, Elizabeth Cady Stanton, Alice Paul and Susan B. Anthony, who in more recent years was on an unpopular $1 coin until minting ceased.

On the flip side of the $5 bill, the Lincoln Memorial would remain, but as the backdrop for the 1939 performance there of Marian Anderson, the African-American classical singer, after she was barred from singing at the segregated Constitution Hall nearby. Sharing space on the rear would be images of Eleanor Roosevelt, who arranged Anderson’s Lincoln Memorial performance, and the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., who in 1963 delivered his “I have a dream” speech from its steps.

The final redesigns will be unveiled in 2020, the centennial of the 19th Amendment establishing women’s suffrage, and will not go into wide circulation until later in the decade, starting with the new $10 note. The unexpectedly ambitious proposals reflect Mr. Lew’s tortuous attempt to expedite the process and win over critics who have lodged conflicting demands, pitting mainly women’s advocates against Hamiltonians newly empowered by the unlikely success of their hero’s story on Broadway.

Mr. Lew’s design proposals are the culmination of 10 months of often-heated public commentary that began almost immediately after he invited Americans last June to help him decide which woman from history to honor on the $10 bill. That feel-good initiative proved to be hardly as simple as he first imagined.

On Wednesday,Floyd Mayweatherattended a rally for Donald Trump in Youngstown, Ohio wearing a type of headscarf usually worn by Muslim women. Mayweather canvassed the crowd, fists out, daring anyone to take him on.“I’m just a little Muslim lady. Anybody wanna try to punch a Muslim?” asked Mayweather. When no response came, he tried again. “I said, ANYBODY WANNA TRY TO PUNCH A MUSLIM?! COME ON, TAKE A SHOT! MONEY’S READY!”Mayweather then wandered through the crowd at theWinner Aviationbuilding, looking people in the eye and asking softly, “You got a problem with a tiny, little Muslim lady?” A Trump supporter wearing a cowboy hat and wraparoundsunglasses approached Mayweather, then abruptly turned around after a five second stare down.Mayweather made his way to the exit forty-five minutes later as the crowd stared at him silently. He then ripped off his head scarf and yelled, “I thought so!!” as he stormed out the door with his twelve-person entourage.

Travel / Different Foreigners Confront Different Russians by lovetterrison(m): 9:18am On Mar 16, 2016
In today's Russia, unfortunately, therre are foreigners, and then there are foreigners. During my two years as a student from Sweden studying Russian at various universities across the country, I have come to respect immensely all students of color who have done the same.

When I arrived in St. Petersburg in the fall of 2004, race-related violence seemed to course through the minds and newspapers of the city. The majority of students in my department were from Asia or Africa, and of course it wasn't the European looking ones who feared walking all alone through the streets of the Venice of the North. My hair color often led locals to think, mistakenly, that I was Ukrainian. If I happened to open my mouth and they heard my accent, they'd think I was from one of the Baltic countries. Most of my friends in Petersburg didn't stand out, so the racism I read about in the papers wasn't real to me. Not until I moved to Omsk, in the Siberian heartland, did I come face to face with the unattractive underside of Russian patriotism.

The number of foreigners in Siberia was, and still is, very low. Omsk State Pedagogical University's Russian for foreigners department includes roughly 50 students; all but five are Chinese. I was not prepared to be the only one among my classmates with a foreign passport in my pocket who wasn't harassed daily by the authorities. Apparently, blonde hair is all the protection you need to keep the police off your back. While my friends and classmates suffered through the daily annoyance of being stopped by the authorities and forced to prove they had a right to be in Russia, I was subjected to the same treatment just once in my 18 months in Omsk -- and that was for being too drunk in public on a freezing February night. Funny as this may sound, the police took pity on me after gazing at my Swedish passport, laughed off my drunkenness and gave me a lift home.

Not only was it easier being white when it came to the police; I also found that making friends with ethnic Russian students was harder for non-white students than for me.

Unlike many other big cities, Omsk had never seen any serious violence directed against foreign students. That was until June of this year.

The small Chinese community in Omsk had lived peacefully in the city for some time. Then, not so long ago, on a quiet afternoon, a Chinese student was beaten up by a group of locals just outside my dormitory. When I saw my friend Lun with a black eye, the university was desperately trying to catch the perpetrators while keeping the incident under tight wraps. My first thought was to stick my long, journalistically nosy fingers into the cookie dough. Yet before I had any time to begin researching racism in Russia, Lun was patched up at the hospital and the university declared that the guilty parties would be impossible to track down since they had left no incriminating evidence at the scene of the crime. Besides, the attackers may very well have been fellow students.

I transferred to another university at the end of August, this time moving to Yekaterinburg. The unanticipated perk of studying Russian at a university in Russia is the variety of people you meet from different countries. While mingling in dormitory halls, it is easy to run into Turkish, Japanese, Indonesian and American students. It is also easy to figure out who has encountered his or her fair share of trouble on the street.

While assaults on foreigners are more frequent in Yekaterinburg than in Siberia, there is still a world of difference between life in the provinces and life in Moscow or Petersburg. A Turkish student who studied for two years in Petersburg said he moved to Yekaterinburg because the race-related violence in the northern capital was intolerable. In between telling me how he hated the police and loved the people, he also let me know that Ural-State University authorities here were very careful and hands on when dealing with such incidents. Frequently, the head of the Russian as a foreign language department has personally come to the rescue of students whom the police tried to take advantage of, even though their documents were in perfect order. Usually the police just want some cash before letting innocent students -- guilty only of being born on the wrong side of the Urals -- go free.

A hidden, ignorant racism permeates other spheres of life in Russia. There was the time I found a box of children's cereal that had a picture on the back portraying black people as evil, bloodthirsty natives; the picture was apparently part of a game for kids. When I tried to explain to the store manager that no game for kids should depict people with dark skin as evil, bloodthirsty natives, she coolly explained to me that "such people" lived in the jungle, where there were crocodiles and that all of the above was a perfectly suitable theme for a game on the back of a box of children's cereal. It took me three visits to the store until I finally could meet with the owner and persuade him to remove the boxes from the shelves. To portray such people -- who most Russian children will never actually encounter in real life -- as public enemy No. 1 is unacceptable, hateful and mindless. But this was but one small victory, one small achievement.

So why does all this touch me so deeply here, in this particular place, when similar problems exist all over the world -- in the former Soviet Union, in the United States, in Europe (including my own country of Sweden)? Why does it pain me to hear ignorant, thoughtless opinion bandied about as if it were fact? Why should it matter that much that I often spot "Russia for Russians!" spray-painted or etched into the sides of buildings? Maybe it's because Russia has neither the huge boatloads of immigrants nor the challenges that often come from accommodating those immigrants that other countries face. Maybe it's because most Russians have never spoken to the people they disparage nor visited the countries these newcomers come from. Maybe it's because I am a foreigner who came to this country not for a night or a week but for my life.

I know I am welcome here -- I'm greeted with a warm smile everywhere I go -- but I hate to think the welcome mat is only extended to people who look like me.

Josefina Lundblad is a poet and writer from Gothenburg, Sweden. She is a student in Yekaterinburg.

Politics / Buhari Spends Most Of His Time In Mosque, Instead Of On The Job – Fashola by lovetterrison(m): 4:52pm On Feb 25, 2016
The former Lagos state Governor, Babatunde Fashola on March 30, 2014, accused former President Goodluck Jonathan of spending more time inside the church than leading the country.

Fashola stated, “I know that we have employed somebody for the top job in this country but when we asked him about his qualifications and experience, he said he had no shoes. You must decide whether you want someone who spends most of his time in church or mosque, or the man who is ready to spend his time on the job.”

Juxtaposing Jonathan’s name with Buhari, you would discover that President Buhari is doing even more of what prompted the APC leaders to mount attacks against Jonathan. In other words, Buhari is spending more time in the Mosque abroad than he spends on his job in Nigeria.

Also, more Nigerians are reacting after images of Buhari praying in foreign country surfaced. One of the social critics, George Onmonya Daniel wrote:“Does Prayer Change A Country? No. Prayer does not change a country. Most of the people who have changed this world from time immemorial have been great scholars, even prophets were scholars or men with great common sense and special intelligence, if not no one would have listened to them.

“I am tired of seeing images of Nigerian politicians in Israel or Saudi Arabia looking all pious with feign countenance telling us they are praying for Nigeria. Pls let politicians pray for themselves and work for Nigeria. Most of leaders who are building the United States, China and even Britain, Germany and other rich countries we hear about and even visualize this places as heaven on earth are neither Christians or Muslims, they don’t even believe in God.
“If you like carry the Mosques in Saudi Arabia and the churches in Israel and Rome and bring them to Nigeria or pray inside them, even join fasting for one year, nothing will change here if our mentality does not change. Religion and religiosity does not change anything.

“If I am the president’s people, I would be sharing serious businesslike pictures instead of people of him in mosque. But in a country where people pay billions of tax payers money to babalawo, pastors and imams for prayer, what can I say?”

Politics / Senate Moves To Curb Dstv’s Sharp Practices, Summons Trade Minister, NBC, CPC Om by lovetterrison(m): 10:12am On Feb 25, 2016
Disturbed by the perceived spate of impunity surrounding the operations of Multi-choice Nigeria, a subsidiary of South African-based Multichoice Africa, owners of DSTV, the Senate wednesday mandated its Joint Committee on Information, Trade and Investment to commence the probe of the foreign firm.

The upper chamber also summoned the Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment; National Broadcasting Corporation (NBC) and Consumer Protection Council (CPC) to explain why the firm has the free hand to act with such a degree of non-challance.

The committees were also asked to unravel the rationale behind DSTV’s unchallenged dominance in the Nigerian satellite television market which they believed was the underlying factor behind its sharp and unhealthy practices in the country. The move was spurred by a motion by Senator Isa Misau (Bauchi Central)

To enable the Senate get to the root of the matter, it also directed the joint committee to organise a public hearing involving stakeholders and civil society organisations with a view to ensuring that the menace of Multi-choice is brought to an end.

Leading debate on the motion, Misau recalled how Multi-choice’s unchecked sharp practices had forced some Nigerians to engage it in legal battles in the last five years over a myriad of issues such as arbitrary increase in subscription charges; its refusal to adopt pay as you use model; unilaterally moving major games from low subscription bouquets (COMPACT) to high ones (PREMIUM), poor service delivery, among others.

He added that its menace had pitted it against CPC which he said frequently received a load of complaints from subscribers over alleged consumer rights’ violations and consumer abuse.

In his contribution, Deputy Senate President, Senator Ike Ekweremadu, regretted that whereas a number of companies had been exploiting Nigerians over the years, the CPC had failed in its responsibility to defend them.

“A lot of companies and service providers are exploiting Nigerians everyday including those in the power sector where we pay for electricity and we don’t have the energy; and in banks everyday, they are cutting their money from one service or the other and nothing happens and it is still going on,” he said.

After referring the investigation to the committees, Senate President, Bukola Saraki, emphasised the need to protect Nigerians’ interest from abuse by service providers.

He said: “We must pay our role to ensure that we protect Nigerians and ensure that the best global practices are what happen in our own country. So, I would want the committees as directed to look into the matter particularly to ensure that the CPC plays its role in ensuring that the rights of Nigerians are always protected.”
The committees have four weeks to report their findings.

Politics / MTN 'pays Nigeria To End Dispute' by lovetterrison(m): 2:44pm On Feb 24, 2016
Africa's mobile phone giant MTN says it has paid Nigeria $250m (£180m) to end a legal dispute over its failure to cut off unregistered users, AFP news agency reports.

"Pursuant to the ongoing engagement with the Nigerian Authorities, MTN Nigeria has today made a... good faith payment of 50 billion naira ($250m)," MTN said in a statement, it reports.

Nigeria's telecom regulator had initially fined the South African-owned firm $5.2bn, but the amount was later brought down to $3.9bn.

The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has not yet commented.

Foreign Affairs / Ohio Barber Confronts White Man Walking Around Black Neighborhoods Carrying Gun by lovetterrison(m): 9:44am On Feb 22, 2016
Deone Slater, owner and master barber at Kangaroo Kutz in Akron, had enough of the antics of Daniel Kovacevic, 25, who was walking around with a rifle strapped to his back.

An Akron, Ohio, barbershop owner had enough of one young white man who was walking around the neighborhood with a rifle on his back, so he confronted the 25-year-old outside his shop on Thursday and called the police, Cleveland.com reports.

Deone Slater, owner of Kangaroo Kutz, did not want Daniel Kovacevic in front of his shop that morning. "He was a threat to my community," Slater told the news site. "If I can prevent him from shooting up the city, I would. I won't condone it. Somebody's got to stand up."

Police arrived shortly after and tried to calm Slater, who was reportedly shouting at Kovacevic.

"[Slater] was obviously emotional and concerned about his safety and the safety of everyone in the community," Police Sgt. Doug Sandor said.

"I told [Kovacevic] to take his guns off," Slater said. "I told him let me have five or 10 minutes with him without his weapons."

Slater also called officers out for trying to calm him instead of engaging with Kovacevic. "[The police] asked me why do I have a problem," Slater said. "He's a threat to me and my people. He's a threat to me.

"[The police] were more concerned about me than him, as if I were the threat," he added. "It it were me with a gun, they would have shut the whole block down."

Officers are claiming that they have their hands tied—even as Akron police spokesman Lt. Rick Edwards acknowledged that the man has been spotted in predominantly black communities—because of Ohio's gun laws, which allow open carry.

Some, however, aren't too thrilled with the police response and suggest that race may be a factor in the toned-down response, especially considering the deaths of Tamir Rice and John Crawford, both of whom were shot in Ohio by police while carrying toy weapons.

"It's different if it's a black person. People say it isn't, but it is," one person, 26-year-old Traneece Johnson, told the site, referencing Tamir. "[Kovacevic] was approached, and they gave him a chance to speak and say he was expressing his right. The little boy didn't get that chance."

Politics / Nigeria Blasts: FB Turns On Safety Check by lovetterrison(m): 5:26pm On Nov 18, 2015
Facebook is following through on a pledge to deploy its Safety Check feature more often, activating the tool for the second time in less than a week following a bomb blast in Nigeria.
"We've activated Safety Check again after the bombing in Nigeria," CEO Mark Zuckerberg said in a Facebook post. "A loss of human life anywhere is a tragedy, and we're committed to doing our part to help people in more of these situations."

At least 31 people were killed and 72 others injured in a bomb blast that ripped through the northeastern Nigerian city of Yola on Tuesday, according to Aliyu Maikano, a local Red Cross official.
Facebook (FB, Tech30) faced criticism after it activated Safety Check following the Paris attacks last week. While 4 million people marked themselves as "safe" with the tool, some users asked why the people-finder feature wasn't used following other violent incidents, including a recent bombing in Beruit.
Facebook's policy up until the Paris attacks was to activate the feature only for natural disasters. But Zuckerberg said that in the future, it will also be used for human disasters. Safety Check asks users if they are safe, and allows friends to view the responses.

"We're now working quickly to develop criteria for the new policy and determine when and how this service can be most useful," Zuckerberg said Tuesday.
It's unclear how often Facebook will activate the feature. But the response to the Nigeria bombing suggests it could be used much more widely.
Nigeria has suffered a wave of terror-related violence in recent years. The country suffered 7,512 deaths from terrorism in 2014, a 300% increase from the previous year.
More than 32,000 people around the world were killed by terrorism in 2014, according to the Global Terrorism Index report.
