Religion / Has Anyone Ever Seen God? by lovingJehovah: 7:09pm On Oct 28, 2017
No human has literally seen God. (Exodus 33:20; John 1:18; 1 John 4:12) The Bible says that “God is a Spirit,” a form of life that is invisible to the human eye.—John 4:24; 1 Timothy 1:17.

God can be seen directly by angels, though, because they are spirit creatures. (Matthew 18:10) Moreover, some humans who die will be raised to life in heaven with a spirit body and will then be able to see God.—Philippians 3:20, 21; 1 John 3:2.

How to “see” God now

The Bible often uses the idea of seeing figuratively, to represent enlightenment. (Isaiah 6:10; Jeremiah 5:21; John 9:39-41) In this sense, a person can see God now with “the eyes of [his] heart” by having faith so as to know Him and appreciate His qualities. (Ephesians 1:18) The Bible describes steps to build this kind of faith.

Learn about God’s qualities, such as his love and generosity as well as his wisdom and power, through his creation. (Romans 1:20) After being reminded of God’s creative works, the faithful man Job felt as though God were right before his eyes.—Job 42:5.
Get to know God by studying the Bible. “If you search for [God], he will let himself be found by you,” the Bible assures us.—1 Chronicles 28:9; Psalm 119:2; John 17:3.
Learn about God through the life of Jesus. Since Jesus perfectly reflected the personality of his Father, Jehovah God, he could rightly say: “Whoever has seen me has seen the Father also.”—John 14:9.
Live in a way that pleases God, and see how he acts in your behalf. Jesus said: “Happy are the pure in heart, since they will see God.” As noted earlier, some who please God will be resurrected to heaven and will thus “see God” there.—Matthew 5:8; Psalm 11:7.
Did not Moses, Abraham, and others actually see God?

In accounts where it might seem that the Bible says that humans literally saw God, the context shows that God was represented by an angel or appeared by means of a vision.

Angels.
In ancient times, God sent angels as his representatives to appear to humans and to speak in his name. (Psalm 103:20) For example, God once spoke to Moses from a burning bush, and the Bible says that “Moses hid his face, because he was afraid to look at the true God.” (Exodus 3:4, 6) Moses did not literally see God, though, for the context shows that he actually saw “Jehovah’s angel.”—Exodus 3:2.

Similarly, when the Bible says that God “spoke to Moses face-to-face,” it means that God conversed with Moses intimately. (Exodus 4:10, 11; 33:11) Moses did not actually see God’s face, for the information he received from God “was transmitted through angels.” (Galatians 3:19; Acts 7:53) Still, Moses’ faith in God was so strong that the Bible described him as “seeing the One who is invisible.”—Hebrews 11:27.

In the same way that he spoke to Moses, God communicated with Abraham through angels. Granted, a casual reading of the Bible might give the impression that Abraham literally saw God. (Genesis 18:1, 33) However, the context shows that the “three men” who came to Abraham were actually angels sent by God. Abraham recognized them as God’s representatives and addressed them as if he were speaking directly to Jehovah.—Genesis 18:2, 3, 22, 32; 19:1.

Visions.
God has also appeared to humans through visions, or scenes presented to a person’s mind. For instance, when the Bible says that Moses and other Israelites “saw the God of Israel,” they really “saw a vision of the true God.” (Exodus 24:9-11) Likewise, the Bible sometimes says that prophets “saw Jehovah.” (Isaiah 6:1; Daniel 7:9; Amos 9:1) In each case, the context shows that they were given a vision of God rather than a direct view of him.—Isaiah 1:1; Daniel 7:2; Amos 1:1.
Religion / Re: Who Is Christ? Is Jesus God by lovingJehovah: 6:16pm On Oct 28, 2017
I have read many of those dissections and they are ludicrous. As a matter of fact, one of my neighbor runs one of those websites and blasphemous YouTube channels.
The Bible calls Jesus a mighty God in the OT but then Jesus himself tells us about a God greater than him that he calls father and God and the one called him his son. Jesus prayed to him and also states that there is something that that father knows that he doesn't know. The Bible tells us that Jesus sits at the right hand of God and it didn't say that God sits at God's right hand. The Bible acknowledges that there are many gods but to us, there is only one God and one Lord who is Jesus. The statement is very clear. In a relationship, there are many suitors, but to a bride, there is one choice.
Jesus is the way to God and we must know him to get to Jehovah God, John 17:3 and knowing these two mean our salvation.

Asking if the KJV is spurious? Well some verses are! In case you did not know, KJV made some heretic addition to the Bible, You can type "1 John 5:7 controversy" on google and do some thorough research.

I am happy that you brought the book of Revelation up. But before you took that dive to verse 8; 11; 17-18 I was wondering if you read the first verse at all. Revelation 1:1 "A revelation by Jesus Christ, which God gave him, to show his slaves the things that must shortly take place...".
That can at least give you an idea of where the message written down in the following verses that you quoted came from.
Now, rolling back to your question, "who was speaking?
Let me take you back again to the same verse. Revelation 1:1 "...And he sent his angel and presented it in signs through him to his slave John.
So apostle John was writing down the vision given to him by an angel. The angel was sent by Jesus Christ and the message was from Jehovah God.
Does it appear the same in your Bible? Or was it part of the verses that your link dissected?

on your question about Micah 5:2?
I will advise you to do some research using a range of other Bible translations.
Micah 5:2 'And you, O Bethʹle·hem Ephʹra·thah,
The one too little to be among the thousands of Judah,
From you will come out for me the one to be ruler in Israel,
Whose origin is from ancient times, from the days of long ago'.
Micah spoke about time it might be beyond human longevity but there was a time frame "from long ago". Jehovah is the only one without a beginning in the Bible. He is the creator and every other are creations even Jesus himself. Colossians 1:15 'The Son is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation'.
1 Timothy 1:17 Now to the King of eternity, incorruptible, invisible, the only God (in corroboration to 1 Timothy 2:5), be honor and glory forever and ever. Amen
Jude 25 to the only God (JEHOVAH) our Savior through Jesus Christ our Lord, be glory, majesty, might, and authority for all past eternity and now and into all eternity. Amen
Can you see the adjectival phrase used to qualify Jehovah God (ALL PAST ETERNITY)? Other translations might say 'before all time'. Notice the difference in the adjectival phrases between Micah 5:2 and Jude 25.
Do your research and you will see the effervescence of the coherence and lucidity in the Bible's message.
If it matters? Yes! Exodus 20:5 "...for I, Jehovah your God, am a God who requires exclusive devotion..."

Do excuse me, if my assumption of defending the trinity hurts. That verse is a regular quote from Trinitarians when they defend their beliefs

DoctorAlien:

First off, you don't assume that I am arguing in favour of the doctrine of Trinity.

You call KJV spurious and contaminated? So your NWT is actually accurate and clean? LOL. Follow this link to see a thorough dissection of your clean NWT(note that I don't endorse their trinitarian teachings. I just provided the link so you can see how "uncontaminated" your NWT is): https://answersingenesis.org/jesus-christ/jesus-is-god/is-jesus-the-creator-god/

That Jesus was anointed by God, His Father, does not take away anything from His Deity. If Jesus is not God, why did Micah 5:2 state that Jesus's "goings forth have been from everlasting"? Who has existed from everlasting if not God?

Who was speaking in Rev. 1:11? I THINK THAT YOU MEANT TO CITE VERSE 8
Who was speaking in Rev. 21:6?
Who was speaking in Rev. 1:17-18?

You should be careful with this your doctrine.
If Jesus is coming down with ----1 voice of an archangel and 2 ----- trumpet of God. Why do choose to call him an archangel only and not trumpet of God as well?

Jesus said I and my Father are one. Are you comparing God with an angel then?

Jesus is GOD.
John 1:1-4 KJV
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. [2] The same was in the beginning with God. [3] All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. [4] In him was life; and the life was the light of men.

Revelation 1:8,11 KJV
I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty. [11] Saying, I am Alpha and Omega, the first and the last: and, What thou seest, write in a book, and send it unto the seven .....

From the above, Jesus was called ,Word of God, the Alpha and Omega and the Almighty.

As per:
1 Corinthians 8:6 KJV
But to us there is but one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we in him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, by whom are all things, and we by him.

The above simply means that God is the Father of Jesus and Jesus created all things with his Father. It means God is greater than Jesus Christ our Lord. That does not mean Jesus is not God Almighty. The word lord was used in the old testament as God.

YOUR STATEMENT ABOVE IS THE MYSTERY THAT BELTS HERESY. LET ME TRY TO ARRANGE YOUR SENTENCE, "GOD IS GREATER THAN JESUS CHRIST + JESUS IS THE SAME ALSO GOD ALMIGHTY". HAVE YOU TRIED TO READ YOUR STATEMENT? DO YOU KNOW THE DEFINITION OF THE WORD "ALMIGHTY? HE IS ALMIGHTY YET THERE IS SOMEONE GREATER THAN HIM. THAT IS ALL I CAN SAY AS A RESPONSE TO YOU. YOU ARE CONTRADICTING YOUR OWN SELF. TRY TO GATHER YOUR THOUGHTS FOR A MOMENT.

No one can see God and live. How come Moses saw God and also could not see God. The answer is , he saw Jesus God the Son, but only saw the back of God the Father. It was not a mistake.

Exodus 24:10-12 KJV
And they saw the God of Israel: and there was under his feet as it were a paved work of a sapphire stone, and as it were the body of heaven in his clearness. [11] And upon the nobles of the children of Israel he laid not his hand: also they saw God, and did eat and drink. [12] And the Lord said unto Moses, Come up to me into the mount, and be there: and I will give thee tables of stone, and a law, and commandments which I have written; that thou mayest teach them.

Exodus 33:11,21,23 KJV
And the Lord spake unto Moses face to face, as a man speaketh unto his friend. And he turned again into the camp: but his servant Joshua, the son of Nun, a young man, departed not out of the tabernacle. ..................
[21] And the Lord said, Behold, there is a place by me, and thou shalt stand upon a rock: [23] And I will take away mine hand, and thou shalt see my back parts: but my face shall not be seen.

God and Lord were used synonymously in the old testament.

Jesus Christ is not an angel. He created angel Gabriel and other angels .

I AM DELIGHTED THAT YOU ARE SPENDING ENOUGH TIME TO DO YOUR OWN RESEARCH
Emusan:

Christ demonstrated everything we need to know about kingdom of God, which means if will die we'll resurrect not the same FLESH and blood but with that of uncorruptible body. This is what the Bible testified about Christ resurrection.
I CORROBORATE THAT

This is what we called lack of scriptural understanding, in fact using this verse doesn't favour your argument at all because if you can read downward you can see what the Bible says of how the believers will have the spiritual body of Christ.

in verse 49 it says "Just as WE are now like the earthly man (Adam), WE will someday be like the heavenly man (Christ)"

Please is it a life given spirit like Christ that everybody will turn to afterward?

WELL THE BIBLE TALKS OF TWO SETS OF PEOPLE THAT ARE PROMISED RESIDENCES IN MATTHEW 5:5;10. AS YOU CLEARLY KNOW IN REVELATION 14, 144,000 WILL BE KINGS AND PRIESTS WITH JESUS. AN THERE WILL BE ANOTHER EARTHLY GROUP AS JESUS PROMISED WHO WILL LIVE FOREVER ON THE EARTH. REVELATION 21:1-4 ALSO HIGHLIGHTED IT AND I WILL HOPE THAT THIS WILL BRING YOU SOME RELIEF.

Let me see your next twist
THE TWIST IS EXACTLY THE WORD OF GOD AS YOU READ THEM FROM YOUR OWN BIBLE. EVERYTHING I HAVE DONE SO FAR IS CITE SCRIPTURES THAT YOUR BIBLE AGREES WITH. IF YOU CALL THAT "A TWIST" THEN YOU ARE REJECTING THE VERACITY AND AUTHENTICITY OF THE BIBLE. YOU MAY GO THROUGH MY RESPONSES AGAIN BEFORE YOU SAY TWIST. AND ONE MORE THING, USING THE WORD CHERRYPICKING OF THE SCRIPTURES IS A NEGATION TO THE VERSES QUOTED. IT IS, BECAUSE INSTEAD OF DWELLING ON THE MESSAGE YOU NEGATE THOSE VERSES BY CLASSIFYING THEM AS CHERRYPICKED VERSES ( which in turn trivializes the content of the message). IT IS THE WORD OF GOD AND CANNOT BE CHERRYPICKED BUT STUDIED AND CHERISHED.

The way you people are Cherry picking the scripture baffles a lot.

HOW HAS THE WORD OF GOD SUDDENLY BECOME CHERRYPICKING FOR YOU? ARE YOU SCARED TO READ SOME CERTAIN VERSES IN THE BIBLE? MENTIONING VERSE 46 BELOW IS ALSO CHERRYPICKING, ISN'T IT?

Verse 46 says "What comes first is the NATURAL BODY, then the SPIRITUAL BODY comes later."
So every Biblical students of truth know that Christ body was spiritual body not FLESH and blood if not blood supposed to be drifting from the printing of nails in His hands and legs, and He supposed to feel pains after resurrection since He felt pains before He died.
I AM GLAD THAT YOU KNOW THIS BECAUSE THAT IS WHAT THE BIBLE TEACHES.

cheesy cheesy So the 144,000 people who will went to heaven according to your organization won't see God or they're life given spirit like Christ

SAYING "ACCORDING TO MY ORGANISATION" IS SYNONYMOUS TO THROWING DIRT ON THE WORD OF GOD. YOU MAY READ REVELATION 14;1-4 IN YOUR OWN BIBLE SO THAT YOU DO NOT MAKE SUCH BLASPHEMOUS STATEMENT AGAIN.
ASKING IF THEY ARE LIFE-GIVING SPIRIT LIKE CHRIST IS IDENTICAL TO ASKING IF YOU WOULD SPREAD SIN TO YOUR OWN CHILDREN (Romans 5:12). THE QUESTION OF WHETHER THE 144,000 WILL SEE GOD, WELL MATTHEW 18:10 See that you do not despise one of these little ones, for I tell you that their angels in heaven always look upon the face of my Father who is in heaven.

HERE WE HAVE CLEAR KNOWLEDGE THAT ANGELS SEE GOD. NEVERTHELESS 1 JOHN 3:2 Beloved ones, we are now children of God, but it has not yet been made manifest what we will be. We do know that when he is made manifest we will be like him, because we will see him just as he is.
HERE INDICATES THAT THE 144.000 WILL ALSO BE ABLE TO SEE GOD SINCE THEY WILL BE LIKE JESUS WHO SEES GOD AND SITS AT HIS RIGHT HAND, AND REVELATION 14:3 SAYS THAT THEY STAND BEFORE THE THRONE. THIS MEANS THAT THEY WILL SEE GOD

1 Corinthians 15 you're being tried to twist since explains better about earthly body and spiritual body, do you know the different between them?

I REFUSE TO BE'TRIED TO TWIST' LOL. I DO NOT WHAT ARE YOU TRYING TO SAY THERE. ANYWAY, THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE EARTHLY AND SPIRITUAL IS CLEARLY STATED IN THE SAME VERSES OF 1 CORINTHIANS 15 THAT WE HAVE READ ALREADY.

Bible can't lie, God is a spirit but does having spiritual body make one not to be a spirit?

I AM GLAD THAT YOU ASKED THAT. IF I MAY ASK, DO YOU HAVE THE SPIRITUAL BODY NOW? ARE YOU BORNE OF CHRIST? AS YOU ANSWER, IT WILL BE KIND ENOUGH FOR YOU TO READ THAT VERSE 46 OF 1 CORINTHIANS CHAPTER 15 THAT YOU CITED AGAIN. THAT VERSE CLEARLY SAYS THAT THE PHYSICAL BODY CAME FIRST BEFORE THE SPIRITUAL ONE. WITH THAT STATEMENT WILL YOU SAY THAT JESUS WAS IN A PHYSICAL BODY IN HEAVEN PRIOR TO HIS EXISTENCE ON EARTH? DO NOT FORGET THAT THE NATURAL CAME BEFORE THE SPIRITUAL.

Why would the same Apostle Paul who wrote 1 Corinthian still called Christ "A MAN" after His resurrection?

WONDERFUL QUESTION! YOU SHOULD ALSO ASK WHY HE IS STILL REFERRED TO AS JESUS UP TO THIS DAY. YOU KNOW THE NAME, JESUS WAS GIVEN TO HIM ON EARTH. THERE WAS NO MENTION OF THAT NAME IN THE OLD TESTAMENT OR PRIOR TO THE ANGEL'S VISIT. THAT LETTER WAS WRITTEN TO THE CHRISTIANS IN CORINTHIAN WHO PROBABLY NEVER SAW JESUS. IT WAS VITAL TO WRITE IN A MANNER THAT THEY COULD UNDERSTAND.

Reading 1 Corinthian 15 from verse 35 with open mind can solve all your confusion about Christ.

THE SCRIPTURE BELOW SHOULD GIVE YOU A CLEARER ANSWER.
1 Peter 3:18 For Christ died once for all time for sins, a righteous person for unrighteous ones,+ in order to lead you to God.+ He was put to death in the flesh+ but made alive in the spirit.
Religion / Re: Who Is Michael The Archangel? by lovingJehovah: 9:04pm On Oct 27, 2017
You see in your own explanation you seem to be sinning by adding to the scriptures. Did the verse mention angel Gabriel? No, but you did. Could you clear that out so as to be at peace with God's holy spirit?
I will not object if you call yourself a god because the Bible says that there are many gods and even the belly is referred to as a god in the Bible verse here; Philippians 3:19.
If Jesus is going to descend with the voice of the Archangel, will he pluck out the throat of the archangel? why is the voice of the archangel synonymous with the trumpet of God?
I totally agree with you when you referred to Jehovah as the Almighty God and father of Jesus. And that translates to us as well, as we have become sons to him in union with Christ Jesus as the head of the congregation. Jesus clearly said that in John 20:17.
Jehovah's witnesses vividly understand and believe that Jesus is a mighty God as written in Isaiah 9:6 but we love to be clear on the fact that he was never referred to as the ALMIGHTY GOD or SOVEREIGN GOD. The book of 1 Corinthians 8:6 cannot be any more detailed when it said that Jesus is our lord while Jehovah is our God.
I feel delighted that you are able to distinguish between the two persons Jehovah and Jesus and to understand that the two are not equal. That is what the Bible teaches and you are right.
The doctrine of the Trinity is the heretic veil walling the truth from being perceived for what it really is.
I totally agree with the scripture you read in Revelation chapter 3.

here is a question,
enilove:

Jesus is not going to impersonate the voice of an archangel. What that verse means is that :

1....Jesus will descend and be accompanied by angel Gebriel .
Check for yourself , it is also written " with the trum of God".
Does that make Jesus the TRUMPET OF GOD? No.

It simply means when Jesus will descend , he will have angel Gabriel in his company shouting and the trumpet of God shall be blown.

1 Thessalonians 4:16 KJV
For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:

2....God is a title This title is also applicable to we humans as per : Exodus 7:1 KJV
And the Lord said unto Moses, See, I have made thee a god to Pharaoh: and Aaron thy brother shall be thy prophet.
How much more Jesus our Creator. He as the only begotten Son of God is worthy to be called God.
1Tim2:5 means God Almighty Jehovah is God to our Lord Jesus. Jehovah is Father of our Lord Jesus and also God to him. Just as God is our God and we are also gods.

Jesus says in :

Revelation 3:10-12,20-22 KJV
Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth.
[11] Behold, I come quickly: hold that fast which thou hast, that no man take thy crown.
[12] Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, which is new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my God: and I will write upon him my new name...........
[20] Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.
[21] To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, even as I also overcame, and am set down with my Father in his throne.
[22] He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.

We have one God. Father of our Lord Jesus Christ ,who was with God from the beginning and whose image we were created:

Genesis 1:26 KJV
And God said, Let us make man in OUR image, after OUR likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.

I asked for your own definition of convenience because I needed to understand you properly following the context in which you used it.
It is actually a strong statement that you made about us but to ensure that you can back it up, here are some questions for you
Do you own a copy of the original or unadulterated manuscripts of the Greek scriptures?
Was the Bible written only in Greek?
Have you done your research to affirm your assertion? if so, can you elaborate and give detail of how we changed the translation? Is there any verse that I have quoted here that is missing or does not appear same in your own Bible and other translations as well?
As a pastor (according to your handle), would it be wrong if you make citations from the Bible?

PastorAIO:

I mean it in the general dictionary definition sense:

convenience
kənˈviːnɪəns/
noun
noun: convenience

1.
the state of being able to proceed with something without difficulty.
"services should be run to suit the convenience of customers, not of staff"
synonyms: benefit, use, good, comfort, ease, enjoyment, satisfaction
"a shower and toilet were installed for the convenience of swimmers"

Now, what is it that you want to proceed with without difficulty?

Your ideology which you (plural) came to tout even before you read the bible.

That ideology gave you the context for interpreting the text and where you can't make the text fit your preconceived ideology you change the text. A good way is by changing the received translation from the original greek.

I laid out my point here:

No one is belittling Jesus, but the truth of the Bible must be told the way it is without adding anything. Knowing Jehovah and Jesus means everlasting life for us. Jesus is not the not the almighty God as the Bible puts it in 1 Timothy 2:5 and there are many other verses in the sciptures that corroborate that fact. I believe that if you understand it you may quote your own line of scriptures and let the world judge.
we are accused of taking words out of the context but what really is the context? The son is called everlasting and yes we agree, but what does everlasting mean to you? Jesus is seated at the right hand of God, do you believe that? How can someone be seated at his own right hand? is not even logical to begin with.
When Jesus was baptized Jehovah acknowledged him as his SON. The Bible calls Jesus the son of God but you call him God the son, isn't that a deviation from the truth in the Bible?
Originakalokalo:

Jesus is not Michael.

I told him but he kicked.

He said Calling Jesus God is a lie.

That is blasphemy.

The fact that one quotes from the Bible does not mean he understands it.

That doctrine of Jesus not being God is from the pit of hell.

...unto us a SON is born. His name Shall be EVERLASTING FATHER.

A SON IS CALLED EVERLASTING.

From Bethlehem a branch of Jesse shall come. WHOSE GOING FORTH HAS BEEN FROM EVERLASTING.

The fact is not about believing in the Trinity which for a certainty is not a biblical doctrine, but that you do not understand or know the basic tenets of your own doctrine.
I didn't kick. I gave you Bible references and expected you to do your own research but you have probably tried and failed to discover a way out of the truth recorded in the Bible. if you truly love God, the Bible would be your basic guide.
I didn't kick but I offered you the Bible verses that discredit the trinity. If you check the Bible from beginning to the end you will not find that word Trinity in it. It should prompt you to ask where the word came from. Most people are of the predisposition that Jehovah's Witnesses twist the scriptures yet they cannot prove their own doctrines from the Bible. The Trinity claims that God is a mystery which makes one wonder how the God who gave us his word and sent his son to die for us could be a mystery.
John 17:3 says that living forever means knowing God and Jesus. How can we know a mystery? If he is a mystery then we cannot live forever.

Op does not believe in Trinity.

Can you explain why Jesus would have to impersonate the voice of the archangel? Does the voice of the archangel have more power than that of Jesus?
is Jesus God to you? Can you tell me If that is what 1 Timothy 2:5; 1 Corinthians 8:6 say?
when Jesus cried out, "My God" in John 20:17 was he deceiving us?
If your God has another God that he calls his own God and our God would you not be anxious to know about the God of your God?

An archangel is the chief angel or senior angel.
This means he is still an angel.
Michael is Michael. His name is not Jesus. Angels are not gods. Jesus Christ is God . It is only God that worths being worshipped. It is a sin to worship angels. As below:

Revelation 19:10 KJV
And I fell at his feet to worship him. And he said unto me, See thou do it not: I am thy fellowservant, and of thy brethren that have the testimony of Jesus: worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.

But for Jesus , it is not a sin to worship him:

Philippians 2:9-10 KJV
Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: [10] That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;

Revelation 1:13-17 KJV

Revelation 5:8-9 KJV

Firstly, the majority have the propensity for disparaging the JW but that is welcoming for you to make such negative remark about us.
Secondly, I notice that you got really busy on Hebrews chapter 1 today. Thirdly, your question is dysfunctional and not direct but I will run over them. You may highlight your points later if you wish.

Now, your translation of Hebrews 1:4 is spurious and that is one thing you must check after reading this comment. try to compare your Bible with other Bible translations that might be more legitimate. American Standard Version
having become by so much better than the angels, as he hath inherited a more excellent name than they'. You will notice that he BECAME and he INHERITED (possess) a name more than theirs. Research using other translations and the question is answered.
Hebrews 1:5 if you read it properly it says "...TODAY I have become your father. Does that signify anything to you?

Hebrews 1:6 I do not believe that there is any question here. what do you want to ask for real? Jesus was exalted and given a higher rank and other angels are made to carry out act of obeisance to him. Jesus was with his father at the creation of all the angels. He is the firstborn of ALL creation. Jehovah is pleased with him and gives him a position higher than anyone else. You may highlight your point.
Hebrews 1:7 the angels were made spirits. Yeah. God himself is a spirit and Jesus is also. so?
hebrews 1:13 these verses are self-explanatory even to a child. Jesus is the only one at God's right hand. so?
Hebrews 1:14

I would rather you ask a definite question than tap on a chapter and expect me to read your mind. If there is anything in particular that you want to ask you may do that. If you have something you have to share you may also do that. The only opinion in your comment was an insult and dysfunctional question. And asking me what the holy spirit means by something is not Biblical. There is nowhere the holy spirit was found to be meaning something in the Bible. If you know you may share.

Very convenient how you pick Scripture out of context assuming and speculating what you think they could mean but conveniently Dodged the ones which clearly says Jesus is not an Angel.

The Holy Spirit foresaw Charles Tass Russell centuries away as a false teacher with the intent to teach error, he gave this revelation;

Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and upholding all things by the word of his power, when he had by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high:
Hebrews:1:3

Being made so much better than the angels, as he hath by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they.
Hebrews:1:4

For unto which of the angels said he at any time, Thou art my Son, this day have I begotten thee? And again, I will be to him a Father, and he shall be to me a Son?
Hebrews:1:5

And again, when he bringeth in the firstbegotten into the world, he saith, And let all the angels of God worship him.}
Hebrews:1:6

And of the angels he saith, Who maketh his angels spirits, and his ministers a flame of fire.
Hebrews:1:7

But to which of the angels said he at any time, Sit on my right hand, until I make thine enemies thy footstool?
Hebrews:1:13

Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation?
Hebrews:1:14

@lovingjehovah pls explain what the Holy Spirit means by the above verses of scriptures.
Religion / Re: Who Is Michael The Archangel? by lovingJehovah: 4:02pm On Oct 27, 2017
well, your question appears kind of kooky in a way with the words "organization and twist" making it sound pre-judgemental but that is by the way. This question, as a matter of fact, is digressional LOL but good to have this conversation with you.
Now, Hebrews 10:10 "By this “will” we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all time'. In English, we say "you cannot eat your cake and have it". The body was GIVEN to us once and for all time and the body though perfect was in exchange for many as the Bible puts it in 1 Timothy 2:6. If God had given the man(human) body back to Jesus that would simply not be an EXCHANGE, it would have been a loan.
1 Corinthians 15:45 So it is written: “The first man Adam became a living person.” The last Adam became a life-giving spirit". The last Adam as you may agree with me is Jesus and the Bible clearly says that he became a spirit, a life-giving SPIRIT. The Jehovah's witnesses did not make this up to twist anyone's mind. You may verify from your own Bible.

1 Corinthians 15:50 But I tell you this, brothers, that flesh and blood cannot inherit God’s Kingdom, nor does corruption inherit incorruption". Jesus did not ascend to the heavens as a man. Because FLESH and blood cannot get there and I am sure that you will give a nod to that.

Exodus 33:20 But he added: “You cannot see my face, for no man can see me and live". If we go by your perception that Jesus is a man, how then can he be seated at the right hand of God as recorded in Acts &:56 ("Look," he said, "I see heaven open and the Son of Man standing at the right hand of God)?

The Bible is precise on the truth about God. We do not twist your mind or make stories up. It is essential that we teach what is in the scriptures. Jesus is a spirit and he ascended to the heavens like so.

John 4:24 God is a Spirit, and those worshipping him must worship with spirit and truth.” come to think of it, are you guys not contradicting yourselves by saying that Jesus is God and yet he is a man ( rose and ascended with his body) and yet you read John 4:24 and still claim that he is God and he is man. It is in sharp contrast.
God is a spirit and all inhabitants of the heaven are spirits as supported by Psalm 115:16 "As for the heavens, they belong to Jehovah,+
But the earth he has given to the sons of men".

Emusan:

I find this part very interesting, so "...A MAN, Christ Jesus" is what Bible says but you belief through your organization that Jesus after His resurrection isn't A MAN but a spirit.

Waiting for how you'll twist this one.

Thanks for that comment.

Hebrews 1:8 is a frequently quoted verse to support the trinity. But, if you would have the patience to read the next verse you will understand more clearly that you are probably using a spurious translation. Now remember that this is a requote from Psalms 45:6-7 Let us go over it Hebrews 1:8 But about the Son, he says: “God is your throne forever and ever, and the scepter of your Kingdom is the scepter of uprightness. 9 You loved righteousness, and you hated lawlessness. That is why God, your God, anointed you with the oil of exultation more than your companions.”
Now verse 8 makes it clearer that a position was conferred on Jesus. If he were God Almighty, he would be the supreme being/authority without the need for someone to anoint him.
Would you agree that your God was anointed? By who? And take a very good note that it referred to the angels as Jesus' COMPANIONS. So, how do you affiliate the conflicting senses propounded by your translation? To this very end, I am sure even though you quoted Hebrews 1:8 with confidence you will not be willing to quote the proceeding verse because it is contradictory. Not that the Bible is contradictory but your translation is contaminated.
If you are willing to do a little more research it will be more beneficial to you.

Thanks for your thought.

Now, reading the Bible your thought does not seem to match the word of God written at 1 Corinthians 8:6 "there is actually to us one God, the Father, FROM WHOM all things are and we for him; and there is one Lord, Jesus Christ, THROUGH WHOM all things are and we through him". Will you want to state that your doctrine is in contention with these written words or would you like to cut through your doctrine to see if it can fall in line with the scriptures? Secondly, 1 Timothy 2:5 "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, a man, Christ Jesus". Here the Bible specifically states that Jesus is a mediator between us and God. Let me put it in this sense of communication, a mediator between you and your relative living in France is your phone (the network). Using your phone (mediator) you can connect and have a conversation with the receiver (relative). Jesus is referred to as "the way" which means that he leads us to God.

Saying that Jesus is God is similar to calling Jesus a liar because in John 20:17 he clearly refers to someone else as his God and our God. Would Jesus be deceiving us when he cried out in Matthew 27:46 “My God, my God, why have you forsaken me?

If you say that Jesus is the almighty God, then it simply means that you are calling him a liar. What do you think?

bloodofthelamb:

An infinite being cannot pay for a finite crime... Mankind committed an eternal crime by rebelling against an eternal God... The blood of Michael wouldn't have settled the eternal dispute...

Angel did not die for mankind, God did. Christ is God. The scripture says: in Christ Jesus mankind has been made higher than the Angels including Archangel Michael.

Thanks for your compliment.

How about trying to figure out the fact recorded in the scriptures for clarity. We can use the Bible as our guide. According to you, Lucifer is higher than Michael in the hierarchy, how many groups of angels do we have and what are the classification of the hierarchy system in heaven? I know of Jesus who is alternatively Michael and Satan who leads the demons, so do tell.

Moreover, Consider 1 Thessalonians 4:16 "because the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a commanding call, with an archangel’s voice and with God’s trumpet, and those who are dead in union with Christ will rise first'. I want you to clearly take into consideration that the Bible referred to calling with THE archangel's voice and, it says that the Lord is the one calling in THE archangel's voice. How do you compute the sense it makes there in that scripture?
On the other hand in the second letter to the same Thessalonians in 2 Thessalonians 1:7 "But you who suffer tribulation will be given relief along with us at the revelation of the Lord Jesus+ from heaven with his powerful angel", here it was clearly stated that Jesus is leading a troop of powerful angels. And the word ARCHANGEL means a chief angel. So you can be of the same mind with me that Jesus is the chieftain of the angels as the term archangel denotes. Now, here are the questions for you. If Jesus will call in the voice of the archangel, are you implying that he is impersonating Michael if he is not Michael that the Bible refers? And if he impersonates Michael, does that make Michael's voice more powerful than his?

One final question, can you kindly cite a bible verse in which I can find the word godhead?

Originakalokalo:

Nice post.

I have some reservations though.

Jesus is a God head.

Don't compare Michael and Jesus.

In hierarchy, Lucifer is even higher than Michael.

Jesus created them all for himself. Michael is an Angel, Jesus is not.

Jesus is the son ..in the Godhead.

John 20:17 New International Version
Jesus said, "Do not hold on to me, for I have not yet ascended to the Father. Go instead to my brothers and tell them, 'I am ascending to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God.'"
How could Jesus be equal with his own God? God is not a mystery.

Religion / How Do You View The Future? by lovingJehovah: 8:07am On Oct 27, 2017
Will our world . . .

stay the same?
get worse?
get better?
WHAT THE BIBLE SAYS

“God . . . will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.”—Revelation 21:3, 4, New World Translation.

WHAT THAT CAN MEAN FOR YOU

Meaningful and satisfying work.—Isaiah 65:21-23.

No more sickness or suffering of any kind.—Isaiah 25:8; 33:24.

A happy, unending life with family and friends.—Psalm 37:11, 29.

A man and a woman look optimistically toward the future; a young girl waters plants; construction workers build a home
CAN WE REALLY BELIEVE WHAT THE BIBLE SAYS?

Yes, for at least two reasons:

God has the ability to fulfill the promise. In the Bible, Jehovah God alone is called “the Almighty,” for he has unlimited power. (Revelation 15:3) So he is fully able to keep his promise to change our world for the better. As the Bible says, “with God all things are possible.”—Matthew 19:26.
God has the desire to fulfill the promise. For example, Jehovah has a longing to restore life to people who have died.—Job 14:14, 15.
The Bible also shows that God’s Son, Jesus, healed the sick. Why did he do so? Because he wanted to. (Mark 1:40, 41) Jesus perfectly reflected his Father’s personality by his desire to help those in need.—John 14:9.
So we can be sure that both Jehovah and Jesus want to help us to enjoy a happy future!—Psalm 72:12-14; 145:16; 2 Peter 3:9.

WHAT THE BIBLE SAYS

“The Evil One controls the whole world.”—1 John 5:19.

“The Son of God came . . . to destroy the devil’s work.”—1 John 3:8, New Century Version.

WHAT THAT CAN MEAN FOR YOU

Logical explanations for the world’s problems.—Revelation 12:12.

Reason to believe that our world will change for the better.—1 John 2:17.

Satan controlling the world’s politics, military, religions, and people
CAN WE REALLY BELIEVE WHAT THE BIBLE SAYS?

Yes, for at least three reasons:

Satan’s rulership is doomed. Jehovah is determined to bring Satan’s control over mankind to an end. He promises to “bring to nothing . . . the Devil” and undo all the damage that Satan has caused.—Hebrews 2:14, New World Translation.
God has chosen Jesus Christ to rule the world. Jesus is the complete opposite of this world’s present cruel, selfish ruler. Concerning Jesus’ kingship, God promises: “He will have pity on the lowly and the poor . . . From oppression and from violence he will rescue them.”—Psalm 72:13, 14.
God cannot lie. The Bible plainly states: “It is impossible for God to lie.” (Hebrews 6:18) When Jehovah promises to do something, it is as good as done! (Isaiah 55:10, 11) “The ruler of this world will be cast out.”—John 12:31.

Enjoying genuine respect.—Ephesians 5:33.

Having true security.—Mark 10:6-9.

Scenes of happy family life: A mother and daughter, a couple, parents with their son
CAN WE REALLY BELIEVE WHAT THE BIBLE SAYS?

Yes, for at least two reasons:

God is the Originator of family life. The Bible says that “every family . . . owes its name” to Jehovah God. (Ephesians 3:14, 15) In other words, the family unit exists because Jehovah created it. Why is that significant?
Consider: If you were enjoying a tasty meal and wanted to learn its ingredients, whom would you ask? Logically, the person who prepared it.
Likewise, to discover the ingredients for a happy family life, we do well to look to Jehovah, the Originator of the family arrangement.—Genesis 2:18-24.
God cares about you. Families are wise to seek Jehovah’s advice, which he provides through his Word. Why? “Because he cares for you.” (1 Peter 5:6, 7) Jehovah has your best interests at heart—and his counsel always works!—Proverbs 3:5, 6; Isaiah 48:17, 18.

Religion / Who Is Michael The Archangel? by lovingJehovah: 6:24am On Oct 27, 2017
THE spirit creature called Michael is not mentioned often in the Bible. However, when he is referred to, he is in action. In the book of Daniel, Michael is battling wicked angels; in the letter of Jude, he is disputing with Satan; and in Revelation, he is waging war with the Devil and his demons. By defending Jehovah’s rulership and fighting God’s enemies, Michael lives up to the meaning of his name—“Who Is Like God?” But who is Michael?

At times, individuals are known by more than one name. For example, the patriarch Jacob is also known as Israel, and the apostle Peter, as Simon. (Genesis 49:1, 2; Matthew 10:2) Likewise, the Bible indicates that Michael is another name for Jesus Christ, before and after his life on earth. Let us consider Scriptural reasons for drawing that conclusion.

Archangel. God’s Word refers to Michael “the archangel.” (Jude 9) This term means “chief angel.” Notice that Michael is called the archangel. This suggests that there is only one such angel. In fact, the term “archangel” occurs in the Bible only in the singular, never in the plural. Moreover, Jesus is linked with the office of archangel. Regarding the resurrected Lord Jesus Christ, 1 Thessalonians 4:16 states: “The Lord himself will descend from heaven with a commanding call, with an archangel’s voice.” Thus the voice of Jesus is described as being that of an archangel. This scripture, therefore, suggests that Jesus himself is the archangel, Michael.

Army Leader. The Bible states that “Michael and his angels battled with the dragon . . . and its angels.” (Revelation 12:7) Thus, Michael is the Leader of an army of faithful angels. Revelation also describes Jesus as the Leader of an army of faithful angels. (Revelation 19:14-16) And the apostle Paul specifically mentions “the Lord Jesus” and “his powerful angels.” (2 Thessalonians 1:7) So the Bible speaks of both Michael and “his angels” and Jesus and “his angels.” (Matthew 13:41; 16:27; 24:31; 1 Peter 3:22) Since God’s Word nowhere indicates that there are two armies of faithful angels in heaven—one headed by Michael and one headed by Jesus—it is logical to conclude that Michael is none other than Jesus Christ in his heavenly role. *

Religion / The Truth About Halloween by lovingJehovah: 8:25pm On Oct 20, 2017
Is Halloween celebrated where you live? In the United States and Canada, Halloween is widely known and celebrated every year on October 31. Halloween customs, though, can be found in many other parts of the globe. In some places, holidays are celebrated that, although named differently, share similar themes: contact with the spirit world involving the spirits of the dead, fairies, witches, and even the devil and demon angels.

“Halloween,” explains the Encyclopedia of American Folklore, “is integrally related to the prospect of contact with spiritual forces, many of which threaten or frighten.” (See the box “Halloween Time Line.”) Likewise, many celebrations like Halloween have pagan origins and are deeply rooted in ancestor worship. Even today, people around the world use these days to make contact with supposed spirits of the dead.

Although Halloween has been viewed mainly as an American holiday, each year people in more and more countries have been adopting it. Many newcomers to the celebration, however, are unaware of the pagan origins of Halloween symbols, decorations, and customs, most of which are related to supernatural beings and occult forces.—See the box “Where Did It Come From?”

Thousands of Wiccans, who follow ancient Celtic rituals, still call Halloween by the ancient name Samhain and consider it to be the most sacred night of the year. “Christians ‘don’t realize it, but they’re celebrating our holiday with us. . . . We like it,’” stated the newspaper USA Today when quoting a professed witch.

Celebrations like Halloween are in conflict with Bible teachings. The Bible warns: “There must never be anyone among you who . . . practices divination, who is soothsayer, augur or sorcerer, who uses charms, consults ghosts or spirits, or calls up the dead.”—Deuteronomy 18:10, 11, The Jerusalem Bible; see also Leviticus 19:31; Galatians 5:19-21.

In view of the foregoing, it is wise for you to know about the dark origins of Halloween and similar celebrations. Having this fuller understanding may move you to join many others who do not participate in these holidays.

CELEBRATIONS LIKE HALLOWEEN WORLDWIDE
Halloween has generally been regarded as an American holiday. Yet this celebration has become popular in many parts of the world. Additionally, there are other festivities that are like Halloween in that they celebrate the existence and activity of spirit creatures. Shown here are some of the popular holidays like Halloween around the globe.

North America - Day of the Dead
South America - Kawsasqanchis
Europe - Day of the Dead and variations of Halloween
Africa - Dance of the Hooded Egunguns
Asia - Bon Festival
