eternallyfocus: People actually don't Know that this will make it easy for election to be manipulated easily....because it is whatever the machine count and bring out as result that will be accepted..... meanwhile the machine and the system can be manipulated .... Incase u want to argue it, it happened in United State during Trump and Hillary Clinton ... College electoral vote. It was perfected by Russian hackers...no system is perfect...
na wetin I dey talk be This Bro. Even our is own tech guys can still manipulate this.
Bennycollins: In as much as humans are concerned and involved in all the programmings, there is every possibility of loopholes for rigging. Don't think that Yakubu and his INEC are truly independent and not being controlled by the govt.
they are deceiving us bro. They are possible ways to still rig election

Gbeng30: See him, that's how they mislead people, the most important thing is the intention and the motive behind their clapping...i don't know why some pastor like to bring nothing out of nothing because this is meaningless to me...
why would clap for Jesus and so similar things to politician during speech or footballers during match., Don't you think we should have another way of honouring God.?
He is right, if we could clap for ourselves, politician during speech. Footballers during play, why should do the same to our Lord Jesus, we should have the another way to honor God, like lifting if hands. Kneeling down etc
Bobbiee: The only livable cities in the South West is Lagos, Abeokuta and Ibadan. The rest is just fvcking depressing. I've lived in the South West my whole life. Moved from Oshogbo to Ado to Ogbomosho to Ilorin (north). Even stayed in Ife for a short while. I know what I'm saying. I think it's just something about the red sand and dust or maybe the fact that a lot of buildings are built poorly as is the case of Oyo, with rusting corrugated sheets.
Personally, I prefer the South South to the South East. Almost all the houses, even in the most remote village is built to standard. And the leaves are green year round unlike the south West where the leaves dry up most of the year. I haven't been in the North so I can't say.
But here's my ranking on the southern regions: South South followed by South East then South West.
If Lagos was a region on its own it would be at the top. But the fact that it falls under the South West removed it from the list.
any region without green leaves is a no for me. I love green vegetation
I don't really understand this whole concept of cheating till now, for unmarried couple there shouldn't be such word as cheating because you can't stop who was a stranger to you From meeting new people again. For married couple you shouldn't stop someone that uses his money to marry you from using his money to marry another person.
nokspos: I heard some state in Nigeria or culture forbids married women from having extra marital affairs and I think it’s a good culture considering how cheap sex has become with these new age technologies.
I’ll like to know if this culture still exists and which part of Nigeria.
Also, Does any part of Yoruba culture also have this. ?
not state actually but smaller tribe in many states.

Laryfrosh: See Bros leave talk! Most persons that got into tech, got in because of the money... But along the line, what keeps you going is the passion... I ain't gonna deny that... I started learning Web dev in February this year... I can boldly tell you that two things attracted me to tech. 1. The pay 2. The fact that you can work from home. Then, you get to live a low-key life. But along the line, I became passionate about it. I have rejected a job in the banking industry just to focus on this part even though I don't know or it is not sure I am gonna get a job so soon after learning and I don't have so much financial strength to carry on for so long but I have chosen that I am gonna stick to it. I got in with the mindset of just learning front-end development but now, I virtually just want to know everything... Like I want to know how the web works fully(from Front-end to back-end) and even other fields of tech. I am just so curious to acquire knowledge and know more about the field(not just web development alone). So, telling someone who knows nothing about tech to be driven by passion is like telling a man to fall in love with an woman he is never met or spoken to before. Something will definitely drive you into the industry but what is gonna keep you is most likely gonna be the passion which you develop as time goes on... So, please let's minimize this passion stuff for newbies trying to break into the field. my thoughts though
please how did you start your journey, please can you guide me
babakb: There is no way the hype around Tech can be killed or ignored, Do you know that there are over a hundred In demand skills in Tech? Do you know the comfort you get for working Remotely for companies abroad? Do you know that there are multiple opportunities for being a successful entrepreneur in Tech? Do you know that there are many developed countries out there that have approved Digital Nomad Visa to attract Tech professionals around the world? Do you know that "John Oseni" a 16 years old Nigerian was recently hired by an Italian company as Senior Developer with just 2 years experience?
I personally think the Tech Industry is actually under hyped, I will keep singing the song to as many youth as possible to switch to Tech, I'm 38 years but the Tech train will not leave me behind
I just singed for a Web Development and Automation classes, I don't care if the industry becomes saturated, I'm positive, I believe I'm that lost diamond that will always shine in the midst of the desert
I believe you have the passion and satisfaction. If money is the main driver you'll end up unhappy and moody. Tech pays when you put in the required work, the awareness is increasing and the the competition is also increasing. That itself will be an issue because projects drives demand. Salaries and pay is purely based on economies. There are many factors why tech salaries are high. Factors include revenue generated, demand and supply, value, users.
I tell others if you're serious and put in a considerable hours of work everyday into web dev, you will be guaranteed a starting pay of at least $500 a month in 6 months. That's a good ROI for someone in Nigeria. Many have taken advantage of this opportunity which is nice. On the other hand, I'm not a fan of learning all the new tech and burning my calories on continuous self development. At this time, I need a work/life balance. I enjoy listening to music and watching movies, playing games, having fun and enjoying life in my little way.
