Mcbussy: I now understand you. I thought probably you did a speedtest on your phone and got 2mbps, I didn't know you were actually downloading at 2mbps. It's very possible and it can be achieved with 3.5G. 4G and 4G LTE can attain speeds of 50 - 100Mbps but are always capped. Smile is capped at 21mbps but can get to speeds of over 60mbps, so I heard though 2 Likes |

Mcbussy: Bruv, bandwidth is measured in megabits and not megabytes. If eti shows you 2mbps, it doesn't mean when you download, you will get 2mbps. If you want to know the actual speed that you will download a file, divide their speed average by 8 because 8 bits = 1 byte. 1 Like |

soul_glo: If you hit someone because of what they said to you then you are an uncivilized untamed animal. I don't care if you are a man or woman. That's just rubbish. What you said up there is the excuse that ALL abusers use. Do you really think that an abuser will not say "she made me do it?". The only time that physical force is necessary is to protect yourself from physical injury. She provoked him with her words? Is this Kindergarten or are we talking to adults here. It is not an excuse. It's a fact. You decided to see what you wanted to see which is typical of human beings. I do not condone beating and abuse and I made that clear but obviously you missed that. Excuse me, who is an abuser? You certainly do not have any idea of what you are saying. Some women would have emotionally abused the man that the only thing left for him to do is to use his fists. Which is also not right, and not justifiable but is it not sensible for a woman not to get on the man's nerves and let everyone live in peace. The women start these things and then say men are animals. You turned him into an animal! Can you show your husband love and he reciprocates by beating you? You have a brain located in your head; use it! |

Family / Advice For Nigerian Ladies by lucarella: 4:19pm On Oct 31, 2013 |
I have noticed that the latest trend in this country is the case of marriage brutality and domestic violence. I really do not understand this at all. This week alone, I have heard over 5 different ladies over public channels (Radio and Television) advising other ladies not to stay in a marriage that is abusive and all. For one, I would never hit a woman and I utterly detest domestic violence. But, the problem is worse than that. Ladies say men will turn you into a punching bag etc... But have you ever stopped to wonder for once what the problem is? Why would a man you loved so much to the extent that you could say 'yes' to suddenly turn into an animal and hit you up and down? Do not get me wrong; some men have mental problems. But that is just a few of them. Women of nowadays, because of the rate of exposure and achievements that they have attained, now feel they are equal to men but this is totally false. They are both humans but the husband is a King and most times, the wife tries to be the king, instead of a queen. Most marriages are more of competition and contests than the original reason for the marriage; which is to love and help each other. You see a case where a husband and a wife are both working and trying to show which one is superior and more intelligent. In this part of the world, the man is the breadwinner and ought to be respected by his wife. A man (well, most men) will never raise his hands against you if they do not see you as a threat and that is the truth. Now back to the ladies making such advises. To be honest, I have see a couple of cases where the husband was really provoked. Some ladies do not know how to talk. They provoke the husband and the man hits them, then they go around without saying what really went on. I really wish you could get a camera and record most of these domestic violence incidents. You won't ever believe that is was the woman that caused the provocation. Men are physical and muscular. And by nature, the best way to show their dominance is to use their physique. So, if a man you loved and loved you back hits you, he felt you were trying to compete with him in his space. Most of these ladies talking and giving advice on the radio are not even married, talkless of having boyfriends so they can say anything they want. Ask them if they will be where they are now if their parents walked out of their marriages. Please, I don't want to be mis-understood, if your husband hits you FOR NO REASON, kindly walk out. But, if you know deep inside you that you pushed him to do it, kindly work on that part and do not do it again. It's as simple as that. The rate of divorce is very high. Nowadays, women go into marriage with a clear conscious option to move out if they feel uncomfortable. So, by that, there is a high tendency to misbehave. Men, if you hit your wives with the slightest provocation, it's simple. You are not fit to be a man. You are simply an animal. Because I can't just imagine how you will hit a delicate creature so hard like you are hitting your fellow man. Let's leave a good legacy for our kids. Be guided! 2 Likes |

Someone just has to take the blame. Nigerians logic! Just to say that these things happen. God forbid it happens to anyone of us here. Now Dana Air will be on cruise control. The whole attention will be taken off them. |
Travel / Plane Crash At MM1A by lucarella: 10:39am On Oct 03, 2013 |
There is a report of a plane crash at MM1A just now. Mods, please straight to frontpage. Reports reaching DailyPost’s newsdesk, have it that an Associated Airline plane carrying the body of late Agagu, has crashed in Lagos. According to those present around the scene, the crash happened at the local wing of the airport, close to the section where JET-A1, plane fuel is stored. As at the time of filing in this report, fire service officials were seen evacuating the occupants of the plane and it is not yet clear if there is any casualty. Yakubu Datti, the spokesman of the Nigeria aviation agencies, has asked for more time to get concrete details of the accident. However, Segun Demuren, the son of Harold Demuren, has tweeted his own account of the crash: http://dailypost.com.ng/2013/10/03/breaking-associated-airline-plane-carrying-reportedly-carrying-agagus-corpse-crashes-in-lagos/?utm_source=&utm_medium=twitter&utm_campaign=breaking-associated-airline-plane-carrying-reportedly-carrying-agagus-corpse-crashes-in-lagos

The Abidjan-Lagos highway development project may cost up to $2bn, the Commissioner for Infrastructure, Economic Community of West African States Commission, Mr. Ebima Njie, has said. He spoke in Abuja on Friday during a meeting with development partners on the Abidjan-Lagos Corridor Highway Development Project. He said, “We are now focusing on three areas: the legal framework, which is going to govern the movement of people and goods within the corridor; the technical terms of reference of the designs and the management, which is going to govern the highway; and the financial mechanism, which is one of the most important things in order to get the dream realised. “Seventy-five per cent of our trade movement relies on this corridor. We are going to put up a funding mechanism, a pool of funds whereby it could be a mixture of funding. We will take loans and grants in order to make sure this is realised. “Until the design has been done properly, we cannot come up with a tangible figure, but cost estimates; we are looking at $1bn to $2bn within that bracket in order to fund this project.” The Minister of Works, Mr. Mike Onolememen, said the project would facilitate free movement across borders in the sub-region. Represented by the Deputy Director, Highways Planning, Mr. Umunna Ekenna, the minister said, “We have witnessed that regions around the world are pulling resources together towards creating opportunities to maximise the areas of strength for individual states within their regions. Our question; 'How does the Lagos-Abidjan highway cost $2bn and the Lagos-Ibadan highway cost $1bn' Is Ibadan almost the same distance with Abidjan from Lagos? Politics / Re: Dana Air Had Technical Fault While Taking-Off In Lagos Yesterday by lucarella: 8:40am On Jun 13, 2013 |
This is really unfair. Dana Air has replied and dismissed the claims. Well, d dude has gotten his little minutes of fame. Our attention has been drawn to an online report suggesting that a Dana Air aircraft had an air return shortly after take-off from MMA2 on Monday, 10th June,2013. Firstly, we wish to state that this report is false and totally misleading. As can be verified by the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) and the National Airspace Management Agency (NAMA), at no time was a faulty Dana Air aircraft airborne. The flight crew on flt.9J-357 on the said date, upon noticing a snag on the aircraft, cancelled the flight in line with global best practices and called for a replacement aircraft which eventually ferried all 44 guests to Abuja safely. Secondly, we wish to clarify that while aircraft in the service of local and international airlines do experience snags, they are not returned to service until the reported snags have been rectified and the aircraft recertified by the regulatory authority; this is the standard practice globally. For the records too, Air Returns are not uncommon in the global aviation industry and, when they occur, are done as a precautionary safety measure. At Dana Air, the safety and comfort of our guests and crew is a priority and we would continue to go the extra mile to deliver reliable, world-class air transport services to our esteemed guests. Thank you. Dana Air Management
