The death of 166 should constitute a national tredgedy but not much is being heard in Nigeria. Not even mourning the dead. This goes to show the value we place on human life in Nigeria. Too sad. |

Personally, i am not against building this edifice but my grouse is with the mode of sourcing the funds. i.e sneaking it into the FCT budget. I believe that such a project should be funded by soliciting for donations from individuals and organisations across Africa. what the first lady should be doing is use her husband influence to achieve this. just my simple way of seeing this; i might be wrong.... |
Growing up, i loved the 505 sx and m benz 200 regular. Still love them |

kannymoore: Erm... Has anyone seen a tarred road in Ayobo before?...i mean, in their entire livesYou took this question off my mouth. This government is busy working in place which are already opened up like Surulere, Yaba, Ikeja, etc whereas there are places in Alimosho such as Ayobo, Igesu & Co who have never seen anything called tarred road all their lives.the closest tarred road they can see is the one at Ipaja which also is dilapidated(though under construction at the moment).Lagos state Government must stop pretending that there are no rural areas in Lagos. There are still many Villages in lagos which lack access roads and these areas are densely populated and as such become the beehive of activities during electioneering campaigns. Give attention to Alimosho the most populated local government in Lagos state. Eko o nibaje o! |

One thing i discovered is that most people who are so inclined to online dating sites have problems in their relationships. its could be loss or inadequate communication between couples, also could be as a result of not getting adequate attention from one's spouse. Majority of lonely people tend to find solace online, looking for people who are ready to talk, listen and flirt. Just my 2 cents. |
These leaders must ensure that all projects are people centred. We queued under d sun to vote 4 a better life not this |

misreal: my brother he made a lot of sense.most of de problems he is facing today he was nt even born wen it strted.so y dnt we gve him time so dat he can try his bestNigeria, a country of over 100 million people should and cannot be governed by trial & error. only people with clear idea of Nigeria's problem and a clear cut action plan for solving them, should dream of rulling her.I bet my balls that this fellow has no plan or roadmap for this country. No one forced him to be predident so if he feels the kitchen is too hot, then he should honourably look for the nearest exit door. |
Sometime last year , the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission(NERC) directed all electricity distribution companies to stop deducting meter maintenance fee from electricity consumers, till date as i type this, they are still charging this fee whenever one buys units of energy from them. My experience shows that they even collect arrears when you have not recharged for sometime. I think this is a clear cut case of daylight robbery on the consumers.Whats your experience on this? |
El Guapo: [color=#0066ff]For Delivering me In Nigeria >spot on |
To start with, my responsibility as the head of the family is to provide for the family regardless of whatever my wife makes(A woman's money is a woman's money), also, it is my duty to spend time to think about how to ensure that the family as a whole moves forward- i do this when she's busy with the domestic chores. Also, as Africans, domestic chores is meant to be a woman's duty which she does with pride, teaching her daughters also. Growing up, i can't remember seeing my father wash dishes , sweep or wash clothes; the guy spent his time providing for the family to the point of ensuring that my mother does not have anything to do with providing for anyone. This is African and thats what the outside world finds amazing with us. I am not an advocate of working the woman whom i love to death; thats why i take out some very strong tasks for myself sometimes; for this i deserve nothing but appreciation(for over stepping my boundaries ) |
@Op, i went through your post hoping to get out some substance but i'm sorry to summarize your post as simply "childish". Edo people are not interested in the religion and personal life of the governor. All we are interested in is simple"GOOD GOVERNANCE" So far, for the first time in many years, Edo has become a point of reference wherever a discussion on Good governance in Nigeria is held. Lets keep aside our selfish and parochial interests and be truthful to ourselves as good students of history. Support the good work. |
Many times we hear women complain about men not helping out with any of the domestic chores and people are quick to conclude that such men are wicked and insensitive. I think men have reasons for not helping out. Mine for example is that all the times i tried to help out with something, my wife automatically makes it my duty every other time; she'll even remind me when i don't do it. I think one should help out of one's free will. Guys what are your reasons? |
