Op, your diagnosis is on point. The young ones will not understand what you are talking about. You made a lot of sense ![]() |
Story for the gods! Anenih should look for something else to tell his gullible Esan people whom he has deceived for decades, yet they still keep listening to him. He has succeeded in making their case like that of the Igbos who played themselves out of political relevance at the centre. the same 5% treatment is what Esan people would have to suffer for many years if their pastor losses the forthcoming election. |
Esan, Esan, Esan. How many times did I call you? I pray sincerely that the scales covering your eyes following blindly a party like Pdp should drop. When will you people tell yourselves the truth? Who are the ones championing this retrogressive move? Are they not the same old Godfathers who shared the wealth of Edo state amongst themselves for many years? They made Edo state a laughing stock among other states in Nigeria and you all kept quiet. What happened to your so called education and level of enlightenment? |
ireneony:Have ever bothered to compare Edo state as left by Oshiomhole with the Edo state he inherited from the pdp? Maybe you are not grown enough to understand where Edo is coming from or is it myopia? I would have given pdp the opportunity of ruling Edo state again so that Edo people could learn gratitude rather than continue hate campaign against a governor who opened their eyes to good governance and demystified governance. God forbid retrogression. |
wheredemdey:Did he forget to lodge at Oriental hotel? |

Are you a prophet of doom? Do you ever prophecy anything than bad news? |
Somebody should help me tell Mr Adeshina to keep kwayet if he has nothing reasonable to say. He is beginning to sound like Doyin Okupe. Why is it that the moment they get to Abuja, they loose touch with reality? I'm not a wailer by the way. |
I want to at this point call on Governor Oshiomhole to emulate Governor Ambode of Lagos. Ambode passed through Cele Ilasa failed portions of road and he immediately directed Julius Berger to fix the road. Work commenced at once and that job has been completed, Lagos people who ply that road are now happy. That in my opinion is what good governance is all about. I appeal to Governor Oshiomhole even as he has firsthand knowledge of the current state of the road to liaise with Minister Fashola to at least carry out some palliative work on the road to alleviate the suffering of the people. The APC government must prove to Nigerians that they are a responsible and responsive government. |
The average Nigerians car owner only wants to drive without taking out time to give their cars the desired attention. Even humans require periodic check ups. Another problem is that, many fail to seek information about what car they can acquire and afford it's maintenance. For example, knowing the cost of replacing major parts like engine, transmission, and others is important. If such costs fall within what they can readily afford, then you can say they have a good chance of having a great motoring experience. Cartalk is a good place for demystifying motoring and equipping us even before we become car owners. I have learnt so much from these so called 'Mechanics'. I now understand that my car's reliability depends largely on my usage and maintenance culture, brand of car regardless. |
Spreads mat on thread with hot maize and pear to go with. I have same interest as the op. |
Very informative thread! I had my own car burglary experience on Friday 1st July in Lagos. I had gone for a night vigil in a church in the Ogba area. I parked in a supposedly open, well lit place. By 5am when I came out, I found that my rear window (2008 Corolla), was broken, door opened and all four power window controls were missing. On close observation, I discovered the bonnet open but nothing was taken. I started the car and drove home. Spent almost 30k for replacements from Ladipo. See the pictures below. |
If you must join a group in school, join a religious group. Avoid parties Dress decently Be a book worm I tell you, at the end of the few years in school, you must have gotten yourself peace of mind and the kind of result that you will be proud of for the rest of your life. A word is enough for the wise. |

Same Orubebe who accepted a fully built up house gift in Abuja from Setraco while still minister of the federal republic of Nigeria. |
It is the governor who will present the king with his staff of office. |
Do they know that the king gets paid a salary by the governor? |
Uncommon transformation indeed. |
UjGina:The greatest Hypocrite ever. |
This is a recipe for chaos. Whoever approved that location for that purpose did very little or no thinking. It's wrong on all levels |
The senate should be scrapped already. They are a useless bunch totally disconnected from the people they claim to represent. |
How old is she? |
Konji is a baskad |
I want to thank the Governor for completing this job. i have had the experience of using that road when it was very bad. i also used the road last Saturday, and i must confess that driving on that road has become a pleasurable experience. Kudos to Lagos state government. |
Why do i get this feeling that these NASS people deliberately want to stagnate this country in order to discredit the presidency. why sacrifice the development of Nigeria on the alter of petty politics? We obviously lack good representation. SMH |
In the 80's in this same country, people were being begged to become councillors. This is because it was purely a call to work devoid of any attractive pecuniary benefits. But today, councillors now have access to funds huge enough to acquire properties abroad, hence the killing and maiming to become one. |
First time i've seen this minister dress responsibly, decently. |
Nigerians complain about everything. Can there be appreciable development without some demolition? Soon after we would forget the pains and count the gains. Ride on mr Governor! Don't loose focus |
Growing up, I belonged to a Pentecostal church where church members who engaged in extra marital affairs are openly disgraced before the full congregation. This usually happens on Sunday mornings when the church is very full. The parties to the sin are called out, suspended and handed over to the devil for the duration of the suspension. They are made to stop all church work, no offerings, must attend all services, shall not be greeted by anyone and shall seat separately from others on a special seat placed at the end of the hall. The person under suspension is expected to remain in the church to serve out the suspension period. Any attempt to leave the Church will mean that such a person will be followed by a devastating curse wherever he/she goes. Similarly, members who give birth to children out of wedlock are equally disciplined by suspension. Now, if Flavour was in my church, he would have been suspended for having children outside wedlock and the church would never accept those equipments he presented to the church. I remember the story of a brother who was on suspension and bought his first car and brought to church and nobody congratulated him or prayed for him. The church was simply obeying the scriptural injunction of open rebuke. Is this still tenable in today's church? What's your experience and does this still happen in other churches today? How are baby mamas and papas treated in your church? |
rahman3853:Another illiterate who does not understand the VP's simple English language. Please brush up your English language especially now that we have a sound SAN as VP. Unlike the other phd holder who couldn't speak correct English. |
orgy:Receive sense! You are part of those who skipped English language classes. See how you disgrace yourself on an international forum. |
