For those of us who are moving into developing areas, you will agree with me that snakes and other rodents are usually rampant due to the bushes in the surroundings. please advice me on what to do to get rid of these and stay safe with my family. Your contributions will be appreciated. |
Since i got wind of Festus Keyamo's interest in running for the post of Senator representing Delta state, i have not stopped imagining what Nigerian Senate would look like with the controversial lawyer and activist being a member of the Senate. Would he continue to be as vocal as we have known him to be over the years? or would we see transformation as seen in Abati? Personally, i expect him to demystify the hollowed chambers by by being the first serving Senator to make public what a Nigerian Senator actually earns(with evidence); thus putting to rest our speculatons. What do you think? |
She could really be a lesbo as some say.. |
Benin- Lagos/ Lagos- Benin flights are hardly ever smooth. it is usually very bumpy/ turbulent as the aircraft doesn't hit usual high altitudes due to the short distance. Anyone with similar experience? |
hillsate: Only an irresponsible government will even contemplate a mutually agreed and signed agreement. |

I want to see more of this. The thought of being molested will definitely put these leaders in check. Ejigbo local government Chairman should do something about the bad portions of road directly opposite his secretariat. People are tired and fast running out of patience. |
hope this fire is not a political one is someone pondering what i'm pondering? |
Gradually, the chicken is coming to roost..i am reclining on my arm chair throwing pop corn into my mouth watching African Magic by the way, first to comment. |
“This office wishes to call on all feuding parties in Rivers State tospare a thought for the social, political and economic costs of the crisis, and consider an urgent way to resolve all political differences.” WHICH OFFICE? Second base Joor ![]() |

Naija! its everything we do upside down. This is absurd. |
This is a very good piece of news for all those residing in that area. By pulling this through, LASG led by Governor Fashola would be demonstrating the fact that theirs is truly a listening government. KUDOS BRF! |

I think the saving grace would be the complete dualisation of that road. Its taking so long and taking many lives. |
This is one stretch of road where cars, SUVs, Buses including Trailers are in the habit of overtaking(facing oncoming vehicles). My experience was that we were faced by a fully loaded petrol tanker overtaking on a slope. Our driver had to swereve into the highway shoulder which was riddled with huge pot holes, we were lucky vehicle was not damaged. Whats your experience along that road? |
Haven't you noticed that majority of the truck drivers today are teenagers and adults in their early twenties? Truck driving should be open only to Adults from age 35 upwards. I know of a company who hire only 40yrs and above. this is to ensure that only people with some level of maturity and a sense of responsibility drive trailers. What we see daily is a display of youthful exuberance. May God save us all. |
Lagos State Government says it will soon provide a "proper link bridge to replace the wooden makeshift one currently in use" in Igando and Ayobo areas of the state. A statement by the Ministry of Works and Infrastructure on Thursday quoted the Commissioner, Dr. Obafemi Hamzat, as saying this in an interview with journalists. Hamzat said the government was aware of the situation in Igando as well as all other such challenges regarding roads in Lagos. He added that government was working to provide solutions. He said, "It is a deliberate policy of the state government to ensure the interconnectivity of communities and we are committed to providing such link. "We have undertaken the Okota-Itire Link Bridge. We are working on Ajao-Ejigbo Bridge. Even the Lekki-Ikoyi Bridge is to address the issue of communal linkage and reduction in travel time across the state." Hamzat also noted that no government had the resources to undertake the rehabilitation and provision of all roads and bridges in any jurisdiction simultaneously. He said a process of prioritising was put in place to determine where to undertake any project. He said, "Traffic demand and population of communities, the benefit cost analysis of the roads, bridges (or any other project) and the expected impact of the project(s) are all considerations that come to play during project prioritising processes." Hamzat insisted that since the inception of the Fashola administration all areas of the state had been beneficiaries of the road project portfolio of the state. He said the Isheri-Osun-Jakande Bridge and Ipaja Ayobo road projects required patience on the part of the people. Source: http://helloaf.com/a/135783_1 If the Fashola administration truly care for the common man who voted to make him Governor, then this project would be one sure way of directly touching their lives. I still believe that a definite time frame would be of essence rather than this vague statement. |
Are Ben 10 cartoons good for our children? what has been your experience? |
Gat some work to do..... could use some Toolz! |
How do you feel when you see a Job advert stating requirements like experience, skills, personal xteristics, location, age all of which you have except "a good first degree from a University" because you spent 4years of your in a polytechnic and got HND Upper/lower credit which cannot qualify you to apply for even a government job. Why are thousands of folks still in these polytechnics when it is very glaring that they will surely be discriminated against. Students should think. Government should do the honorable thing, Scrap them or convert them all to Universities. NERC has so many vacancies now but no HND holder can apply. There are many more coming and going everyday. Let act now! |
The list of roads earmarked for construction should be at the finger tip of every tax paying citizen of Lagos as a way of staying in touch with the progress being made by the state government. Blanket statements such as this(70 roads) only end up confusing us the more. i am curious because Lagos state (unknown to many) still has many communities housing hundreds of thousands of Lagosians with red earth access roads(Never ever been constructed before). Go to Ayobo and environs and see for yourself. There are still many wood bridges constructed by individuals which act as the only major access into these communities, people pay huge tolls to these individuals on a daily basis. let us see the list and know how many of these communities who voted massively for this government are represented in it. |
Call it Honda Evil Spirit and we will understand ![]() |
Does anyone have details of these 70 new roads the Governor is talking about? |
There is a myth that cars used by females are better choices when buying a used car, but taking a close look, i found that such cars should be a No- No considering the following facts: 1. Female drivers are not careful when driving on our pot hole ridden roads 2. Female drivers who i have seen driving through flooded roads are not good managers of such situations 3. They really do not have the time to supervise what their mechanics are doing on their cars. So, i don't get how a car used by a female would be a better choice whe buying a Naija used car. This is my own opinion, please share yours. |
Ecobank shareholders, i received a notification for AGM last week. Have you seen yours? This is the second time i will be getting this notification in two years but i am yet to received any dividend. what about you? |
I have been pondering over this development for some time now and it gets me very worried. School bus drivers driving very recklessly with our children on board. I think we all should condemn this at our various schools so that these schools can caution their drivers for the safety of our children. we all need some level of confidence that our kids are in safe hands as we go about our daily work. A friend's son almost lost his life some time ago in a ghastly school bus accident. |
