There's hardly a safe road in this country these days.. I think the federal government should declare a state of emergency on kidnapping across the country, set up joint patrol and check points on all major roads. |

People might be quick to write off this pothole fixing as mere minor work. Well, this singular practice can only be appreciated by motorists who understand the benefits to the health of their cars and a reduction in travel time across the state. This palliative measures can be done continuously until when the government become ready for a total reconstruction of some roads. This was what Ambode failed to do when he totally neglected the fixing of potholes and concentrated on a few mega projects, while the people were left to suffer daily in terrible traffic. He made the Lagos public works agency almost non existent. Such a heartless fellow |
Yeye Bello This is highly insensitive when you look at the level of misery and hunger in his state |
When will people stop dying unnecessarily in Nigeria? Government cannot give uninterrupted power, agreed. So people have to resort to the use of generators. Lots of citizens have died over the years from generator fumes so this raises the following questions. 1. Shouldn't the government (if they valued their citizens) be carrying out a massive sensitization of citizens at all levels on the dangers of generator fumes and how not to use a generator? 2.is the government trying to deny the fact that generator usage has become part of Nigerians as a way of getting alternative power source for livelihood and survival? Its time we get real in this country |
Just look at this clown who was prevailed upon to let the Conference be a sovereign one so that all agreements made there becomes law automatically. He refused but rather convened a National conference whose deliberations would later be subjected to further debates at the National assembly. He planned the whole exercise to fail. He wasn't sincere |
Let them not forget to also flush out the ritual killers ravaging the south west |
This stat will be useful for equitable distribution of the accrued taxes. States should get tax return share according to their consumption. Enough of the hypocrisy |
So far, all I can hear is compensation and accommodation of interests. No one has said anything about competence and capacity to perform. This country is long gone |
Ambode cultivated enough potholes that can outlive two tenures of a government |
Sex starved ladies now turning to feminism. Don't keep running away from the problem, deal with it, get a man, might be difficult, keep trying onw day, you will succeed |
Amuocha:Your head is very correct!!! I can now relate. If you know you know |
This repair work is looking overwhelming to the state government because the local governments who are primarily responsible for doing these kinds of jobs are largely incapacitated. This should have been easily handled by making each local government roll out its own direct works team to critical spots, since they have better knowledge of their terrains. Rather, what has been happening is that the state controlled LSPWC randomly picks bad spots to fix. Often times, they do shoddy jobs by deliberately leaving some areas within the same spot undone and that becomes the next point where the road starts to go very bad almost immediately. This to me is simply a waste of time and resources. As it stands now, if LSPWC decides to be working 24hrs daily, they would not have covered Lagos major and inner roads in months. These roads were simply neglected by the current administration of Akinwunmi Ambode. |
Sanwo will complete your projects same way you completed Fashola's own ![]() |
I just don't know why the police and army have not declared a state of emergency on this road. Kidnappers and armed robbers operate daily in same known spots yet, no concrete steps have been taken. We don't value human life in Nigeria. |
I have not read or heard from any news media where the terrorist was described as a Christian. Somebody should call this MURIC guy to order. Its is very wrong to assume that all whites are Christians when in truth most are Atheists. We don't need anyone making baseless inciting statements that are capable of causing public disturbance in Nigeria. |

A coalition of these young presidential candidates at this point would be a good idea to have governance from a different perspective |
listening to these three sound presidential candidates speak, it goes to show that we have the people who can make that real change urgently needed in Nigeria. Why can't we all join hands to select a President to be proud of from these young ones? |
This post will expose those who dont read stories here. They would have already started spreading rumours that Luiz Suarez is coming to Arsenal ![]() |
