If this issue must be tackled we must be ready to tackle the remote cause. What's the remote cause? |

Like you say, you're doing it in your own way, so thanks! No, I should be the one to say thank you for the for this beautiful thread. We need more of you. |

The subjective analysis The bias comments The hatred for one Nigeria The hatred for the truth So what did I miss? |

0balufonlll: You do not realize Yoruba are trapped in a country with people who are almost animalistic in thinking. I do not think you have been on NL from its early days to see how horrible things really are. It's easy to be consume with hatred if you take everything you read at face value on this platform. I live in a community where I get to interact with people from different part of this country. They ain't all bad. They are only looking for a means to survive and feed their family. It's politicians who are many on this platform that are fanning the embers of hatred. When I read, I also try to read who's carrier of the message because most of them are politicians.. Don't let them use your head to play ball. I'll advise you to take a break from this section once in a while. It will enable you to view things from a different perspective. |

onavae: Also look at it this way. By posting it online, you are calling on Northern elites to shamefully wake up to their responsibilities. Having held power for much longer and with all the wealth at their disposal, why should they have so many beggars walking the streets? Personally, I think more of such videos should be posted as much as possible if it will make their leaders and elites have some shame and come to the aid of their weakest and most vulnerable people. Oga is there a different between being call a fool and being told you can be wiser. Let me break it down. You are a fool for doing this. You would have been wise if you had done this. The first is an insult. The second is an advice but it's still saying same thing. So no human being will see good in what you guys are doing except the perpetrators. |

Hedonisst: Na English you dey speak. A hot bowl of nonsense.
By posting it online, WE are sending a message that people must learn to live with the consequences of their choices! You want Buhari because he is your Sharia brother and Northern hegemonist right, then stick with that choice.
It is an insult to us conscientious southerners for you to come and meet us with your smelly selves, after forcing your despicable presidential choice down our throats to beg for money. Where is the sense and justice in that? You have chosen your preferred leadership. Live with that choice. Hold that leadership accountable for a better life. Don't come to us whose voices you have drowned out with your raggedy numbers! That's the message! That's the essence of those videos! Oga no vex. Please continue o. I'll be waiting here for you all. |

mightyokwy: So before creating a thread against the igbos, first of all create one to caution your brothers and friends up north and west. They started it first. Average igbo man don't care about nigeria politics. He is more concern about his business. That why he doesn't depend on government for survival. You can't come online taunting and blackmailing me for my personal choice and expect me to keep quiet. Hate begot hate. Talk to your people and we will be fine. So you are telling me you didn't see the outburst and the insult that follows after the election results was announced. So you are playing dumb to the fact that's what's going on was as a result of the election loss. |

0balufonlll: I am not preaching violence except these strangers get violent. I am saying Ibos should be cut to size in Lagod through socio-economic policies targeted at their cluster settlements & businesses to discourage their daily Ekene Dili Chukwu people cargoing from east to west. And also to render the political offices they have been able to secure impossible by depopulating their settlements or at least by making it a competition between them & other alejos like the Hausa. Or we go the North way by importing Yoruba in Benin Republic & Togo to vote en masse in their strongholds. There are several ways to clip these people without taking lives or shedfing blood. And these policied will begin to manifest soon, watch. I'll list 5 other ways without being called vindictive and evil. 1. Sensitization. 2. Change the law. 3. Traditional rulers influencing the political parties. 4. Having an open conversation about it just as we are doing now. I was reading a thread yesterday on Nairaland and the writer made a point that stuck with me. He said the Easterners have people already representing their interest in the southeast, so why do they now want to take a slot that belongs to the westerners. With that argument alone, we all can fight for the amendment of the constitution. 5. Let our vote continue to speak. |

mightyokwy: What have you done to talk to your fellow northerners and the westerners that have been taunting Igbos with the outcome the election. Some are even calling igbos third class citizens while some are saying that igbos can never rule this country. Isn't that a hate speech?. Isn't that not enough to incite violence. Hate begot hate. Don't cry fowl for offense you known you are guilty off. That's also wrong. I'm not going to defend it. Winners should be graceful in their speeches. |

It is about stamping feet on the ground & saying enough. You are already doing it. You are doing it by your votes. Whether you know it or not, we are setting an example for the rest of the country. We are setting an example on how to behave in an humane way. Don't aspire to be like them. Let them aspire to be like us. Let us aspire to be like the best of a civilise society. Don't let's degrade ourself by fighting when it will be more effective to do it by vote. |

Yes, buhari doesn't know how to talk, he's helplessly uncouth! The consequences of his uncouthness is what you see today. It can only get worse because he is not even a bridge builder but highly divisive. You all called yourself different different kind of names on Nairaland. I've learnt not to take it serious. You can't compare it to the video that's going round right now. On Buhari, he failed to lead for the past four years but I'm hoping he will lead better for the sake of all of us in the next four years. |

0balufonlll: Good! We have been too docile in the west all in the name of wanting to be regarded as 'modern' & 'politically correct'. This docility & diplomacy keeps giving these Okoros more ropes. Things have to be curbed now! They tried it before, Awolowo's generation curbed them. They have slowly gathered momentum over the years & are making another attempt. They have to be stopped & this time, for good. Yorubas are never docile. They are wise. They are intelligent. They have a sense of wrong and right. Don't let sacrifice who we are on politicians. Politicians go and come but we must protect our values. Our value system attract the best but unfortunately it also attract the worst. We just must learn to balance it without forfeiting who we are. |

Gandollar: Was it not on international TV's that buhari called some people under his leadership 5%? Did he say it in the privacy of his bedroom?
Didn't it create an archive of distrust? Didn't exhibit a tool of tribal supremacy? Didn't it humiliate the weakest of that tribe? Didn't it taunt the easterners? Wasn't it a tool of mockery which you and your cohorts still explore till date?
When all these were happening, what did you do? Did you write this trash you are writing now?
Hate begets hate! You can't sow thorns and expect to real roses. Why haven't asked your elites the reason your region is so backward even though they have ruled more than any other tribe?
Keep masturbating, it's your call baby! Calling you 5% is not an hate speech. You indeed contributed 5% vote his government. Jonathan called you guys the pillars of his government. He indirectly accused others of not being his pillar. Buhari's issue is that he doesn't know how to speak |

People have a right to do whatever they want with their monies, cameras & social media pages. If it hurts you, that is your own problem. Not everyone has to live by your standards or pretend because you are sensitive.
The germaine things is, has the poster of the videos beoken any laws? No.
Stop being one of those emotional Nigerians. Live your life & focus on what you do not what others do.
Cheers. No wahala. The Northerners also have the rights to react but it may come by the standard you expect the Yorubas to react. |

Take a look at the signature of the first commentator and tell me if it makes sense. What Yaweh could he be referring to if I may ask?
They just dont realise what this public display and commendation of raw hate is doing to them. ALL BECAUSE A FELLOW NORTHERNER LOST AN ELECTION? It just couldn't be!! This is more about Peter Obi losing than it is Atiku losing!! I'm not surprised. Their reaction is still mild compare to 2015 but this time they are dealing with the Northerners who's values system is different from the westerners. |

I hear you. Right but the error has been committed. A northerner that will be born in the 20 years from now will get to see these. Even if Nigeria divides, does that mean you can't have a relationship with each other. |

Is there anything i am missing? Shuu? I'll tell you five reasons why it's hatred. 1. By posting it online, it becomes a tool of mockery. 2. By posting it online, you are taunting the Northerners. 3. By posting it online, you are humiliating the weakest of them. 4. By posting it online, you are exhibiting a tool of tribal supremacy. 5. By posting online, you have created an archive of distrust.
