In all honesty, it will be political suicide for him. The hatred Igbos has for APC no get part 2. |
Stingman:Yoruba are not holding anybody back. Are we in charge of your Governors, your state assemblies your local governments or your communities. Your battle out of Nigeria begins there. If you can't speak with one voice, how's that our business. Are we in charge of the Federal government? This should be the last time you begged the Yorubas to let you have your Biafra. Is Yoruba your God? That's laziness on your part. You want others to do the heavy lifting for you. You don't want to die for what you believe but you want Yorubas to die for what you believe. You are not yet ready. When we were fighting for June 12 did you support us? No you didn't. The Tinubu you all hated was on the forefront of it. Not Igbo leaders. |
El Rufai is bold. Question that he was supposed to jump over, he answered it. If not for Godfather would APC have won 2015 and 2019 election. If not for Buhari, would he have had any chance in the 2015 election. He's now forming voltron. Anyway to answer the question. Can one be a Governor without a godfather. You can but it takes time, money, skills, love and people. You need to start from ground zero. You need to understand human and party administration. Tinubu didn't begin his journey in 1999. He began long before then. So will anyone who doesn't want to go through the existing party structures. Tinubu earned where he is today so must they. |
Predator188:You are entitle to your opinion but it's what I observed. Igbos see money as a tool to control man. Which works most of the time. But the disadvantage is that it doesn't inspire loyalty. But Yoruba sees human as a tool to control money. What do I mean? A yoruba person will lift you up because of what he or she wants to get from you but an Igbo person will rather rather pays you enough to work for him. He won't pay you much for you to compete with him. He will pay you enough to work under him. While a yoruba person will fix you in a place so that you will see him or her as a saviour. |
The Ten major differences : 1. Igbos are not gifted in politics but Yorubas are. 2. Igbos have affinity for business but Yorubas don't. 3. Igbos are not natural administrator but Yorubas are. 4. Igbos have eyes to sight opportunity to make money but Yoruba don't. 5. Igbos values money than human but Yoruba values human than money. 6. Igbos demand respect for their wealth but Yoruba demand respect for their services. 7. Igbos are blunt but Yorubas are diplomatic. 8. Igbos are open book but Yorubas are deceptive. 9. Igbos have strength but Yoruba have skills. 10. Igbos are emotional but Yoruba are pragmatic. |
Chinablack:I hope you know you that there's a different between shop and market, so which market did Igbos buy with their hard earn money in Lagos? |
teufelein:Olorun a ba ti e je. Welcome to the politics of the West. |
Chinablack:I know you are not interested in just doing business. You are also interested in power. I'm only explaining to those who don't know that what happening and what will happen between Igbos and Yoruba is because of power. The power over Lagos. Your hunger for power is stirring the hornet nest. So I wish you best of luck in your struggle. |
Chinablack:What's repressive about it? I'll list 5 benefits of that system of government that I saw with my eyes. I was managing a shop that deals with costume jewelries. 1. There was a time we had issues of electricity in Tejuosho, we reported to Iyaoloja, who on our behalf fight for us and within 48 hrs the issue was a resolved. 2. We also had issues of area boys coming to task us and our customers, we reported to Iyaoloja that we are already paying tax so why should we should we pay extra to the area boys. That same week Iyaoloja brought police to arrest them. 3. We had issues of payment of toilet facilities. We are like how can we be paying for toilet facilities when we are already paying for rent. And they explained that if there was no charges, the toilet facilities will be misused. They were still on that issue till I left there. 4. There are other categories of traders who don't have standard shop but space, they complained the money they are paying for space is too much. In my present the money payed was reduced. 5. We had issues of traders fighting each other and constituting nuisance in the market space. They were reported and their shops were locked up till they pay the require fine. So why are Igbos not contented with these? |
Amumaigwe:I can't see the post you reply. |
PrecisionFx:I meant the state and the national assembly that was held the same day as the gubernatorial and the presidential election. |
teufelein:So this method that's best for Igbos is not applied in the land controlled by people who spoke your language, came out of your village and elected by your people but you have the audacity to make that request in a land controlled by people who don't speak your language, didn't come out of villages or are elected by you. Can you see how entitled you are? |
Amumaigwe:Do you know that there Yorubas who are more of PDP or neutral than there are of Igbos who are of APC or neutrals but we don't get to hear them because your voice is louder than their's. Is Igbos the only tribe in Lagos? Why can't you leave the politics of Lagos alone? |
teufelein:What is the right method for the Igbos? You know charity begins at home, so I'm expecting that the right method should have began in the Southeast. |
PrecisionFx:Not true. You are interested in power that's why you claimed Lagos is no man land. That's why you contested for seats in the national and gubernatorial election. That's why you are fighting the Iyaoloja system of government. You have make yourself an opposition in Lagos. It's sole reason for the clash of the Yorubas and Igbos. Rather than PDP, it's Igbos that are attacking Tinubu. No matter how bad Tinubu is, Yoruba will continually choose him because he has the interest of the Yorubas at heart while you don't. |
teufelein:So your definition of greedy is paying tax to government. Is there anywhere in the world that they don't pay tax? Is it only Igbos that are being tax? |
fx45:I've always been wondering how come there have never being a major physical clash between the Igbos and the Yorubas but there have been clashes between Yorubas and Hausas despite the Hausas never being daring as the Igbos are with their speeches. Yesterday I discovered why. Despite how you make mouth online, you can't do it out there in the real world because of those area boys. Just continue making mouth online. |
Shikini:How much is the money you are being tasked. The last time I worked in a market, it was 100 naira per month. Is it too much to pay as a tax? |
PrecisionFx:But how come other tribes are not complaining of Yoruba being high handed. Igbos are making themselves an open target in a place that they are not majority. Immediately you become a majority, you will be cut down because you are interested in power to further your interest and not the interest of the Yorubas. It will be stupidity on the part of Yorubas to give you that room knowing how critical Lagos is if Nigeria divides. |
I've once managed a shop at Tejuosho market, so I've had direct experience on the politics that takes place in a market. The Iyaolaja of a market is appointed but I discovered that they don't work alone and cannot take decision without the representatives of each section that makes up a market. And I discovered that the representatives of those sections are not necessarily Yorubas and they are selected by the members of each section. Let me break it down. In Tejuosho, there are the art and craft section and the gold sellers section.... this section is dominated by the Northerners. We have the cotton sellers, the rug sellers and the clothsellers..... The section is dominated by the Igbos. There is no how a Yoruba person will be chosen as their representative in the council of the Iyaolaja. But what I observe is that the Igbos have issue with it a Yoruba leading the market. They want to lead themselves. And that's my issue with them. In doing that, they are being disrespectful to the norms, tradition and value of the people. They can't blend into their environment. They want to change the laws and tradition of other people because they are majority. That's unfair. |
Who's Femi Fani Kayode? Has he ever won any election in his life? On who's behalf is he speaking on? I'm asking because when he cough, a thread will be open. Not only open o, it will be push it to the front page. |
teufelein:Oga, nobody will fight for anything on your behalf. If you want out of this country, you will sit down and strategise. If I'm Kanu this is what I'll do. 1. I'll support men who believes in Biafra to contest at the local and state level. 2. If I can't win a local government talkless of a state government, then I don't have the backing of the people. 3. If my people can't vote for people who believes in my dream then I'm not qualify to call myself a leader. 4. I'm not qualify to talk on behalf of my people. 5. People like Tinubu or Obasanjo will not fight on my behalf if I don't have the legal backing of my people. |
That's called Politics at its finest . You want people to vote for you, you are not ready to soak up yourself in their culture, their values and their belief system. Tinubu becoming President will be like magic to some of you. |
teufelein:No wonder! If I had known, I go don waka pass. |
So because a Fulani man threatened you, it's over for you. I'm now respecting the Northerner. They have perfected the psychological warfare. They should even cancel the election since you are all cowards. |
OP, you are becoming a nuisance on this platform. I've been observing you since last election. Shebi you are based in Germany, so what's your problem? If you truly love this country or you think you can do better than those who are there, contest starting from your village. |
Esseite:But you want APC to zone it's presidential ticket to Northeast and Southeast, the same as PDP and put the Southwest in a balance that cannot be determine using your words. |
Op, ask yourself this question, how come PDP didn't zone it's Vice-presidential ticket to the Southwest in 2019 despite PDP being strong in the Southwest? |
When APC finally zone the presidential ticket to Southwest, they should give it to Tinubu. He's their best option. Any other candidate from the Southwest will never ever be respected. They will say it's Tinubu's boy. Forget his flaws,it's still minute compare to his asset. |
FortuneDeGreat:My point exactly. Those making noise are in opposition. They want to scatter APC by playing divide and rule tactics. |
FortuneDeGreat:Then the question you have to ask yourself is can any Northerner be President under APC without the southwest? So I say bullshit to all their threat. How come they are not targeting Buhari who also supported Lawan? |
The problem is not leadership but the people that are being led. A governor didn't perform and he still won his re-election convincingly. He didn't win with a little margin but with a large margin. So excuse me for not buying into your idea. |
