Foreign AffairsSebastian 31 Years Old Elect Ed As President Of Austria by luvola(op): 6:25pm On Apr 02, 2018
*He is 31 years old*
Austria on December 18, 2017 made history by electing the world's youngest president who is 31 years old.
His name is Sebastian Kurz, he is just 31 years old.
Before today's election, he was the country's foreign minister.
While our youths are contented with being used, praise singers and Special assistants on social media in Africa, youths elsewhere are disrupting the status quo, pushing for innovation, changing the narrative and pushing for the new frontier.
From Facebook to Snapchat and Taxify, these tech giants were founded by millennials who are youths.
Mark Zukerberg is just 32 years old and the youngest billionaire in the world.
The bar has been raised in Austria that elected a 31 years old man as its leader.
A 31 years old man in Africa is probably in his parents' house, unemployed and broke, eating free food and not bothered.
The 31 old Africans are feeling big supporting politicians (who directly or indirectly put us in the mess we are in) on Facebook without seeing the nexus between the failed leadership and present unemployment predicament.
I weep for our youths many of whom are wasting away forgetting that time waits for no one.
The condition in Africa is not helping matters though, and then my generation is not ready to push for change.
Those who have bank jobs think they are on top of the world, forgetting that the owners of the banks were Billionaires at their age.
The women get married and drive their husband's cars and think they have arrived.
I ask myself and other young people reading this, what are you doing with your life?
Are you happy with the way you are at the moment?
What are you doing to push for true change?
*I wish you a Thought Provoking New Month*

*Pls share with the youths including your children.*

SportsJurden Kloop 's Calls For Anfield Intensity Against Manchester Xity by luvola(op): 11:19am On Apr 01, 2018
Jürgen Klopp’s call for Anfield intensity against City has rich heritage
Both the German and Pep Guardiola are likely to be adventurous in a Champions League quarter-final that will revive Liverpool memories of great European battles of the past
Sat 31 Mar 2018 20.00 BST
T imes have certainly changed since the September night in 1978 when Nottingham Forest’s team coach rolled up late to a European Cup tie at Liverpool with Bill Shankly sat up front alongside Brian Clough. The players who usurped
Liverpool as European champions that season never asked Clough why he invited the Anfield icon on board, though suspected it was part of their manager’s attempts to defuse the tension and animosity that surrounded the visit to Bob Paisley’s holders. All-English European ties have tended to carry a similar edge ever since. Anfield on Wednesday will be no exception.
Within minutes of arguably the Premier League’s two most exhilarating teams being drawn together in the Champions League quarter-finals, a call went out on social media for Liverpool fans to give Manchester City the kind of pyrotechnic, frenzied “welcome” that accompanied the team’s pursuit of the 2014 title and
2016 Europa League . City, mindful of previous hostile receptions for their players and supporters, raised safety concerns with Liverpool and Merseyside police, who have warned of prosecution for anyone found guilty of “dangerous and reckless” behaviour. The warning will not dilute the atmosphere inside the stadium, however, and caution is unlikely to enter the philosophy of Jürgen Klopp or Pep Guardiola as they renew a rivalry that can only intensify on the Champions League stage.
There exists a healthy respect between the former managers of Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich. Klopp, talking before Liverpool’s last-16 rout in Porto, described City as “probably the strongest team in Europe at the minute” and their manager as the perfect fit for a club that crave success with fluent, offensive football. Guardiola, despite the disappointment of seeing City’s unbeaten Premier League campaign ending at Anfield in January, was genuine in his praise of the pressing game from Liverpool that ensured “we lost a little bit of our control”. Anfield can do that to opponents, especially in Europe, as Clough recognised 40 years ago.
“He wanted us to walk in front of the Kop,” recalls Garry Birtles of Forest’s pre-match routine for the European Cup first round, second leg at Anfield. The team coach, Shankly up top, had arrived only half an hour before kick-off. “Anfield was the most hostile place I’d ever been but Clough insisted on it. He sent us out there to make it clear we respected them but it was effectively us saying: ‘You can sing You’ll Never Walk Alone until you are hoarse but it won’t make any difference.’
“Liverpool’s fans despised us. The sight of us strolling around laughing and joking riled them. They were booing us, throwing oranges and everything they could get their hands on. A tennis ball came on the pitch. John Robertson flicked it up, volleyed it and stuck it in the top corner of the net. All of a sudden the mood changed and the Kop started to applaud.”
A goalless second leg sent England’s champions through at the expense of the then European champions Liverpool, following a 2-0 first leg win at the City Ground. Birtles opened the scoring in the home tie, his first Forest goal, and created the second in the 87th minute for Colin Barrett.
It is the ferocity on the pitch that Birtles remembers most. The former striker, who admits to having “two or three pints” the night before the first leg, says: “At 1-0, Phil Thompson ran past me and said: ‘One won’t be enough.’ He almost spat out the words.” After Barrett’s volley Birtles retorted: “One not enough, Phil? Will two do us then?’ There was no way I should have been doing that to a seasoned England international. His face was like thunder. I must have been mad, especially with [Graeme] Souness in their team.”
The song that starts “We hate Nottingham Forest” echoes from the Kop to this day. Similarly, contempt between Liverpool and Chelsea increased when they opposed each other 10 times in the Champions League between April 2005 and 2009. Relations between Liverpool and City are civil by comparison to the rivalry that shattered the cordiality between Rafael Benítez and José Mourinho, although the quarter-final does have parallels with the volatile opening act of their European saga. Not tactically, of course.
As with the Champions League semi-final of 2005, Liverpool’s opponents are cruising towards a manager’s first Premier League title. It was City who denied Klopp a first and early piece of silverware at Liverpool in
the 2016 League Cup final , just as Chelsea did to Benítez in the same competition in 2005.
The German coach believes there would be a different view of his reign, or more specifically the nagging doubt about his team, had they prevailed on penalties at Wembley or against Sevilla in that year’s Europa League final. “In this moment it’s always: ‘Liverpool are good but …’ We know that,” he said recently. “If we had won the two finals we played in my first season here everything would have settled on another level. It would have helped massively.”
A Champions League triumph would be ample compensation, as Benítez can testify. Beating the English champions-elect along the way would also strengthen Klopp’s argument that City can be eventually reeled in over a domestic campaign as well as a cup tie. For Guardiola, it is the perfect opportunity to demonstrate otherwise.
Reflecting on that first semi-final victory over Mourinho’s side in an autobiography, Steven Gerrard said a desire for revenge flowed through a Liverpool team who “had so much unfinished business with Chelsea”. He also attributed the unforgettable, spine-tingling atmosphere of the second leg at Anfield not only to his club’s desperate longing for a first European Cup final in 20 years but to the changing landscape of English football. “Kopites wanted us to remind Roman Abramovich that money isn’t everything,” Gerrard said. “They saw the match as a collision of new money and history, Billionaire’s Club v Community Club.”
Liverpool are hardly paupers, with the world’s most expensive defender at the heart of Klopp’s back-line, the £75m Virgil van Dijk; but having been frustrated in their pursuit of a 19th league title by Abramovich’s wealth and then that of Sheikh Mansour, among other factors, a desire to bridge the financial gap will again be at work on Wednesday. Not that any extra motivation is required.

European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga)EPL : Crystal Palace vs Liverpool On March 31 , 2018 At 1:45 Pm by luvola(op): 11:53am On Mar 30, 2018
Palace have lost all 10 of their Premier League matches this season without Zaha in the starting line-up.

But the winger is a doubt with a knee injury and Palace are set to make a decision on his involvement on Friday.

"We've had to be very cautious after the Huddersfield game as he came back from injury much earlier than he should have done," said manager Roy Hodgson.

Palace boosted their survival hopes with a 2-0 win at Huddersfield last time out. However, they are still only two points above the relegation zone with seven games left to play.
Crystal Palace boss Roy Hodgson revealed Wilfried Zaha has not trained fully and is a doubt to feature against Liverpool

Liverpool are third in the table and could move up a place with victory as Manchester United are not in action until Saturday afternoon.

They beat Watford 5-0 in their last match before the international break and have the first leg of their Champions League quarter-final against Manchester City to look forward to next Tuesday.
Team news

Jeffrey Schlupp is out for Palace due to an ankle injury while Hodgson will check on James Tomkins and Alexander Sorloth (hamstring).

Liverpool will be without midfielder Emre Can (back) and defender Joe Gomez (ankle).
Emre Can is unavailable for Liverpool
Emre Can is unavailable for Liverpool

Dominic Solanke and Andy Robertson should be available despite suffering minor issues while representing their countries. Nathaniel Clyne could also return to the squad.
Opta stats

Since a 3-1 win in the Premier League in November 2014, Crystal Palace have lost each of their last three home meetings with Liverpool in all competitions.

The Reds haven't completed a Premier League double over Palace since the 1997-98 campaign when they were managed by Roy Evans.
Christian Benteke says he will use his omission from Belgium's squad as extra motivation in Crystal Palace's survival efforts

The Eagles have conceded the first goal in 20 different Premier League games this season, more than any other side. However, they've come back to gain 12 points from these games (W3 D3 L14) - only Bournemouth (15) and Everton (13) have gained more.

Christian Benteke has scored six goals in eight Premier League appearances against Liverpool, only three fewer than he managed in 29 league games for the Reds in the 2015-16 season.
Watch a preview of Saturday's Premier League games including Crystal Palace v Liverpool

This will be Jurgen Klopp's 100th Premier League game as a manager (W53 D28 L18); Klopp's 99 games so far have seen 322 goals (F206 A116) - only Manuel Pellegrini's first 100 games in the competition saw more (329).

Roy Hodgson has won three of his last five Premier League encounters with Liverpool (D1 L1), winning the most recent game 1-0 at Anfield as West Brom manager in April 2012.
Merson's prediction

Mo Salah - that is it. I just don't know how you stop him because for me, he is the best in the world without the ball and when he has got it, he's very good as well so I just don't know how Crystal Palace can stop him. They had a great result last time out, they needed to win against Huddersfield and with Wilfried Zaha back, they look like a better team but at the back, I just don't think they'll be able to cope with Liverpool. They will win this game quite easily.

Defeat at Old Trafford last week saw Liverpool fall down to fourth place.
But Jurgen Klopp's men will be looking to get their bid to finish in second back on track with a win over Watford this evening.
Three points would see the Reds move above Tottenham into third and two points behind Manchester United.
Watford, who were comfortably beaten by Arsenal last weekend, are winless in their last eight Premier League away games.
Can Javi Graci's men upset the odds with their first win at Anfield since 1999 - or will the hosts extend their unbeaten home record to 18 games?
Follow all the action as it happens, right here.
Klopp already has his sights set on City
Watford await Liverpool today - but Manchester City are already firmly in sight for the Reds.
Jurgen Klopp is ready to share with the world his masterplan for beating Champions League favourites City.
For the Liverpool manager, the key is intensity. “Two very intense games. If they are not intense from our point of view we have no chance.”
Klopp knows what he is talking about. Encouragingly for Reds fans, he has won more times against Pep Guardiola than any other manager. He also has a seriously impressive winning record against City.
The German coach knows that only Liverpool at their vibrant, aggressive, energetic best can defeat the team the bookmakers have installed as overwhelming favourites to lift the trophy in Kiev on May 26.
(Image: REUTERS/Pierre Albouy)
He has done it before against Guardiola, winning more in head to heads with the Spanish manager... even though he was in charge of the mighty Bayern Munich.
Perhaps his biggest victory came in the Super Cup in 2014 when Dortmund won 2-0, but his most memorable was in January at Anfield, when Liverpool recorded a 4-3 win in one of the Premier League’s greatest-ever contests.
And Klopp revealed his blueprint for the quarter-final showdown with the English Champions-elect, when he said: “If we can put our specific, style, philosophy and mix it up with our attitude and stuff like this, being brave, then there is something in it for us.
(Image: REUTERS)
“I love these games. They are fantastic for me and you know if you play City they do what they do at the highest level. They don’t defend the result, they go again. It’s cool. For sure the first one will be a really exciting game to watch.”
Klopp’s record against Guardiola and City is enough to make the Blues fearful of the first leg of the quarter-final clash on April 4.

Team news

With the tie already won and a testing Premier League trip to Old Trafford on the horizon, Jurgen Klopp may be tempted to rest some key men here.

Georginio Wijnaldum and Ben Woodburn both missed Saturday's 2-0 win over Newcastle with illness but could make an appearance, along with Nathaniel Clyne and Adam Lallana.

For the visitors, Tiquinho Soares, Moussa Marega and Alex Telles could all miss out after not featuring in Porto's 2-1 win over Sporting Club on Friday night.
Goals galore

The Reds are the top scorers in the Champions League this season with 28 goals - including 25 in their last five fixtures - and can be backed at 13/8 (2.63) with bet365 to score more than two goals in this game.

Liverpool v Porto Betting Preview

bet365 also offer 9/2 (5.50) that the men from Merseyside again find the net on at least four occasions against the Portuguese champions.

Porto have netted 15 times in their four games since the first leg of this tie so the price of 13/8 (2.63) that there are at least four goals scored appeals.

You don't need to make a wish for an opposing team against this Monstrous Guardiola Team.

They Rape your defense with Passes, Dominate your Midfield, Make your players mark till Full time and Score the minute you make one single mistake.

Guardiola's Theory is simple:

Always keep possession of the Ball and all opponents will bow at thy feet..
The only way to win manchester city is to adopt Liverpool theory propounded by kloop. high pressing game. press them high on the pitch. go all out attack and force them to make mistakes. u have press them high.

Liverpool welcome Newcastle United to Anfield on Saturday and they will be hoping to leapfrog Manchester United into second place with a win.
Jurgen Klopp's side are just two points behind the Red Devils, who are not in action until Monday evening, and they come into the game on the back of a three-game winning streak.
Newcastle, meanwhile, are in the bottom half of the table, but Rafa Benitez's side have started to pick up points in recent weeks, including a win over Man United.

Match Preview
When Liverpool met Newcastle at St James' Park back in October, Philippe Coutinho was their star man and got their goal in what finished a 1-1 draw. The result saw them drop to seventh.
A lot has changed since then. Coutinho left for Barcelona in a €160 million move and, as the Reds fight to ensure that they finish second in the table, Klopp believes they are a better team.
"I'm really happy with the reaction from the boys, they've stepped up," the German coach said . "We wanted to keep Phil, he decided differently and I am happy that it has worked quite well so far."
Indeed, the form of Mohamed Salah in particular has been a massive positive for Liverpool and he has been ably supported by Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane.
As he prepares to return to his former stomping ground, Newcastle boss Benitez is aware of the magnitude of the task that awaits his side.
"It's not just him (Salah), Roberto Firmino, Sadio Mane, anyone can be a threat," said the Spanish coach.
"They have pace, energy, not just him. We have to try to control everyone with concentration and intensity."

though i have been also been able to bring nairalanders into the organization too, i was also the one acting as the HR officer, so i was told to place an advert for some post and also shortlist applicants, and to God be the glory, nairalanders too have benefited from me as i also did via nairaland and debbie.

Pogba reportedly had to end today’s training session early after suffering a gashed leg and faces a lat fitness test tomorrow morning.

But Marouane Fellaini is back in contention and could come in for Pogba in midfield should the Frenchman be ruled out.

Fellaini been sidelined since January 31 with a knee complaint but United manager Jose Mourinho confirmed the Belgian is available this weekend.

Veteran striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic is training and centre-back Eric Bailly is fully fit.

However, Ander Herrera, Marcos Rojo, Anthony Martial, Phil Jones and Daley Blind remain absent for the Old Trafford encounter.

Jordan Henderson, Andrew Robertson and Georginio Wijnaldum are all available for Liverpool's trip to Manchester United.

Henderson has trained after suffering a dead leg against Porto on Tuesday, as have Robertson (knock) and Wijnaldum (illness), both of whom missed that Champions League game.
Nathaniel Clyne (back) is still lacking match fitness and will not be considered yet as manager Jurgen Klopp is happy with his options at right-back.

Liverpool will be hoping to distance themselves from a reasonably worrying theme so far this season, which has seen them fall at a number of hurdles following euphoric victories, when they welcome West Ham United to Anfield on Saturday.

In the immediate fixture after wins over Arsenal and Manchester City, and their 7-0 thrashing of Maribor, Jurgen Klopp's outfit came unstuck against the Citizens, Swansea City and Tottenham Hotspur respectively, as well as being dumped out of the FA Cup by West Bromwich Albion.

The Kopites will be hoping history does not repeat itself once again this weekend in the fallout of their 5-0 hammering of Porto in the last-16 of the Champions League, however, will be mindful of the Hammers' impressive record on Merseyside.

David Moyes will lead a team who will be looking to extend their current three-game unbeaten run at Anfield - two draws and one win - as well as one who have tasted just one defeat in their past eight top-flight outings, although the Scot has never claimed victory over Liverpool himself.

So, ahead of this weekend's showdown, let's take a look at all you need to know...

Classic Encounter

West Ham United 1-4 Liverpool (November 2017)

While the contest itself may not be one fondly remembered by the Irons faithful, it did mark the beginning of a new chapter at the London Stadium as it marked the moment former boss Slaven Bilic endured his final 90 minutes as Hammers manager.

Two goals within three minutes of one another for the visitors, courtesy of Mohamed Salah and Joel Matip, afforded the Reds a comfortable cushion before the midway point of the first-half.However, West Ham pulled themselves back into the contest shortly after the break through Manuel Lanzini.

Considering Liverpool's shaky defense, the west London outfit were then well and truly back in the game, for all of one minute, as Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain restored his side's two-goal buffer before Salah hammered the final nail in Bilic's coffin quarter of an hour before the end.

Key Battle

Mohamed Salah vs Angelo Ogbonna

Although West Ham have managed to leave Anfield with at least a point or a replay from their last three trips, they have not had to contend with the sheer attacking pornography of Salah.

That task will likely fall upon the shoulders of Hammers center back Angelo Ogbonna, along with the remainder of his defense, who has featured in 22 of the west Londoners' 27 Premier League outings so far this term.

Despite that including trips to Manchester City, Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur, the blistering pace and immense technical skill Klopp's outfit possess is arguably on a different scale to anything else in the top-flight.

Therefore, if West Ham are going to be able to prise anything away from the North West this weekend, stopping Salah must be the priority.

Team News

Following their warm-weather training camp in Marbella, Klopp has almost a full armory to choose from ahead of West Ham's visit, with defender Nathaniel Clyne the only unavailability, although the Englishman has returned to full training.

Moyes, meanwhile, should be able to welcome back Lanzini into his matchday squad for the first time in around a month after the attacker suffered a hamstring injury earlier this year.

Center back Winston Reid will also be in contention after a throat infection kept him out of the win over Watford two weeks ago. However, Andy Carroll, Pedro Obiang and Edimilson Fernandes are still injured, Arthur Masuaku is suspended, and Jose Fonte sealed his move to China on Friday.

Prediction

Although West Ham have a solid record in recent years at Anfield, and Liverpool, following emphatic victories, are sometimes guilty of taking their foot off the gas, there only seems to be one winner in this one.

The attacking prowess of the Merseysiders should be too much for the Londoners to handle and, in the end, it could turn out to be a comfortable afternoon for the Kopites.

Score Prediction: Liverpool 3-0 West Ham United

Zinedine Zidane's once-fearsome side take on the French giants who are eager for continental glory to match their spending
Real Madrid continue their quest for three Champions League titles in succession when they host Paris Saint-Germain in the first leg of their last-16 tie on Valentine's Day.
Zinedine Zidane's men swept all before them last season, but they have struggled for large portions of the current campaign and their La Liga performance in particular has been disappointing.
Nevertheless, having made history by defending the Champions League last year, they remain determined about their chances of clinching a historic third, but they must overcome Unai Emery's formidable French outfit first.
RELATED
PSG topped their group with ease, finishing first ahead of Bayern Munich, and they will be keen to make a statement to the rest of the continent by deposing the reigning champions.

Areola; Yuri, Silva, Marquinhos, Alves; Verratti, Rabiot, Di Maria; Neymar, Mbappe, Cavani.

Match Preview
Real Madrid may have won five titles in 2017 and back-to-back Champions Leagues, but they have looked a shadow of their former selves throughout the 2017-18 season.
Los Blancos are 17 points behind bitter rivals Barcelona in La Liga and they were recently eliminated from the Copa del Rey by Leganes at the quarter-final stage. They have looked somewhat better in Europe, but even so, they had to settle for a second-place finish in Group H.
Despite that, Zidane is adamant that his charges have what it takes to win the Champions League for the third time in as many seasons and it is felt that the achievement of such a feat will absolve the team of their poor domestic displays.
However, in order to do that, they will have to overcome a PSG side that now features Neymar, the €222 million man who tormented them during his time at Barcelona. The Ligue 1 giants scored the most goals in the group stage, accumulating 25 strikes in six matches - including a 3-0 win over Bayern Munich - and they are thirsty for continental glory.
Knocking the crown off Madrid would instil even more belief in the Parisiens that they have what it takes to go on and clinch the top prize in European football, and they will be keen to put their best foot forward at the Bernabeu.

Jurgen Klopp's side are away from home in the first leg of their knock-out stage encounter with the Portuguese giants
Liverpool make the trip to Portugal for the first leg of their Champions League last-16 tie against Porto on Valentine's Day.
Having been ejected from the FA Cup last month and being that they are unlikely to win the Premier League, the tournament is the Reds' only realistic hope of winning silverware this season.
While they may be considered outside bets for the title, Jurgen Klopp's men boast a forward line that bagged 23 goals in the group stage — second only to Paris Saint-Germain — and they are not to be trifled with.

Porto stand in the way of the Merseyside outfit though and they will be aiming to establish an advantage that they can bring back to Anfield for the second leg next month.

Match Preview
Liverpool finished top of Group E, emerging unbeaten after games against Sevilla, Spartak Moscow and Maribor. However, while they scored plenty of goals, they also demonstrated a weak underbelly, something that was perfectly encapsulated when they forfeited a 3-0 lead away to Sevilla to draw 3-3.
There have been some changes in personnel since then though, with Philippe Coutinho departing for Barcelona and Virgil van Dijk arriving from Southampton to strengthen a flimsy defence.
Losing Coutinho is undoubtedly a blow, but Klopp will hope that Van Dijk's presence in the backline can go some way towards eradicating the kind of errors that left them feeling equally incensed and embarrassed earlier in the season.
With the colossal Netherlands international marshalling the defence and the likes of Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino in top form, Liverpool will be confident about their chances of landing an early blow on their hosts on Wednesday.
However, they will need to be wary of the Primeira Liga leaders, who found a second wind in the second half of the group stage to secure crucial victories over RB Leipzig and Monaco.

Juve have not conceded a goal this year
Pochettino: "We cannot change our principles"
Follow live build-up to the game right here
How to watch the game where you are
Reporter's view : After leaking too many goals – at least by their own lofty standards –earlier in the season, Juve have rediscovered their defensive solidity and conceded only once in their last 16 games in all competitions. Keeping a clean sheet here could be crucial, but it will not be easy to keep Harry Kane and Tottenham at bay, especially without Blaise Matuidi's energy and pressing in midfield.
Possible line-ups
Juventus: Buffon; De Sciglio, Benatia, Chiellini, Alex Sandro; Khedira, Pjanić, Sturaro; Douglas Costa, Higuaín, Mandžukić
Out: Cuadrado (groin), Matuidi (thigh), Höwedes (thigh), Dybala (thigh), Barzagli (calf), Lichtsteiner (thigh)
Misses next match if booked : Pjanić
Added to squad since group stage: Lichtsteiner
Tottenham : Lloris; Trippier, Sánchez, Vertonghen; Son, Dembélé, Dier, Davies; Eriksen, Alli; Kane
Out: Alderweireld (fitness)
Doubtful : none
Misses next match if booked : Aurier
Added to squad since group stage: Lamela, Lucas Moura

Massimiliano Allegri, Juventus coach
We have to play with intelligence and technique and try not to concede, though I would not settle for a 0-0. We know their strengths and we know we will have to suffer at times because Tottenham have four players with great quality in attack. We will have to play very well technically because they would beat us in a physical battle. We need to pay great attention because it's unlikely one team dominates this kind of tie.
Mauricio Pochettino, Tottenham manager
It's impossible to compare our history with Juventus's – they have reached the final twice in the last three years. But we have a good plan and we want to reach their level. Tomorrow we will see if we can compete. We will have to play with motivation, energy and desire. We cannot change our principles. We will have to be aggressive, brave, and to respect our opponents. When I started playing I dreamt of being involved in games like this.
