Liverpool
Liverpool midfielder Adam Lallana remains a doubt for Monday's visit of Manchester United.
The England international sustained a groin strain in the win at Swansea just before the international break and his availability is still to be determined.

Fellow midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum returned from Holland duty with a hip problem although neither he nor Lallana have yet been ruled out, while defenders Nathaniel Clyne and Dejan Lovren, who both withdrew from their respective international squads with injuries, are fit.
Provisional squad: Karius, Clyne, Lovren, Matip, Milner, Henderson, Can, Wijnaldum, Mane, Firmino, Coutinho, Mignolet, Klavan, Moreno, Lucas, Grujic, Origi, Sturridge, Ings, Ejaria.

Manchester United
Jose Mourinho will have both Luke Shaw and Henrikh Mkhitaryan available for Manchester United's trip to Liverpool on Monday night.
Left-back Shaw has missed United's previous four fixtures with a groin strain while a thigh problem has kept Mkhitaryan sidelined since the Manchester derby on September 10.

Defender Phil Jones (knee) is the only definite absentee while England captain Wayne Rooney, dropped from the Three Lions' starting line-up in midweek, may have to make do with a fourth successive game among United's replacements.
Provisional squad: De Gea, Romero, Valencia, Darmian, Fosu-Mensah, Bailly, Blind, Rojo, Smalling, Shaw, Carrick, Fellaini, Herrera, Mata, Depay, Pogba, Schneiderlin, Young, Mkhitaryan, Lingard, Rooney, Ibrahimovic, Martial, Rashford.

A struggling Swansea welcome an in-form Liverpool side to the Liberty Stadium this Saturday in the Premier League.
Liverpool’s performances in recent weeks have garnered talks of a possible title tilt and the Reds are coming into this clash fresh off a 5-1 victory over Hull last weekend.
Swansea on the other hand have yet to win this season and are looking to avoid a third defeat in a row.
It’s a big game for…
Francesco Guidolin and Jurgen Klopp.
Two bosses who could not be in more polar opposite situations at their respective clubs.
Jurgen Klopp will be desperate to continue the momentum currently building on Merseyside with another victory away from home, while Guidolin is on the verge of dismissal at Swansea.
Swansea have their lowest ever points tally after six games in the top-flight and are on the cusp on losing three consecutive league games.
Guidolin has already admitted a defeat could mean his head rolls before the end of the weekend while Klopp is trying to manage expectations at Liverpool by batting away title talk.
Neither men will be happy with a loss, but Guidolin would bite Klopp’s hand off for a draw.
Likely line-up…
The return of Dejan Lovren to the starting line-up should be the only change to an almost nailed on Liverpool eleven.
Daniel Sturridge will most likely continue his stint on the bench with a front three of Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino and Philippe Coutinho virtually undroppable at the moment with the amount of goals they have plundered so far.
Divock Origi is an injury concern for the Reds and is set to be assessed before the game.
For Swansea, they could be without defender Federico Fernandez who picked up a minor knock against Manchester City last time out with Nathan Dyer also remaining on the sidelines.
If you memorise one stat…
Liverpool have scored 71 goals under Klopp since his arrival in October and no side has found the net more than the Reds away from home since the start of 2016.
Klopp’s side are level with Tottenham with 26 goals and have already gotten 16 league goals so far this season.
Last time they met…
Swansea may be on a desperate run at the moment, but they embarrassed Liverpool last time they met in May.
A 3-1 win against an inexperienced Liverpool eleven marked down one of the worst days in Klopp’s reign so far.
The now departed Andre Ayew got two goals in a 3-1 win and Swansea will be hoping for more of the same despite facing a significantly stronger Reds side.
From the archives
What a game this was. Only four years ago, but it was a real classic when Liverpool welcomed Swansea to Anfield on February 23.
Liverpool raced into a two goal lead before conceding two in quick succession and the first half wasn’t even over at that stage.
Daniel Sturridge put the Reds 3-2 up before a penalty just after half-time by Wilfried Bony got Swansea back on level terms again.
Jordan Henderson then popped up with his second of the game 15 minutes from time to steal all three points and decide a thrilling encounter.
Metro.co.uk prediction…
Swansea are in a dire situation at the moment while Liverpool seem to be just going from strength to strength.
The playing style of the Swans should allow Liverpool to get at their opponent’s defence and we cannot see anything but a win for the Reds.
And a heavy win at that.
Swansea 1-4 Liverpool
Vote…
Who will win?

Jurgen Klopp has appealed to Liverpool’s supporters to treat Hull City like Borussia Dortmund at Anfield on Saturday.
Klopp’s side have shown an ability to produce impressive performances on big occasions during his tenure, but have also fallen in matches against supposedly lesser opposition.
Back in April, Liverpool completed a memorable comeback from two goals down to knock Dortmund out of the Europa League, while this season, they have beaten both Arsenal and Chelsea away from home.
Yet their one defeat so far this term came against a Burnley team just promoted from the Championship, who had only 19 per cent of possession on their way to a 2-0 victory.
Hull, like Burnley, are widely expected to struggle this season, and have slipped into the bottom half of the table after winning their opening two fixtures.
However, Mike Phelan’s team have produced some resolute performances, and Klopp is concerned that anxiety from the stands could spread to the players if Liverpool fail to score early.
He said: “We all know that when you play at home at 3pm, it is so different to a Thursday night against Dortmund in Europe. Is it only because it is afternoon and not night? I don’t know.
“You can hear it in the stadium. If you miss a chance in a big game, it’s like: Go again. If you miss a chance in another game, it’s like: Oh my God. Not the same rubbish again.
 Chelsea vs Liverpool player ratings
“If you miss a chance, you stay patient. You don’t lose your nerve and start shooting from 45 yards.
“You don’t win all these games five or six-nil. Neither do Real Madrid and Barcelona.”
Klopp’s point is that he feels players have less leeway to miss chances against lower-profile teams, meaning that any slip-ups in those games are more likely to increase nervousness in the stands.
He added that expecting to win by right against teams such as Hull is a kind of complacency that can be counter-productive.
“I think we all can improve: the team, coaches, manager and the crowd,” Klopp said. “If you create chances against Chelsea, it’s positive. If you miss, it’s still positive, because you have almost scored against Chelsea. If you miss a chance against Burnley, it’s seen as negative.
“That’s what we have to learn. No football game is easy. Can we create a special atmosphere at 3pm at Anfield on Saturday? I would say yes.
Jurgen Klopp refuses to answer question from Sun journalist
“Two things are important: The crowd and the team. I would like to see everybody with the right attitude, and not be disappointed if we miss a chance after 10 minutes. It is not easier against Hull. Why should it be easier?”
Klopp suggested that he has yet to tell Loris Karius or Simon Mignolet which of them will play in goal against Hull.Karius, widely expected to be the first choice this season following a £4.7m move from Mainz in May, has only just returned to fitness after breaking a finger in July.
He made his debut on Tuesday as Liverpool won 3-0 at Derby County in the EFL Cup, but Klopp was coy when asked how far in advance he would inform them who was playing this weekend.“Early enough,” he said.
“Before the game, that’s for sure. We have two very strong goalkeepers and we think about how they can perform and how their specific skills can help the team. That's what I have to decide.”

Jurgen Klopp is set to return to his strongest lineup for Saturday’s clash with Hull, but with the quality and depth of his squad, it won’t be an easy selection for the Liverpool boss.
The Reds host Mike Phelan’s Tigers as they return to Premier League action looking to build on an increasingly impressive start to the campaign.
Klopp’s men arrive at Anfield full of confidence following three straight wins – now also five games unbeaten in all competitions – and the Reds will be determined to add to the winning sequences by avoiding a first ever home loss to Hull.
Finding consistency and avoiding slip-ups against ‘lesser’ sides is the challenge for Liverpool over the next two league games, and Klopp has some big calls to make in defence and attack with the XI he entrusts to start that positively at Anfield.

Klopp has already faced numerous tough selection choices this season, and he has more again ahead of Saturday’s game – at the back and in attack.

In defence, having finally introduced Karius to English football, Klopp could stick with his envisaged long-term No.1 behind what has become the trusted back four, with Lovren and Milner resuming their left-side roles.
The manager reportedly told Karius and Mignolet of the decision to go with the German, after training on Friday on afternoon.
The midfield picks itself with Jordan Henderson , Wijnaldum and Lallana all fresh, meaning they’ll continue their record of starting every league game together so far this season.
The huge call comes in the front three, where Klopp must bench one of Sturridge, Firmino, Coutinho or Mane.
With Sturridge having missed part of the week after struggling with a knock after the Chelsea match, the England forward looks likely to be the one to miss out, meaning Firmino back into the central no.9 role.
That would provide the following lineup:
That would also leave a VERY competitive bench, featuring Sturridge, Divock Origi, Emre Can , Lucas or Klavan, Moreno, Grujic and Mignolet.
Having produced some big performances and results to cement a fine start, the Reds must retain their focus and performance level to avoid a repeat of Burnley and claim a routine three points

European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › EFL : Derby County Vs Liverpool Today At 7:45pm by luvola(op):

After hammering Burton Albion in the second round, Liverpool travel to Pride Park to take on Championship stragglers Derby County. The Reds are in fine form at the moment, winning three of their last four matches in all competitions - including the scalps of rivals Chelsea and reigning champions Leicester - scoring twelve goals in the process, while conceding only three.
After finishing fifth and getting to the promotional knockout rounds last year - falling to eventual promotion-winners Hull City in the semi-finals - this season has been rough on Derby, with a single win, three draws and four losses after eight rounds. Their main problem has been an inability to score goals, notching only two so far, despite enjoying the attacking talents of Darren Bent and Scottish international Chris Martin (not of Yellow and Trouble fame).
There is also the chance of reunions with former Reds winger Tom Ince - his father undoubtedly not far away - and permanent Liverpool target Will Hughes, the latter having contributed the team's sole recognised assist in the league this year. They are lead by former Leicester City manager Nigel Pearson, so mind your chokehold defense and stay tuned for the post-match press conference regardless of result.
The Rams enter the third round having beaten a pair of League Two sides, first besting Grimsby Town 1-0 in the opening frame, then defeating Carlisle United 15-14 on penalties following a 1-1 score after extra-time.
The two teams have not met since the 2007/08 season, in which The Reds triumphed 2-1 at Pride Park and delivered a 6-0 drubbing at Anfield, with Andriy Voronin getting on the scoresheet. The Rams were relegated that year, winning a single game, earning a record low 11 points and conceding a record 89 goals.
For Liverpool (4-3-1-2/4-3-3):
Karius
Clyne, Matip, Lovren, Moreno
Henderson, Can, Grujic
Coutinho
Ings, Origi
With Daniel Sturridge, Roberto Firmino and Georginio Wijnaldum all sitting out practice on Sunday, and a visit from Hull City coming up only four days after the Derby clash, it seems probable that Jürgen Klopp will make changes to the starting eleven. The EFL cup presents a good opportunity to get Emre Can up to match fitness, as well as replace Simon Mignolet with Loris Karius. Marko Grujic is likely to get his first start for the club, and Divock Origi should be reinstated at striker. Alberto Moreno might get a chance to get out of the doghouse, while the rest of the backline will presumably remain unchanged.
If Sadio Mané is given a well-deserved rest, a slight tweak in formation might be in order, with Danny Ings getting only his second official appearance under Klopp. This would also allow Philippe Coutinho to play centrally and a little deeper, something that seemed to be part of the gameplan against Chelsea on Friday. Or, you know, Ings and Coutinho flank Origi in a 4-3-3.
Kickoff is set for 7:45PM BST/2:45PM EST on Tuesday from Pride Park in Derby. The match is not set for broadcast in England, with only BBC 5 Live and LFCTV Radio coverage on offer. This holds true for most of the world, outside of at least Australia, where beIN Sports currently list the match.

David Luiz will make his first start for Chelsea since rejoining the club in a £34m switch from Paris Saint-Germain.
He replaces captain John Terry, who suffered an ankle ligament injury against Swansea last weekend.
Liverpool defender Dejan Lovren is expected to return against Chelsea after missing Saturday's 4-1 win over Leicester because of a bruised eye.
There could be a recall for Philippe Coutinho, who was rested for that game after a long flight from Brazil.
MOTD COMMENTATOR'S NOTES
Simon Brotherton: "Liverpool's tricky early run of fixtures continues, with unbeaten Chelsea certain to be fired up for this one after dropping points for the first time this season in last Sunday's 2-2 with Swansea.
"Liverpool have already played last season's top three, putting four goals past both Arsenal and Leicester and drawing at Tottenham.
"Unlike certain other encounters between these sides in recent times, there's no league title or place in the Champions League final at stake, but the game will be no less intense for that.
"Liverpool were 3-1 winners in the corresponding fixture last season, which was also their first league win under Jurgen Klopp. I'm expecting a close, high-octane encounter to start the weekend."
Twitter: @SimonBrotherton
WHAT THE MANAGERS SAY
Chelsea head coach Antonio Conte: "David Luiz will play for the first time with us and we are confident about this.
"We expect him to play very well, with great attention. We know David is a good player and we are working to put him in the best condition to give us the best of him.
"I'm confident for him. He's a good player and during the training sessions I have been seeing good things."
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp on Chelsea's Diego Costa: "He is a real warrior on the pitch. He uses his body all the time and that is a quality. He was nearly unstoppable against Swansea.
"He is world class and that's the best thing football fans can say about you.
"Last season was not a Chelsea season and now they are back on track, so we need to be ready for a real challenge."
LAWRO'S PREDICTION
I really fancy Liverpool to win this one. They have a real momentum about them and I think playing an away match against an attacking team will suit Jurgen Klopp's side.

After two weeks of having to stew over how Liverpool didn’t secure victory at Tottenham Hotspur a fortnight ago, Premier League football is back this weekend.
If the two-week international break felt like it took forever to finish, it feels like an eternity since the Reds last played at Anfield.
It was the 1-1 draw with Chelsea on May 11, to be precise, with the completion of the new Main Stand seeing Jurgen Klopp ‘s face consecutive away league games against Arsenal, Burnley and Spurs.
The atmosphere on Saturday promises to be spectacular, and with Leicester coming to town, it gives the game an extra spark.
ARTICLE CONTINUES BELOW

The Foxes have made a solid but unspectacular start to the campaign, picking up four points from their three games, but they are a very dangerous team who have seemingly not lost their spark.
Claudio Ranieri has them exceptionally well-drilled, and their counter-attacking brilliance can be a joy to watch. Jamie Vardy and Riyad Mahrez have stayed beyond the summer, which was paramount.
We all know what Leicester’s game plan will be on Saturday, and the final outcome will largely be down to which Liverpool team turns up.
When they are in full flow, there is arguably not a more devastating attacking side in the league, but they can also fall apart with alarming ease.
Their unpredictable nature sums up the Premier League as a whole, and Saturday’s showdown should be very entertaining for the neutral.

What do you make of Leicester’s start to the season? Has the level dropped from last year, or is that a lazy assumption?
Whilst I wouldn’t say it was a lazy assumption I probably wouldn’t agree with it either. The opening day loss to Hull was the polar opposite to our performances last year. Bereft of ideas up front, panicked in defence and the result was a sucker-punch.
However, the sort of spirit that carried us through last season was more than evident against Arsenal. I may be looking at this through blue-tinted glasses but Leicester probably deserved to win the game on balance, as on multiple occasions we exhibited some incisive and exhilarating attacking play whilst remaining solid at the back and carried this through for the win against Swansea.
All in all a definite mixed bag, but much too early in the season to panic just yet.
What final league position would you be happy with in 2016/17? There seem to be plenty writing you off already.
Last season there was a constant sense that many pundits (and some fans) were eagerly waiting for the wheels to come off, seemingly queuing up to say “I told you so.” The loss to Hull brought a lot of them out the woodwork—many even linking us with relegation.
Obviously I was disappointed with the result but that is reactionary in the extreme, and I am sticking to my pre-season call of top eight.
N’Golo Kante leaving is a blow, but we have recruited well (Ahmed Musa is particularly exciting) and more importantly signed a vast majority of the squad to long-term deals.
Kante was crucial, but there is more than enough quality in our team to be realistically aiming to challenge for European places.
Which Liverpool players are you most fearful of on Saturday, and what is your prediction?
ARTICLE CONTINUES BELOW
1848058564
Klopp has a truly enviable attacking array to choose from: Philippe Coutinho, Roberto Firmino and Adam Lallana are all players capable of turning a game on its head, however the man to watch for me will be Sadio Mane .
It hasn’t taken him long to slot into your setup, and when he is full flow he will scare the life out of defences.
It is probably fair to say that both sides possess greater attacking assets than defensive and there could be a few goals in this one.
Vardy, Mahrez and Musa vs. Mane, Firmino and Coutinho—it should be an entertaining game for the neutral, at least. 2-2.
Classic Match: Leicester 1-4 Liverpool- October 20, 2001
The two sides met at Filbert Street back in 2001/02, in what would be a memorable occasion for Liverpool legend Robbie Fowler .
The striker pounced from close range to give the Reds an early lead, before Sami Hyypia’s header doubled Gerard Houllier’s side’s lead after just 10 minutes.
Another clinical Fowler finish made it 3-0 shortly before half-time, and although Dennis Wise pulled a goal back for the hosts before the hour mark, it made little difference.
Fowler completed his hat-trick in stunning fashion, volleying home superbly with his weaker right foot in the dying seconds.
It would be the last goal ‘God’ scored in his first spell at Anfield, before moving to Leeds United a month later.
Team News
The international break is always a nightmare for club managers, as they watch matches terrified at the thought of their players getting injured.
Fortunately for Klopp, his Liverpool squad has come it through it relatively unscathed.
Emre Can is out with a foot injury, however, while Ragnar Klavan also misses out with a knee problem and Sheyi Ojo is still sidelined with a back issue.
Joel Matip and Dejan Lovren are expected to be the first-choice pairing at centre-back, although
Mamadou Sakho has been training with the first team this week, despite his much-publicised behavioural issues.
Sadio Mane is fit, after tenuous rumours emerged that he had picked up an injury for Senegal last weekend, while Loris Karius has recovered from a broken hand.
Simon Mignolet is likely to retain his place in goal, though, with Karius still not quite ready to be thrown in at the deep end.
As was the case last season, Leicester have very few injury concerns.

Klopp’s View
Klopp discussed the Sakho situation, admitting it may take time for the Frenchman to get back into the team:
One To Watch: Riyad Mahrez
It may be a rather predictable choice, but Mahrez was the man who made Leicester tick last season, and he can be unplayable on his day.
The 25-year-old has an Arjen Robben-esque ability to cut inside onto his superb left foot, creating and scoring at will, and his unpredictable style is the perfect foil for the more functional players around him.
With James Milner again expected to start at left-back for Liverpool, Mahrez may fancy his chances of running the Englishman ragged.

“We have to make Mama fit now. In the transfer window you have to make decisions, and you have to prepare after the window closes.
“You have to tell the players the truth. The situation is like it is, you can’t change the situation any more. With Mama, and all of the players, I told him what I thought would be best.
“It’s now about making Mama fit—and he isn’t after this long time with the suspension and injury—then we will see what happens.
“I have no idea when. It depends who performs, our results, all that stuff. In the end, Mama knows, I know, and that’s enough. It’s not a problem. Who am I? You don’t have to gain my trust.
“He couldn’t play football for a long time, it makes sense after a long break to think about how to get match time—it’s difficult here.
“You have to speak about it before the window closes, and that’s what I did. I’m not silly enough to forget good performances, but in the end we will see what happens. That’s all there is to say.
“It’s normal now, the squad is clear, it’s all good and we have one more good centre-half. But, for him, it needs time, that’s how it is. I can’t change it, it’s your body.”

Arsenal finally secured their first win of the Premier League season before the international break, and Arsene Wenger’s men will be looking to build on that as Southampton visit the Etihad Stadium on Saturday.
It’s a big game for…
The two Arsenal debutants. Shkodran Mustafi and Lucas Perez were the Gunners’ late marquee signings as Wenger looked to plug holes in his defence and attack.
Mustafi joins with a point to prove, not just his £35 million price tag, but whether he can cut it in the Premier League after his failed stint at Everton.
Perez claims he was contacted by Arsenal early in the window but the lateness of his move suggest that Wenger had other targets in mind before settling for the uncapped Spaniard.
The 27-year-old has been around the houses with spells in Ukraine and Greece and he’s only hit double figures for league goals just once in his career. Wenger has admitted Perez is a gamble because he’s coming from an overseas league, but the striker’s record suggests he may need time to settle.
Likely line-ups…
Mustafi is expected to start alongside Laurent Koscielny at centre-back, but Perez could struggle to start ahead of Grioud, despite his sub-par display in France’s goalless draw with Belarus earlier this week.
Southampton will have to wait at least a month to see club-record £16 million signing Sofiane Boufal after he arrived from Lille with a knee injury.
But in better news for Saints, Claude Puel has confirmed Fraser Forster is set to feature after missing England duty with an arm injury.
If you memorise one stat, memorise this…
Arsenal haven’t lost in 21 consecutive home league games against Southampton – the last time they were beaten was in November 1987.
Last time they met…
It ended in a goalless draw at the Emirates Stadium in February, and the Gunners slipped to five points behind eventual champions Leicester City.
From the archives…
Jermaine Pennant marked his Premier League debut with a hat-trick against Southampton in 2003. Arsenal fans will be hoping Perez has deliver something just as memorable.
Metro.co.uk prediction…
Arsenal have a solid record at home against Southampton and they looked superb at times against Watford in their last outing before the international break. This could be the game that gets Giroud up and running. Arsenal win 2-1.
Lucas Perez

TEAM NEWS
Manchester United pair Luke Shaw and Henrikh Mkhitaryan have overcome minor injuries in time for Saturday's derby.
Antonio Valencia is also available after international duty, giving United a clean bill of health.
Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero begins a three-game ban but Bacary Sagna should be in contention after recovering from a hamstring injury.
Leroy Sane and Ilkay Gundogan are now fit and may make their debuts, as could goalkeeper Claudio Bravo.
Captain Vincent Kompany is back in full training following a thigh problem but the club will not rush the injury-plagued defender back to action.
MOTD COMMENTATOR'S NOTES
Guy Mowbray: "Too early in the season to tell us anything decisive, but never too early to be enjoyed - all over the world thanks to a multi-time zone friendly kick-off time.
"As all good derbies should be, it's almost impossible to predict - and all we know for sure is that with 100% starts behind both teams, something's got to give.
"For all the history between the coaches, I hope that the focus afterwards is on what we've seen on the field rather than Jose Mourinho versus Pep Guardiola off it.
"United could be at just about full strength, whilst City will miss Sergio Aguero - but maybe not significantly. As shown against West Ham, this team can score without a major contribution from their number 10."
Twitter: @Guymowbray
WHAT THE MANAGERS SAY
Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho on the absence of City forward Sergio Aguero: "It's more difficult [for us]. It looks a little bit of a contradiction, but without Aguero it is more difficult.
"When Aguero is available, we know that Aguero plays. We know their formation, we know their dynamics and nobody has doubts.
"They have so many options that for us in the preparation of the game, we have to go step by step, we have to go situation after situation because we try to reduce the unpredictability of the game, you know?"
Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola: "Let me live this derby and after I can tell you how it can compare with Spain and Munich. I think that for the media on both sides, in Spain and here, it's similar.
"I saw the four official games United have played and in every game they've played better than in the one before. Like us.
"Set pieces with tall guys it's impossible to control that, they're taller than us. They're a top team, like Manchester United always is."
LAWRO'S PREDICTION
Looking at the game, the biggest difference between the two teams is that Manchester United can change things around with their strikers if they have to.
Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial both have pace to burn through the middle if it is not working for Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
Because of that, I am going to go for United win. I don't think City will be able to hold out for 90 minutes.
Prediction: 1-0

The Hammers have nowhere close to their full complement fit and have witnessed a serious dip in form compared to last season’s exploits. After losing their first away game to Chelsea, Slaven Bilic will be hopeful to prevent defeat against Pep Guardiola’s side.
After two weeks the Sky Blues find themselves among the top of the table going into this game and the new manager will want his team to continue their good run once again.
Key Battle – Sergio Aguero vs Winston Reid
It is hard to see past Sergio Aguero when identifying City’s main attacking threat. The Argentine has been in red-hot form, netting six goals in the three games he has played this season and he does not look like stopping anytime soon. A well-deserved rest in the second leg of the Champions League qualifier would have done the injury-prone striker a world of good and he will be raring to go against a depleted Hammers side.
The difficult task of having to handle Aguero will fall on the shoulders of West Ham vice-captain Winston Reid. The New Zealand international has been one of the club’s most consistent defenders over the last few years and will need all his experience to keep City’s striker under control. He will be partnered in the centre of defence by James Collins who has a vast amount of experience himself, as they look to maintain back-to-back clean sheets in the league.
Team News
Bacary Sagna and Kalechi Iheanacho are the latest to pick up injuries for the Sky Blues, with the former ruled out for the next game. Vincent Kompany, Ilkay Gundogan and Leroy Sane will also watch from the sidelines, while Yaya Toure still is not match ready.
West Ham are suffering a serious injury crisis with Andre Ayew, Andy Carroll, Aaron Cresswell, Sofiane Feghouli and Diafra Sakho all set to miss out on the trip to Manchester. Manuel Lanzini remains a doubt and Dimitri Payet will go through a late fitness test to prove he can play some part.
Head-to-Head
The two sides have played a total of 102 times so far, with City winning a majority of 48 while the Hammers have triumphed on 37 occasions. The remaining 17 matches have ended in draws.
Previous Meeting
The sides last met earlier this year in the league at the Boleyn Ground, sharing the spoils in an exciting 2-2 draw that saw Aguero and Enner Valencia both grab braces.
Prediction
West Ham’s injury concerns certainly make City the favourites in this encounter and the Sky Blues will be hoping to continue their 100% record and stay at the top of the table.

Antonio Conte 's Chelsea side are one of just four Premier League teams to still boast of a 100 per cent record in the top-flight this term, with the Italian having overseen late wins against West Ham and Watford within the last week.
To add, the Blues secured their place in the EFL Cup third round on Tuesday with a 3-2 victory over Bristol Rovers and, after seeing a side featuring several changes come up trumps against the League One outfit, Conte will expect Chelsea to continue their good run of form when Burnley come to west London on Saturday.
Sean Dyche's side stunned Liverpool by beating Jurgen Klopp's side 2-0 at home last weekend despite having just 19 per cent of possession - the lowest total by a winning team in the English top-flight since the 2003/04 season.
Despite their famous win, however, Burnley were knocked out of the League Cup by Accrington Stanley following an extra-time goal in midweek, which means Dyche's side are still without a win on the road this season.

Form guide
Chelsea beat Watford 2-1 in their last Premier League game while Burnley defeated Liverpool 2-0.
Key players
Chelsea have several players in fine form, but Michy Batshuayi is the man to watch for the Blues. The Belgian is not expected to start on Saturday but he has proved crucial coming off the bench against West Ham and Watford.
Meanwhile, Burnley striker Andre Gray, who was charged by the FA this week over tweets he published four years ago, will have to be closely marked by the Chelsea defence after scoring one and setting up another against Liverpool.

Team news and probable line ups
Conte's only real concern is the calf injury sustained by Willian recently, which has kept him sidelined for the last two matches. The Brazilian posted an update on his condition, but it remains to be seen whether he will play any part against Burnley.
Meanwhile, Ashley Barnes may miss out for the visitors with a hamstring injury.
Chelsea possible starting XI: Courtois, Ivanovic, Cahill, Terry, Azpilicueta, Matic, Kante, Moses, Fabregas, Hazard, Costa.
Burnley possible starting XI: Heaton, Lowton, Keane, Mee, Ward, Boyd, Marney, Defour, Arfield, Gray, Vokes.
What they’re saying
Chelsea manager Conte: "We must understand that when you have the opportunity to kill the game, you must kill the game.
"When you leave it open a situation like tonight [against Bristol Rovers] can happen when you stay afraid of drawing the game until the end."
Burnley boss Dyche: "I thought we made Liverpool look uncomfortable. We think we can be a threat to teams.
"We have never been bogged down with all the stats about possession. There is something marvellous when you see someone give everything to the cause. That's what I thought we did."

Tottenham host Liverpool on Saturday afternoon aiming to secure their second win of the Premier League season.
Spurs edged past Crystal Palace last time out and while Mauricio Pochettino insisted he was happy with his team's performance, he would probably have preferred to witness a greater margin of victory.
Making the difference up front no longer rests squarely on the shoulders of Harry Kane, with Vincent Janssen also vying for a place in the front line when Jurgen Klopp's side come to town.
But it would be a bold move not to re-install Kane as Tottenham's attacking spearhead against a Liverpool team boasting the worst defensive record in the Premier League, as it stands.
The Merseysiders have a point to prove after being beaten by Burnley last time out but so do Spurs, with some still seemingly convinced that a second successive title challenge will not be forthcoming.

One win and a draw is not to be sniffed at, especially given that Everton appear to be a resurgent force under Ronald Koeman.
But the north Londoners are not yet in full swing, with several of their key players still building up their fitness after extended breaks in the wake of Euro 2016.
Pochettino will hope the hype surrounding Champions League draw does not distract his side.
Klopp does not have such a problem as Liverpool will not play in Europe this season.
But optimism that a title challenge could be on the cards after beating Arsenal on the opening day has waned since a disappointing defeat at Turf Moor.
The Reds are still not the finished article and their form could continue to be patchy until Klopp has his team pulling in the same direction.
One to watch
Dele Alli
The 20-year-old was only fit enough for the bench against Palace but made an instant impact when he was brought on in the latter stages of the game.
And that is expected to be enough for the England international to secure a starring berth ahead of Vincent Janssen this week.
Alli makes Spurs tick and the extra competition for places at White Hart Lane may well see him take his game to another level.
His every move will be scrutinised against Liverpool given that he came close to moving to Anfield.
Sadio Mane
The Senegal international is flavour of the month at Anfield and possesses the pace to blow away any defence in the division.
Mane has made a cracking start to his Liverpool career, but that could make him a marked man from now on.
And Pochettino is keen to see his side keep the 24-year-old on the fringes of the game: "He showed at Southampton what quality he has.
pic.twitter.com/kGh5mPglXo
— Liverpool FC (@LFC) August 25, 2016
"Mane is very good, I know him very well.
"He's a great player but Liverpool have signed very good players and spent a lot of money."
 Pochettino's current XI vs Spurs' Champions League XI
Team news and probable line ups
Hugo Lloris' recovery from a hamstring injury is on track and Spurs expect to welcome him back into the fold after the international break.
Mousa Dembele is set to be the only other absentee for the hosts as Kevin Wimmer has shaken off a knock and Dele Alli has recovered from illness.
Victor Wanyama will deputise for Dembele while Alli will be hopeful an encouraging appearance off the bench will be enough to claim a starting berth.
Pochettino has hinted Alli, Janssen and Kane can feature in one side but is likely to side with tested tactics rather experimental ones against such a dangerous opponent who, as Arsenal know, are capable of scoring a hatful away from the comforts of Anfield.
Tottenham possible XI: Vorm; Walker, Alderweireld, Vertonghen, Rose; Dier, Wanyama; Lamela, Alli, Eriksen; Kane.
Daniel Sturridge has kicked up a fuss about playing wide but might find himself on the bench, despite gettign on the scoresheet at Burton Albion.
Klopp has several formation options open to him but could opt for a 4-3-3 in order to combat Tottenham's full backs, who bomb on an at every opportunity.
James Milner is in line for a left-back role if Alberto Moreno is not deemed worthy of a starting berth.
Liverpool possible XI: Mignolet; Clyne, Lovren, Klavan, Milner; Lallana, Henderson, Wijnaldum; Mane, Firmino, Coutinho.
What they're saying
Mauricio Pochettino: "It will be a very tough game. I remember last season it was Klopp's first game in charge.
"They like to play on the counter attack. They are fast. Different to us - we like to manage the ball.
"We are a different team with a different philosophy but it will be tough."
Mauricio on @LFC team news: "Hugo is still out and @mousadembele is suspended. Everyone else is fit." #COYS

— Tottenham Hotspur (@SpursOfficial)
August 25, 2016
Jurgen Klopp: "They [Tottenham] are absolutely convinced about their way and their style of play.
"They didn't change too much and they have high individual quality.
"They are a pressing team, a high-pressure team, so we need to know about this.
"They don't give away a lot of spaces but there are spaces, of course."

Striker Michy Batshuayi could make his first Chelsea start.
Manager Antonio Conte is expected to make plenty of changes, though midfielder John Mikel Obi is unavailable following his involvement in the Olympics with Nigeria.
Bristol Rovers hope to add winger Billy Bodin (illness) to their squad after he missed Saturday's League One trip to Southend.
Manager Darrell Clarke has no new injury worries.
Match facts
Bristol Rovers won the last meeting between these sides, in a second-tier match back in March 1981 (1-0).
Chelsea have won their past eight League Cup ties against lower-ranked opposition, since losing on penalties to Burnley in November 2008.
Bristol Rovers have not reached round three of the League Cup since 2000-01, where they eliminated Premier League side Everton at this stage via penalties.
This is the first time Chelsea have played in round two of the League Cup since the 1996-97 season, when they beat Blackpool 5-4 on aggregate before losing out to Bolton in the third round.

European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: EFL : Burton Albion Vs Liverpool On Aug 23 At 7:45pm by luvola(op): 9:13pm On Aug 22, 2016
Liverpool kick off their EFL Cup campaign against Burton Albion on Tuesday.
Liverpool fans prepared themselves for a season with one game a week most weeks. There would be less football, but it would mean more time for the players to recover and an ability to focus on what mattered most—the league. So of course it’s only taken two rounds of Premier League action before a mid-week match comes along, this time in the English Football League Cup.
And given the way Saturday’s game against Burnley went, we could all certainly use the quick turnaround. On the weekend, Liverpool had 81% possession and 26 shots, but most were from distance against a Burnley side that sat deep and sought to frustrate. A Burnley side that had just three shots but scored on two of them to win the game 2-0. For Liverpool, it was 90 minutes of frustration.
Now Jürgen Klopp will be looking to bounce back against Championship side Burton Albion, a side that have spent most of their history far further down the pyramid than they currently stand and for whom Tuesday will mark the first time ever they’ve faced off against the Reds. Last season, the Brewers were in League One and earned promotion by finishing second.
Until 2009, in fact, Burton Albion had never played in the Football League comprising the Championship and League One and Two. And their promotion from Blue Square’s Conference North to League Two almost didn’t happen that season after league sponsor Blue Square made a show of paying out bets they would win promotion—in February while they were 19 points clear at the top of the table.
Following that, Burton Albion’s form cratered, and on the final day of the season they knew they needed a win to ensure promotion. Instead, they lost. But Cambridge United, their nearest rivals, could only manage a draw themselves and Burton Albion moved up into the Football League for the first time in their 66-year history. In 2014-15, they earned promotion to League One.
Just a year later, they earned their promotion to the Championship after Nigel Clough—the man who led them to that 19-point lead in Conference North before he was poached mid-season by Derby County and the Brewers fell apart—returned to the club. In the early going this season, they have a win, a draw, and two losses for four points from four games. They have scored nine goals and conceded nine.
Those numbers make them the second worst defensive side in the first month of the Championship’s 2016-17 season—and the best attacking side. On paper at least, they aren’t a side that will be able to do to Liverpool what Burnley just did to Liverpool. On paper, this is a good game for Liverpool to try to bounce back with.
For Liverpool:
Mignolet
Alexander-Arnold, Matip, Lovren, Moreno
Henderson, Can, Grujic
Lallana, Origi, Firmino
Changes are in order, but Liverpool will still look to take the game seriously. Word is that Joël Matip is fit and ready to make his competitive debut, but with Mamadou Sakho still sidelined one of Dejan Lovren or Ragnar Klavan will start. As Lovren and Matip are more likely to be seen as a long-term starting option, the same money is on them getting the chance to work together on Tuesday.
After impressing during pre-season, there is also a good chance that Trent Alexander-Arnold and Marko Grujic could make their way into the starting eleven with only two days’ rest following the last Liverpool match. Divock Origi, meanwhile, should be given a chance to find his form from the start of a game for the first time this year.

Willian could return for Chelsea after recovering from the calf injury that ruled him out of the win at Watford.

Mikel John Obi, an Olympic bronze medallist with Nigeria, is expected to return after the international break.

Burnley look set to revert to the team that beat Liverpool last weekend with striker Andre Gray returning.

Forward Ashley Barnes (hamstring) is out until after the international break. Loanee Jon Flanagan is rested after playing 120 minutes in midweek.
