shavel: @all, Can a study permit application be refused for not including the result checker(waec) when one have submitted the notification of result given to him by his secondary school .

The WAEC scratch card does not really matter, the WAEC and NECO scratch cards I included in my application were returned unscratched. But the WAEC result I submitted was Original certificate from WAEC which can be obtained from your secondary school.

I got into the elevator alone, and was set to reach the top floor. And then all of a sudden, I heard this strange noise from underneath my feet like the elevator had lost one of its cords. And to my shock, as soon as it hit the top floor, it started going down again, with the door vibrating like it was stuck somewhere, and right behind me, I felt the sound of two metals rubbing heavily against each other like the rusty gate from an abandoned cemetry, with the elevator moving up and down in a ping pong fashion.

I swear, I almost practically URINATED on myself! And you needed to the sweat running down my entire body. I looked like I had just come out of a swimming pool!

I had a similar problem inside one stupid bank metal detector. I entered the machine after several beeps, only to get stuck inside, I could not enter d banking hall, I could not go out. One minute to two minutes, and I started loosing my breathe and feeling dizzy. The security man was moving up and down and did not know what to do himself, he was pressing the switches inside nothing worked. two minutes tÙrned to eternity that I was thinking that the news in the following day headline would read "A man got trapped and di*d in a bank metal detector"
To cut the fat story thin, I was let out..I didn't bother to do anything again for that day.

You don't need a study permit, you only need a study permit if the duration of your study exceeds six months. All you need is just visitation and you will state your purpose of visit on the form.

The TOEFL is not compulsory but if you have it make sure you include it in the application package. There is a place in the study permit questionnaire that asks for proof of proficiency in English language or French

And I don't think it neccesary to submit personal tax clearance.

I submitted my application to VAC at oregun on 12th of April, and I received e-mail from vac on 4th of May that my attention was needed. When I tracked it online I got something like "Please contact the Visa Application Centre for further instructions, your attention is required at the earliest."

I submitted all the documents requested for in the application checklist form

Letter of admission
University transcript
WAEC and NECO with scratch card, the cards were returned with my medical instruction unscratched.
TOEFL result as evidence of proficiency in English Language
NYSC discharge cert
Receipt of the part payment of the school fees
University Certificate
My parent's marriage certificate
Birth certificates of my siblings who are still in the country.
Letter of sponsor from daddy stating his source of income and how he intends to sponsor blabla
Affidafit of support drafted by court
Statement of account like 15M+
His pension authority letter (Certified True copy)
My own company certificate of registration (a small business)
Certificates of IT course I have.
Tax clearance for 3years
My business statement of account (dormicialliary and corporate with moderate flow of cash less than 500K)
Personal statement of account
Police clearance.
Statement of purpose(dis one is complex took me a week because of my case is special)

I think one thing that facilitated quick approval of my app is because I have a sis who has been citizen like 6 years ago. So I included pictures we took together, family tree, pix she took with my mummy when she went for a vacatn in Canada. And a letter from her and her family certified by a Canadian notary public stating their support on feeding and accommodation and minor expenses during my stay. They also included the documents of the properties they own and their pay slip and others.

Something I didn't include in the application prayer and fast. I thank God that I am making a headway. I have followed dis thread since the beginning I think 4 years ago.

I just got a mail from VAC which had been sent since Friday, how am I to know my fate with the content of this message, is it medical instruction, interview, or refusal. I don't leave in Lagos I will have to travel to Lagos to know the content of my message.

My brother brought a Tmobile blackberry from abroad for my younger sister and I offered to help her unlock it, I gave it to an engineer to help me unlock it after we had an agreement on money and time of completion, after I called to confirm if he had finished the phone engineer said that he was busy and not in office and that I have to pay more than what we agreed on, this made me to tell him to leave the phone that I will unlock it myself since I read on Nairaland that it is possible to unlock it free (I knew little about the MEI stuff before, but I wanted to employ the service of a professional).

I had a disagreement with him on phone and he said I should even come and pick the phone in his office, I pleaded and told him to help me do it but refused to help me, to cut the fat story thin, I went and take it, and I gave it to someone else to help unlock he said that it cannot be unlocked again because of so many unsuccessful attempts.
