Until last year as a result of a directive from the head of service on the ban on foreign training as a result of fall of oil prices , every level eight officer and above in the Nigerian civil aviation authority goes for foreign training at least once a year and collects eastacode in dollars . Some directorates still go on foreign training despite the directive . Foreign training locations range from Dubai to UK to usa to Egypt to Singapore to Kenya to india to South Africa and some other countries depending on your department/ directorate |
What ever happened to the Great Ife,Great Unilag and the other not so great "greats" ? |
The 2003 Honda Accord is probably the worst car ever made with its transmissions issues . I had the car and changed the gear twice in 3 years. See the link below http://www.carcomplaints.com/Honda/Accord/2003/ |
Marriage is a different ball game from dating. Mr Jacob with all his money got the girl but as seen in the Nysc camp she fell for a guy that didn't even spend a single kobo and if Dickson was patient and wiser, he could have dis disvirgined her. Money can never buy love. It's also difficult to marry a stunningly beautiful woman . Even in marriage , men of all sorts will try to approach and have a taste . Lucky dube once said a beautiful woman is another mans play thing in his song it's not easy. Dr hooks when you are in love with a beautiful woman song also comes to mind.Jacob is insecure too. Please more updates flakky. Really want to see where this ends |
Oliseh cant be 40 years old but its okay.I understand. |
Forgive me if i am wrong but the engine in the picture looks like the engine of a Honda civic 2008. Can you please clarify if this is the engine that came with the car in the picture or whether the engine was changed. Thanks. |
What year is the car and what's the mileage ? Thanks |
I agree with etcetera . Many people go to churches nowadays to feel among and to get the trendy car stickers displaying the church logos. The emphasis on prosperity by some pastors isn't also helping matters. The ultimate ambition of every Christian is to make heaven . That's the only glorious eternal and everlasting life the devil cannot offer. Even people who worship the devil or non Christians are wealthy at times . The emphasis as a Christian should be a prayerful life filled with the Holy Spirit for direction. Making heaven is not beans o. Once heard a testimony from a converted devil worshipper who said people in the kingdom of darkness were so angry in a particular year because too much people made heaven ; too much people in this case was just 15. So whether you attend RCCG, winners, day star or celestial church of Christ, your ultimate ambition should be to make heaven which is a Herculean task but possible. Please don't focus on the messenger. My friend is a strong critic of Benny hinn and he attends RCCG. When I told him Benny hinn once prayed for pastor adeboye in Nigeria , he was dumb founded. Focus on the Holy Spirit and be prayerful. Jesus has a direct line so you don't need to go through any pastor or prophet. |

If for nothing else, we should remember the following about the 16 years pdp spent in power. The kerosene subsidy scam which exists till today . No one in Ppra was prosecuted in the 2011 subsidy scam because it was an election year. The money stolen by dizeani and her cohorts. Stella Oduah. Pension scam . How long can it take to fix or upgrade or at worst build a new refinery so we don't need to export crude ? 16 years perhaps ? Ifeanyi Ubah that should be in jail for poor corporate governance that left his company indebted to amcon was given the company back because of his tan activities ? The truth of the matter is I don't think APC or any other party can do this country more harm than pdp has successfully done in the last 6 years . If our refineries start working 3 years into Buharia government and pms crashes to 40 naira per liter, that alone is a guarantee of a second term. Nigerians are just tired of pdp. And yes Ben Bruce raped NTA and gave birth to silver bird and the rest they say is history |
Bamz:point taken sir. It just goes to show that there are inter tribal and intra tribal divisions. |
Bamz:thanks for attempting to tell me who I am but I know who I am . I carry a nigerian passport and fly the nigerian flag and if I am outside this country to achieve any great thing,my achievement is first of all a nigerian achievement. You will be shocked to know even some lagosians don't like to marry ijebus and so many other disparities within the Yoruba community. I'm a Yoruba boy but I will always put national interest first before ethnic interests. I think as a Nigerian and not carried away by cultural bias. |
A man is a man. A Tribe is a tribe. A man should be judged as a man. I know a lot of ibo men and women in Lagos that are better personalities than Yoruba men and women. All this tribalism has to stop. Every individual should be treated without any negative stereotype . The tragedy is the greatest tribalists are often well learned showing the Nysc is a waste of time. We need to change our mindset. Lagos is like London. It is a melting point of culture and commerce. The true Londoners by origin are probably less than 10percent and that's what's going to happen in Lagos enventually.I'm Yoruba and from Lagos by origin from the durosimi-eti lineage but I dare say it's not just the Yorubas that make lagos great. It's the ibos, ijaws, Hausas, fulanis, urobhos and over 50 other cultures and ethnicities that have representation in Lagos. I am first of all a Nigerian before Yoruba not the other way round . One Love people |
I am yoruba and i dont support this. Most Ibo people i know are even better than some yorubas i know. A man is a Man. A tribe is a tribe. A man should be judged as a man |
Ambode for Governor. And if Agbaje by any means wins the election, he most likely would join APC. Loose Loose for some people. Who knows maybe PDP will present an Ibo candidate in 2019. Is it just me or Nairaland front page topics today are suddenly PRO PDP ? |
laudate:Ok. |
ogene007:What do you know about JK ? Tell me five things JK has done at the age of 58 in terms of public governance and administration at any level ? Apart from his Jay Kay Chemist, what is his pedigree ? You can choose to stick with JK but you need to be sure you actually know JK. All the best and see you on sunday. |
If i didnt know better, i would assume Agbaje was ibo. Cant wait to see the look on the faces of some people if Ambode wins the Election. With Buhari, i was humble when he won and didnt rub it in. If Ambode wins, oh my oh my, i will so rub it in both on and off nairaland. who knows, i may get my first nairaland ban there and then. I vote Continuity. I vote Ambode. |
The Oba of Lagos ish wasn't ceated by the British . Secondly saying lagos is owned by the people from Benin because lagos was conquered by benin is like saying Poland is currently owned by the Germans simply because Poland was occupied by Germany. In history , to determine the true occupiers of the land we have to go back to the earliest history known which clearly says Lagos was inhabited by Yoruba aworis in the 15th century . To come now and twist the truth is just sad and tragic. Unless one can provide evidence that another tribe apart from the yoruba aworis inhabited Lagos in all records known to man, we can safely say lagos is a Yoruba state by origin |
Obas of Lagos and dates List of Obas of Lagos Ado (1630–1669) (son of Ashipa/Esikpa)[2][3] Gabaro (1669–1704) [4] Akinsemoyin (1704–1749) [4] or (c.1760-1775) [5] Eletu Kekere (1749) [2] Ologun Kutere / Ologunkutere / Ologunkuture (1749–1775) [2] or (1780-1801) [5] or until 1803 [6] Adele Ajosun (1775-1780)[7][4] or (1801-1821) [5] or (1806-1813)[8][7] Eshilokun / Esinlokun Ajan (1780–1819)[4] or (1821–1829)[5] Idewu Ojulari (1819–1832) [4] or (1829-1835)[5] Adele Ajosun (second term) (1832-1834) [4] or (1835-1837) [5][8][7] Oluwole (1837-1841) [9][6] Akintoye or Akitoye (1841-1845) [4][9][6] Kosoko (1845–1851) [4][5][6] Akintoye or Akitoye (second term) (1851-1853)[4] Dosumu the Great (1853–1885) [4][9] Oyekan (1885–1900) Esugbayi Eleko (1901-1925 & 1932) Ibikunle Aki(n)toye (1925–1928) Sanusi Olusi (1928–1931) Falolu (1932–1949) Adeniji Adele (1949–1964) Adeyinka Oyekan II (1965–2003) Oba Rilwan Akiolu (2003 till date) |
What if Agbaje wins who is to say Agbaje wont Port to APC after some serious lobbying by Tinubu and some people in the new Federal Government led by APC ? Its just tragic that people want to vote Agbaje simply because of what Oba of Lagos said or because he is eloquent Vote who you want. But let it be on record that at the age of 58,Agbaje has 0 Percent Public Sector Governance experience in any capacity.I will vote Ambode. However if Agbaje wins, people shouldnt be shocked if he ditches Obanikoro,Bode George and Ogunlewe of PDP and ports to APC. No permanent friend or foe in politics only permanent interests. At the end of the day we all pray for a peaceful and prosperous Lagos. Eko o ni Baje |
Okay. So on one hand the Demola guy said Jimi Agbaje’s antecedents as a technocrat who is comfortable in the midst o technocrats is known to all. His activities as a frontline campaigner for democracy has found him in the camp of the Alliance for Democracy in the past, led him to run on a self-built platform in 2007 and now in the PDP which provides a clearly established structure that can guarantee electoral victory for him in a matter of days. Demola also said But Lagos has become a cash cow to finance the whims of one man who has brought out, not the brilliant lawyers Supo Shasore and Muiz Banire or the quick-thinking Dr. Kadiri Hamzat but an Ambode whose voluntary retirement from public service at the age of 49 not having reached the age of retirement (60 years) or spent 35 years in service makes many to question the circumstances surrounding his exit for public service and his personal integrity. It is okay to question Ambodes Retirement and why the likes of Muiz,Supo and Kadiri were not selected. however,is it not equally okay to question Mr. Jimi Agbaje by asking what public governance or administrative position Agbaje has ever held in his life ? An NGO Perhaps ? Agbaje is 58 years old. Apart from being a so called Technocrat and running his chemist(Pfizer is a Pharmaceutical company.Jay Kay is a chemist), what other public administrative position has he ever held in his life? Would you employ eloquence over substance ? Sheer Talk over experience ? HAs Agbaje ever managed a team of over 200 ? These are the simple reasons i will not vote for Jimi Agbaje. He has done nothing at the age of 58 to prove to me he is experienced enough to run Lagos. That is why I am voting Ambode. And if Demola wants to bring up the Tinubu Factor,Would you rather trust Ogunlewe,Obanikoro and Bode George over Tinubu and FAshola ? It is well. Please vote for who will meet your expectations. i am Voting APC. |
udokpuenyi:I am speaking for myself and not my "people". I am not voting agbaje simply because he has zero experience and pedigree and I would rather trust fashola and tinubu over ogunlewe and bode George . I also believe in continuity in lagos . That's why lyoncrescent is voting for Ambode not agbaje. I don't hate agbaje and I will never threaten a supporter of agbaje . Even my best friend is one of agbajes biggest fans . |
