Okpolo eye no be open eye. Great news if true and even greater news if she is tried and prosecuted if found guilty. If for nothing else, the gross fraud committed as shown in the link below which made the likes of Kola Aluko Billionaires over night should be visited. https://www.nairaland.com/2284441/pwc-audit-kola-aluko-jide |
Fantastic plot.Still trying to ponder what skeleton Jacob has in his closet. |
More politicians than technocrats. Would have preferred soludo for anambra instead of ngige and utomi for delta instead of kachukwu. It's buharis choice anyway and he will be judged by that. Guess we have to judge them by results |
Omotola Jalade Ekeinde was 18 when she got married and she seems happy and has been married for almost 15 years now. Dont see the big deal about Sanusi getting married to this pretty young girl. |
John 3:16 For God so loved the world that he have his only son that who so ever believeth in him shall never perish but have everlasting life. It reminds me of the only thing God can give that the devil cannot give . Devil can give riches , money , children , big church and all. But devil cannot give everlasting life cos even devil will perish at the end. The verse also makes me know that at the end it's heaven that matters . Whether you attend winners , rccg, celestial church of Christ or daystar, at the end each person would be audited individually to access this everlasting life regardless of religious affiliation here on earth |

anonimi:Please tell them o. Nigerians have been celebrating thieves and opportunists since 1914 |
Jide omokere is another thief and opportunist who has stolen from this country alongside kola aluko. https://www.nairaland.com/2284441/pwc-audit-kola-aluko-jide Kola aluko is just an opportunist and one of many who benefited immensely from the corruption in the oil sector . Nigerians celebrate rich crooks who can't give us a clear indication how they originally got their wealth before they then set up phony companies with illegally acquired wealth to try to legitimize their wealth. That's why thieves in Nigeria will still be celebrated and average Nigerians would be praying to God to bless them like he blessed kola aluko. |
All i see is fat and probably a lot of stretch marks beneath but maybe the husband likes that. However whenever, she decides to have children, i can imagine how fat she would be. The secondary problem would then be loosing all the fat after having her children. Toolz toh Sexy in Wande Coles voice.Whatever works for the husband though after all sexiness and beauty are both relative and true beauty lies within |
When Fashola was in power, there was often LASTMA in conjuction with members of the NURTW that prevented danfo buses from staying on the express at Mile 12. They were often forced to the service lane back then. Fast forward to ambodes era, no lastma can be found there and even if they are there, they are not as active. The implication of this is that a journey from Ikorodu to Mile 12 now takes 2 hours at times even on a sunday night as i experienced yesterday. The journey when the road is free is about 10 -15 minutes. I am not so sure about this ambode. Fashola did a lot for ikorodu in terms of roads such as the new Ikorodu to Ketu road(Even though the road is confusing and benefits BRT ), Ibeshe road, Obafemi Awolowo Road and Igbogbo road. I doubt if Ambode can beat his achievements. |
fejikudz:Like that you said tuition free education. How many of us can send our children to public primary and secondary schools ? Thats the koko. Whats the population of those countries to nigeria and whats the level of development/infrastructure ? Dont know the policy frameworks of those countries but what i know for sure is that until Government has invested in public primary and secondary schools such that we can save and stop spending at least 50k per term for a child to learn ABC in a private primary school, Government subsidzing public uni fees is a waste.Research funding is the way forward. GEJ opened 7 new universities. Number of public primary and secondary schools are the same since military rule. It should be illegal and a Sin for any child not to have quality and free primary and secondary education; It should be free for every child. University on the other hand isnt for everybody. |
flokii:I can see what they taught you at unilag so i would try to clarify my line of thought. Unilag and the rest of the public universities have an opportunity to be great but the structure of such institutions are stiffling them. Education is now Global. Unilag is not just competing with the likes of babcock and covenant but also with the likes of Oxford,Harvard and MIT. If you may, can you mention one course/field in Unilag that is at least reckoned in Africa as the best not to talk of globally.Lagos Business Schools MBA is one of the best in West Africa at least.http://www.eduniversal-ranking.com/business-school-university-ranking-in-nigeria.html All those things you learnt from those textbooks in unilag was as a result of research done mostly by reserachers not domiciled in unilag Irony is our lecturers in unilag will kick ass even in harvard in a better enabling environment so its not a capability problem. We need serious funding to ensure the enabling environment and research. Governments main priority should be funding primary and secondary education while giving unis research funding. the Existing school fees in unilag is heavily subsidized by government to what ends ?. Let schools drive their funding. Former NUC Boss once said without Government subsidy, Average student in University of LAgos would pay over 200k as school fees. That was many years ago. Unilag may be the uni. of first choice and nation's pride but it is the first of mediocrity not excellence. You can be first in a class and still score 39 Percent. Thats the case of unilag and the rest. If Unilag isnt top 500 in the world and Nigeria is the most populous black nation in the world, what does that tell you ? Celebrating Mediocrity and Not accepting fact is the bane of Nigeria. p.s. All private unis are not exempted. Used unilag as example for clarity of understanding. |
Where are all the great akokites, great oau and the rest of the not so great greats. The day government stops giving students of public universities scholarship to subsidize the miserly school fees been paid , is the day universities will rise. Government should fund research and each university should be a center of excellence in at least one field while being self sufficient in raising revenue. The only university in Nigeria that is getting it right is pan Atlantic university. They are trying hard to become a management center of excellence with their Lagos business school. They have strong affiliations with reputable schools and they also teach using the case study method used by Harvard. Covenant is also doing a lot of work in this regard. Endowment funds from alumni and Executive education courses such as advanced management programs can raise serious money for public unis which they can use to fund research, seek international affiliation and improve teaching methods. It is plain irrational that an average primary school fees in Lagos is more expensive than the chicken change public uni students have to pay. Education may be cheap but quality education is expensive cos of continuous research and publications required . Unis have to be self sufficient enventually. Harvard and MIT are private unis |
On current form I prefer vector as number one. In jaywons new jam back to sender vector was like: " Jaywon(J1)Na the boss(bus),J5". His lyrics on King Kong and several others are just a breath of fresh air. Most overrated rapper in the history of hip hop in Nigeria has to be ice prince though |

seyi360:As far as the issue of the wife is concerned, CAC people have argued she was just not happy as she didnt have personal time to spend with her husband. Ayo Babalola was always praying and fasting sometimes on mountains, attending crusades and even when at home counselling and praying for people. Even read it in a book that she had to constantly cook for people who visited and never had personal time with her husband. This naturally led to grumbling and people having the perception that she was a witch. On the other hand Envangelist Funmilayo Adebayo who was once in the Kingdom of Darkness once spoke in a crusade how it was the wife of ayo babalola they tried to use to weaken his ministry and about how ayo babalolas wife was a thorn in the mans flesh. She even spoke about how they used sexual immorality to bring down emannuel omotunde omoniyi who wasnt as popular as ayo babalola but whose anointing she said was 7 times that of ayo babalola and who some said ayo babalola called oga. I had never heard of any emmanuel omotunde prior to her crusade. There is little about emmanuel omoniyi online though.https://apostleomotunde./2011/08/25/the-life-and-works-of-apostle-emmanuel-omotunde/ Only God knows the truth but all in all, the choice of a right life partner is critical in the journey of life. |
I attended babcock uni(Even though i suspect you are referring to covenant uni in your write up) where the church services are held on saturday. I attend church on sundays prior to babcock, but i was fully aware of the practice in the institution since its owned by the seventh day adventist. You must attend services three times a week including the Saturday church service regardless of your religious standing. You can then choose to go for your own church service on sunday or jumat on friday outside the university premises. Thats the rule. To make a compelling argument that such rules shouldn't be in place is difficult and not to abide to such rules is also impossible because you are fully aware before admission. |
No be small thing o. I have been wondering why the title of this story is My Husband. Its all starting to make sense now. Thanks for the update. |
Flakkydagirl:Thanks for the response. |
Flakkydagirl:Please flakky, can you tell us when you will update the 'my husband' thread. Been waiting for an update for ages I've had to read the story again from the beginning to the end twice again. Thanks . |
If not for the simple fact that the Federal Government of Nigeria heavily subisdizes federal universities such as unilag, the school fees of such schools would also be as high as that as private universities. it is absurd for people to expect that private unis that dont recieve any form of subsidy and have to continually expand their facilities and buildings to be the same price as federal universities.Or may be students in public universities think its their school fees that is used to run their universities ? Think again. The truth is if theres money for government to do all this then fine but no money. Primary and Secondary schools are suffering badly because Nigerian government is spending so much on public unis. Even Goodluck opened 7 more public unis. When last did any government open a federal secondary school or state primary school ? Do you know the state of Public secondary schools and state owned primary schools ? So you can send your child to a public university but not public primary school ? you see the irony. All the money spent on subsidizing university should have been spent making public primary and secondary schools world class so that the foundation can be good.At the very minimum free feeding and multi media teaching is a must. if there is money left from that then government can then spend that on subsidizing public unis. Do you know that the cost of a good private primary school in lagos is more than the cost of public universities ? Not everyone will go to uni but everyone must attend primary and secondary school. |
Any award which rewards 30 days in atlanta as Best movie shouldnt be taken seriously. |
nikkiking:The accident investigation bureau will investigate the cause of the accident to check for negligence . Most accidents are often caused by either weather or human error. The AIB will also investigate the Nigerian Civil Aviation authority to see if it was culpable in its duties by checking if the Helicopter was airworthy amongst other things . The point of all this is not to bring back the dead but to prevent a future occurrence and sanction those who may be found culpable at the end of the investigation |
This is a big indictment on the University and its lecturers that no student has had first class in this field after all these years. Education is not meant to be difficult but meant to be relevant. If you take some of the students from the past who didnt make first class and put them in Harvard, Oxford or London Business School, you will be shocked that they will make first class effortlessly. Does that then mean Unilorin is better than harvard ? we celebrate/rank a school by how difficult it is to make first class or pass rather than the ease at which knowledge is passed and the relevance/application of the knowledge. Congrats to the four students who made the first class. |
The NYSC was created by decree No.24 of 22nd May 1973 which stated that the NYSC is being established "with a view to the proper encouragement and development of common ties among the youths of Nigeria and the promotion of national unity". The most tribalistic people i know are graduates who have passed through this NYSC scheme. I am in doubt whether the NYSC has had anything to do with promotion of national unity. NYSC is a waste of time. Say you gradaute June this year and go for NYSC in November this year to be done October 2016, you have wasted well over one year in the name of NYSC. You rarely can get a good ful time job straight out of university because of this NYSC palava. worst of all is most of the corp members are posted to teach in schools(Secondary and Primary). This is wrong. Teaching requires persistence, passion and patience not just knowledge. the fact a so called graduate knows 1 plus 1 is 2 doesnt mean he can teach/impart that knowledge on others in an efficient manner. Not everyone who can drive a car can teach another person to drive a car; it goes beyond just knowledge. All in all, if NYSC cant be scrapped, it should be optional. it is a total waste of funds as it doesnt promote the national unity it was created for |
