Here's what I think wait till the end of the deadline, if he's stupid enough to not rethink and rescind, we roll in West Africas finest pipe hitters into his capital and offer him a crash course on modern day democracy right at his front porch.
Oh I forgot to add we turn everything and everyone opposing into and obstacle course(smash, burn, ram, bomb, shoot) whatever it takes to save a democracy
For all who showed concern I'm indebted to you, please pardon my leave. It had nothing to do with the guys who were derailing the thread.
Na just sy 9ja matter don tire me. If Nigeria, Africa, but mostly Nigeria (I am first, a Nigerian) don't improve I don't think I can continue posting photos, make man go run other paroles.
bugativeron: I am trying to shop for a secondary school for 2017/18 session for my daughter. The choice of school for me would have been Vivian Fowler girls school in Oregun Lagos. However, I wouldn't want my son to be separated from his sister in terms of secondary sch, for that Vivian Fowler is out. But I have been hearing about air force secs schs, But I am interested in Air force sec in Ikeja, Lagos. Pls who has information to share about quality of teaching and environment? cheers
Good choice sir, i graduated from one of the airforce schools. The question should be "would my child survive the heat at any of the airforce secondary or military schools?"
They don't joke around, you are either working your butts off academically or you are going home.
bidexiii: Okay the AK's with black polymer butt on page 199.
Now the AK versions the NA and other military arm fields, fires the; 7.62×51mm produced by DICON.
Now the beryl rifle versions fielded by the AFSF and the AK74M fires or is chambered for the new 5.45×39mm rounds. Like the one @M14A1 Posted, which we import till today.
Before the advent of the beryl riffle av seeing few NA soldiers with AK-103 or 104 and even the AK74/74M which are very difficult to differentiate.
kabe1: No Sir, no Nigerian unit fires the 5.45 ammo. Nigerian commandos from the Navy and Air force, also to a lesser extent the Army, all of those who use the Tavor-21 use the 5.56 ammo.
All other Nigerian units, including the AFSF, Regular Infantry and Mobile Strike Force use the 7.62mm in their rifles or carbines.
The chances of the Nigerian military using the 5.45 is so small, it is virtually non-existent. Hence my conclusion that rifle could only be the AK-103.
Bidexii do we field Ak74 or not? Please come in anytime and set things straight
kabe1: It is not one or the other, it is definitely the AK-103. Nigerian infantry fires the 7.62mm unlike the 5.45 the Russians fire. So it cannot be the AK-74M.
It's a very nice rifle, with an effective accuracy of 600meters, that's very good.
africaken254: commercial Airlines and airworthiness authorities casually refer to the detailed inspections as "checks", commonly one of the following: A check, B check, C check, or D check. A and B checks are lighter checks, while C and D are considered heavier checks.
C check This check puts the aircraft out of service and until it is completed; the aircraft must not leave the maintenance site. It also requires more space than A and B checks. It is, therefore, usually carried out in a hangar at a maintenance base. The time needed to complete such a check is generally 1–2 weeks and the effort involved can require up to 6,000 man-hours.
D check
This is by far the most comprehensive and demanding check for an airplane. It is also known as an IL or "heavy maintenance visit" (HMV). This check occurs approximately every six years.[4] It is a check that more or less takes the entire airplane apart for inspection and overhaul. Even the paint may need to be completely removed for further inspection on the fuselage metal skin. Such a check can generally take up to 50,000 man-hours and 2 months to complete, depending on the aircraft and the number of technicians involved. It also requires the most space of all maintenance checks, and as such must be performed at a suitable maintenance base. The requirements and the tremendous effort involved in this maintenance check make it by far the most expensive, with total costs for a single D check in the million-dollar range
• why do DICON prefer two pouches to 3...IMO 3 shld be the minimum • what rifle is the guy in the last pic holding ( I just love when a rifle comes in black)
Ak103 or 74m, but judging from the magazine I'd say it's an Ak103
Henry240: NAF DESTROYS ANOTHER SET OF ILLEGAL OIL BARGES IN RIVERS STATE
The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has destroyed another set of illegal oil barges in River States. Two of the latest barges filled with stolen oil were set ablaze by NAF helicopters on armed patrol around Okoromabie and South East of Port Harcourt refinery. The third barge, surrounded by canoes carrying drums, was sited at Onne. While individuals around the barge and canoes fled when fired at, the barge and drums did not explode, indicating the possibility of being empty.
Henry240: That retarded Africaken254, has contributed his fair share to African military media. Although he is mostly ignorant on some matters, and has his Africaken moments you have to praise the immense efforts he has put in.
He is Maumau, that was his moniker at militaryphotos. Net. He virtually single-handedly ran the African military thread for at-least 2 years.
He deserves an applause for his efforts.
I honestly look forward to Ken and patches posts on this thread
kikuyu1: The whole gunship concept only works in 3rd and 4th world theatres. Try put a huge slow manouevring platform above any 1st or 2nd world infantry formation and see what happens.
So, i watched "Taking fire" again, i noticed that unlike previous American Docuseries, the Americans depended a lot more on their primary and secondary weapons.
Any idea what the screen in the Passengers side of the M-ATV is used for, it looks like some sort of screen for surveillance footage, possibly also with thermal features.
The M-ATVs are usually in,
- 2x vehicles armed with 50 CALs.
- 1 x MK-19 variant (1500 meters range)
- 1 x Tow
Their M4s have a range of 600 meters, that's also very good.
On the M-ATV , the vehicle tries to find a balance between armour and mobility, unlike your regular heavy MRAP. Haven Watched CNN's "28 hours in combat" with Arwa Damon, i kinda understand, and now appreciate the balance Oshkosh are trying to achieve with the M-ATV.
M-ATVs are installed with a camera towards the rear. The video display offers vertical view of 40° and horizontal field view of 54°. It has an infrared camera core in an LED-equipped tailgate assembly which provides visibility in day and night operations in all types of climate. I love the M-ATV!
My question his these, in the eventuality of war who would win?
Well theyve locked horns on several occasions with Egypt always pulling numbers on everything, and on all occasions Israel successfully used the egyptians and their larger coalition for proper sanitation duties. Cant say who is winning but i know where my money is
