IbnSultaan: THE NIGERIAN ARMY APPEAR TO HAVE UPGRADED THE FIRE CONTROLS OF AN UNKNOWN NUMBER OF WHAT APPEAR TO BE VICKERS "EAGLE" TANKS At least five units of the tanks were arrayed for test-firing at the Victor Kure Shooting Range in Bauchi
Pictorial illustration of "I hate my job" Best of luck to the brave soilders riding inside this crematorium they need it.
If the missile on the drone is what made you think that's a burraq, you should know Nigeria has a robust relationship with the pakis. We've imported lots of bombs and missiles from them.
1st pic. The burraq being transported on a Chinese truck. 2nd pix. A crashed ch3 in borno 3rd pix. A ch3 demo
Henry240: We are on our way. Infact, we've come a very long way, and have attained a modern basic standard. I've been sharing photos online for the past 5 years, and i can say we've done very well.
Our Special Forces across the Navy, Air Force and Army are all top of the line.
Henry why not start a thread for tacticool pictures and the likes where we can get daily dosage of hardcore pornographic contents on operators and gears
the thought of this is already making my pants sticky
lionel4power: Nigerian Army goes from old and boring to TACTICOOL in an instant
Whenever the word 'Nigerian Military' is mentioned the first impression people gets is an old, dilapidated, corrupt, inefficient and unprofessional military force, Just exactly like their role model the old defunct Soviet Union but unlike the Soviets the Nigerian forces has been largely updated due to their current battle against the Boko-Haram terrorist (BHT).
africaken254: may be they meant for being deployed to northeastern nigeria ,where Nigeria police do encounter heavy armed boko haram with RPG-7 and Dshk
frumentius: Because you adopted the maximalist position of dismissing all RDLVs within an SF vehicular arsenal. To re-iterate, the mission profile determines the assets. The SASF has Geckos, Hornets, Mambas, Casspirs and Samil Zumlacs etc available, depending on the mission. Doctrine is always paramount! An illustration: when I was in the DRC, the Ukrainans had a sizeable number of anti-tank missiles for their (somewhat useless, mostly unreliable ) Hinds which they never used. They ended up selling them to the Congolese for training because they needed the funds and after the tropical sub-optimal storage, mostly useless in the European climate.
And then one has to cross paths here with fanboys/keyboard warriors/idiots asking why Rooivalk is not fielding more than 20mm cannon and rockets in the DRC!
agaugust: Nigerian navy should be teaching these NATO navies about maritime security operations and rescue of pirate hijacked ships, not the other way round. We currently have more experience than them.
Henry240: I really don't like to view things through a narrow prism, we have to evaluate properly both sides. Only the guys at UAC working on the T-50 have all the details.
Henry24o: I'm sure we've all seen this Janes article on the T-50
Although it looks like a fifth-generation fighter, the T-50 PAK-FA currently lacks many of the systems associated with that class of combat aircraft, and it is doubtful whether they will be incorporated into future production blocks. Source: Sukhoi The presence of the US Lockheed Martin F-22 Raptor at the 2016 Singapore Airshow, and statements from the company about future demand in Asia for more F-35 models to be procured have highlighted the interest in the region for fifth- generation combat aircraft. A number of air forces have a programme to acquire a fifth- generation fighter, but what qualifies an aircraft to carry that label is a "matter of perspective," a US industry representative told IHS Jane's . Russian industry has consistently referred to the Sukhoi T-50 PAK-FA as a fifth-generation aircraft, but a careful look at the programme reveals that this is an 'in-name-only' designation. What qualifies a fighter aircraft as being a next-generation design is more than just having a stealthy-looking shape, said Lockheed Martin representatives. Previously, Russian defence think-tanks had been projecting that the T-50 would be purchased by Asian nations that were already operating some model of the Sukhoi Su-27/30 'Flanker'- series. This would include Indonesia, Malaysia, and Vietnam. China, another major operator of Sukhoi aircraft is developing its own next-generation aircraft in the Chengdu J-20 and Shenyang FC-31. Russian specialists familiar with the T-50 programme state that the aircraft will have trouble gaining traction in the Asian market as the on-board systems offer very little fifth-generation technologies despite what is projected to be a considerably higher price tag than the latest Su-35 'Flanker-E', ordered by China and Indonesia. Both the T-50's NIIP Irbis radar and the NPO Saturn 117S engine that are two of the major subsystems of the T-50 are the same as those installed in the Su-35. Also, a number of the avionics on-board the T-50 and Su-35 are common. Those that will be part of the production-configuration of the T-50 will more likely than not be only incremental or evolutionary improvements over their analogues on- board the Su-35, say the same specialists.
chkil: The Su-34 not need Su-30 escort , he has a good air -air system , a 360° radar , can take all type of missile air-air , air groud , air sea , pods ect ... , can be configurat for Electronic warfare and reco and had a cockpit armour (17 mm ) , and he can take the P-800 Oniks missile (SS-N-26 Strobile)
the su 34 fighter-bomber is designed for tactical deployment against air, ground and naval targets (including small and mobile targets) on solo and group missions in daytime and at night, under favourable and adverse weather conditions and in a hostile environment with counter-fire and EW counter-measures deployed, as well as for air reconnaissance
to read
also for manoeuvrability the su 34 have the same base as the Su 30 , the su 27 so he has good maneivrability it's not the same as su 24 serie see this videos
and for radar you forget that detection range 400 km is not the same as engagement range and not to the same for air targets , sea targets and ground targets no aircraft had a chance again the S 300 system and S 400
and to finish if he wasn't good russian army will not command more of it or use it with the su 30 SM in syria georgia , algeria who have the Su 30 mka, the su 30 sm are comming and the upgraded su 24 , have ordered 12 aircraft su 34 in this january so i think the su 34 give some adventage and have particular use .
upko1: I liked your post. You will make a good case study for mentally inbalanced patients. To have THINGS like this defending Nigeria online, is a ridicule to this great nation.
