If you want the pretty fine things in the world the key is to work hard and be consistent.. Irrespective of Uzoho's official age which I no longer believe, he still worked hard and found himself a pretty fine wife. He is also wearing a Red cap ..money is good.. Am not of igbo extraction but I often hear those who wear red caps are those who are affluent, wealthy , whom the society deem fit to confere traditional titles. |

If I recall well, Chelsea won the league under Jose Mourinho and conceded the least number of goals to win the league.. I think fourteen goals. But the way I look at this Liverpool team, they'd likely equal that record.... A big kudos to the manager, and the big buys at the defense and goalpost. Virgil and Becker.. Well balanced by lads like Clyne, Gomez, Trent, Robert.... They make Loveren feel like he is really talented playing along them. . |

rabzy: Alata means pepper seller in Yoruba. Some of the earliest traders to the southern part of Ghana are ogbomoso traders who traded a lot in pepper. When the Ghanaian govt sent Nigerians out of Ghana a lot of these traders who have been established for decades there were affected, their properties forfeited, this was before our own retaliatory "ghana must go" ejection. So the term Alata has been used to describe Nigerians for a very long time in Ghana. You are right about that, seems u had stayed in Ghana as well.... Even words like "agoo" which in Yoruba means excuse is the same with the Ga community who occupy central Accra region. I travelled north through kumasi, Tamale, and the upper East region. While in the upper east region "calabaar" means prostitute, I found this amusing because norther Ghana to Accra is just as far as Lagos to sokoto. So how did the word calabar get to mean prostitute there, I later realised that the first set of prostitute where from calabar who moved to settle in the upper east region.... So many cultural and language affinities we share since the British colonization ..... Travelling the coast of West Africa as a Nigerian and seeing our influence all over was really great.. I recognized the power of the Hausa language in Bamako and Ouagadougou.. |

krattoss: morroco could have been a good option but they always claims superiority over African matters. They ain't in African union, last time it wagivem to them, they back pedaled citing ebola as the Case.
South Africa has overhosted it.. They may still pull a fast one, taking to cognizance that they aren't sure of qualifying against Libya.
Egypt battles struggles with rebels and isis. They ve played most of their matches in burj El Arab Cairo.
Algeria can't boast of any single roofed stadium. All their stadias I have watched are all roofless, coupled with little capacity.
Gabon hosted it last, giving it to them again is odd and a slap in the face to the African nation.
Nigeria can boast of stadium infrastructures that needs little touch to get into fine shape before the Mundial, but we face election next year. Maybe it's time to show the the world we re giants of Africa after all. But maybe too much politics and Shananigans might be a hindrance to this dream and fantasy. Morocco is changing and they have a new trend, they seek to partake in continental events these days because they understand what they have to gain.. They have joined AU (African Union) last year.. They intend to join Ecowas as well, plus the recent visit of the Moroccan king to Abuja . You might say this is politics, but u know how national interest play a key role in foreign policy. With the dwindling reputation of Libya in Africa, it's an opportunity for Morocco to rise up to the occasion This is to tell you how much of an interest they have in Africa. They recently hosted CHAN home based. And they will be willing to host the AFCON if given a chance |

realpoacher: Mediocrity talk... To be the best you have to beat the very best at all times
The problem is we respect our opponents too much
The bar we should be aiming for at this stage of Nigerian football should be the European standard not the African standard
If you are losing to a Cameroonian team 1:0 away
You will definitely be slaughtered 5:0 away to the North African teams
If you can't best the north Africans, how then do you measure up to the world?
I hate people with defeatist and mediocre mentality
I seriously hate ambitionless people too Same thing with the falcons our female team. While teams like South Africa and Cameroon are closing the gap, we have consistently failed to do so since 1999 with the teams from other continent. And more annoying is that we have let these African nations catch up with us. One can no longer enjoy the female team play these side without a sense of panic. I know we would win the finals, am sure at least by a lone goal, a goal difference or penalties. But sadly that's no longer the falcons of Mercy Udoh the wife of Colin Udoh I grew up watching. |

Truidstar: I don't want to get involved in this Iheanacho argument but I will say the bitter truth. Since iheancho left Man city, he has dropped badly. Even if you don't play, training week in week out with the likes of De bryune and co improves your game. Guardolia no drive am comot, Guardolia said and i quote " He wants to move for first team opportunities, if the move goes through or not, he is still part of the group". The iheancho we saw against Tanzania and Zambia, where is he? Iheancho's goal that was goal of the week on CNN where is he? Remind me because am not too sure when he was having this record I believed he was at Man city. But the moment he switched over to Leicester City, his overall performance for the national team seem to be in declivities.. He had at the early stage of his national team career carried a goal record that made me believe he could out score rasheed yekini within a short time.. Am not too sure perhaps the house can help me out he scored something like 8 goals in 8 games for the national team. This had happened while still at Man City |

Icon79: Oga mi, I think you guys totally 100% misunderstand my post. I wasn't tryna put anyone down or call anybody a mediocre. gosh, I don't even know the folks who have been nominated sef. I might check them out over the weekend but I haven't had time to check yet. Anyway, I was just making a generalized statement ... a general assumption, if you will, that we might end up with square pegs in round holes if we throw the nomination open, as an all comers affair.
If you come down to it, I am NOT asking to be nominated. And if nominated, I might not even have the time to be effective in the committee due to the pressure on my time right now. However, I was just pointing out the need to have the right people in that committee. Not to sound conceited or anything but some of us have played this game to a very decent level. Some of us have the right connections and contacts in high and low places, both at home and abroad (a la Tbaba1234 and Joebie). Some of us have followed this game and even coached this game long enough to understand the game (a la Icon4s etc.).
That's what's driving my recommendation. My intention was never to put anybody down or for a shameless self promotion. Having said that, I formally withdraw my name from the nomination, but let's give the other 5 candidates a very good consideration.
Those are just thoughts but I would implore y'all to give those thoughts a very good consideration if we want to achieve our aim of forming this committee. There's a saying in my village that na "ora adighi atu ero". Even in the Bible, when they were about to replace Judas Iscariot, they established some standards/qualifications for the ideal candidates. They didn't threw the whole thing open for all comers.
Just thoughts ....
O pari Taa, shut up ya mouth there, u don miss yarn be you don miss yarn, no come dey give us long speech about you being busy here. You need learn work on yourself, based on my perception about you and first encounter with you which has badly defined you to me if I must say, but u still keep displaying such uppity without critically accessing yourself. I just wonder how many good friend you have in real life who could deal with your hubris. |

Ryan giggs slept with his brother's wife. John Terry slept with a teammates wife or girlfriend, dele Alli had a video of him receiving Mouth Gig, come on Southgate. These things happens. Players get drunk leaving bar and drive recklessly, they get fattened up... Players have goal drought for seasons..
There are no emotional bias when u see a country man playing or starting, it's patriotism and not bias. We are not saying Isaac success is the best player or hyping him in Watford, we are only appreciative that is all |
