MetalJigsaw:I Am not talking about club here. I am simply referring to the "that guy" moment. What's the that guy moment?? Hypothetically this would be watching a football game anywhere and u see a particular player handle the ball or say display some attributes beyond those who he is up against. At this moment your curiosity is piqued to know more about the player, and it starts with the name. You are like What's his name or what number does he wear. Certainly, with Chelsea winning a European cup and Nigeria winning the Nation's cup. Mikel gave himself a drive to be in the top 3. (p.s I now recall how pained I was that yaya toure whose team could only get to the quarter finals could emerge african player of the year.) but then, you cannot take away the "that guy" moment from toure. My point is it's the same with brahimi with Porto. Mikel had it too, obviously why he came second. But then not consistent enough for any average fan to always want to pick his name up in their memories forever. More-or-less the reasons why the ex Algerian player could not easily mention his name. |
andrew444:Noted |
timay:You go just come shout if u no like mikel tantrums. Abeg keep ur mouth na question to refresh brain I ask for. No be to create foe. |
safarigirl:His accomplishments with a team. Has he been nominated for top 3 African best player?? |
andrew444:Brahimi has consistently put up a good shift at Porto. He can be ranked in that level, just as mikel did with Chelsea. For brahimi His stats will attest to this. |
Earthquake2:He is right, same way we only know Mahrez. As Brahimi, feghouli are on the same ranks with ndidi, Mikel and iwobi. |
Every moniker here came from the same place. |
Has any team scored first in the knockout stage of this AFCON and eventually end up loosing the game ![]() Madagascar took the lead twice and defeated Dr Congo. Nigeria too the initial lead against Cameroon and South Africa and eventually won. Same with Tunisia against Ghana. Algeria is just gonna win this game following that logic |
Supernerd and oasis, we are hear to talk football. If u wanna throw jabs at each other open a thread for that. We are not interested in all these battle for supremacy of whatever kind. |
ChrisKels:Haq Haq Haq.. And he will *eventuary* keep failing. |
realpoacher:Lool no wonder Alabi dey bash and tear guys ticket. .. All ye nairabet fans making Alabi cash out everyday, just imagine the day Egypt lost, am sure many peeps for cry their eyes out |
Rohr should start Simeon against South Africa. Simeon is gonna score bookmark this. |
Expecting water out of rock is like expecting South Africa's number 9 striker to tuck out his shirt. I wonder if he uses peg on the shirt. |
Benin republic have played four games in this ongoing AFCON, they yet to win or loose any in regular time. They have played three African giants, which include Morocco, Cameroon and Ghana. In all these matches they did not loose one. Unfortunately, they have another african giant to play for a semifinal slot, that is Senegal. If they overcome this hurdle, i can confidently say they are the surprise team of the tournament |
Nigeria our country. |
darkelf:Hold up play when we had a Victor Moses. |
atikulated2019:Will u keeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep kwayet |
Please guys take it easy.... This place ain't no complaints centre... |
Morocco in the group stage have played liked Nigeria.. Can we call that championship stuff. They always grind out that one nil win. Again in the 90th minute against South Africa. The only difference here in comparison with Nigeria is that they are a much more attacking side unlike Nigeria. |
People should learn to use the internet well It's annoying the kind of stuffs u often find people discuss, talk or criticize on the net. I am guilty too, but I have leant to be sure of facts, understanding emotions and a whole lot. Don't just talk because u can. If you cannot improve the silence keep quiet |
TheSuperNerd:Welcome back bro, next time u wanna take a leave let us know, we were concerned. Don't just go AWOL |
Why the fight. Oshoala and Ebi I think. Ebi saying something like "no dey pour me water" And asisat oshoala flaring up as she is being led away by the coaching crew |
forgiveness:If there were 9 players warming up at the sideline does that mean he wants to play them at that time. |
darkelf:Chai na Andrew be this Andrew is it true. (...... We waiting for the time bomb response) |
forgiveness:Why wouldn't he, we were not in a clearly favorable position. You watched the match. We were red carded and we needed to believe that what we had on bench could bring much needed results which still didn't work with the 8 mins added time. Plus we had minor injury worries with oshoala. I believe these reasons were good enough to make changes. If not why make any in the first instance. I |
forgiveness:It's not about shots and possession its about getting a result. We needed a result and the best 11 were on the pitch for that. Barring injuries, we were not down, we had the game just where we wanted to have it, it was still favorable to us. So why make a substitute if it cannot improve the state of things. Except I was gunning for a win or I doubted my defense ability to keep up with the pressure, then I'd make one. I think the coach did what many good coaches would have done. Kept the team compact like that. There was no need bringing a fresh leg which can equally be calamitous to our play. |
forgiveness:Like I knew that's what you were gonna say. He needed no changes we were dealing with those French substitutes well. If I were him, I could even play the 90 mins without any sub or probably substitute oshoala who didn't seem too fit as the game went on |
safarigirl:It's okay to feel hurt by the loss. But don't try using it to raise moribund issues. You guys have gone past that now |
forgiveness:Forget it, he did no wrong in this game. Look at it for what it is. |
We are playing with 10 women and France is still struggling like this. France certainly wouldn't go in this tournament But that's not what bothers me, they said almost all their team players come from Lyon who are women champion in Europe yet they struggle against us. This only means that we have the raw talents to match these female teams including USA. we just need a proper structure, say proper female league open to neighboring African countries at lest with good incentives and perks. We can dominate global women football. Forget the loss today. It means nothing. The girls did play well |
Nothing clear about that thing to make it a penalty. The VAR never showed its a penalty. How did that useless woman of a referee come to that conclusion. She has just cheated us. Or is she scared they'd lynch her if she didn't blow for penalty |
This French team wouldn't go far |
