“Such As You Have… Give!” – Tuesday November 8, 2011 – Pastor Chris By Diane Maartens in Rhapsody Of Realities Daily Devotional · Edit Doc Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk. And he took him by the right hand, and lifted him up: and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength (Acts 3:6-7). Jesus said in Mark 16:17-18 “…these signs shall follow them that believe; in my name shall they cast out devils…they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.” He didn’t say we should negotiate with sickness; He said heal the sick. Lay your hands on the sick and they shall recover. The apostles didn’t just pray for those who were sick; they healed them. Peter healed the crippled man at the gate of the temple called Beautiful. He said to the man: “…Look on us” (Acts 3:4). The impotent man, expecting to receive alms, gave Peter and John his attention, but Peter didn’t have any money on him at the time. But he knew he had something greater than money; the Name of Jesus. Hence he said to the impotent man, “…silver and gold have I none, but such as I have give I thee…” Peter made a demand on the Name of Jesus and a miracle took place. He transmitted the power of God into the man’s body using the Name of Jesus. It reminds me of a certain lady who came to one of our meetings. She was confined to a wheelchair because she was unable to walk. I had preached during the service on the Name of Jesus and as I looked at her, I noticed she had been crying, and I said to her, “In the Name of Jesus, get up.” She leapt off the wheelchair instantly, walking and praising God. I had something to give. We’ve been given the power of attorney to use the Name of Jesus. You can bless your world with the Name of Jesus and the life of God in you. When you make a demand on that Name, miracles take place. Your hands are not empty; they are divine instruments through which eternal life flows. So you have something to give; something with which to bless the world. Confession Dear Father, I thank you for your pulsating life that permeates my entire being, and with which I bless my world today. I’m conscious that I have something to give; therefore I distribute the blessings of the Kingdom to those I come in contact with today. This is an awesome privilege and I’m grateful to you for it, in Jesus Name. Amen. THURSDAY NOVEMBER 3, 2011::: TOPIC= ORDAINED TO A FRUITFUL LIFE If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which ye are (1 Corinthians 3:17) The Greek word rendered “defile” in the verse above primarily means to waste; to render inactive, ineffective or inoperative. If anyone renders the temple of God useless or inactive, such that it is not functioning with respect to the purpose for which it was made, the Bible says him shall God destroy! That means God shall pluck him off. You have to read from the beginning of the chapter to see the context of discussion. Little wonder the Lord said in John 15:1-2, “I am the true vine, and my Father is the vinedresser. Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth not fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit.” Who takes the unfruitful vine away? God! Every branch in the Vine that is unfruitful is taken away, but every branch that bears fruit is purged and pruned to bear more fruit (John 15:2). The Lord Jesus is the Vine and we are His branches. That means you’re connected to the Lord and therefore pre-destined and ordained to a fruitful life. It’s God’s desire that you’re increasingly fruitful and productive at every stage of your life. The secret is remaining connected to the Lord. He said in John 15:5:“…He that abideth in me, and I in him,the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.” If you want to be fruitful and productive, bringing forth fruits in increasing measure, stay connected to the Vine. Like the Apostle Paul declared in Philippians 4:13 “I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me,” you must continually acknowledge that your strength isn’t in your physical abilities but in the Lord, for without Him you can do nothing. In as much as the Lord is interested in you bearing fruits, He also desires that you bear lasting fruits: “Ye have not chosen me, but I havKe chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you” (John 15:16) . The way to do that is to keep His Word in you: “If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you” (John 15:7). PRAYER Dear Father, thank you for you have chosen me, and ordained me, that I should go and bring forth fruit, and that my fruit should abide. Therefore I’m consistently fruitful and productive, making progress and advancing in life on a daily basis in the Name of Jesus. Amen. Further Study John 15:16 Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you. Psalm 1:3 And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper. The Power In You – Tuesday November 1, 2011 – Pastor Chris To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory (Colossians 1:27). Acts Chapter 3 chronicles the inspiring miracle of the lame man at the gate of the temple, called Beautiful. Peter and John had gone to the temple at the hour of prayer and met the man who begged them for alms. Turning to him, Peter said, “…Look on us…silver and gold have I none, but such as I have give I thee” (Acts 3:4-6). Remarkable! He said “such as I have, give I thee.” Peter wasn’t going to be praying to God on behalf of the lame man; he knew he had something to give him. Oh! How I’ve meditated on this portion of Scripture through the years! It’s too big for the ordinary mind. How could a man talk this way? Peter, the fisherman, who, once out of timidity, denied Jesus, stands before another man and says: “Silver and gold have I none, but such as I have give I thee, in the Name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk,” and then yanked the man up. The Bible says instantly, the man’s ankle bones received strength, and he leaping up stood, and walked, and entered with them into the temple, walking, and leaping, and praising God (Acts 3:7- ![]() What made the difference for Peter? What resulted in his sudden audacity of faith? He had received the Holy Spirit and had been turned into another man! He had come to understand the revelation of the divine life in him. No wonder he said in his epistle: “According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue: Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust” (2 Peter 1:3-4). The man had come to understand that he was no ordinary being; he knew he had received “Zoe”, the very life and essence of divinity, and this made him more than human. Have you come to this understanding? Do you know you’re not ordinary? Sickness, disease, poverty, and failure should have no place in you because you’re God’s headquarters in the earth. He wants to bless the world through you; so like Peter, be bold to declare who you are and what you have, and you’ll always find yourself walking in the realm of the miraculous! Confession The life of God in me makes me more than a man. I’m an associate of the God-kind; therefore I live the divine life naturally. I live above all the limitations of the human realm today by ability of God’s Spirit. Hallelujah! Further Study Acts 1:8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth. Relish Every Moment! – Friday October 28, 2011 – Pastor Chris. The thief comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance (to the full, till it overflows) (John 10:10 AMP). Life is a journey, and while on that journey, it’s important you enjoy the trip and relish every moment. There’s so much God has placed on your way, for you to enjoy as you journey through life. In other words, life is not all about the future or the sweet-by-and-by; God wants you to enjoy today. It’s great to be focused on your journey or the tasks ahead, but while at it, relish the passing moments. Observe Jesus’ statement in our opening scripture, He said “I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance (to the full, till it overflows).” God wants you to enjoy the life He has given to you because that’s the reason Jesus came in the first place. You have to enjoy every day of your journey in life. If you don’t enjoy yourself, no one will enjoy being around you. Let every moment of your life be pleasurable because God has given you all things freely for the basic purpose of enjoyment (1 Timothy 6:17). If you don’t enjoy the simple little things of life that God has given to you, you really can’t enjoy spiritual realities. So, firstly, start out by appreciating yourself, and then also the people God has placed in your world. Appreciate even the little things as what you wear – your shoes, clothes, jewelleries – etc! Even your devices, such as your handheld phones, relish them; enjoy the features. You also have to learn to let go of your past experiences, especially the pleasant ones, and have no fret or fear of tomorrow. The regrets of yesterday and fears of tomorrow are enemies of today’s happiness. God doesn’t live in your yesterday, and He doesn’t triumph in your fears, all He expects of you is to be the best of you and enjoy every moment of your life TODAY! Prayer Dear Father, thank you for the great and precious blessings you’ve made available to me to enjoy today. Thank you for loading me daily with all the benefits of life such that I’m thoroughly furnished with all I need to live joyfully today. I thank you for your glory and grace that you’ve bestowed on me to reign in life today and forever, in Jesus’ Name. Amen. Further Study 1 Timothy 6:17(AMP) As for the rich in this world, charge them not to be proud and arrogant and contemptuous of others, nor to set their hopes on uncertain riches, but on God, Who richly and ceaselessly provides us with everything for [our] enjoyment. Romans 8:32 He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things? frosbel: Everybody has the word of God to act upon. A pastor that is in lack has to practices giving if he doesnt he will struggle in life. They are first pastors before christians frosbel: u dont understand prosperity of a christian. The prosperity of a christian goes beyond that which he is supposed to have. He needs to have more to help others and if he doesn't have, how will he give? frosbel: Its for a special reason. Because of their persecution in the early church, they couldnt go to work so they had to sell and share what they had because they were being hunted and killed, they were living and hiding together but it was not an everlasting principle. Paul said those who do not work should not eat. Gods idea is not for us to live from hand to mouth A christian has to work, so he can take care of himself and others frosbel: why are you complaining about the state of the poor when you fight the message of prosperity that is preached to help people. Moreover are you paul? Are you judging them according to the standard of the word or your own standard? |

Prosperity Through The Gospel – Thursday October 27, 2011 – Pastor Anita Finally, brethren, pray for us, that the word of the Lord may have free course, and be glorified, even as it is with you (2 Thessalonians 3:1). When the impact of God’s Word increases in a city or nation, it gives room for greater progress, great joy and prosperity. This happened in Bible days and still happens today. In Acts 8:5-8, the Bible says, “Then Philip went down to the city of Samaria, and preached Christ unto them. And the people with one accord gave heed unto those things which Philip spake, hearing and seeing the miracles which he did. For unclean spirits, crying with loud voice, came out of many that were possessed with them: and many taken with palsies, and that were lame, were healed. And there was great joy in that city.” Notice the latter part of the scripture above; it says there was great joy in the city of Samaria because the people received the Word of God gladly. The preaching of the Gospel brought great joy to Samaria. You know an atmosphere of joy is the right atmosphere for prosperity, peace and progress. Knowing this therefore, we’re to keep praying that the Gospel – the Word of God – will grow mightily all over the world and prevail. We must keep praying that the Lord would grant Christian leaders and ministers of the Gospel utterance to speak the mystery of Christ boldly as they should. We must also pray that the Word being preached will be received with great joy, grow and prevail mightily, producing miracles, signs and wonders in the nations of the earth as it did in Samaria, and in Ephesus (Acts 19:20). It’s important for us to keep interceding like this, because only the Gospel of Jesus Christ can guarantee prosperity, peace, progress and joy for any nation. As many more people receive the Word gladly, with faith and meekness, their mind-sets will be altered and the joy of the Lord will spring up in their hearts as gushers of living waters. Prayer Dear heavenly Father, I thank you for your grace that brings salvation, which has appeared unto all men. I pray that many more will embrace that grace and walk in the light of the salvation that’s in Christ Jesus. I declare that the hearts of men and women are opened to receive the Gospel, and that your Word is growing mightily and prevailing, bringing about great joy in our cities and in the hearts of men and women all over the world, in Jesus’ Name. Amen. Further Study Acts 19:20 So mightily grew the word of God and prevailed. Ephesians 6:18-20 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints; And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel, For which I am an ambassador in bonds: that therein I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak. For your information, some healings and miracles are not instantaneous, they take a gradual process But it's in the place of the person involved to continuously hold on to his healing until he sees the complete manifestation |
