![]() you have not seen that verse before? |
The truth is men will continue to talk, news will fly the air waves These things must happen But our concern now is the souls that are at stake Those that will come in contact with wrong information ![]() |
Azibalua:That means you agree that we are GODS ![]() |
Joagbaje:This sounds familiar @Loveking, you once said you wanted to apply for the post of the antichrist! I hope your reason for this thread is genuine ![]() |
KunleOshob:why am i not surprised? |
Joagbaje:This reminds me of a passage in the bible Son of man, I have made thee a watchman unto the house of Israel: therefore hear the word at my mouth, and give them warning from me. 18 When I say unto the wicked, Thou shalt surely die; and thou givest him not warning, nor speakest to warn the wicked from his wicked way, to save his life; the same wicked man shall die in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at thy hand. 19 Yet if thou warn the wicked, and he turn not from his wickedness, nor from his wicked way, he shall die in his iniquity; but thou hast delivered thy soul Ezek 3:17-19 (ASV) |
@Zikky, mabell, i'll like to know how to utilize this ticket. Thanks it's easy, just use your tongue, there is power in it |
Joagbaje:the hope of success and prosperity and divine health and on and on and on, |
yommyuk:How can you say sickness comes to humble people, if God gives sickness then people don't need to go to the hospitals or look for relief now. They should rather keep their sickinesses in order to retain their humility And Jehovah will take away from thee all sickness; and none of the evil diseases of Egypt, which thou knowest, will he put upon thee, but will lay them upon all them that hate thee. Deut 7:15 (ASV) Secondly, if you say we are all sinners then why did Jesus die, what is the essence of His death? Do you believe in his resurrection power Finally, the church of Christ is for perfecting of the saints whether CEC or Redeem or whatever What qualifies a man to be born again, is it not when he accepts Jesus so why do you think members of CEC and the pastor inclusive have not accepted Jesus? |
Martian:Well Kunle oshob and co, you have won a soul Congratulations |
lakode:So the pope is now the yardstick for Christianity and miracles eh Amazing, one group criticizes popes and priests and another excel them and hold them in high regards Well i guess it's the same with Christ embassy and miracles, some people believe and it works for them while others do not so no qualms |
Well i have a rhapsody of realities thread here on Nairaland, all you need is a mobile internet and then you can read it on the go EVERYDAY |
It is the belief of some people that when they kill, they have a reward that is why they go about burning houses and families and just doing massacre ![]() God does not support this at all |
Well i heard of someone who got born again while he was there and now pastors a church though not a white garment church |
chukwudi44:This is one thing you miss out on Salvation is a total package When a man receives salvation he is automatically given a free ticket to divine health, job security, prosperity, and the list is on It is now left for the man to either use his ticket and live the life God has called him to live or he wallows in poverty Divine health is living a life free of sickness and diseases. Yes, he could have symptom of headache to him being diagnosed with cancer, but if only he can remember the scripture, Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed. 1 Peter 2:24 (KJV) He needs to digest it and let it become a part of him. God has said it, he should believe it and hold unto it |
Subject: Maintain The Glow Through Praying In Tongues – Saturday February 5, 2011 – Pastor Chris Maintain The Glow Through Praying In Tongues Never lag in zeal {and} in earnest endeavor; be aglow {and} burning with the Spirit, serving the Lord (Romans 12:11 AMP). The only way you can be aglow with the fire of the God in your spirit is to be filled with the Holy Spirit. Jesus said in Acts 1:8 “And ye shall receive power after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you.” The Greek word translated power here is “dunamis,” which refers to power that reproduces or revives itself. Back in the Old Testament, they always needed a revival. King David asked in Psalm 85:6, “Wilt thou not revive us again: that thy people may rejoice in thee?” But the new man in Christ doesn’t need revival. All through the Epistles none of the Apostle ever asked for revival. That’s because we have in our day something the Old Testament folks didn’t have; we can be filled with the Spirit and maintain that glow twenty four hours every day by spending time to pray fervidly in other tongues. This is something you must take seriously this year; maintaining the glow of the Spirit in your life. In Acts 2:2-4 the Bible says “And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting. And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.” When you pray in tongues, that same glory that the apostles experienced in the Upper Room on the day of Pentecost, can come on you, and you can maintain it twenty-four hours of the day, seven days of the week and three sixty-five days of the year! Your prayer life becomes an exciting, everyday relationship with the Father as you maintain the glow in your spirit through praying in tongues. You may have heard some bad news, but instead of feeling terrible and sad all day long as a result of what you heard, get into the flow of the Spirit and talk in other tongues. That way, you’re fixing things in the realm of the spirit. Every day, before you get about your business, speak in other tongues, and you’ll have direction throughout the day. When you have tough choices and decisions to make, speak in other tongues! When it looks as though you don’t know what to do, or how to handle the challenges that are coming at you, get yourself to pray in the Spirit! That’ll put you in the flow of the Spirit to receive direction as to what to do, and how to do it. Prayer Dear Lord, I thank you for the power of your Spirit that’s at work in me! I thank you for the opportunity to be constantly filled with the Spirit; I’m fueled and aflame for the Lord, as my heart beats with the desire to do His will today, and always, in Jesus Name. Further Study Ephesians 5:18-20 And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit; Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord; Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ; Daily Scripture Reading 1 Year Bible Matthew 25:1-30 Reading plan Exodus 29-30 2 Year Bible Matthew 12:31-38 Reading Plan Genesis 36 Rhapsody of Realities Pastor Chris Oyakhilome |
@Poster Yes an unbeliever can pray to God. The thing is God does not hear him, not that He does not want to but because it's not possible The unbeliever has to give his heart to Christ first, that is the only prayer God can listen to After that, any other prayer can follow |
@Poster, Ok but how do people go about this! |

Subject: A Divine Ancestry! – Friday February 4, 2011 – Pastor Chris A Divine Ancestry! Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world (1 John 4:4). The expression “Ye are of God,” as used in our opening verse means you originate from God; you’re His reproduction – His offspring! It’s a description of your divine extraction. It’s so important for you as a child of God to understand that having been born again, you’re of a divine ancestry; you hail from God; your origin is in Him. No wonder the Bible declares in Acts 17:28: “For in him we live, and move, and have our being…For we are also his offspring.” James 1:18 tells us that “Of his own will begat he us with the word of truth, that we should be a kind of firstfruits of his creatures.” God gave birth to you of His own will, by the Word of truth. The Apostle Peter reiterates the same thought in 1 Peter 1:23: “Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.” In essence, you’re born of God’s Word in exactly the same sense Jesus is described as the Word made flesh (John 1:14). The Lord Jesus was always conscious of His divinity and was bold to declare it. Speaking to the Jews in John 8:23, He said, “Ye are from beneath; I am from above: ye are of this world; I am not of this world.” Likewise, in John 17:16, in His prayer about those of us who believe in Him, He said “They are not of this world, even as I am not of this world.” Let the reality of this dawn on you; you’re born from above, you’re not of natural descent: “But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: Which were born not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God” (John 1:12-13). Always be bold and quick to declare your divine ancestry. You’re not of this world. In Christ Jesus, you have overcome the world, having been born of God: “For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world…” (1 John 5:4). Confession I have overcome satan, the world and its failing systems because the greater One indwells me! Mine is the most sublime ancestry that there is, for it is divine! Thus, I live in absolute dominion and victory today by the power of the Holy Ghost who lives in me. Amen. Some people say whatever cannot be found in the synoptic gospel( Mathew, Mark, Luke and John) are not authentic , but did Jesus teach everything in the synoptic gospels I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now. 13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he shall guide you into all the truth: for he shall not speak from himself; but what things soever he shall hear, these shall he speak: and he shall declare unto you the things that are to come. John 16:12-13 (ASV) or what were the things he did not teach, lets discuss |
Subject: Have The Right Perception Of God – Thursday February 3, 2011 – Pastor Anita Have The Right Perception Of God And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent (John 17:3). Your perception or revelation of God will determine the way you relate with Him and the kind of life you’ll live. Many have their perception of God tainted by religion, rather than the truth the scriptures reveal to us about Him. I once visited a certain church and noticed a board on which some kids had attempted to answer the question “Who is God?” The question had been posed to by their Sunday school teacher; and one of the kids, in his answer, wrote, “God is a terminator; He can destroy anything and anyone He wants to.” How unfortunate! That young mind already had the wrong opinion of God, from the impression given by the older generation. Through the years, men have misrepresented God, and this has affected their relationship with Him, and denied them the experience of wholesome fellowship with Him. In their ignorance, many have attributed unpleasant and tragic incidents to God. They believe God ordained both good and evil. Thus, when for example someone passes on, they’ll say “The Lord gives, and the Lord has taken away; blessed be the Name of the Lord!” What a wrong perception of God! Some even think God took time to select certain people for wealth and some for poverty; some for sickness and others for good health. They believe whatever happens in their lives, good or bad is the will of God. They’ve misunderstood the nature of God, and perceived Him wrongly. God is good and only does good things: “Every good gift and every perfect gift of from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variableness, neither shadow of turning” (James 1:17). Let this be your perception of Him. The Bible lets us know that He is Love. His ultimate display of love was to save you while you were still a sinner (Romans 5: . It was His deliberate choice to save you and He did it because of His love nature. He chose to give you all of Himself and everything that belonged to Him because He loves you. This is the perception of Him that you ought to have.Prayer Dear heavenly Father, I thank you for the revelation of your personality unveiled to me through your Word and by the Holy Ghost! I declare that I’m growing in the knowledge of who you are, and thus I’m fruitful and productive in all that I do through your grace and peace that’s multiplied unto me, in Jesus’ Name. Amen. @Kunleoshob maybe this will help , by Wendy Bailey Man, by God’s design, is capable of great accomplishments. But in that design, to which we are fearfully and wonderfully made, man is capable of even greater things because of God’s grace. When we think of grace, we often think of God’s favor, or His mercy. Yet grace is even more than that. Grace is God’s ability; an excellence or power granted by God. God never created us to accomplish any work without His grace. If He had, we wouldn’t have needed Jesus! We could have saved ourselves through our own works. But God didn’t set it up that way. Ephesians 2:8 says, “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God.” In other words, we were saved by God’s ability and our faith in that ability. God wants us to depend on His grace, His ability, in every situation in our lives. Oh, how we’ve spent too much time trying to accomplish everything in our own ability, rather than spending time in the presence of God and doing it through his ability! Without His grace, we can burn out. But God doesn’t want us to quit, or burn out. He wants us to depend on His grace! In Zechariah 4, Zerubbabel had a great project ahead of him. His project was to complete the task of rebuilding the temple, despite opposition from the neighboring Samaritans. Additionally, the people he had to work with were greatly discouraged, apathetic and many had turned away from the Lord. Certainly, it would have been extremely difficult to accomplish the task in their own strength. But God, in His great love, lays out the plan on how the temple is to be rebuilt. Zechariah 4:6-7 6 Then he answered and spake unto me, saying, This is the word of the LORD unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the LORD of hosts. 7 Who art thou, O great mountain? before Zerubbabel thou shalt become a plain: and he shall bring forth the headstone thereof with shoutings, crying, Grace, grace unto it. The plan on rebuilding the temple was to be accomplished not by their own strength or power, but by God’s power – His ability, or his grace. The task that seemed like a mountain would become a plain. What seemed so difficult in the natural would come forth by shouting grace to it. What tasks are we facing today that seem so difficult that could not change if we only shouted grace to it? Now notice the following verse in the same chapter. Zech 4:8-9 8 Moreover the word of the LORD came unto me, saying, 9 The hands of Zerubbabel have laid the foundation of this house; his hands shall also finish it; and thou shalt know that the LORD of hosts hath sent me unto you. In verse 6-7, God lays out the plan to accomplish the task by grace. Yet in verse 9, is says that Zerubbabel will finish it with his hands. Zerubbabel couldn’t just throw up his hands and say, “Ok God, you do it” and sit back and have a lemonade! No, God’s way has always been to work through us. The difference with grace is the power working through us, which is His Spirit. And we know the power of the Holy Spirit – the same Spirit which raised Christ from the dead. We should have no doubt in God’s ability. Whatever we do in life, we need to depend upon his grace, otherwise we are laboring in vain. Ps 127:1 says, “Except the LORD build the house, they labour in vain that build it.” Laboring in vain means that we might work ourselves into the ground, and still not yield the desired outcome. When we rest on His ability, the outcome is always fruitful. The apostle Paul knew the secret of grace. In the face of opposition, God gave him a revelation. 2 Cor 12:9 “And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness.” Why is this verse so important? Because Paul truly depended on God. He recognized that whatever came against him, he didn’t have to fight it in his own strength. He trusted in God’s ability and strength to continue in the work of the ministry. How are we to get to the other side of whatever we are facing? The same way – by grace through faith (by God’s ability and our faith in that ability). Just as we operate in faith, we need to operate in His grace. How can we activate the grace of God in our lives? (1) Simply ask for it. God will not withhold any good thing from those who walk uprightly. Hebrews 4:16 says, “Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.” God’s ability is ever ready for us. We need only ask. (2) Be humble. Pride will always get in the way of God’s grace. Think about the person who is lost, driving around for hours trying to find a certain location, when they know they could just stop at the gas station and ask for directions. What keeps them from just stopping? Usually pride! The “I know how to do this” or “I can handle it” attitude never cuts it when it comes to grace. If you could do it yourself, you would have done it by now. God’s ability works best in a thoroughly yielded vessel. James 4:6 “But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble.” (3) Know the Word. When you know the Word, you’ll be fully persuaded of God’s ability. In fact, the more intimate knowledge you have of God, His ability will be multiplied in your life. 2 Peter 1:2 states, “Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord.” 2 Cor 9:8 says this: “And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work.” God wants you and I to be everything he created us to be. God’s grace, His ability, is truly amazing. Draw upon it in every and any situation. God’s best is ahead of you, as you take hold of His grace. |
