Christianity EtcRe: God Made Him Gay? by macalurs(m): 8:13am On Oct 04, 2007
martin007:
Well, you see if God can't stop it, it does not really mean it aint wrong, because God Operates under certain conditions,
Why exactly would he allow evil in the first place-- trace back to "eden". All-Knowingly placed, a tree of 'knowledge of good and evil' so to speak, in the middle of the garden-- seems quite sadistic to me, if he's really "all-knowing". Now if you say he's not, aah that makes so much sense.

there is what we all know as the "Will" of God for man, that is for man to be saved, to do the right things, but there is also the "permissive Will" of God, its like doing what he does not want you to do and knowing that its wrong, you still go ahead and do it. God is not a man, because he allows so much evil does not mean he aint a Good God.
I see people's attempts to rationalize for their Gods mistake. No force compelled God to create anything, not even man in the first place. He was not under some kind of oath to create a tree of evil. There was no reason for him to create men, very stupid, and obviously disobedient creatures. If your God knew the end from the beginning, he would invest his seven days on something else. There is no reason to create humans and allegedly "give them will to choose" if those humans can't and don't choose whether to be created or not in the first place. It's a pseudo-choice in its most illusive, when creatures are created into a pre-determined environment, with a pre-determined set of genes with a limited set of variable choices to "choose" from. The bible makes it simple-- some people were created for heaven, some others for hell. There is no God's will for anyone. If you'r lucky your preceeding generation will be christian, if your not, your dad is an Imam and your elder brother is Osama. There is no free-will anywhere.

As for your tale of "permissive will" and "presumptuous" will and what not, it's just a bunch of words created by some smart men in attempts to rationalize for Gods mistakes, you and I. . . which pushes me to believe the bible is fable.
Christianity EtcRe: Are Gays Really Sinners? by macalurs(m): 4:05am On Oct 01, 2007
it's quite normal for everything repulsive branded sin. We're human kind. I really don't give a hoot if it's a sin or not. Here's where my logic lies.

If Gayism is genetic, it will die. If it's psychological, it will grow geometrically, go figure.

To answer the question: To every human, his pre-occupation, including you the questioner.

I can't help but laugh, i would just say something here, with due respect to all those "Claiming" to be Gay, there reason is that they grew up with the emotional feeling inclined to other males or so, its funny because, does it mean just like children while we were young, most of us did steal, either meat or money from our parents, if we were caught, there were severe punishment for it and somehow somehow God helped us to stop that habit. So does it now mean that if we had grown up with such habits and turn into Armed Robbers, that would have been what God wanted us to be?
If God can stop it, and he doesn't, yes. maybe it isn't wrong, though selectively repulsive. b tw i ain't gay.

Being gay is by choice.
Apart from your funny bible, can you produce any proof of choice without ones environment and genetics?

Because, I have been close to gays to the extent of even getting paid thousands to show my privates to them when they showed me their own. They found me quite attractive and begged for relationship. But I refused. And they confessed that they knew that homosexuality was evil and both morally and naturally wrong.
Don't take it a step further, you're bordering on absurdity. Haven't you seen straight guys that could pay thousands to see anothers "privates"? It's not close to being proof that homosexuality is by choice.

If I wanted to be gay, I would have been gay since age 11.
Not if you wanted. No one just "wants" anything. There was no reason for you to turn homosexual. We all act according to necessity, even though we think we're free agents.

I met a young student from the University of Benin online who wanted to be gay, because she thought she looked more like a man even though she had perky boobs and round buttocks. So, I travelled to her campus and took her away from the negative crowd. I took her to our popular Nollywood Guest House in Surulere, Lagos, in 2005. And I spent three nights with her to convince her that she was not born lesbian and she could be loved by a man and she would be a great wife and mother.
Your story is quite one sided. Did she tell you anything about her past? you're hilarious y'know that right?

I can convert any gay.
you hit it! It's quite absurd now.

God did not create anyone to be gay.
God did not create anyone.

The Western Society and Churches have been preaching their own erroneous and ambiguous theology that you can be gay and be cool.
western society? You watch too much hollywood.

No.
I'm serious

No one can be gay and be cool.
define cool

Anyone who is gay is sick and needs a good and upright shrink and rehab.
same for celebates and virgins.

This is the TRUTH.
Define truth.

I will not argue over my conclusion.
please don't. My stomach is turning.

God does not make any body a gay, its just by choice,
being gay is repulsive, Just like mass-murder (1 Chronicles 21) and hate crimes (Kings 10:18-27) and sex-attacks(Judges 21) and "natural" disasters (hurricane katrina anyone?)-- all carefully (or rather recklessly) dispelled by God, in ancient times and now. God can happily make anyone whatever he wants if he's really God, he's lawless.

Maybe when he created heaven n earth he also created H**L
Are you that self-righteous you cannot even write hell?

Christianity EtcRe: God Made Him Gay? by macalurs(m): 7:17pm On Sep 28, 2007
You have an opinion, and a point too-- they're all based on blind faith though, as your religion requires. I think man created God not the other way, but then we can argue till next year, there's no sense in that though.

Hell fire is a myth, that was only taken up after Dante's poem and artistic depictions in his "Inferno". Before then there weren't any stories vivid enough to convey the horror stories of a hell. The scare tactic worked because after that, preachers had something to preach on. Jonathan Edwards took it up on his sermon-- "Sinners in the hands of an ANGRY GOD" and the churches spilled over with people scared out of their mind (a reported few sold all the "worldlies" they had).

"Hell" scares me (just like I had nightmares after watching the movie Shaun Of the Dead or "Zombies"), but what scares me more is that people are weaker than they think.

No it's not you it's me! grin

But seriously aren't ladies annoying? I still can't figuure out why I can't take my eyes off them though!! I'm here spitting that I'm done with 'em because there's none winkin' yet. damn.

But anyways-- to the lady;
You can never understand a man, your man. He could be a gentleman first three dates; after that it's the same cliche manish shit. We don't think like you. Men love space. All they want to do is fu-see-k and more fuckin'. They want you to be quiet and whisper only in their ears. They want you to be firm and stand your ground and they'll put you first, instead of whinning when something's not done the way you want it. They want you to be jealous.

cgift,

Imagination? Am I supposed to imagine anything? Do I have to use my imagination when trying to figure "God" out? If he's God, what's so hard about being real? The fact that I'm of a carnal (. . .critically annalytic) mind should make God easy for me to understand. Or am I stupid because I ask too many questions which you (unfortunately) have no real answer to, that you have to use your imagination ?
Christianity EtcRe: God Made Him Gay? by macalurs(m): 1:41pm On Sep 26, 2007
There is a real difference between being gay and being homosexual. Although they go hand in hand, they are not the same thing. Gay people are not required to be homosexual, though they (in most western cultures) turn out to be. I have seen gay-ish heterosexual men; They talk funny, they dress funny (and other intrinsic gay attributes) but still have families and are repulsed by homosexuality.

Gayism is a general tag for someone that acts certain ways, collevtive word for several behavioral patterns. And like all behavior, gayism is beyond conscious control, as behaviour is partly genetics, partly environment.

Homosexualism on the other hand, is a choice, though unconcsious. The same way no one sits down to decide "should I eat meat" or "should I have sex with females" no homosexual person decides concsiously.

The logic is, as one displays certain characters, he/she attracts certain people. The more inclined one is to a particular suitable behavioral pattern, the less likely for one to decide against it. It's simple logic. With success of "normal" behavioral patterns, comes a surging possibility of other behaviors spinning off on tangents, which over time creates an entirely unique behavioral pattern. I call it evolution.

In other words, "God" made him gay.
Christianity EtcRe: What If There Is No Afterlife? by macalurs(m): 6:03am On Sep 26, 2007
Everytime I read the bible, it makes lots of sense.
But every time I set it down, it becomes a bunch of bullshit. Does that not mean that the bible (and hell stories) appeal to a certain part of me that loves horror movies? So I am adviced in order for it not to sound like a load of bull- I should bury my face in it all day and all nite? Isn't that utter ignorance? But then what's on the other side of the bargain? Enjoyment? which one-- what type? freedom? from what-- to where?

My dad said God takes pleasure when people choose him, instead of him having to make them. There are more than a billion christians on the planet right now, God must be one jolly fellow; not to count the ones that give their lives to christ every sunday, and take it back for the week. Is the christian God that dumb? It seems he has nothing better to do-- what boredom he must exist in to revel in himself anytime someone gives their lives to him-- I thought he knew that from the beginning of the world, even before he created anything!?

If there is God, there is no choice. If he made you, then he made you do all the things you do. how? What makes you who you are is beyond your control-- you genes and your environment. You did not decide what genes to have, and where you'd be born. For this reason, God has no right (if he's not a kid) to judge a housa man, born muslim to forty prior generations of muslims, that thinks it's right to kill christians. That's how God made him.

Is there an afterlife? I don't think so. But even if there were, there'd be no heaven or hell. And if there's really heaven and hell, then God is not half as smart as Albert Einstein.

this endtime thingy again?

There is no endtime, how is that for bursting your baloney? And of course christians don't want to hear it. I remember several times through history even back up to a thousand years, the end was near.

What makes you think God gives a hoot? And what is his reason for waiting this long? some are already in hell suffering-- and others die 5thousand years later? God knows it's unfair so he has decided he aint coming back.

It absoultely would not be fair to me if I had gone to hell and stayed 5 thousand years just for telling a simple lie, and to share the same punishment with a serial killer that arrived two hours ago. See I'm speaking God's mind here and now.

THUS SAY'TH HE: GO LIVE THINE LIFE, I COMETH NOT!!!

The experience may manifest physically as a chemical reaction, but since consciousness is not physical matter, the manifestation of the death experience on a non-physical level is totally different.
Without the brain there is no consciousness.

All in all, a dying brain reaction can simply not account for the huge catalogue of experiences and visions reported by NDErs.
No. Have you considered that maybe they only "remembered" those experiences when they woke?

If you have time, read up on hypnosis sessions with "alien" abducted victims.

Do you realise that a number of NDEers have returned from the dead with special abilities, knowledge, and insights which have been confirmed as authentic and hitherto beyond the abilities/purview of the experiencer(s)?
Quite possible. You also have to note that on some occasions when there has been a traumatic new ezperience, the brain "re-wires" itself. Sometimes accident victims with brain-damage turn out with higher IQs after healing. Some others have been noted to have changes in their speech intonations, as their brain neurons grew new pathways.

Christianity EtcRe: The Purpose of Life (why were we created?) by macalurs(m): 3:02pm On Sep 18, 2007
Ugly version.

There is no purpose but that you create for yourself. As much as you might want to believe that "God" has a plan for your life-- You made him have a plan. The funny thing is, you never know what the definitive plan is even after you die.

We seek meaning in life because we have evolved in cognition and consciousness. If we go back in time to nigeria, say 100 yrs ago, to them life needed very little purpose. Going back another 300-400, life was simply about survival.

So you see, if you break it down, it all boils down to pre-occupation-- what tickles you and what keeps you. People find their purpose everywhere and in everything; some find it in money/wealth, power, religion, sex, education/literacy, love/intimacy-- you name 'em.

My point is, perception is subjective.

Christianity EtcRe: Is The Bible Complete? by macalurs(m): 5:52pm On Sep 11, 2007
um?

could you please (for information purposes) remind yourself of the question your answering for one last time?
Christianity EtcRe: Is The Bible Complete? by macalurs(m): 6:08pm On Sep 07, 2007
I'm late here but I think I can still add this.

man needs religion. Every human has a void, created by our consciousness, we seek to fill. So people hold on to tradition, religion, wealth, or whatever else-- in quest for meaning. Humans have not been able to condone the fact that there actually could be no God, and that we're just organic matter, and like every other piece of matter, will die and disintegrate.
Some creative individuals that have personal characteristics of leaders rise and draw followers with some ideology, and people follow. Whether the belief is logical or not, they don't care.

Now there's nothing different about christianity-- any religion can be held to adamantly, and fought for, killed for, and even died for. The conscious choice to remain ignorant that people make, is normal. Nothing supernatural about it. All that gives their world meaning is their belief in a higher power. If one were to take that away, humans would become without reason-- just adrift through life.

based on the simple logic i've put forward, the Bible is complete, but to christians. Not every sacred text was included in the bible however. Sacred texts are still written today-- through inspiration of "God", but will go unrecognized, because the readers of the Bible are ok with the way it is. simple.
