A useless club led by a bully with willing and unwilling crew members. Despite all their rhetoric, all of them individually and collectively know that any mistake they make in attacking Russia or Russian interests will lead to a devastating conclusion to their liberal and decadent civilisations. As to the claim on NATO Salesman of the year, Finland and Sweden have been NATO Enhanced Opportunities Partner since 2015 or so. Finland is even a member of NATO's Rapid Reaction Force and they have been doing multiple exercises since time immemorial while being actively courted to formally join NATO since 2010. So nothing changes in terms of their threats to Russia. What simply will happen is that Russia will allocate two Nuclear missiles each for Finland and Sweden and will militarise the border/Islands surrounding Finland & Sweden. This is separate from certain economic decisions that Russia will take which will be harmful to their economies. As for Turkey, I hope they got what they really wanted in return for acceding to Finland & Sweden joining. Nothing spoil. |
frog12:Yes, that's another point |
Ttalk:El-Rufai is very competent but he is also controversial. So he shouldn't be a first pick. Shettima & Zulum are more amenable and equally competent. |
gasparpisciotta:A very good choice, but two issues: 1. Is she interested in leaving her UN post to come and delve into our kind of politics? 2. Will she command the votes? |
Mindlog:APC's underperformance in certain areas, doesn't justify the ineptitude expressed by your candidate in basic economics. He should maintain his Supermarket business, at least he is good in that. As to the second point raised, those whose lives have been transformed by the introduction of the Lagos-Ibadan scheduled Train Service can understand my post. Not shortsighted people like you. Sorry! |
As usual, instead of the people above me to understand the message, they choose to attack the messenger. A Presidential candidate that downplays the stimulating impact of infrastructural development on economic growth is not fit to contest for office. This simply shows a lack of understanding of the fundamentals of socio-economic development. Well as a graduate of Philosophy, not much is expected of him in this area. If you like accept or reject that he is "overrated"....na you sabi |
This life sha. Just imagine if the Political appointees refused to resign before contesting the primaries. Just imagine if one of the Political appointees won the primaries...... That means automatic disqualification! |
Such is life. You can bet that once the substantive VP is nominated, all those 500 messengers will simply shift base. Power, opportunities, connections....all are transient. Don't kill yourself over it. |
Pristine664:Not just decent, very strong. For someone who grew up in Lagos and sincerely compared the state of Lagos before Tinubu became Governor and the state in which he left it, he shouldn't even be facing these kinds of insults from the opposition. Anyways, the man had always been someone with a thick skin, so no shaking. |
Another Nigerian(s) goes to disgrace the Motherland abroad. For Goodness sake, harvesting the organs of a child? When he himself has children...?? Real wonderment! ![]() |
This streets of New York is not different from the Streets of Inner Marina o ![]() |
What an insult! This is direct interference in our electoral process!!! Can the Nigerian Embassy in the US also demand that US residents also get their Voter IDs in preparation for the Mid-term elections?? Will they be happy with that?? Furthermore, we need to institute a law that mandates all NGOs involved in our electoral process to disclose their source of funding. Some of these NGOs are just Special Purpose Vehicles used by US Intelligence agencies to interfere, disrupt and malign our electoral process under the guise of improving it. Ever since Victoria Nuland (the destroyer of Ukraine) came to visit us here, I knew something was being hatched. ![]() |
pquaver:Another emotional and ignorant outburst. You are juxtaposing unrelated issues. Read my post again and complement it with independent research. |
toogbasky:Oshobaba is on assignment for BAT. He his among the team brainstorming on the VP issue, so his hands are full at the moment. |
If APC wins without Aregbesola, then it is bye bye for him with regards to politics in Osun State. Seems that despite all the entreaties and attempts at reconciliation, he has refused to budge. ****The Tinubu factor will play a crucial role in this election though, I see APC winning cleanly. |
Here they come again. Shouldn't there be a law against these things?....just thinking aloud ![]() |
Ignorance is a disease, but seeing the light and still choosing to stay blind is even worse. Read my post that you quoted, this time read slowly seanfer: |
Bomboiy:I think I have some spare time this morning. Please at the bolded, what makes Obi the most qualified and credible. I'm interested in learning. ![]() |
seanfer:What existed between Russia and Ukraine, and by extension the US and UK was a Memorandum and not an agreement. (Research to know the difference). The Memorandum amongst other terms, clearly spelt out that Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity will be respected by Russia, the US and the UK in return for the Neutrality of Ukraine. Ukraine singlehandedly with the help of the Western Paymasters destroyed that Memorandum in February 2014 when it carried out a coup d'etat against its constitutionally elected government and declared in its constitution an intention to join NATO. Secondly, there is this false assumption about Ukrainian nukes. There was no "Ukrainian nukes". All command and control apparatus for Nuclear weapons stationed in Belarus, Ukraine and Kazakhstan were domiciled in Moscow. Furthermore, when the Soviet Union was collapsing, all mobile and Tactical nuclear weapon systems were withdrawn to Russia. So what the Ukrainians had were nuclear missiles sitting in silos, with no means of controlling it (to launch or to detonate). Hence their claim as a Nuclear power is just a charade as it is was clear that the nukes were useless to Ukraine. However, the major reason for concern was if a terrorist purchased or stole the warhead and used it as a dirty bomb in some other part of the world. That is why the Budapest Memorandum also included the destruction of those missiles. |
What Lithuania did is very dangerous and irresponsible. The agreements signed with Lithuania when they were seeking to join the EU, stipulated unrestricted transport of goods between Russian mainland and the enclave of Kaliningrad via Lithuanian territory. This action is tantamount to a declaration of war, as Russia is not trading with Lithuania, but rather transporting its own goods to its own territory which is separate from the mainland (Kaliningrad). A comparison will be Canada restricting trade channels between the American mainland and Alaska which pass through Canadian territory. I do hope the Lithuanian government and by extension the EU Commission have their thinking caps on and quickly choose to walk back on this decision. Due to recklessness on all sides particularly Lithuania and the EU, we are gradually inching to WW3. |
Mumusaphire:Learn to read and comprehend. ![]() |
A lot of Peter Obi's achievements bandied about on Social Media are just plain lies. |
Russia declared that the LPR and the DNR are independent republics separate from Ukraine. Hence, legally speaking they are not invading Ukraine but rather are liberating the territories of the independent republics from Ukrainian occupation. As to the war, same thing applies. There is no war declared on Ukraine, rather a Special Military Operation. A war implies that Russia is seeking to destroy the Ukrainian state both economically and militarily including its political leadership, but that is not the case here. Rather, Russia is still supplying Gas for transit through Ukraine hence there is still economic relations and still engaging in diplomatic negotiations with the same Ukraine implying political relations. Most times, uninformed people talk with sentiments and emotions and not with logical facts backed up by law. |
He can't and won't. They come from way way back. However, a letter of withdrawal has most probably been signed already before his name was used as placeholder. |
Congratulations to BAO! Now endeavour to reconcile the APC family, deliver dividend of democracy to the people and avoid Fayemi's mistakes in governance. All the best. |
NaijaCowFarm:It is not that simple. Election is all about votes and numbers. Irrespective of the sentiments we all share, it is clear that Muslims form the major voting block in the North....at least 70%-80%. Being a Muslim minority from the South and choosing a Christian minority from the North is political suicide. |
To those accusing Tinubu of being indecisive, you need to study politics. Politics involves giving and taking (horse-trading). You don't take unilateral decisions without "carrying others along."My comment on a separate thread. There is no confusion or "scarcity" |
An obvious truth, however sad it may be. It's 1993 all over again. |
emecheboy2:APC is not a fraudsters political party. Yes there are some bad eggs in it as exemplified by this Lawan case, however there are also excellent eggs in it including me. Abeg park your negativity go one side. |
Old picture. Actually, it is the other way round. Kabir Masari came to visit his Asiwaju |
Loving this, a solid networking team. |
There is no problem. Ibrahim kabir Masari and BAT have been close buddies for a long time. He will withdraw accordingly, once consultations have been completed. To those accusing Tinubu of being indecisive, you need to study politics. Politics involves giving and taking (horse-trading). You don't take unilateral decisions without "carrying others along." The choice for VP is Kashim Shettima. However, the Northwest Governors are feeling left out and Tinubu needs to address their concerns. Also, the President is not comfortable directly with a Muslim-Muslim ticket without needed concessions being made to the Christians in APC so as to maintain unity and cohesion, so a sharing formular is being worked out. This is why a substantive VP nominee has not been unveiled. APC is not PDP who unveiled their VP nominee without due consultations with all stakeholders which is now leading to fractions within the party. |
