buksarki:There is a 5th and 6th reason. 5. He doesn't have the capacity or antecedent to do what he is promising 6. He is being projected by secessionists who previously didn't see anything good in Nigeria. |
Fkmodhi:There is nothing worst about TVC. Don't play the game of deflections. TVC is quite balanced and doesn't harangue guests who come on their show or try to force their opinions down the throat others. TVC Breakfast, Your View and This Morning are very very balanced shows. Except you don't watch TVC then you can be making false assumptions. |
It is high time the NBC intervened. |
dangermouse:A leg surgery which was successful is not akin to sickness. Moreso, I did not admit that he has been going abroad for treatment, this is false. He has only gone once as per public records and it was for his leg surgery at John Hopkins. If you have records showing otherwise, then provide it. Kindly quote my words in their proper context. |
dangermouse:Different contexts which aren't comparable. A president is not a driver in the scenario as presented. I have made my choice, feel free to make yours. p.s. There is no factual or empirical evidence proving that Asiwaju Tinubu is sick. |
dangermouse:Sorry, I meant death rumours not death threats.v Asiwaju Tinubu by God's grace and his past antecedents will never be a mistake. |
dangermouse:He never went to Paris. He never returned to Nigeria because of death threats. Yes, he had his surgery in the US and from there proceeded to the UK to recuperate. It was in the UK that all the well wishers including Mr. President met with him. The Sahara Reporters story is cut and join. Half truths, misinformation and disinformation. The totality of which is a hatchet job. |
Na wa o, this political season sef. Fake news flying around left and right. What will Isaac Fayose do now, as he further propagated it. We all should be very careful of what we pick on Social Media. It is well. |
This Sahara Reporters piece is a hatchet job honestly. Sources close to Tinubu had told SaharaReporters that he wanted the surgery in Paris, France but changed his plan over rumours of his death.Just look at this part. He wanted surgery in Paris and then later came back to Nigeria because of death rumours and then went to John Hopkins in US. This is shameless journalism ![]() |
Rufai own don dey too much nowadays. He is very anti-APC, quite antagonistic in his manner of approach and doesn't seem to properly put into context the questions he poses to his interviewees. |
Good news to start the week! Up NAF!! |
There is something wrong with this news o. Which bye-election was conducted in Bauchi? When last I checked, Dogara won the ticket to contest his Federal Constituency on the platform of APC. Abeg make una explain ooo ![]() |
It's ok. I can see that we are on two different spectrums. I don't see the issue the way you do and you don't see the issue the way I do. jimyjames: |
Good one. I hope persons supporting other candidates can equally do same in the South East? |
ajekpaks:Thank you |
jimyjames:You are not getting my point. Scenario 1: Terrorists have attacked ABC village, 3 were killed but the military is currently hunting the terrorists and have assured that they will be dealt with. Our correspondent is currently at the hospital where the injured persons are being treated. Those killed were two men and a woman. The State Governor has promised to cover the hospital bills, while assuring residents that all is being made to keep them secure. Scenario 2: Terrorists have attacked ABC village, 3 persons were killed and the entire village is in panic with people running helter-skelter. The military are currently trying to engage the terrorists, but considering that 6 soldiers were killed last week, we are not sure they will be successful. The terrorists are becoming more and more bolder by the day, and very soon they will overrun the entire LGA and maybe even take over the state. People are evening considering self help, there is disaster everywhere. Please out of the 2 scenarios, which kind of reporting is better for the society? My point is that the press should not magnify or glorify the situation as it is not hopeless. We are in the fight together as Nigerians and the pressmen and presswomen are Nigerians too. If you still don't get my point then....I give up. |
jimyjames:If the press doesn't report what the terrorists do, how will you know? Furthermore, did I claim that kidnappings and killings done by terrorists is a lie? Because I never said so, neither did I imply such. See, I will summarize by saying that you are entitled to your opinion if you are not getting the points I raised. |
jimyjames:And what makes you think that what the bandits said is the ultimate truth? I hope you realize that the aim of the bandits/terrorist is to destabilise the government and sow panic. Remove your bias against the government and re-analyze the situation again. |
lexy2014:Do you know that in Israel, you cannot report on terrorism or counterterrorism stories without first clearing it with the military? Don't promote terrorists. If they carry out any terrorists acts, focus more on the victims and the efforts the government is putting in place to stop them. That is what repressing means. Still in the same line, do you know that immediately after the Guards brigade was attacked and 6 soldiers were killed, the military immediately countered and killed about 30 terrorists in the Bwari forest? It was only The Cable that I recall carrying that news. Why couldn't our mainstream media promote the fact our military are also trying and sometimes dying in this fight? Why the constant to always churn out headlines that are meant to instigate fear? WHY? |
OBAGADAFFI:Show proof where the Bristish media ever gave airtime to a domestic terrorist....starting with the IRA |
This Farooq Kperogi of a guy will just sit abroad and be writing what does not profit us. Kadaria Ahmed was on Arise TV sometime this week and she clearly explained her reasons for condemning the documentary. None of the Western countries which we are so quick to praise will ever allow their domestic terrorists any form of airtime or promote them in any way. What did we gain from watching the documentary? That bandits are powerful? That the bandits cum terrorists are making a lot money from their evil activities? That Fulanis & Hausas are fighting each other? What exactly in that documentary is meant to help us as citizens overcome the menace of these bandits/terrorists? What was in that documentary that could help us heal from the scourge that they have brought on our land? Focus should always be on the victims and how they are struggling to cope through the situation and never on the terrorists who gloat when they are the focus of attention. But then trust my fellow Nigerian youths not to reason things properly. They all went online to start insulting the women and tagging her a "lover of terrorists". It is just sad. P.S. If Oga Farooq is such a press freedom advocate, let him as a Nigerian journalist write articles or present a documentary on school shootings in the US and focus on the perpetrators instead of the victims. Let's see if they won't revoke his visa and sent him back to Nigeria on the first available flight. |
sonature1:How is Obi trustworthy when most of he says are lies? Claiming not to give "shishi" when he clearly does, claiming to wear only one wristwatch when he clearly wears several wristwatches, claiming to have only one house in Anambra, when he has houses both in Lagos & London? This is without even going into his false claims on Statistics. You also talk about Political will, but how do you rate that? Is it just by what he says? In what areas has Obi displayed Political will? What Political will did he display in settling the security issues in Anambra state - especially kidnapping that was rife during his time as Governor or in condemning the calls for division by IPOB? What Political will did he display in settling the crisis between the Catholics and Anglicans in Anambra state? These are important questions to ask. You also talk about stamina, but on what criteria do you use to judge that? How many states did Obi visit during his quest to become the Presidential candidate of the PDP and later that of the Labour party? Or are you implying that because he is younger then he automatically has more stamina? See I have interacted with lots of youths and if you do a deep dive of their understanding on the issues confronting us as a nation and how exactly Obi fits in as the solution, one clearly see that there is no argument. The "love" for Obi is simply being driven by feelings of marginalisation by the Igbos, hatred for Buhari who they perceive is old and has failed them, subtle hatred for Tinubu for allegedly "bringing Buhari", and feelings that the current ruling class has failed them hence the need for radical change while discounting the fact that the same Obi is very much a part of the current ruling class. I won't begrudge your decision, but I do hope that you and other youths in general are not making decisions based on blind emotions. |
Vulturereloaded:Sorry, my mistake. I didn't realize that you are not sensible enough to have a conversation with you. Run your campaigns and threads however you see fit. Bye bye |
Is this how poor your campaigns have now become? Nothing tangible to use in selling your candidate? How have you come this low, to begin wishing someone death as a campaign strategy? What a sorry state you are in. For your information, only God knows tomorrow. |
Too much of fake news everywhere! |
Ok, let's allow the courts to decide then. adesola89: |
MrMcJay:Very apt, you have hit the nail on the head. The issue here is LAWFUL votes and the contention is what happened at Ede. The Electoral rules was contravened when voting was allowed to continue until late into the night. All votes cast after 2pm on that day should be considered as invalid. |
What is wrong with some of you guys sef? Campaigns haven't officially started yet, so why the need to start making TV rounds? When the campaign does start, Asiwaju will visit media houses for TV interviews if that fits into his strategy. Afterall, yesterday he had a press conference with journalists when the DG was presented. Some of you have this secret myopic understanding that Asiwaju is some sort of dunce who will flunk a TV interview. You will be highly disappointed when the time comes. |
OgunkeelAllMod:Irrelevant to you, but not irrelevant to others. |
Cynical and forced evacuation. The Ukranians are simply trying to depopulate the remaining parts of the Donetsk region not yet liberated by the Russian and allied forces. They are just wicked, as they never cared about the people of Donbass who they constantly abused until Russia came in to save them. Rather than excel on the battlefield, they prefer to score cheap propaganda points using their current beneficial relationship with Western mainstream media. Zelensky must face a War Crimes Tribunal |
They went to visit the British High Commissioner, so using the term "received" is misleading as it implies that she went to visit them. Please note! |
Upworkwriter007:Yeah Wamakko nah di Al Capone of Sokoto APC, but I don't think Wike will defect now, because of his own candidates in PDP. He really does have options sha. |
