This is stale. If this is PDP's strategy then they have missed it before it starts. Only people who do not conduct proper research will keep saying that Lagos belongs to one man. There are several power structures in Lagos politics. Tinubu himself is beholden to those structures. |
MyFlair:You can engage in meaningful discussions without throwing insults. I never said Dapo was the right candidate, please read my comment again. Dapo won the primaries and Amosun was trying to pull the rug from under his feet by promoting Akinlade from another party. The plan was to humiliate Dapo at the campaign ground, but Tinubu with the support of Aregbesola stood their ground and ensured that Dapo was given the flag and that Buhari raised his hand up. In the main elections, it was Tinubu using Yayi's structure with Osoba and some others that helped to ensure Dapo's victory. |
CoolAmbience:I don't know if you are Yoruba. If you are not, then I understand why you commented as such. But if you are Yoruba and you are saying this, then it is sad. That's all I have to say. |
Dapo Abiodun shouldn't have responded. What Tinubu said to him was the bitter truth, and perhaps the tone of saying it was not right but his response simply shows that he doesn't deserve Tinubu's respect. In his mind, he is subtly saying that Tinubu is an emperor. But that same "emperor" insisted on the right thing to be done in 2019 which was to your benefit. This are life lessons, you can only trust yourself. |
Mooh247:The bolded is wrong, Osinbajo was live at the venue. However, he failed to show leadership. While the entire brouhaha was going on, it was Aregbesola that spoke up against what the supporters of Amosun were doing and it was Tinubu who went to take the party flag and give it to Oshiomole so that he could publicly hand over same to Dapo Abiodun. What the VP did, telling them to raise "ika ilabe" and sing "oke oke lanlo ooo" was quite pathetic. He might be a quiet person, but there are times when you need to put your foot down and publicly speak against what is wrong and that is a sign of leadership. As for Dapo Abiodun, in his privacy he knows that if not for the influence BAT and coalition of certain Ogun stakeholders, he won't be there in the Governorship sit. |
Wait oo, is it Tinubu that conducted primaries in Kosofe LGA? This headline is misplaced. |
Let's watch as it unfolds |
It will be hard for the Governors to come to an agreement except if it will result in one of theirs taking the ticket. Even then, to get other aspirants to agree to such consensus arrangement will be an uphill task. |
Okhuadams:Geopolitics 101 - Every country has its right to sovereignty, but in exercising such sovereignty, it shouldn't become a threat to others. For example, Niger Republic is a sovereign nation. What if it officially decides that Boko Haram is not a terrorist organisation but rather are freedom fighters who deserve to be protected, armed and provided with financial support in its struggle against Nigerian forces. What do you think Nigeria's rational response will be? Would we respect Niger's sovereignty and do nothing, or would we immediately mobilize and quickly destroy the threat that Niger Republic is posing to us? Think and answer. |
Is he the ONE? |
Okhuadams:It is not as simple as that. Russia and Ukraine are brotherly nations. There are three brothers forming the Rus Trinity (Russia, Ukraine & Belarus). Russia has enemies in the West (chiefly the US & UK) and those enemies used Ukraine as a sword to bait Russia by capitalizing on Ukrainian Nationalism to cause a coup in 2014 and thereafter a Civil war thereafter between the Russian speaking East of Ukraine and the Ukrainian Nationalists who are majorly from Western Ukraine. The further threats of inducing Ukraine to join NATO and placing American weapons on Ukrainian territory was a step too far for the Russians. Hence what we are seeing today. |
Massiveglory:The funny thing here is that Russia has never declared the UK as an enemy. Russia didn't declare war on the UK and yet see how they have gone to egregious lengths to spread false rumours, spread lies and propaganda and what not. I wonder where the hate come from. Ever since Margaret Thatcher and an exception for John Major, all other British Prime Minister's have just been a bunch of jokers. |
Joke taken too far. The idiots in London were the first to start with this wicked rumours: Putin is sick, yet the UN Secretary General flew to Moscow and met him personally in late April Putin is sick and has Parkinsons, yet he personally led the Victory Day parade on May 9, standing for hours and even partaking in the immortal regiment March. Putin is sick and has cancer, yet the Austrian Chancellor flew to Moscow to see him in the first week of May to beg for new gas contract in Rubles Putin is sick and dying, yet he had a three way phone call with the French President - Macron and German Chancellor - Scholz on Sunday, May 29th Putin is sick and unable to speak, yet he had a phone call with Turkish President - Erdogan yesterday to discuss Ukraine, Syria and the freeing of Turkish ships in Ukraine's ports. Now, Putin is "dead" and a "body double" has taken his place. It is finally confirmed, the British government and its intelligence structures are populated by idiots. The British are terribly pained because their "Ukraine will prevail project" is crumbling before their eyes. |
This isn't surprising as he is the top candidate to beat. Hence, more and more attacks will be launched in finding ways to pull him down. Well what is surprising though, is that the person making this fresh allegation is allegedly an "Osinbajo supporter" All is fair in love, war and politics ![]() |
Typical Polish attitude. Always whining and whining. Why don't you request that Barcelona meets the terms set by Bayern Munich and off you go! Instead of this media crying, which will only diminish his standing amongst Bayern Munich fans. If they decide to keep you, will you bang your head on the wall? All this "Primadonna" players sef ![]() |
Sorry, I thought I saw Benin somewhere. Modified. Evidenx: |
just2endowed:Biolabs owned and operated by the US Military? On Nigerian soil? Sorry, I don't agree with your argument sir. This is the same AIDs was being researched and see where we are at today. There is a sinister aspect to these labs, and the Nigerian government should investigate the real purpose of these Biolabs before things get out of hand. |
The Russian Ministry of Defense said that the Biolabs of the United States Military located in 3 cities of Nigeria, specifically; Lagos, Abuja and Zaria was the source of the Monkeypox outbreak. Please this should be properly investigated, as I wonder why Nigeria will consent for Biolabs of a foreign power to be established on its soil. https://www.wionews.com/world/monkeypox-russia-alleges-us-labs-in-nigeria-spreading-the-disease-482819 |
seunmsg:Hmmn. From observations, Atiku has done his homework. He will carry the day. |
fergie001:They should. While I don't particularly have sympathies for PDP, they should play the APC at their own game. Insought, they should fix their special convention on June 6-7. Nobody be fool. ![]() |
SledgeHammerer:Yes, same also with MOB. Fences have been mended. |
What's with this Otedola bridge? The State Government needs to come up with a comprehensive plan on safety measures along this route. Year after year, something must always happen on Otedola bridge. Enough is enough abeg. Lagos State Safety Commission should develop a plan and share same with LASTMA, Ministry of Works and other relevant Departments/Agencies to implement. As to the people scooping fuel, well there is nothing to say. It is greed and not poverty that is doing them. |
This is an exceptional manifesto. Now, let's see if he gets the party's ticket. |
Hmmn. Earnestly watching ![]() |
tinsel:Seems Obi is heading to Labour Party. |
Osinbajo is the sitting Vice President travelling with the paraphernalia of office. He will always draw crowds wherever he goes. However, that doesn't necessarily translate to electoral value. Just saying. ![]() |
Is this the new alignment? Politics nah film show ![]() Modified: What game is Kwankwaso playing? He is already the presidential candidate of NNPP, so is he looking to bring Peter Obi onboard? Make we dey watch. |
Can you highlight (with supporting proof) what he said that isn't true? I'm earnestly waiting oo Simeonjoe1: |
AldrichAmes:I find it refreshing when reading comments from persons who know history and the complex web of international geopolitics. Kudos to you sir/ma. |
