Dapo won the primaries and Amosun was trying to pull the rug from under his feet by promoting Akinlade from another party. The plan was to humiliate Dapo at the campaign ground, but Tinubu with the support of Aregbesola stood their ground and ensured that Dapo was given the flag and that Buhari raised his hand up.

In the main elections, it was Tinubu using Yayi's structure with Osoba and some others that helped to ensure Dapo's victory.

What Tinubu said to him was the bitter truth, and perhaps the tone of saying it was not right but his response simply shows that he doesn't deserve Tinubu's respect.

In his mind, he is subtly saying that Tinubu is an emperor. But that same "emperor" insisted on the right thing to be done in 2019 which was to your benefit.

However, he failed to show leadership. While the entire brouhaha was going on, it was Aregbesola that spoke up against what the supporters of Amosun were doing and it was Tinubu who went to take the party flag and give it to Oshiomole so that he could publicly hand over same to Dapo Abiodun.

What the VP did, telling them to raise "ika ilabe" and sing "oke oke lanlo ooo" was quite pathetic.

He might be a quiet person, but there are times when you need to put your foot down and publicly speak against what is wrong and that is a sign of leadership.

As for Dapo Abiodun, in his privacy he knows that if not for the influence BAT and coalition of certain Ogun stakeholders, he won't be there in the Governorship sit.

Wait oo, is it Tinubu that conducted primaries in Kosofe LGA?

Russia has enemies in the West (chiefly the US & UK) and those enemies used Ukraine as a sword to bait Russia by capitalizing on Ukrainian Nationalism to cause a coup in 2014 and thereafter a Civil war thereafter between the Russian speaking East of Ukraine and the Ukrainian Nationalists who are majorly from Western Ukraine. The further threats of inducing Ukraine to join NATO and placing American weapons on Ukrainian territory was a step too far for the Russians.

Hence what we are seeing today.

Biden isn’t a weakling - he’s just a face of the power brokers and powerful force that run the US - just like every other US president. It’s by design and US presidents are mostly controlled puppets. Obama also wasn’t the one running things when he was the US president.

It’s also a misconception that the US was feared by all. That’s just make-believe like Hollywood movies. Those who fear the US are European countries and 3rd world countries. Countries like Russia and China have never feared the US. The US just never really troubled them until now. And what they’re doing now is basically reacting to American threats on their borders.

People tend to forget the poor China was the one that did most of the fighting during the Korean War against the US and allied countries and the Chinese technically won that war (but it’s regarded as a stalemate officially). And that was the US at its peak militarily because it was vastly superior to every other country on earth militarily (save for the Soviet Union) and China at its lowest both militarily and economically. So why would a country that pulled that off fear the US? And Americans have always been weary of Russia because it inherited almost everything Americans feared about the Soviets.

Regardless, NATO needs to be really scared. No NATO country has fought a country as strong as Ukraine on the ground since the end of WW2. Fighting defenceless goat herders is different from fighting a formidable peer military that has a lot of support. And Russia is currently doing that with a fraction of its military (less than 10%) despite being outnumbered by 4:1 and they’re achieving results (despite initial setbacks) whilst rotating forces to get the needed frontline experience and tactical battlefield awareness. Combine that with the Chinese and US + NATO countries don’t stand a chance in a real shooting match.

I find it refreshing when reading comments from persons who know history and the complex web of international geopolitics. Kudos to you sir/ma.
