I want all Christians to state why they believe in Jesus, And give prove that Christianity is not a false religion created for political advantages by The Romans.

I want Christians to prove that Judaism(Israel's religion) is superior to Yoruba spirituality.

The reason for the above is because Christianity was formed from Judaic doctrines

I want Christians to prove that Jesus is the only son of God

OLAADEGBU: The "circular reasoning" argument is absurd. That’s like saying you can't prove that the Obama lives in the White House by looking into the White House. It is looking into the White House that will provide the necessary evidence you need to verify whether he lives there or not. The fulfilled prophecies, the amazing consistency, and the many scientific statements of the Bible are evidence that the Bible to be the Word of God. They provide evidence that it is supernatural in origin.
The bible and the Koran are not the word of God.
They are the imaginations of Men

The prophet was monotheist from birth.

He started to receive revelation at 40. But the book was written and completed long before creation.
HE was a pagan. His family's God was Allah.
when he got influenced by the jews, he simply created a religion where only Allah existed.

truthislight: Men, i dont know why you are running from the points i presented to you base on your statement that "christianity was not supposed to get to other nations but Israel.

I proceeded to show to you that it was Yahweh's plans from the onset to reach all nations.

He had told Abraham, by means of his seed, 'all nations' of the earth will certainly bless themselves.

Address this post properly and not just preoccupied with what you want to say that is not all true.

peace.
He told Abraham? who is the "he"? wat god is that?

typical jewish mentality, they believe they are superior to others.

And you should know that Peter and Paul had several arguments concerning Paul's preaching to the gentiles

The Gentiles never needed any light from the Jews.
every nation has a light of its own.

I dont subscribe to mental slavery and dependence on foreign powers.

the theme of "salvation for the gentiles" is false, Gentiles never preached any Jewish messiah so why should they believe in a false Jewish messiah?

Oduduwaboy: Religion!!!....why does man ever have to defend God? If God is up there why can't He just lovingly reveal himself to us his little ignorant children at least once in every generation of about 80 years?

@ Op ....your points are valid and i also seek same answers as you . I spent many years in the church and never once saw a miracle though the bible promised us many. Please, i was devoted to 'God ' and sincere in heart .

Please, posters should be honest, truthful and sincere in there responses . Apart from your imaginary faith , is there any other evidence you can use to convince someone born into an areligious household to believe in a God?
omo Oodua, how much do you know about the religion of our ancestors?

Luke never knew Yeshua, he was still a kid when Yeshua was still alive. All he wrote in his book was based on his sentiments and plan to create a new religion. He was always working under the instruction of Paul.
Luke was half Greek, half Syrian. And he was a pagan. He was also an historian by profession.

Christianity Etc › Re: Did God Stop Writing After The Bible And Koran? by macof(m): 4:15pm On Nov 04, 2013
The Torah was given by Moses unto the Israelis
The remaining part of the Tanakh was compiled by Romans, after reviewing many letters and books written by earlier Jews
The Bible has a large portion of the Tanakh(Its Old Testament), The New testament was also compiled by Romans after the had successfully created Christianity, they didnt things to compel humans, The Bible was the start.

The koran was inspired by Jews.
Mohammed was born a pagan, but influenced by the Jews to create a monotheist religion.

Christianity Etc › Re: "Why Is Christianity Better Than Other Religions?" by macof(m): 3:44pm On Nov 04, 2013
OLAADEGBU: No religion other than Christianity has a book like the Bible that tells us about the origin of everything and who we are, where we came from, what our problem is (sin) and what the solution to our sin problem is. No religion has a Saviour who is alive (He arose from the dead). All other religions require people to do something to work out their future - only Christianity has the solution that we can't save ourselves, only God can do it. So how can know we if other religions are not true?

If they don't agree with the Bible they are not true! There are two main tests. First, any religion that claims to be true must believe that Jesus is God! Jesus Himself told us that He and the Father are one. Many religions talk about God a lot, but if they don't believe in our Lord Jesus Christ and that He is God, and they don't believe that Jesus' death on the cross and His resurrection results in our sin being forgiven if we will receive it, then it is not the truth!

Second, is to find out if they believe that salvation is given to those who trust in Jesus. There is nothing you can do to save yourself. We could never do enough good works to get us to heaven, but Jesus did it when He died for us! Jesus Christ is the way, the truth and the life.
this comment is actually dumb
the thread topic is about "no religion is better than christianity" you now post this trash saying "any religion that isnt christianity is false"

you should know that Judaism(christianity's father religion) is still practiced today. if u say judaism has been false all along, that means christianity is also false.

The apostles were tagged as liars and besides the NT is full of modifications by the Vatican, its not an honest record of Yeshua's life.

Also, luke and Paul never knew Yesua, but in the NT it seemed as if they were so close to him. you can imagine Luke's version being part of the bible when Andrew's version isnt

3. What has your god has in plan for my future.
4. Where does this god say i will go after my death and why
5.If there is no place why will i serve him
6. Can he die for me.
7. Can he forgive me without pouring oil on it.
8. Why i must make a representation of your god in my house
9. Why i must agree to sacrifice human to this gods
10. Why it is only your god we can kill human for to get money..
am nt pagan9ja. He'll reply u in his own religious belief but for now....
1. You gain favor and help with any difficulty u face in life
2. Honestly you wouldn't lose anything just because you refuse to honor God, my God isnt hungry for worship, he doesnt command any human to worship him. All you have to do in life is to follow ur conscience and balance ur good with the evil of ur heart, if you dont you would lose everything.
3. The universe is eternal and re-occuring. Our human minds have far lower consciousness than in the afrterlife, as such only Ifa and Ori can help us understand what the future holds for us.
4. You return to him in heaven because that is your home
5. huh No one is forcing u to serve him, your service to God doesn't change who he is.
6. God cannot die
7. God holds no grudge, the basis for forgiveness is in the law of karma(for every good u do, good shall return to you. And any evil u do, evil shall follow u)
8. you dont have to
9. No one sacrifices humans to any god
10. No one kills humans for the gods.

truthislight: I take this to mean that you are saying that Yahweh never meant to reach out to gentiles.

If so, then read the paasage below.

(Isaiah 49:6).
"And he said, It is a light thing that you should be my servant to raise up the tribes of Jacob, and to restore the preserved of Israel: 'I will also give thee for a light to the Gentiles, that thou mayest be my salvation unto the end of the earth." (Isaiah 49:6).

Paul quoted the those scriptures while preaching to gentiles:

(Acts 13:47).
"For so hath the Lord commanded us, saying, I have set thee to be a light of the Gentiles, that you should be for a salvation unto the ends of the earth." (Acts 13:47).

One thing i give to you is that christianity was corrupted by constantine and his clique, but that has not changed the plans of Yahweh.

Again, paul was baptised by Ananias, check your facts well.

Peace
to the bold- am so sorry I totally forgot that.

now to the rest-
1. The other nations dont need Yahweh, they have their own God.
2. The jews are the worst racist and tribalist in history, Nothing they do is ever meant for non-jews
3. The only the reason why Christianity is a world wide practiced religion unlike judaism is beacuse of Paul's mentality wasnt like the other jews
4. Christianity was only accepted by constatine due to its political advantage.
5. Before christianity got to roman hears, it was not a separate religion. it was only a clique for the devote apostles of yeshua.
6. The jews never preached about salvation of sin in the way christianity does. salvation and forgiveness in Judaism is achieved through confession, prayer, offering and repentance.
7. The jewish spirituality is superior to others, I dont see why non-jews should subscribe to jewish laws

the bolded is what I regard as false
debosky: SMH. . . .y'all should go argue with your mates instead of picking on Josh. He clearly doesn't know how your crew operates hence his stumbling into your traps. grin

Slavery was acceptable to God in the OT - there's little or no reason to consider otherwise. However, the question is whether this was a 'situational' acceptance (based on prevailing circumstances) or universal acceptance. That question has not been addressed here.

Slavery is bad in whatever guise, brutal or otherwise - subjugating another human being isn't acceptable even if you treat them 'nicely'.

What I'll say is this - for a time only Israelites could legitimately worship God, eventually all can if they accept Jesus. I believe a similar principle applies to slavery - for some time it was acceptable, but not eventually has become unacceptable since all can now worship Christ - therefore there is no more division between 'foreigners' and 'Jews' - all are acceptable to God.
It was never only israel that could legitimately worship God.
Ancient Yoruba had their way of honoring God but we didnt consider non-yoruba to be anti-God, or demon worshippers yet we didnt use our own as slaves.

its like that everywhere, People dont use their own people as slaves.

Christianity was first practiced by the apostles of yeshua.
They believed he was the Messiah of the Jews, even tho all other Jews didn't believe,
besides yeshua was dead already,
he couldn't have been the Messiah, yeshua didn't fulfill the prophecy.
When the Jews at the time were against the apostles for being Christians, claiming it was blasphemy.

The Jews contracted Paul who later claimed to convert to christianity.
No one knows why Paul converted but it's clear that his conversion was the biggest advantage for christianity.

Paul never knew yeshua, but he knew most of the apostles(became an apostles himself). Paul was a different kind of apostle.
1. He was half Roman, half Jew
2. He had multiple religions; Mithraism and judaism(later christianity)
3. He was more intelligent and educated than all the other apostles
4. He enjoyed lots of immunity
5. He was the one to initiate the conversion of non-Jews into christianity(at first christianity wasn't suppose to be outside Jewish territory)
6. He got into many arguments with the other apostles, especially Simon Peter.
7. He wrote about 60% of the New testament.
8. He always referred to yeshua as his personal God and savior
9. He wrote to convince that yeshua was not only for the Jews but also for the gentiles(this was not the original plan)
10. He and Peter were the founding fathers of christianity in Rome.

1. Constatine became the first Christian emperor of Rome.
2. He was a political leader, who just had half his power relieved from his office, and had to fight his way up to re-acquire it(at that time, Rome had been controlled by a civil office and military office)
3. He funded Christians, built the first churches, stopped prosecution.
4. He created his own Bible
5. He made christianity part of Roman law
6. He re-acquired both civil and military leadership.
7. He made Christians part of his inner circle
8. He set up the catholic and orthodox churches.
9. He put huge taxes on non-Christians, and had his army preach in the name of Yeshua as they killed those who didn't believe them.
10. He wasn't baptized until he was about to die.

The Romans who had newly become Christians, still devoted to their pagan gods continued to honor them. The temples of their gods were not destroyed but turned into churches.

The Romans have been modifying religions and undergoing conversions for hundreds of years before christianity.
From Greek paganism, to Kemetism, to Mithraism to catholism.

If you check out the similarities between these religions you would be shocked to what you would find.

Catholism was only created for political purposes, the rituals and ceremony which the Romans did in previous religions were carried into catholism.

Historians and religious scholars accuse them of editing the NT.

Jesus- real name yeshua, wasn't the true Messiah.
If he was the Jews would have accepted him.

In my opinion those miracles he did were made up by his apostles or Romans.

It's very unlikely that the Jews rejected Jesus because he was trying to modify the Torah.
The Jews have a list of criteria which the Messiah must do in order to prove himself.

Jesus failed in meeting up with the criteria, so when he claimed to be the Messiah the Jews got angry and called him a blasphemer.
You know in judaism, blasphemy is unforgivable and punishable by death.

The Jews actually believe yeshua is in hell now.

By evidence of the Bible, Jesus wasn't born December, but Mithra was.
The Romans have taken a lot from their previous religions into christianity.

The Romans made christianity is a bid to acquire more political power
