It's not possible, unless someone didn't show up for documentation then you can be replaced but even that one go hard. If your connect couldn't get your name among those who are documenting, that means his/her legs are not long enough to get you in after documentation.

It's not. If it was the PRO would have mentioned it. Anyways no thanks to my former work place I'm fully vaccinated in case it immediately becomes a requirement.

Nothing is being started afresh. You have gotten the job. Am curious though, why do you seem sceptical, abi you think you don't deserve to have been shortlisted and if you were to go through the screening process again you won't pass.

Your question brings to mind a lady that documented and collected APL but said she won't resume training because she was told camp will be rigorous due to military kind of drills and she knows she won't be able to cope.

From what my friend who just did NDLEA POP, apart from lectures, it's mostly marching drills then once in a while jogging and obstacle crossing that is done in camp. Then maybe small small punishment like that. Unless you can't endure all that due to an ailment or chronic laziness, I don't see what you should be scared of, abi you're undisciplined and get coconut head and don't plan on obeying orders?

On the issue of mobile phones:
You're allowed to go in with your phones but you can't use them outside BN lines (Hostel). Thing is you might not need to press phone sef do the first few months because you will be so engaged.

Also, I'd advice when you get to camp please and please be careful how you use mobile phones and what you post online. In fact, the service will brief us on the first day on the do's and don'ts. Handbook will be given to us regards the rules. Please let's follow it.
Anybody wey Dem go send go house at this stage just know say Village people dn blow powder for that person head but it's not our portion.

Phone or not, the important concern for me is whether the food there is nice and the portion enough. Are there restaurants that you can buy food or its strictly the food we will be served. And finally can I still come with my already bought white vest, shoes and shorts since the PRO said we'll be provided with training kits.

With all these verification of local government indigenship going on by each state for those already shortlisted as requested by Customs, anyone thinking of using any local government from his/her real one should be careful.

Those of una wey dey wait notice, e be like una no know say na paramilitary Customs be. It's all about command and obey. Highest they may give might not be more than 72hrs if you like no report dey wait two weeks or one month notice. Make sure you are ready any day, anytime. Your notice might not be more than 3 days. I don talk my own o.

Thank God na your own you talk so and it can never be the only way things are done. My own is that even military that customs tend to follow it's regimented way dey give at least a week notice to report for training, who be customs? If they're to give us such short notice, they won't give the trainers.

If you're someone that is contented with what you have at any point in time, you won't mind the comparison between GD and SS. For those on level 08 unless you're coming from a wealthy home (which in my opinion you don't even need customs job) that salary is enough for you to cater for your family and leave a comfortable life. Heck some of us were raised by teacher parents with their shitty salaries and we were still comfortable and went to good schools.

Another marketer from one of the PFAs approached me outside while I wan filling a form to discuss his PFA (sorry can't remember the name again), as soon as I told that I already have an account with a PFA, he backed off.

I haven't even done my documentation yet. I'm talking of my current workplace. Right now i have Stanbic which my former employer have stopped remiting to and ARM pension which my current employer is remitting to. So your assertion that you can't have more than one PFA is wrong and misleading. Not trying to prove any point to you, but just to let you know that I registered with a different PFA while already registered with another PFA.

You will be given 2 file folders each, your four passports will be attached to each folder, each folder contains the same form and one of the folders will contain an extra form. You will have to fill all the forms, but it's not every detail in the form you will fill


An advice: the form sample is being sold for 100 at the photocopy stand, buy it and fill it as a template, once you are done filling it, meet with one of the customs officer, light skinned, using glasses to help you verify it, once he has verified it for you, then transfer it to the forms you will be given.


You will need to get two postcard stamp, it's being sold for #100 each and affix it on your forms.

After you are done filling it, you will place 2 photocopies of all your documents in each folder in this arrangement order (appointment letter, primary school certificate, O level certificate, higher level certificate (where applicable), citizenship/indigene letter, birth certificate, and acceptance letter) note, I placed all the other forms in the folders under these arrangements.


Please ensure you write your phone number on your folders.


After these, you then proceed to queue for submission where your folders will be checked and your name will be marked. Then you will be assigned service number.

The next officer will take your folder and document your name, service number, state of origin, LGA, results etc.

The next place will be the ICT officer who will enter your details into the system.

The next stage is to submit your folders and collect the form for pension.

Note: I mentioned to the officer that I already have a pension account but the officer said I have to open another one.

The officer was wrong, you can't have more than 1 pension account. The new form you filled is invalid.

Just go to your PFA and provide information about your new job, that's all.

Sorry to say. But you're wrong on this. I have two pension account. When I resumed my recent job I told them I already have a pension account from my previous employer but they insisted I open another one with a different PFA of their choice, which I did.

For lawyers out of the 13 names that came out in the supplementary list and went for screening in Abuja, only 3 were shortlisted in the final list and it was only 15 lawyers shortlisted in the final list. Apart from age, only them know the criteria they used to select this final list.

According to Customs PRO he gave the breakdown as follows: Level 8 - 429, Level 6 - 397, Level 4 - 464, and Level 3 - 253, bringing it to a total of 1,543.

Omo! From my understanding it's like it's easier to get promoted as a general duty staff than as a support staff. If I'm wrong then why the low number of support staff promoted, just a meagre 200+ out of 2000+ promotion.

Anyone who has a degree/masters but applied and was given APL based on SSCE should know that they're not entitled to promotion/conversion/upgrade or whatever it is termed later on with the degree/masters. It is easier for a recruit to get approved study leave then after graduation applies and get his promotion than you that got APL with degree/masters. Know this and know peace!
