Christianity Etc › Re: Can God Blame Me For Not Telling A Church Member What God Told Me As A Pastor? by madridsta007(m): 11:25am On Aug 16, 2020 |
Beosten: Let me start from here: I have what it takes to be a pastor and I had numerous visions that confirmed my calling. But I have a disability, and I refused to go into pastoral ministry since 2005. I came into the full-time ministry a few months ago. I came into the ministry because it seemed God was the one punishing me for refusing to do the needful.
Then a church member came to me for blessing saying that her child already procured visa to travel out. That was before covid19 break. I prayed for the child. But God revealed to me in a vision at night that the child should not leave Nigeria, and that it will end in tears. I didn't tell them anything about the vision and the child left Nigeria.
The child has just been deported and a lot of money down the drain.
How should a pastor handle this kind of thing without offending those looking for counseling? I will pray for forgiveness, but can God hold me accountable for this error? There was a time that I had a dream of an aircrash. It was very clear and I told someone close to me. I didnt pray. Two weeks later, there was a plane crash. Exact plane I saw, exact location, everything was exact. I am still pained each time I remember it. However, I asked God for forgiveness and I know better if it happens again. God will forgive when you repent and ask for forgiveness. However, if it happens again TELL the person and ignore the emotional consequences. |

Day after day, he kept churning articles on Facebook hailing Buhari as the next Messiah and criticising GEJ as the worst thing next to Satan. I asked him if he would hire Buhari, based on his CV, to lead a company he owns and the guy blocked me...” Today, like the multitude of “intellectual Buharists” he lives in regret. This is why I’ve always pleaded with people never to emotionalise decisions. Clear-thought, objectivity and standards should follow decisions. Only Nigerians are targeted. There are also laws against illegal mining in Ghana, yet there are thousands of Chinese, Indians and Lebanese mining gold illegally there with impunity. So, Ghana has laws. Just that they only enforce them on Nigerians. Nigeria kicked out thousands of Ghanaians in a “Ghana Must Go” campaign some decades ago. No country ever forgets. Because a “country” is made up of people and people neither forgive nor forget. |

Nigerians should stop that nonsense display of pride that hasn’t gotten them 24hr light. Nigeria is currently governmentless and leaderless and I suspect every reasonable nation on earth knows this. Hence the impunity Chinese, Lebanese, Indian, business men undertake in their business dealings in Nigeria. Hence Ghana's current adversarial behaviour. I foresee South Africa, Kenya, etc, doing something similar. If I was a foriegn policy member of a foriegn country, I would ensure that my currently descends heavily on Nigeria. ALEX182: So I have this American patient who I recently came across. He's a fat dude who is like in his late 40s but has a very jolly and likeable character. I introduced myself and we got talking afterwards.
After a while of chitchat, he asked me where I was from. I told him to take a guess and he said said, you sound like you're Nigerian. I told him (regrettably) that I was Nigerian. He started smiling and told me that he had a Nigerian girlfriend and that we both had similar accents.
He then started telling me recent occurrences that had befallen his girlfriend in Nigeria. He said the lastest story was that she was in Abuja and as she was on her way to the airport in a taxi, the taxi had an accident and she was seriously injured and had to be rushed to the hospital. He said that the hospital demanded money before treatment started and he had to hustle about $4000 and send to her in order for treatment to start.
He said that after a week of her being in the hospital, they wanted to discharge her despite her still being in pain. Because she had exhausted all the $4000 on treatment, he said the hospital had threatened to discharge her on the streets and he was trying to borrow more money to see if he could send it to her so they could continue with her treatments.
He furthermore told me that the girlfriend said that she was a Nigerian American citizen who was currently stuck in Nigeria due to her passport having expired and also due to Covid lockdown at airports in Nigeria. He said she had asked him for $300 to renew her US passport from American embassy in Nigeria.
Another thing that he told me was that just before covid struck, there was a similar pandemic which happened in Nigeria early this year and that his girlfriend had contracted the disease and he had to send her $2000 for treatment. Right now he said he's broke but is waiting for like $2000 disability check from the US government next week which he will send to her as soon as the money clears.
As he was telling me this tale, I was so angry with Nigerians and how they take advantage of people in love to scam them. I wanted to swear for the scammers
I'm at a dilemma here. Do I tell him that he's being scammed by Nigerians or do I continue to be professional and just ignore it. Because I don't want him to think I'm involved with it because these oyinbo people can turn everything on your head and accuse you that is your people in conjunction with you that are scamming him. They are that crazy. The good part of me wants to help him but I'm hesitant that it may turn out bad for me. Please matured responses. Please tell him. How difficult is it for you to do? I mean, if you need to come to the open to tell someone that he is being defrauded, then something must be wrong with your conscience. PLEASE TELL HIM!!! |

Hashimyussufamao: Death Sentence For Blasphemy At Kano: A Perspective by O. G. Chukkol
I have been following arguments on social media for the past two days about the death sentence passed on one Yahaya Aminu Sheriff for blasphemy (insulting prophet Mohammed PBH) at Kano.
Let me make few observations here:
1. There is actually a Shariah Penal Code law in Kano state
2. The said Shariah Penal Code makes provision for offences and punishments recognized in Islam
3. The Shariah Penal Code Law prohibits blasphemy and a violator risks death sentence. See section section 382 thereof.
4. The Shariah Penal Code Law of Kano applies to Muslims only
5. The Shariah Penal Code Law of Kano does not apply to non Muslims. So a Christian or any other non Muslim cannot be prosecuted under the law except if he consents to it
6. Sheriff was tried and convicted under the Shariah Penal Code Law because he was a Muslim.
7. Sheriff has the right to appeal to a higher court for his conviction to be reviewed or set aside if the trial court was wrong.
8. Governor of Kano State has the final say on Sheriff's conviction. He can pardon Sheriff and allow him go free or change the punishment or sign death warrant for Sheriff to be executed/killed as ordered by court
9. A non Muslim who insults prophet Mohammed or commits any other form of blasphemy can at best be tried under the general Penal Code law for defamation or breach of public peace or any other related offence depending on exactly what the person says
In view of the foregoing, I will completely refrain from commenting on the appropriateness of death sentence for blasphemy because it is an Islamic injunction entrenched in a written law. Besides, I may not even be objective about it because I am not a Muslim, but a Christian. I will only end up pouring my sentiment in the guise of criticism. To me, is not even logical to use my religion to condemn another religion.
I submit further, for the purpose of emphasis, that the offence of blasphemy applies to Muslims only and they are in support of it. They are comfortable with it because their religion provides for it. I cannot take panadol for somebody's headache
Had it been the offence applies to non Muslims also, I would have immediately condemned it for being unconstitutional.
It should be noted that the Shariah Penal Code was enacted pursuant to section 38 of the constitution which provides for right to freedom of religion and sections 4 and 6 of the constitution which gives states power to make laws and also establish courts for themselves and also section 36(12) which provides that person can be convicted for an offence only if the said offence is defined in a written law with sanctions attached.
That is to say, the Supreme Law of the land has given them backing. They can practice their religion provided that a non Muslim shall not be affected
Let me drop my pen here. Everything I put down here is strictly my opinion and I may be wrong.
Greetings Ladies and gentlemen
Chukkol
https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=1905827216221167&id=100003817221624 He is a Muslim, it is an Islamic law. They will sort themselves out. |

Ctorch: there are some places that are forbidden to visitors except you’re a researcher or a daredevil willing to part with your health or life in some cases.
Listed below are 5 forbidden places that you should take off your travel bucket list:
1 North Sentinel Island
North Sentinel Island is one of the Andaman Islands, in the Bay of Bengal. The heavily forested island is surrounded by coral reefs and lacks natural harbours.
But finding a harbour should be the least of your worries as you may not make it to the shore because the island is home to the Sentinelese, an indigenous people in voluntary isolation who have rejected, often violently, any contact with the outside world. They are among the last tribal people to remain virtually untouched by modern civilisation.
In January 2006, two fishermen fishing illegally in prohibited waters were killed by the Sentinelese when their boat drifted too close to the island. In November 2018, John Allen Chau, a 26-year-old US missionary was killed during an illegal trip to the restricted island, planning to preach Christianity to the Sentinelese.
The area is patrolled by the Indian Navy.
2 Snake Island
The official name of this infamous island off the coast of Brazil is Ilha da Queimada Grande.
The island is thought to have a population of about 430,000 snakes. However, recent estimates are much lower. According to some estimates, there is one snake in each square meter of the island. The island is the only home of the critically endangered, venomous Bothrops insularis (golden lancehead pit viper), one of the deadliest snakes in the world.
Queimada Grande is closed to the public to protect both people and the snake population; access is only available to the Brazilian Navy and selected researchers vetted by the Chico Mendes Institute for Biodiversity Conservation, the Brazilian federal conservation unit.
3 Svalbard Global Seed Vault
The Svalbard Global Seed Vault is a secure seed bank on the Norwegian island of Spitsbergen.
The seed bank’s mission is to provide a safety net in the event of accidental loss of diversity in traditional genebanks due to mismanagement, accident, equipment failures, funding cuts, natural disasters, regional or global catastrophe.
The seed vault functions like a safe deposit box in a bank. The bank owns the building and the depositor owns the contents of his or her box. The 11,000-square-foot facility is protected by highly advanced security systems and access is strictly limited to a handful of employees.
4 Poveglia Island
Poveglia is a small island located between Venice and Lido in the Venetian Lagoon, northern Italy.
For more than 100 years beginning in 1776, the island was used as a quarantine station for those suffering the plague and other diseases, and later as a mental hospital. The mental hospital closed in 1968, and the island has been vacant since.
Poveglia has long been considered one of the most haunted places on earth. Rumour has it that the ghosts of plague victims, war victims, and the ghost of a murderous asylum doctor roam the decaying grounds.
5 Area 51
Area 51 is the common name of a highly classified United States Air Force (USAF) facility located in Nevada, United States.
Details of the facility’s operations are not publicly known, but the USAF says that it is an open training range, and it most likely supports the development and testing of experimental aircraft and weapons systems.
The intense secrecy surrounding the base has made it the frequent subject of conspiracy theories.
Access to Area 51 is completely prohibited, however, the area surrounding the facility is a popular tourist destination for alien enthusiasts.

Christ has paid for our sins even the unconfessed sin as long as a believer confess and accept Jesus as Lord and savior. Suicide can lead an unbeliever to hell but is not automatic ticket to hell for the saved. For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him 2 Corinthian 5:21 Luckily, every believer and unbeliever knows that suicide is a ticket to hell.
