Crime › Re: Bomb Blast At Jos Motor Park And Maiduguri Now by magneto(m): 11:23pm On Jul 05, 2015 |
Just heard it.....these ppl are totally sick!!!! Report coming in states that twin bomb blasts have hit the ancient city of Jos. Witnesses say simultaneous bombs have exploded at a motor park and opposite a university in the city of Jos, Plateau state, Nigeria. They say that the first blast was outside the university gate while the other blast was by the gates of Bauchi Park. Daily trust are reporting that a suicide bomber was responsible for one of the attacks, the one at the motor park in Bauchi road. As of now, the amount of casualties is still unknown, but the University of Jos Pharmacy gate is usually crowded and conveys passengers from Jos to Bauchi. Daily trust correspondents close to the scene saw Special Task Force and Nigerian Police evacuating corpses and the injured as they speed pass the Bauchi road area. Reuters have confirmed the news and said that simultaneous bombs exploded at a bus station and opposite a university. “There was a loud explosion opposite the university along the Bauchi road, and another one at the Bauchi road motor park,” Garba Musa, a newspaper vendor along the road, told Reuters by telephone. Military spokesman in Plateau state capital Jos confirmed the news to Vanguard but failed to state the number of casualties. One witness on the scene, driver Ibrahim Hashidu, told AFP that 17 people had been confirmed dead, with the first explosion killing five people and the second causing 12 deaths. One source told Sahara reporters that the first blast happened at the entrance of the University of Jos near the College of Forestry, where the students are writing exams. While the second one was at the second biggest park in Jos, Central Motor Park which is also located close to a military checkpoint. The blasts were said to have been 200 meters apart and are said to have occurred just before 5pm. It is also notable that there was a blast last year on this same stretch of road. The Plateau State Commissioner of Police, Nasiru Oki has revealed that 13 people died in the attack and 14 people were injured. Reporters however counted nine courses at the scene of the Plateau State Specialist Hospital mortuary and 11 injured people hospitalized at the intensive care unit of the hospital. The nine corpses were placed on the mortuary floor and also one of the dead were a police traffic officer. The corpses are said to all had injuries to the head with one being completely mutilated. The hospital management have however declined to comment on the issue, but one nurse told Premium times that most of the injured victims were in stable condition Friday morning. She called for blood donations. Four of the injured are currently being treated at the Bingham University Teaching Hospital. One passed away unfortunately this morning. University of Jos spokesperson, Abdullahi Abdullahi has denied the news going around that 12 students had passed away. He said: “The report in some national dailies that the University of Jos lost 12 of it students to the blast was false. No student or any member of the university community was affected by the explosions. As I speak with you the second semester examinations are ongoing. We have intensified security of lives and property in all our campuses.” Source: Naija Woofer |

Dollyak: She is an insecure psycho. She won't believe your stories until you present a strong evidence. I think you might need to contact the taxi man and tell him to explain the whole situation to her. In addition, you need to have a strong word with her. So u do visit d romance section too ...hmmm, miss political iron lady . Nice! @op, ur girlfriend is obviously highly insecure and immature. If I were in ur shoes, d relationship is all but dead at dis point. If she's so angered enuff to tell u dat u don't really know nothing abt her...u should take dat statement seriously. But then, u know her better dan me so she just might be d type dat spews off d top witout necessarily meaning it, whenever she gets mad (still not a gud sign either) |
Poems For Review › Re: The Inner Mind - A Short Poem And A Brief Commentary. by magneto(m): 10:32am On Jun 19, 2015 |
laykorn: Hmmmm, our thoughts of the inner mind are quite different. I see it a soul, you see a hard disk.
What do you think? Lol, interesting analysis my broda...but on d contrary I'd say our thots are actually quite similar. No I do not see a 'hard disk' but a 'database'...calling it a hard disk kinda reduces it to some sort of hardware machine, but a database is more conceptual. Now as for similarity of our thots, if u say d inner mind is d soul then I'll assume u see d 'outer mind' as d spirit (correct me if I'm wrong). I also see the subconscious mind (or inner mind) as the soul...but as the name implies it is not "fully" conscious but rather 'sub' conscious (underneath consciousness). It is ethereal in nature...it neither twerks, twirl, pulsate, nor rebel. That is d domain of the spirit or outer mind. The soul is constant and divine in nature, and consists of every single one of our impressions, memories, and emotions. It collects these impressions and locks them forever in some sort of limbo...awaiting some search actions from the outer mind (hence the expression "soul searching" . Come to think of it, I believe the computer was originally modeled after the human mind. The processor being the brain, the RAM as the outer mind, and the hard disk as the subconscious mind...lol . Hmmm...anoda case of we thinking alike. What do u think? |

How many naija girls would gladly receive a flower love-gift from a guy without abusing him? If not to his face, then definitely at his back. As for the 'come to my house' syndrome, like others have rightly said, most guys just want to cut to the chase. Pls dnt kid urself dat he just wants to talk, or cuddle and watch movies (tho plenty guys can accept a cuddle on d first visit )...every smart and non naïve babe knows wat a guy wants when he invites u to his house. If its not wat u want too, then NOBODY CAN FORCE U TO GO! Shikena |
