Terrorism is not just about killing people, it's about creating fear to force people lose their free will into submission and it seems you are doing just that for bokoharam.

stop blaming the northern soldiers. In every military fighting a war there will always be mole however Majority the soldiers are not sympathetic to boko haram. Do you know hundreds of northern soldiers and polices have been killed by boko haram. If not for those soldiers, you probably not enjoying the freedom you have now. Also boko haram is not a northern problem. thousands of southerners have also been killed by boko haram. When bomb is set, it doesn't discriminate between northerner or southerner. GEJ is the CNC of the armed forces and his solely responsible for the appointment of those incompetence senior military officers. Why don't he appoint officers that will get the job done?

You are talking as if GEJ had been President since independence. The rot in the military started many years ago. If you don't know, Military Rule dealt a big blow to the dignity and strength of our armed forces. There was no working synergy between the Army, Navy and the Airforce. The Nigerian Airforce for example was neglected for many years because of rivalry during military rule. Equipments and hardwares together with training of Airforce Personnel were limited for fear of Coup. Same thing happened to the Nigerian Navy. Military rule really destroyed the competitiveness of our entire armed forces. Recruitment into the army for many years were based on tribalism and sectionalism until democracy came. Do a survey of the Nigerian army and you will discover majority of them are of Hausa Fulani origin.
Influence of the Federal Government over the military are minimal. GEJ can only appoint officers and supply them funds but he can't dictate to them how to run their affairs. The military is a semi autonomous organization.
The final bulk stop at the military heirechy to organize and reform themselves to deal with the challenges of the 21st century.
