you see your life..You brag about holding power but the more you hold power, the more your people suffer and become impoverished..it's better not to be in power and progress in all spheres of life than to be in power and be drowned in abject poverty and penury.. I've made my point. With all your supposed 'advancement', no northerner envies you and will want to be like you. And as for power, you are not to be listened for implying that certain 'advanced' humans have developed to a level that they don't want it. |

CyerSeries: is your life better than Igbos?.. Igbos will continue to fare better than northerners in all spheres of human endeavor even if the rule the country for hundred years so deal with it That is the problem with you lot. Even with your assumed advancements, the northerners too would not want to be Igbos. You see traits in them that's unbecoming and they too see many in you. You can have all the supposed advantages you ascribe to yourselves but without empathy you won't make it in public affairs, as you'll be sabotaged |

You people should solve your problem and allow Igbos to solve theirs..rubbish The problem is you and GEJ made yourselves and his leadership an SE/SE affair, and fought everybody that wasn't ready to support his re-election. |

Jboyossai: This kept me thinking ....what if the president elect General Buhari dies before may 29th,
what do you think of Nigeria?
Would they still be peace in this country?
How would Nigerians take it?
Am sure the average Nigerian would believe Mr president murdered him....
My thoughts though...... Would you ever play this game with anybody close to you? This is what Fayose did, and nobody is pitying him for the travails he's going through. You don't play "What ifs" with death. |

dokyOloye: The posts of d service chiefs, inspector general of police, etc are political positions. Anybody from certain ranks upwards can be appointed. But Buhari just asks for an upgrade to the next level so that the CSO he has can continue. There's nothing tribal or nepotistic in that, unlike Minimah's who is GEJ's tribesman. Are you now saying of the 14 senior officers passed, none is more qualified than Minimah? |
Politics › Re: Buhari Rejects New CSO By DSS by MalcoImX: 5:24pm On Apr 23, 2015 |
dokyOloye: Hope they do not start promoting the nepotism which northerners are specialists at by promoting the said Mani above his seniors and mates. In a brazen show of nepotism and tribalism Chief of Army Staff, Minimah, was promoted ahead of 14 of his seniors to occupy that seat. |

okekeanayo: you have spoken like a yoruba man, they are deceitful and tribally inclined. You beat ur chest to be one who determine votes but ask with what number of votes? When south-east and south-south voted for Obasanjo in 1999 and 2003, they were the right people, when these same zones voted for Yaradua in 2007 they were not tribal and sentimental. When they presented and voted a candidate, they became sentimental and tribal. My question is have the south-south and south-east shown love enough to Hausas and yorubas that should engender same love from the later? You have said it allow trust is earned but yoruba man is not trusted in the bed of politics, not even the hausas can trust them. You are wrong on this, okekeanayo. The North will easily trust the SW to the SE. Why is this? |

xtayle: For whatever its worth, the generality of the igbo nation must desist from tribal(simple or acute) and hate tendendencies. They must shift from their present mentality of seeing themselves as superior to others. They also must first respect others (especially d host of their places of prosperity) so others can respect them (respect is reciprocal). It will be helpful for them to start seeing Nigeria as one and act as such. No one is going to leave Nigeria 4 d other. Other tribes needs to start seeing nationalistic tendencies in them. As it is now, even though we all love them, no one trust them, they need to earn d collective trust of majority of other tribes in Nigeria. This is a question that has to be addressed by the Igbo. I am interested in this. Whether they like it or not this trust issue is a recurring decimal with other Nigerians. |
Politics › Re: How Can Nigeria Produce An Ibo President? by MalcoImX: 2:25pm On Apr 23, 2015 |
tlops: That is the problem! they need to make ally with other tribes to be able to win presidency. I love a quote from Chuba Wilberforce Okadigbo, he said and I am paraphrasing "there are many roads to the FCT but the northern route is the fastest". meaning for him to make it to the state house he should pally with the North. National politics is about forming alliances and building bridges. Amaechi, Ngige and Okorocha are called names for trying to do that. Ngige definitely would have become the senate president but was denied by the Igbo, not for lack of capacity, but simply because he's seen to be in a wrong party. They denied themselves and have now begun to accuse others of ganging up against their interests. Igbo politics is typified by the outlook of the Arthur Ezes: “That short man called Ngige, we gave him power and he went and joined Awolowo’s people; people that killed the Igbos. This is inimical to Igbo interest, as long as they remain part of Nigeria. But will the Igbo elite stop playing divide and rule politics with their people, for their personal gains? |

Amaechi especially, if he's an Igbo, can make it because he has a national appeal. Okorocha and Ngige too. But the problem with Igbo politics is anybody who tries to build a bridge to other Nigerians is seen as an outcast. |

When extrapolated it may mean no one can do it but Buhari. | Another popular slogan in the North is "APC Sak", which may mean "APC Straight." Many people who wouldn't have won the elections benefitted from it. It is the practice of voting everything APC so that you don't make a mistake of voting somebody but Buhari or you just vote anything associated with Buhari (to honour him). |

Amid the global reports of xenophobia and the gruesome attacks on foreigners in South Africa, a picture is being circulated on social media accusing Jacob Zuma, President of South Africa, of beating up a black foreigner. Although Jacob Zuma has appealed to immigrants and even visited some of the displaced, this photo might end up implicating his cold feet response to the xenophobic attacks in South Africa. http://omojuwa.com/2015/04/photo-emerges-of-jacob-zuma-allegedly-beating-a-foreigner/

Curlieweed: First of all, get a dictionary and you will find that stealing is ACTUALLY different from corruption.
I'm sure you hid an intelligent point amongst the rest of your verbiage but I must apologize for my inability to find it. That is why you can easily compartmentalize things as black and white. If you can steal you are corrupt. If you are corrupt you can agree to that person that says you'll get an oral s*x from him. And if you can agree it will aid in your ruin. You are listened to because it is assumed you're guided by some moral compass. Tell us you engage in what Wike is being accused and see whether we'll engage you – even with a long pole. Curlieweed: Get your facts right, my friend! Clinton was impeached for perjury (lying under oath) not for fccking Monica.
The basis of law shouldn't be Morality because morality is subjective. Morality is personal but laws should determine the interaction between citizens. It's not surprising from a supporter of 'stealing is not corruption.' Whoever lies easily and is corrupt in his conduct with others has moral issues, and should be punished. Should it occur that this governor-elect indulged in what's being alleged, then surely it will be dis-empowering, and would suffer the moral and legal consequences to follow. |

Apeeshit and hypocrisy! And they nearly impeached Clinton on the allegation he had s*x somewhere with a woman. I think Obama too got into trouble for smoking hemp when he was a student. He should not have been allowed to contest in the first place for calling a human being his God on Earth. It is not a good example. The basis of law is morality. |
