I think you are avoiding the question. Let me reframe it.
Is part of showing love punishing sinners?
ifenes:
Unconditional love means loving without condition. It simply implies the absence of judgement and punishment. It also implies being capable of allowing people we love make decisions which opposes our views without judging them.
an atheist know unconditional love more than a muslim ? Smh. If you Love me unconditionally, you will find a way to save me from punishment that is coming my way.

in 2001, during the religion crisis in kaduna, the muslims attack a christian man with bible on his hand, they command him to renounce his faith, but he refuse. Because the muslims people know him as a peaceful man, so they command him to throw away his bible and run, still the man refuse, one of the muslim cut him with knife, till he died. If you live in kaduna during the religion crisis, I tell you the truth, you will not open this thread. It is by God grace am alive today. Yep, and Islam.

I'm confused about why this thread exists. It looks like Muslims trying to point fingers at Christians when their doctrines are both flawed in the same way. It's clear that neither Yahweh or Allah display unconditional love. The "love" (if you can even call it that honestly) that both god characters offer is blatantly conditional, and that condition is "worship me, and only me, until you die".

Now that we have established that God will punish the unbelievers on judgement day, can we still say God loves them as He punishes them?
If you read scholar post very well, you will not say this. This is what he say:

"Does God love those who rejects Christ? Yes.
Does His Love mean He will alter His Justice to
accommodate their rebellion? NO (else satan
deserves an unreserved apology and a
reinstatement!). If a man rejects God's
revelation about Jesus and dies and finds
himself in the devil's destination, who do we
blame? The man!"

Which is why I have been trying to tell you that the bible God doesn't love the unbelievers the wicked, sinners... .etc
Yes. It's true God loves us all but for the transgressors, there isn't love for them.
Let's consider these verses
Psalm 5:4-6

4 You are not a God who takes pleasure in evil;
with you the wicked cannot dwell.

5 The arrogant cannot stand in your presence;
you hate all who do wrong.

6 You destroy those who tell lies;
bloodthirsty and deceitful men
the LORD abhors.

Psalm 11:5

5 The LORD examines the righteous,
but the wicked and those who love violence
his soul hates.

Van you still look at these verses and still tell me God loves all?
because you are a canal man, you don't understand the scripture. Do you think God love violence ? God hate it, if we are to be judge through the law, NON is worthy to be save. But because God Love is unconditional, that is why He provide a way which man can be save. If God does not love the unbelievers, then how can a sinner be save ? Bible say "He first Love us while we were YET sinner, christ die for us"

There's no love for sinners on judgement day as a result of their actions. So it's stupid to ask for proof for love for sinners. Allah loves all humans which is why everyone is blessed, sometimes the sinners are more blessed. If Allah hated them, it wouldn't be so.
who is talking about judgment day here ? The quran say allah does not love the unbelievers.

Scholar8200:
I wish you got a quote from those who used the term, at least that's where I would have loved to start from. What I know is that of Grace that we do not work for nor deserve but when received (by Faith in Jesus Christ) transforms our lives. This Grace is unlimited - not given by measure nor with prejudice.

Would you mind telling us which passage your respondents normally coin that term-unconditional love -from?

But considering the Love of God, I would refer you to the parable of the prodigal son.

Did the father love the prodigal son? Yes! Did the father's love prevent the prodigal from the consequences of his decision? NO! If the prodigal had refused to return to the father and died in the field among the swines, do we blame the father for not loving the prodigal son as a father should? NO!
But the prodigal returns to the father and we see a Love that yearns after the rebellious and does all possible to influence his decision homewards but remember, he is a free moral agent and the Father will not violate that principle by use of force !

Does God love those who rejects Christ? Yes. Does His Love mean He will alter His Justice to accommodate their rebellion? NO (else satan deserves an unreserved apology and a reinstatement!). If a man rejects God's revelation about Jesus and dies and finds himself in the devil's destination, who do we blame? The man!
YESSS, the prodigal son, exactly, thank you my brother. God bless. Long time.

I don't know how to quote post by post. But wait, are you trying to say God Love is not unconditional because the quran does not thought unconditional love ? Or do you think God will ignore sins because his love is unconditional ? Context give meaning in every explanation, you cannot mix the context in which God judge sin with the one He talk about unconditional love, NO my friend. Just because you Love your wife unconditional does not mean you will not punish her if she do evil.

Answer the Question in the following format:

1. What is unconditional love in Christianity ?

2. If there's punishment for non Christians for not accepting Christ as their personal lord and Savior, is it still right to call this love unconditional?

3. If there Isn't punishment for non Christians , why bother preaching the word of God to Christians if at the end of the day, we all make heaven?

what you said in the op, that's not how bible explain unconditional love. Do you Love your wife ? Unconditional ? If yes, why do you divorce ? Biblical speaking, unconditional love is when christ die for our sin irrespective of our behavior, Good or Bad. Christ die for us while we were YET sinner. The bible say "the fear of God is the beginning of wisdom" if God love is unconditional, WHY FEAR GOD ? Because He judge SIN. He punish Law breakers. Unconditional love does NOT say God should ignore sin, but instead FIND A WAY TO FORGIVE SIN PRIOR TO FINAL JUDGMENT.

Who change it ? When was the bible corrupted ? Why will allah ask you to make confirmation from a corrupted book ? Op read this thread and reply:
https://www.nairaland.com/2381817/contradictions-analyzed-bible-quran

THE QURAN GIVES AUTHORITY OF THE BIBLE:
The Qur’an, itself, the highest authority
for all Muslims, gives authority to the
Bible, assuming its authenticity at least
up to the seventh-ninth Centuries.
Consider the following Suras:
Surah 2:136 points out that there
is no difference between the scriptures
which preceded and those of the Qur’an,
saying, “ …the revelation given to us…and
Jesus…we make no difference between
one and another of them .”
Surah 3:2-3 continues, “Allah…He sent
down the Law (of Moses) and the Gospel
(of Jesus)…as a guide to mankind .” Sura
h 4:136 carries this farther by
admonishing the Muslims to, “ …Believe…
and the scripture which He sent before
him .” In Surah 5:47,49,50,52 we
find a direct call to Christians to believe
in their scriptures:
“ …We sent Jesus, the
son of Mary, confirming the Law that had
come before him. We sent him the
Gospel… Let the people of the Gospel
judge by what Allah hath revealed
therein, if any do fail to judge by the
light of what Allah hath revealed, they
are (no better than) those who rebel…”
Again, in Surah 5:68 we find a
similar call:
“People of the Book!…Stand
fast by the law, the Gospel, and all
revelation that hath come to you from
YOUR LORD. It is the revelation that has
come to thee from THY LORD.”
To embolden this idea of the New and
Old Testament’s authority we find in Surah
10:94 that Muslims are advised to confer
with these scriptures if in doubt about
their own, saying: “If thou wert in doubt
as to what We have revealed unto thee,
then ask those who have been reading
the Book from before thee. The truth had
indeed come to thee from thy Lord .” And
as if to emphasize this point the advice is
repeated in Surah 21:7, stating;
“ …the
apostles We sent were but men, to whom
We granted inspiration. If ye realize this
not, Ask of those who possess the
message .”
Finally, in Surah 29:46 Muslims
are asked not to question the authority
of the scriptures of the Christians, saying;
“And dispute ye not with the people of
the book but say: We believe in the
revelation which has come down to us
and that which came down to you.”
If there is anything in these Suras which
is clear,it is that the Quran emphatically
endorses the Torah and the Gospel as
authentic and authoritative revelations
from God. This coincides with what
Christians believe, as well.
In fact, nowhere is there any warning in
the Qur’an that the former scriptures had
been corrupted, nor that they were
contradictory. If the Qur’an was indeed
the final and complete revelation, if it
was the seal of all former revelations the
Muslims claim, than certainly the author
of the Qur’an would have included a
warning against that which had been
corrupted in the earlier scriptures. But
nowhere do we find even a hint that the
Bible was contradictory, or indeed that it
was corrupted.
WHY WILL A FINAL REVELATION NOT GIVE
WARNING OF THE CORRUPTION OF THE
FORMER REVELATION?

Theists believe (1) getting something from nothing and they claim God did it. He created the world from nothing.

(2) again God did it. If the scientist believe the same at least they try to seek out the mechanism of how such a thing could have happened. They don't just say 'God done it'.

3) Life from non life. And Theist say Goddunit. Scientists say how was it done. That's the only difference.

4) Order from Chaos, they same.
christians say everything happened through a first cause we call God, a supernatural event. But atheist deny this, they don't have answers to this questions YET they believe it.

I don't get it. What has internet and nairaland's influence got to do with the validity of her beliefs?

Everybody that knows something got the information from somewhere. Some, it is what their eyes saw somewhere. Others, they read it in a book. Others, they watched a film. Some went to school. Some learn things from a conversation in the pub.

However none of these has any bearing on whether the conclusion is valid or not. Unless you want to claim that internet and nairaland do not have any good valid information in them.
I think you'll find if you study the issue closer that it is not the atheists posts that are creating all these atheists but rather the posts of people like yourself who cannot debate points but resort to invectives and threats when they find they cannot answer questions. Sometimes you just go around saying you're smarter (not you personally, but a certain type of christian) than others, while displaying the most abject show of stupidity.

For as long as your only contribution to a thread is to make blind assertions and threats and yabbis, then you'll keep creating more and more atheists. Personally I think it is a good thing though I'm not an atheist, because I think from your position atheism is a step in the right direction.

Sorry to butt in but I thought I'd try and answer this.

Evil isn't a "thing" in and of itself. It isn't some independent, invisible force or substance that infects and controls people. Evil only truly exists in an adjective sense. Actions can be evil, if they are intentionally taken to cause harm. Thoughts can be considered evil, if they contain hatred and spite. Evil actions are caused by evil thoughts, and evil thoughts can be caused by all manner of factors in a persons life. Egos gone haywire, obsession, hatred, or depression spiraling out of control. Even brain damage can cause a person to become hateful and want to kill.

So to sum up, "evil", as a noun, is a thing of myth. There are only humans, with thoughts or actions that can be evaluated as being evil (adjective), due to the harm they cause or intend.
That's the point I am trying to make. But the op insist, Evil is created, who created it ? I gave my explanation which he reject. If you believe, Evil is created, who created it ?

The Greek term for "firstborn" is
prototokos. Firstborn of all creation does NOT mean christ was "born first" or created first, NO it refer to christ POSITION of SUPREMACY by virtue
of the fact that He is the Creator of all
things and everything came through Him
, see verse 16. The word "firstborn" in Colossians 1:15 refers to positional priority not temporal priority. For example In Psalm 89:27 King
David is placed as FIRSTBORN,but David
was actually the last-born son of Jesse.
Isreal is call "FIRSTBORN" but Israel was not the first nation that God brought into existence, but POSITIONALLY as God's chosen and privileged nation
Israel was supreme.

The simply conclusion in colossian 1 was, the word firstborn was NOT use to described chronological oder of event. It was use to express Christ's priority as the CREATOR because all OTHER created being came through HIM as verse 16 say and I quote:

" FOR IN HIM ALL THINGS WERE CREATED : things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been
created THROUGH HIM and for him. "

There is a Greek word which means FIRST CREATED (protoktistos) but Paul did not use this word of Christ.
