My point is this:
Today, Millions of people are in bullshyte mountains you call Churches soaking up all the same old regurgitated bullshytes, the same toxic poisons. In these bullshyte mountains, non- subscribers like me are endlessly mocked, insulted and cursed.
Of course , all this goes unchallenged because, the hawkers are hawking their wares in their own domains, their bullshyte mountains.

However, when you hawkers of snake oil step into the public domain, a public forum, we non- subscribers step in to challenge, mock and dismantle your entire carcass of bullshytes.

And if you're offended by our mockery of the stuff you peddle, then you're a big hypocrite.
your point is noted. However, billion of people cannot be wrong at the same time in believing in what you call nonsense, take for instance, the bible challenge its readers to use their mind and search for evidence wither the truth in it came from God. God wants believers to be knowledgeable , especially regarding
their faith. A lack of knowledge leads to
apostasy and destruction, as God Himself said to Hosea, "My people are destroyed for a lack of knowledge." A zeal for God is not sufficient to please Him, since many Jews have this zeal, although it is misplaced since it is "not in accordance with knowledge."

If going to church is what you call brainwash, many people who are interlingent than you , by now they would've left the church, don't you think so ?

Your football club is your god . Take for instance the rich young man, he ask Jesus what must I do to be save,Jesus first list the first five law that deal with man and his neighbor, the rich man was doing good in keeping this law. but not so much with the moral law. Instead of then quoting the first five commandments to the young man,the commandments that dealt with man’s relationship with God, Jesus told the young man, “Sell your possessions and follow me.” In other words, “Your god is your money. Get rid of that and follow me.”. Remember, Jesus did not say give all, but He say HALF, so find time to worship God while you do your daily activities. Thank you.

I laugh at them, I mock them when they become pushy.
I don't insult them, for obvious reasons of family ties and relationships.

They already know that if they throw bullshyte at me, I return the favor with common sense and mockery.

The reason I mock here( I try not to insult) is because this is a public forum. You religio-clowns have been left unchallenged for far too long to spread your stone-age middle East toxic wastes.

It is therefore imperative for all patriots, all sons and daughters of Africa , to push back and roll back these dead old toxic crap that you clowns peddle.

We have to dismantle these lethal mythologies one stuuupid part at a time.
so religious clown has not been challenge before, you are the first who wanted to put the challenge on religious? Alright.

Op said he was not writing from hate but will judge all missionaries from the letter written by a king the op admits to be very evil! And that king was from a country that sent only God knows how many missionaries!(how many of the front line missionaries were from there?) That the king wrote this does not mean the missionaries followed suit!
If you want to criticise come out openly!!! This veneer of fairness is akin to hiding behind a little finger.
1. Was Africa the only place missionaries came to?
2. Will it be right to judge the 3 wise men based on Herod's malicious admonition? Did they obey Herod?
3. Will it be right to judge the midwives as a result of Pharaoh's murderous edict? Did the midwives obey Pharaoh's demonic instructions?
4. Prove beyond reasonable doubts that missionaries like David Livingstone, David Brainerd, Mary Slessor, william Carey etc acted out the script in the op.
5. Why did John G. Lake hand over to a native after 5 years and returned to America? What were those 5years used for? How many companies prospecting S/A gold did he leave behind?
6. how many industries did the following missionaries build: adoniram judson, Hudson Taylor, John Stam, William Carey etc
7. Now dont miss this one, how many estates and industries did C.T.Studd own in Africa?
8. Compare and contrast the life of Samuel Morris (Prince Kaboo) with the claims in the op.

Google can satisfy you with details about the names mentioned.
nice one, op, even if you ignored all the questions being asked, endeavor to answer number.
5. Why did John G. Lake hand over to a native after 5 years and returned to America? What were those 5years used for? How many companies prospecting S/A gold did he leave behind?

Good day friends, i want to ask a simple but controversal question.
Please note i just want to note your view about the question since you can impose your thought on any other person.
The question is "is there a thing that God can not do? or what can God not do?

Hoping to read your view soon
people misinterpret biblical ominipotent of God, just because God is ominipotent does not mean God can do something that will contradicte His character, plan and purpose. Infact there are things the bible say God cannot do.
Titus 1:2
in the hope of eternal life, which God, WHO CANNOT LIE , promised long ages ago,

This verse is talking about God plan of salvation, God cannot lie to contradicte his plan.

God cannot do anything that is contrary to His holy character. However, God can do anything that He determines to do. This is a true meaning of omnipotence, the ability to do anything that one sets out to do. Saying that omnipotence requires the ability to do logically impossible things is stupid. God cannot turn truth into a lie. Thank you.

Not All the law in the old testament apply to christians, some law are given to the isrealite to deal with difficult situation they find themselves in, for example, this law in liviticus was given to the isrealite to test there obedient to God;

Leviticus 11:4:
“Nevertheless these shall ye not eat of
them that chew the cud, or of them that
divide the hoof: as the camel, because
he cheweth the cud, but divideth not the hoof; he is unclean unto you.”

These laws seem to have been intended. As a test of the people's
obedience, as Adam was forbidden to eat of the tree of knowledge .

1. Since it not recorded in d bible then you don't need it. Does soul winning has holiday? I don't know. 2. Your verse doesn't correspond to the post. Jesus wasn't born the 25th of December or even in december because what shepherd will be in the snow! That shows it summer, it probably one Roman pagan worship converted to replicate a christian festival. The bible never recorded the disciples celebrate one festival. Now if we were to celebrate christ's birthday it should be everyday because of what he did not some special day.

should a christian chose a day to celebrate the soul winning, because it not in the bible and Jesus did command us to do it , will you call it sin ? Have you not read in colossian 3:17 which say:

"And whatever you do,whether in WORD

God bless you abundantly. I read your latest thread how God not answering your prayer. It is not your fault and it is not that God is not listening to you. There is something you need to know how biblical faith work, biblical faith is an active faith with character. The point is that you must be persistent in prayer to achieve result. You must have that "NEVER-GIVE-UP" when praying... When you pray and you are yet to get results,you need to continue praying. Take for example in luke ;

Luke 18:1-8, "And he spake a parable
unto them to this end, that men ought
always to pray, and not to faint; Saying,
There was in a city a judge, which feared not God, neither regarded man: And there was a widow in that city; and she came unto him, saying, Avenge me of mine adversary. And he would not for
a while: but afterward he said within
himself, Though I fear not God, nor
regard man; YET BECAUSE THIS WIDOW
TROUBLETH ME,I WILL AVENGE HER , LEST BY HER CONTINUE COMING SHE WEARY ME. And the Lord said,Hear what the unjust judge saith. And shall not God avenge his own elect, which cry day and night unto him, though he bear long with them? I tell you that he will avenge them speedily."

Here is a judge that was fearless, and
would not avenge this widow's adversary. But she kept asking him
OVER and OVER and the judge finally
gave in to her requests, lest she
weary him by her continual coming. How much more you whom God love.

I recommend you read this thread and God will answer you prayer

Maby you are in a situation were you fill like there is no way out ,you keep asking, were are you Lord? People do tough time in the desert but believe it or not God use it for Good. Help is on the way . You just have to believe. Thank you.

your hypocrisy is alarming you know. Last time i checked, you left Christianity for new age only to go back again. Who seems to be more confused now? Your contributions are clearly not needed on this thread. if you're gonna bitch about serious issues such as this one then kindly exit the thread.

Even Jesus went through trials and tribulations, so if you're taking pride in demeaning people because of their struggles it goes to say you're immature.
God is not bound to keep your time, the reason you worship God is because of miracle ? And when you feel like God is not hearing you, you give up? I believe this is not the reason you want to give up on God. Longsuffering is associated with mercy ( 1 Peter 3:20) and hope (1 Thessalonians 1:4). It does not surrender to circumstances or succumb to trial.

In Galatians 5:19-21, Paul referred to our human nature as the "work of the flesh" These include “hatred,
contentions, jealousies, outbursts of
wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions,
heresies, envy, murders”!

We cannot overcome this with our sinful nature, we need the antidote of this which is the holy spirit.

Paul went on to say, “But the fruit of the
Spirit is love, joy, peace,LONGSUFFERING kindness , goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self control ” ( Galatians
5:22-23,

2. Paul is encouraging us to give consideration to those who might be stumbled by our actions, even though our actions are not wrong, for example, eating of food sacrificed to idols.
in 1 Cor. 8:1-13 Paul is teaching the church about meat sacrifice to idol, what Paul is saying is that a christian have PERFECT freedom over everything God had created, a christian who eat meat sacrifice to idol knowingly or unknowingly, is not a sin why ? Because the idol is NOTHING to him, and his conscience is not offended. the truth is that, the wood and bronze use to create those pagan gods were ALL made by GOD. ^^^ trash.
https://www.nairaland.com/2318252/reason-why-prayer-not-being

There has been times in my life when
I have been up and down, times when
prayer seems to come easy, and times
when prayer doesn't come easy at all.
There is something, I think, in man that
makes it hard to pray, but what is it? Why should anyone have difficulty in praying?
Is it because we think that God will not
hear us? That's a possibility. I've heard
people speak about getting on their
knees to pray and having the feeling that their prayers were bouncing off the
ceiling, going no higher than the ceiling,
that nobody was hearing it but them.
They don't think God is actually hearing
what they are saying.
They may feel that way because they
feel unworthy, or because they feel God
is down on them. They may feel that God has somehow shut them up and won't listen to them.
Is it because we don't think it will change anything? And if that's the case, is it because we just don't believe? Or that we believe that God is going to do what He's going to do regardless of what we ask? “What's the point in praying about this? I'm going to pray and I'm going to ask God to do this, but God already knows what's best, and He's going to do what's best, and I'm going to say 'Thy will be done,' and what's the
point in asking because His will is going
to be done anyway?” Maybe we don't
pray a lot because we think it isn't going
to change anything. God will just do what he's going to do whether we ask Him to do it or not.
SOLUTION;
Luke 11:1-2, "And it came to pass,
that, as he was praying in a
certain place, when he ceased,
one of his disciples said unto
him, Lord, teach us to pray, as
John also taught his disciples.
And he said unto them, When ye
pray, say…"
Now, most people can, without reading
their bible, can site what Jesus said
about how you are to pray. So, Jesus
gives what is called “the Lord's Prayer,”
but he continues, he's NOT THROUGH
TEACHING THEM HOW TO PRAY! The
“Lord's Prayer” is not all he said in
response to the question, “Lord, teach us to pray.”the Lord prayer was just like an idea on what to say when praying , the next verse gives us the right attitude continue;
Luke 11:5-7, "And he said unto them,
Which of you shall have a friend, and
shall go unto him at midnight, and say
unto him, Friend, lend me three loaves;
For a friend of mine in his journey is
come to me, and I have nothing to set
before him? And he from within shall
answer and say, Trouble me not: the
door is now shut, and my children are
with me in bed; I cannot rise and give
thee."
"Jesus' listeners would have considered
the response of the man who was in bed absolutely unconscionable"
Luke 11:8, "I say unto you, Though he will not rise and give him, because he is his friend, yet BECAUSE OF HIS
IMPORTUNITY he will rise and give him
as many as he needeth."
What's going on here? Well the man's
not going to go away! He's going to
stay down there; he's going to keep
on knocking on the door. He's going to
say, “get up and get me some bread!
I'm not going to let you sleep until you
get up and come out here and give me
three loaves of bread.
The word for “importunity” in the Greek
literally means “SHAMLESNESS.” Without shame. I think that's absolutely
fascinating, because a modest man
would say, “Gee. I asked and he didn't
give me any bread. Well, I guess I better
go away now because I must be causing
him a lot of inconvenience.” No, he is
shameless!
THERE ARE THREE EXAMPLES OF
IMPORTUNITY;
EXAMPLE ONE
Luke 18:1-8, "And he spake a parable
unto them to this end, that men ought
always to pray, and not to faint; Saying,
There was in a city a judge, which feared not God, neither regarded man: And there was a widow in that city; and she came unto him, saying, Avenge me of mine adversary. And he would not for
a while: but afterward he said within
himself, Though I fear not God, nor
regard man; YET BECAUSE THIS WIDOW
TROUBLETH ME,I WILL AVENGE HER , LEST BY HER CONTINUE COMING SHE WEARY ME. And the Lord said,
Hear what the unjust judge saith. And
shall not God avenge his own elect,
which cry day and night unto him,
though he bear long with them? I tell you that he will avenge them speedily."
Here is a judge that was fearless, and
would not avenge this widow's
adversary. But she kept asking him
OVER and OVER and the judge finally
gave in to her requests, lest she
weary him by her continual coming.
EXAMPLE TWO:
Luke 18:35-39, "And it came to pass, that as he was come nigh unto Jericho, a
certain blind man sat by the way side
begging: And hearing the multitude pass by, he asked what it meant. And
they told him, that Jesus of Nazareth
passeth by. And he cried, saying, Jesus,
thou Son of David, have mercy on me.
And they which went before REBUKE
HIM, that he should HOLD his peace…"
They rebuked him. They told him to
shut up and be quiet! To stay out of
the way.BUT
Luke 18:39, "...but he cried so much the
more, Thou Son of David, have mercy on
me." What happens to this man if he shuts up? He's not healed. Yet, there were people there who were trying to talk him out of it, telling him to hush.He
didn't hush, he kept yelling. He cried
out!
Luke 18:40-43, "And Jesus stood, and
commanded him to be brought unto him: and when he was come near, he asked him, Saying, What wilt thou that I
shall do unto thee? And he said, Lord,
that I may receive my sight. And Jesus
said unto him, Receive thy sight: THY
FAITH HATH SAVED THEE. And
immediately he received his sight, and
followed him, glorifying God: and all the people, when they saw it, gave praise unto God."What's faith? Is it a feeling? Is it a mood? An emotion? Faith is a
persistence, a boldness. It was his
boldness and persistence that got this
man his eyesight. It's not a mood, it's
not a feeling. Think about it. Jesus
said his bold, persistent, aggressive
faith has saved him!
EXAMPLE THREE:
Matthew 15:22, "And, behold, a woman
of Canaan came out of the same coasts,
and cried unto him, saying, Have mercy
on me, O Lord, thou Son of David; my
daughter is grievously vexed with a
devil."
This is a Gentile woman, and Jesus
did not answer her a word. Didn't say
a thing to her, just ignored her! Actually,
strange women weren't supposed to be
talking to strange men like this. Jesus'
manners may seem rude to you, but they were the norm for this time.
Matthew 15:23-26, "But he answered her not a word. And his disciples came and besought him, saying, SEND HER AWAY;FOR SHE CRIETH AFTER US. But he
answered and said, I am not sent
but unto the lost sheep of the house of
Israel. Then came she and worshipped
him, saying, Lord, HELP ME. But he
answered and said, It is not meet to take the children's bread, and to
cast it to dogs."
First he ignores her, and then he
insults her! “This is not for you, you
dog! This is for the children. You Gentiles are not in that category of God's children.BUT SHE KEEP ON PRESSING ON:
Matthew 15:27, "And she said, Truth,
Lord: yet the dogs eat of the crumbs
which fall from their masters' table."
This is similar to what happened to a
man named Jacob when he wrestled,
physically, with God, and who put
God in a hold and said, "...I will not
let thee go, except thou bless
me" (Genesis 32:24-30). He wrestled
all night long and said he would not let
him go until he blesses him! God even
put the hollow of Jacob's thigh out of
joint, and he still wouldn't let him go!
These people would stand up to God,
believe it or not. This woman continued
to persist in the argument. And what
happened?
Matthew 15:28, "Then Jesus answered
and said unto her, O woman, GREAT IS
THY FAITH : be it unto thee even as thou
wilt. And her daughter was made whole
from that very hour."
What's he talking about? He's talking
about her boldness, her persistence, her drive, her energy, her willingness
to hang in there and not give up on her
daughter's sake. Sometimes we can find
more faith for our children than we can
for ourselves. This woman certainly did.
Notice Jesus' response when he saw this
kind of faith, this kind of persistent
boldness. He said, “I'll give you anything
you want!” And her daughter was made
whole from that very hour. And Jesus
told her that her bold, persistent,
aggressive faith has saved her daughter.
Continue from the Lord prayer;
Luke 11:9-10, "And I say unto you, Ask,
and it shall be given you; seek, and ye
shall find; knock, and it shall be opened
unto you. For every one that asketh
receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth;
and to him that knocketh it shall be
opened."
One thing you can say for sure is that
a man who doesn't ask is not going to
get it, a man who isn't looking for it isn't
going to find it, and a man who doesn't
knock on the door will never get it open.
Luke 11:11-13, "If a son shall ask bread
of any of you that is a father, will he give him a stone? or if he ask a fish, will he for a fish give him a serpent? Or if he
shall ask an egg, will he offer him a
scorpion? If ye then, being evil, know
how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?"
You need to understand, the point that is being made here is not that God is a bad neighbor, the point is that if you expect to be heard of God you're going to have to knock and you're going to have to be persistent in what you do, and you are going to have to be shameless.
CONCLUSION;
Well, the scriptural doctrine of faith is an ACTIVE , persistent, bold approach to
God. We seem to think that faith is a
PASSIVE virtue; that it's a set of BELIEFS
or a way of THINKING , whereas in
scripture it's a way of acting!
That's where, possibly, the difference
may come in.

I agree OP but Christianity is just as bad if you read about the atrocities God commanded in the old and new testaments.
the problem is you, if I ask you to provide proof of this, you will go and paste random verses without context as your proof.

Christianity Etc › Re: Is Celebrating Christmas Wrong ? by malvisguy212(op): 9:24pm On Dec 17, 2015

while i wouldnt have loved to argue further with you. I would like to chip in with this. every scripture is a template to address things that were, are and still to come. So dont tell me that Rm 14:5 doesnt apply to christmas. in other words, you can as well saidv that the word of God is for only the Israelite since God addressed them and their situations directly and no mention of other races in many ways. in fact i would like you to read the whole of Rm 14 and learn more.

1 John 3:21 Beloved, if our heart does not condemn us, we have confidence before God

Rom 14:22 Do you have a conviction? Keep it to yourself before God. The man who does not condemn himself by what he approves is blessed. (that is when you do it unto the glory of God without committing sins doing it) But if you thing otherwise, it is a sin to you if you do it.
So if you do not celebrate christmas, its all well and good. No sin in that and no sin in celebrating it for people who do it in holiness and righteousness.

If you can quote the old testament for me to support you argument. Of course you should be ready to abide by all the statutes of God as commanded in the old testament and celebrate all the celebrations ordained there. Jesus did not build a house and call it church.

Yes funnerals are not biblical. but you are not going to bury your aged like a chicken because thats the way they do funneral in the bible. no church service. no entertainment of the guests. Not talking of those funneral frivolities you were talking about. If you at any time in your live do any of these, that means you are an hypocrite. Non of those happened in the bible.

If Jesus had not been invited by that guy to the marriage ceremony at canal in galile, people like you would have said that marriage ceremony is a sin just like you kicked against naming ceremony. what is the difference? god gives me a new wife, i celebrate: and god gives me a new child from the wedding, i celebrate naming him. but you are saying it is wrong, abi?

behold old things are passed away, and become new. If you say that Christmas has a pagan origin. Well it is all hear say. We were not there. As some unscrupulous people are kicking against the true biography of Jesus bringing some fabble instead, so that origin of christmas is arguable. A christian king in ekiti state stopped idolatory and replace it with revival and prayer. People of your kind in the future will discourage people tha that revival and prayer has pagan origin and that they should not attend. what is wong in replacing evil with good?

tell me that i am comitting sin celebrating new year. Greatest evangelist of our time celebrated these festivals we are talknig aout and i beleive that God does not speak to you more than them. reinhard bonnke, ayodele babalola, Kartyrn Khumay, Akindayomi of Redeem, Obadare, Abiara, Founder of Apostolic Faith, etc. you are not holier than these people and many more

too much hypocrisy for you there. Leave christmas alone for people celebrating it while you stay clear of celebrating it since it is against your conscience. If you do celebrate against your conscience, to you and to you alone it is a sin.
read 1 Corinthians 8:4–13 Paul clarified the issue of food offer by idol, he say eating meat offered to an idol is not immoral, because “an idol is nothing at all.” An idol is an inanimate object. “Food,” he says, “does not bring us near to God; we are no worse if we do not eat, and no better if we do.” remain bless.
