FamilyRe: My Wife Doesn’t Respect Or Love Me Any More And I Think I Caused It by Mandate1: 2:36pm On Jun 17, 2024
ScotHarvath:
I have been noticing this things for the past couple of months. She even said recently in a fight that I disgust her and she hated me, I wanted to call for a separation after hearing such strong words but she pleaded and I acquiesced.

We have two kids.

Yesterday which was Father’s Day, she woke up at 10 o clock, before she did, I had slept the house and prepared breakfast because I felt she needed to rest.

I went out to with my friends around 6pm and came back around 10pm and asked her to help make toast for dinner and she boldly told me to go the kitchen and make it myself.

I really blame myself for this situation now, I made myself to accessible to all. I barely keep friends. So I made her my best friend, tell her everything about my finances and all. I treat her as an equal.

Is it wrong to treat a Nigerian woman well this days?

Everybody is advising me to get a side chick but I’m not that kind of man, I’m not sneaky or crafty enough to maintain two relationships.

I have been told to stop spending time with her at home but I’m an introvert, I don’t like frolicking with other people unless it’s absolutely necessary and besides I work from home.

I have also been advised to treat her like a stranger in her house and not talk to her for days but once again I don’t want that kind of life. I feel truly trapped.
people don advise u tìrẹ u no listen, what difference will ours make?

From the op, he's not complaining of the MIL staying, it's the other sibling staying over dat is depleting his income. I think the siblings are not working though, otherwise, wù will abandon his/her work for a long term visit? He should talk to the wife on the amicable way to resolve this family issue. The brother-in-law you treat anyhow today might be ur only grace tomorrow. Thread carefully.

Well thinking Nigerians do not believe Peter Obi is different from Tinubu and Atiku or even Buhari. If we were to do a census of obidients today, more than 90% would be Igbos, and the massive support is purely tribal/sentimental. Putting an old equipment in a new carton does not change the quality of the equipment.
those praise singing Tinubu today are Kanuris'?

100 senators against millions of workers (At least 10-20 million workers will be paid min wage). Does that sound balanced to you?

Not supporting the senators but even if they work for free, the money recovered will not even solve 5% of the problem.
but starving the citizens will perform wonders? There's something called cyclical flow of poverty. This is what we as a nation is rẹ-enforcing. No business nor economy will boom when the citizen earn penny.

Speak for yourself. You don't sound smart anyways

Alot of people are smarter than Soludo. Yes a whole lot of young Nigerians are way smarter than him.

To start with, If you feel a worker should earn less than 40USD a month then you aren't smart.
don't mind the dude. He thinks he's actually making sense but being half-smart by his positions. When people earn well, they think and feel others should die of starvation. 60,000 is too much for govt to pay, but senators are cruising home with 25m monthly.
PoliticsRe: I Pity Tinubu If He Approves Unsustainable Minimum Wage - Soludo by Mandate1: 6:06pm On Jun 12, 2024
JohnBullMySon:
I'm sure you know better than Soludo

Nigeria's GDP per capita is 2162

2162/12 = 180 output p/m in USD

180/0.5 fact out profits est = 90 avg wage est

90/0.5 optimistic avg wage min wage gap = 45

45* 1.4 =63k min wage est thats before factoring in corruption and other inefficiencies within the system.

The internet is where the uneducated think they know more than the educated.
keep your Soludo statistics to yourself sir. Why is a Nigerian senator going home with 25m naira monthly and minimum wage can't be increased to 100k? If the minimum wage is meant to be 60k, then senators' remuneration should be dropped by more than 70%

As a former CBN Gov, He knows best and I'm sure PBAT share same ideology too

If you disagree with this, just remember than you arent smarter than Soludo
I'm not smarter than Soludo in many things, but there are also things I can do better than him. No one has the monopoly of knowledge. If the people must suffer this much, what has the politicians done differently to show that they are also feeling the pain? Is it by budgeting 14bn to build VP residence? To what end. Same residence can be built for 1bn. Tell me what is special about a VP residence and office that should gulp 14bn.

Soludo said Nigeria as a country can't afford to increase wage bill, can you remind him that a can of peak milk, which an average Nigerian needs to take breakfast is #700. Ask him what food can one buy with #1000.

Soludo is disappointing me with his statements on this minimum wage undecided

You were perceived as a technocrat and made the governor of one of the most vibrants and richest states (in both human and commercial/industrial resources) in Nigeria, but you are giving excuses that you can't pay something less than 70k? When some states like Edo and Borno that are seen as commercially inefficient are proposing more than 70k? shocked shocked

Keep giving opposition chances to push you out!
Soludo is just playing politics that will come back to hunt him. His hope is to get power tomorrow. surprisingly, someone of his calibre should know better.

I watched his speech and I agree with him in so many areas, but he failed big time in his supposition of the minimum wage. What is the purchasing power of 60,000 in our present economy? What can this buy an average Nigerian? Fuel of 700 per litre diesel over 1100 per litre. If we as a nation don't have money to increase wage bill, why increase wage bill of judges by 300%? Who are they deceiving?

A govt that is making Nigerians pay more, yet budgeting 90bn for Hajj. Soludo should speak for himself and stop being a spokesman for Tinubu.

I don't support Tinubu at all but I think that farmers are the ones exploiting nigerians. Southern part of the country is safe but yet, Garri keeps hitting new high weekly.
the garri farmer or seller will have to sell the garri to buy bread and other food items, he won't depend on or feed on garri alone. Have you heard of circlical inflation before?

The singular act of increasing fuel price and deprecating the naira nailed the economy. So blame no one but the govt.
PoliticsRe: How Is Minimum Wage Calculated ? by Mandate1: 3:30pm On Jun 07, 2024
Beautifulday:
It can't cause inflation. We just like blowing grammar we don't know what it really means and how it work.

You just show small proof from the minimum wage of a thing. You see how that guy understood it? Different people have different understanding too.

How many people are really employed in the public sector? How much do Nigeria pay as salary per month?

With a population of 200 million, minimum way of 500k for 10 million workforce will be like a drop of water in an ocean.

If 200 million people are paid 100k per month in a population of 200 million country, it can't even cause inflation. This is because these 200 million are paid according to their labor. They can't just make a purchase. They factor their labor into their purchases.

You see, they purchase their needs most times more than their want.

What causes inflation is free money in circulation. E.g if a yahoo boy make 100k in a month, he is ready to burst that same 100k a day on what doesn't have value to him. Because his purchases doesn't have value to him, he is willing to pay more than it's value.

The consistent payment for goods and services above their value is what causes inflation.

The bolded is very important
though I'm in full support of your latter submission, but I must deviate in that simple economics made us to understand that an increase in salary will directly increase the purchasing power of the people and further inflation. The inflation this time might not be as overblown by the political class, but there will be a slight increase in the price of commodities. This can be checked if the govt reduces the volume of money in circulation.

The politicians on the otherhand are the alpha and omega of inflation.

So upon their gragra nothing concrete has been agreed only a promissory note.
if labour agrees this, then they are.... Damn. They have been negotiating with govt since January, only for the govt to be adding 1kobo daily.

They can comfortably jerk fuel from 160 - 700 but to increase minimum wage na 1kobo daily. A nation is as gud as its labour unions.
