SoNature: Adebayo Adelabu could be the best power minister this country has had since the inglorious exit of Professor Barth Nnaji. Tunde Fashola was a big disaster of unparalleled proportions. BTW, Mr Adelabu should encourage more state governors and private investors to get involved and invest in the three arms of the industry. That's how a country grows.
Years ago, I remember one Chinese government official saying that why the United States is ahead of China in space technology is that both the US government and private companies are investing in the industry. That's the way it should be. Development shouldn't be left to the government alone. best power minister for doing what exactly? |

Peugeot 206 Ford Focus Kia Rio.
I particularly have a preference for hatchback cars.

Anyway, this is a sign of what is to come were Tinubu given a second term. The civil service will be trimmed and restructured for optimal service delivery.

But I must admit this took me by surprise.
Why didn't they inform me first?
On a serious note, it's back to square one for us.
And bad news for Enzo Fernandez. The team seemed to do well in his absence and I'm not sure the new coach will favour him. Enzo has been very average in Chelsea. His marking ability and passing has been awful |

Lumarstone: This is not a surprise news to greater number of Chelsea fans worldwide. We've expected that he was sacked when Chelsea flooted between 10th & 12th positions for four good months. Although, he started doing well lately towards the end of the season but that is not enough reason to retain him as Chelsea Head Coach in the coming 2024/2025 football season.
I'm totally in support of the sack.
I left..! Jackson and Enzo caused him his job. Two mediocre players. |

Colossal failure.
If we are to be honest with ourselves, in every indices or parameter for measurement, the score is negative.
Power = very poor Economy = very poor Employment = very poor Agriculture = very poor Fuel = very poor
FDI = very poor( rather than the influx of foreign investment, it has been an exodus of businesses leaving Nigeria). The cost of doing business has tripled due to the high cost of fuel, diesel accompanied with a dilapidated power sector.
Security = 40% the menace of herdsmen or whatever we call it has reduced drastically. We still have loads of cases of insecurity here and there, but way better than the previous govt.
Can the government still get it right? Yes, I think so.
The first step is admitting the current policies are not working and a rejig of the policy framework.
1) a state of emergency should be declared in the power sector and the privatisation process revisited. The present system is not working and might not work if we continue in the same trajectory.
2) fuel subsidy should be re-instated. This is the only short term solution to bringing down high inflation, since the change we desire in the power sector won't be feasible in the short term.
3) I think the govt should go into mechanised agriculture with the sole aim of selling them off to private investors. The current rudimentary style of agriculture we have in Nigeria can never feed Nigeria, talk more of export. The 90bn expended on pilgrimage would have done a whole lot in this sector.
On a scale of 1-10, I will score him 1/10 |

Since he was in the running for both awards, being the best player overall should also mean he's the best young player, and the best young player should have won this award or beaten by someone not in the young player category. immortalcrown: Was the demolition illegal or legal? That's the most important information.
I pity you but I need to know who I should blame in this case.
Why was the house demolished? Don't just tell us that the house was demolished, also tell us what led to the demolition.
Will you buy a stolen good and blame the thief when you get arrested? Buyers of illegal structures are the promoters of illegal structures. If there are no such buyers, who will venture into the business of illegal structures?
I honestly don't know why the woman's house was demolished. That's why I ask my questions. But you are illogical here. there's never a demolition that is legal. All demolitions are evil and wicked. A govt doesn't wait for people to build then afterwards demolish such properties. Govt should prevent such structures from being erected in the first place. So many agencies of the govt charged with this responsibility, what are they doing? |
