waice6571: Just to point out some basic truths and not to attack your opinion.
1. Catholicism has nothing to do with the inception and propagations of Christianity. 2. Emperor Constantine in the 14th century adopted Christianity as a state religion and the Idol worshipers made a lot cover-ups so as to continue with their idolatry under the umbrella of Christianity. 3. The protesters emerged from the ranks of Catholicism and started beaming the light of the true gospel and many people were forsaking idolatry sold to them in the name of Christ. 4. Several events were written in the books of historical documentations until Lutheran that finally broke the ranks and the protestants breaks away from the virgin Mary adherents. That's what eventually gave us the church we are having today.
Catholicism is never the beginning of Christianity. They hijacked it. you posted something, you still went about contradicting yourself. Sir, what do you have in your point 3 and 4? |

Infomaz: Not true. The Christian church started at Jerusalem where Jesus told the apostles to wait till they receive the power of the Holy Spirit. They were then empowered to spread the good news to Judea, Samaria , Rome and other parts of the world.
Sadly, the branch in Rome became paganized, but used their access to political power to start persecuting those who refused to accept her state backed authority. ok |

BreconHills: You are making an assumption that everyone at the bottom of the pyramid is an employee. That is not true. Most of them are employers; whether of family members or not. These are the micro SME's
You also assume that I am saying there should be no increase. Iam merely saying that 497k is unrealistic and impossible. The highest sustainable minimum would be between 60-70k. Even 100k with its multiplier would create goods and services that nobody could afford.
What the government should work on is food costs and the short term way to do this is selective importation.
Grants can be given to schools and transporters to cushion rise in prices.
This is the only way. The only way out of our situation is increased productivity and high costs ( including salaries) would kill that.
You can't be emotional and kill the very people you are trying to save. I still don't get you. We are talking about minimum wage for the lowest cadre of the Nigerian labour force, and you're talking about them being employers of labour and having alternatives. Is this the bone of contention? Are they employed with the agreement to have alternate source of income and divided attention, or to give their full time and effort to their organisation? Secondly, talking about solution. How is selective importation a solution? Rice has been banned from time ago and the price wasn't to the roof as today, so it has nothing to do with importation. Rice and food price is expensive today because of the high cost of fuel and diesel. Moreso, due to unpredictable exchange and huge custom tariff on importation. |

vibratingpenis: Which catholic is the base rock of christianity?
Show me one thing the Catholics are doing that peter, paul, timothy or any of the early christians indulged in. Christianity originated in Israel, the Romans persecuted and Nero even burned them alive and used them as torches for the street of Rome, so How come where christians were killed and persecuted you people made it your headquarters.
When Jesus was ascending,he didn't give catholic the sole mandate of christianity, he said he will send the counselor, the holy spirit to everyone including you and I to reveal the truth to you and I, not one white Italian deceiving you in Rome, if you can't understand what Christ meant by being heir with Him in the kingdom of God, you are playing yourself dirty.

Do you not understand the cost push of a massive wage increase?
It's Zimbabwe you are praying for.
Will increase in salary increase productivity and reduce all other factors of employment?
The NLC position is ridiculous and any sensible person knows it. would you have said this if you earn the current minimum wage of 30k and tend to feed your family from it? Let's be fair with ourselves. Paying 100k minimum is even a start, #1000 cannot conveniently feed an individual for a meal, how much more 3x meal for a day. If a manageable meal is #1000, times 30, multiplied by 3 square meal is 90,000. Are you telling me the minimum wager is not good enough to have savings? The govt singlehandedly brought the inflation and sufferings we are experiencing today. Very unnecessary policies to achieve nothing. A loaf of bread is 1500 and minimum wage is 30,000. So your so-called fantastic minimum wage can only buy a worker bread for about 20days. |

They told us every line has a NIN and every bank account has a BVN. They made Nigerians suffer under the sun qieuing up to submit biometrics for all this rubbish and yet scammers have increased. They operate freely without fear.
If at all you choose to involve the banks and the courts, you will be frustrated. All of a sudden, the bank tells you it doesn't have the details of whoever scammed you. You involve the police, they will demand outrageous sums from you in the name of tracking. You pay the police to do their job.
This is not how society should operate. Nigeria is a shame and a disgrace. scamming was never in the roof like this before, until the advent of these Fintechs. It was quite easier getting this dudes through the traditional banks, today it's a very difficult task. I hope the govt increases its tough hands on them. |

Forget agbado, there is a cold reason why government was forced to do partial removal of subsidy.
Even if they brought it back, we would be spending N900 per liter to keep fuel at n200 or lower. That means over two thirds of our budget would go on subsidy. Meaning loans have to be taken to plug the resulting deficit., meaning more debt...plus inflation will rise like madt because government would be doing ways and means to pay for the subsidy...meaning CBN would be forced to spend money it don't have to pay for subsidy.
We should have removed that thing in 2012 or even 1993. who collected loans? What were the loans used for? Had Tinubu stopped collecting loans? |
